Cyrus was busy with the parsnips and didn't hear Christopher. Jolene walked up to the newcomer instead. "Hello! You're Christopher, right?" She smiled, recognizing him from town, possibly from the library that she went to on a rare occasion when she had free time. "We have some cauliflower, though they are just beginning to come into season. You're looking to buy one? For lunch maybe?"

Mika shrugged. "Not sure, but the sea's calming enough. I'm not surprised, really." He replied with a small smile before turning his attention back to the water. (brb)

Finn pulled his beanie back over his head once again. "I guess that isn't surprising at all." He loved coming to the beach, but had never tried fishing before. This had been his first time. "Um...How do you fish so naturally?" he asked the other man.

Christopher dropped his hand and straightened up, paying more attention to the young woman in front of him. "Hey Jolene. Yeah, I was hoping I could try and make some cheese cauliflower. I've had a bit of a craving today...I guess." he realized he hadn't had a genuine conversation with Jolene before. He felt awkward, and his palms were sweating a little knees weak arms spaghetti

Mika gave another shrug. "I mean, I just sit and wait. That's all it is. I've fishing since I was a little kid. It's never been anything more than waiting and reeling in the line." He kept his eyes on the water, as he felt a soft bump on the end of the line. Not a strike, but something was messing with the hook.

Theres vomit on his sweater already moms spaghetti Jolene smiled again. "Well, I was just about to make some lunch since I'm on break. You can eat with me if you like, or you can just buy a cauliflower if you're too busy." she said. "Cheesy cauliflower is the season's dish right now after all."
Finn looked down to where the end of the line was in the water, noticing the bump. "I think you caught something?" he asked uncertainly. He had abandoned his own fishing pole to watch the other fish.

There's sweater on his vomit already spaghetti mom
Christopher grasped his hands. His plan was to just buy a cauliflower and go home, but he didn't want to reject Jolene's offer of staying to eat. "I'm on break too." he told her. I don't mind eating here, if it's not bothersome." Perhaps he should have brought his jacket after all; the weather wasn't fit for it but the jacket seemed to give him more confidence.

"Not yet." Mika replied, still watching the line. Again, the bobber tugged and then went slack. "Something's messing with the hook, but it's not caught. It might swim off before it actually bites."

He's nervous but on the surface he's mom's spaghetti
"Great! We can eat in the farmhouse then. It has a decently sized kitchen." said Jolene. She motioned for Christopher to follow her inside. The interior was nice and spacey. The wooden floor was swept clean, presenting a sizeable living room with a tile-floored kitchen next to it. Both were accessible immediately after coming in the front door. Jolene walked into the kitchen, setting the garlic down on a long oak dining table. She peeled her gloves off and set them there as well. She walked past a couple of food/water bowls on the floor and approached a pantry full of fresh food. "You can sit at the table if you like," she told Christopher, still cheery.
"Oh", was all Finn said. He sat down next to the man and patiently watched the water. He was curious now to see if the fish would get caught. Maybe it would be better than a measly little sardine.

To drop spaghetti but he keeps on spaghetti
Christopher nodded nervously and followed her inside. At the door he stopped in surprise, taken aback at the size of the house. It was certainly much bigger than the basement he lived in! "You're right, this place is huge." Christopher commented, sitting down at an oak chair next to the table. "It's nice."

(Baaack)
Jolene got out some fresh cauliflower from the pantry, the florets large and nutritious looking. She then got out some cheese and other cooking ingredients, while bringing a pot of water to a boil and dropping chopped up cauliflower in it. "So Christopher," Jolene started, feeling the need to fill up this cooking time with some chatter. "Do you work at the library?"

Mika continued to wait, watching the line in silence. He remained still, not moving the line as he waited for a real pull. The fish at the end of the line toyed with the hook a few more times. Then it hit hard enough that the line splashed a little as it sunk. Mika yanked the pole upward with a fair amount of force, feeling the line to taunt as he hooked the fish. He had it, now he just had to real it in.

Finn watched as Mika pulled on the line, fascinated. He knew that he would never be able to fish like that, with his terrible skill and lack of patience, hence him falling asleep earlier.

Christopher watched Jolene start up the cauliflower, wondering if he should be helping her or something. Gosh, he felt so awkward sitting there. Then he realized Jolene had said something to him. "Oh, yeah I work there. It's pretty great cause I have access to all the books." He looked around at the kitchen decor, eyes fixated on the wallpaper. "How's life on the farm?" he asked her.

(Alright then I'll add you right away)
"That's nice. If I had more free time I would go to the library more," Jolene said. She melted the cheese, preparing it for the cauliflower that would soon be ready. At Christopher's question, she replied, "It's hard work, but there are a lot of great things about living here. The animals, for example." As soon as she said that, a yellow figure pushed it's way through the pet door into the house. At the smell of a newcomer, the golden dog rushed over to Christopher and immediately put it's paws on the man's lap, barking happily and wagging it's tail.

Large puffs of smoke suddenly appeared in the middle of town square, accompanied by a flash of some otherworldly purple light. Suddenly, a tall woman appeared in its midst. She waved the smoke away, brushed the dust off of her dress, and readjusted the large black hat atop her maroon head. "What a disgustingly hot day", she complained, the dark colors of her outfit not boding well for the season. A small goblin peeked out from behind her, reaching up to her thigh in height. He nervously presented an umbrella to the mistress. "This should help, ma'am," He uttered in goblin language. The woman took the umbrella from him. "Why thank you, dear Brog" she cooed, opening the umbrella to give herself some much needed shade.

Lucy| Female| 19| Bisexual| Lucy is 5"5 and a bit chubby. She has black hair that has been cut into a pixie cut. She wears black clothes; high, studded boots and scarves around her waist. Her eyes are blue and she has light brown freckles all over her arms and a few on her nose. Her skin is very fair and it's commented on by many people.| Although some may perceive her style as intimidating, Lucy is very kind and gentle to others. She relishes the chance to help all the members of the community and hopes that others won't judge her on her looks. Her main flaw is the fact that she hates children. She has never been able to function around them and it can make her very uneasy to be near them. Despite this most people believe that she is just awkward and trying to get out of social situations: that is not the case.| She lives in a moderately small cottage to the south-east of Cindersnap Forest| Lucy was abandoned by her father when she was 12 after her mother died. She thinks that her father could no longer cope, although she still has no idea why he abandoned her. She found a cottage with an older lady living inside close to where her father had left her. The lady had cared for her, feeding, clothing and bonding with her. Sadly, when Lucy had been only 14 the lady had passed away. Lucy had learnt a lot from the woman about foraging and the townspeople. This enabled her to quickly establish herself, somewhat, with the town members and also helped her to gain food from where she could. Nowadays she is a very experienced forager and knows many of the townspeople.| Although she doesn't have an actual job, Lucy tells everyone that her "occupation" is to take care of sick/injured animals in the forest. She lives off of the food that she can forage and occasionally she will rummage in bins or steal food from the local farm.| Darktalon
