Silas wiped the sword on the bottom of his tunic, caring more for the weapon than the preservation of his clothes. (Though, admittedly, it was hard to find clothes his size, it would be harder for him to find a sword that suited him more.) He sheathed the slightly less bloody sword, noting the fact that it would need better cleaning later. It had always been his sword; they'd tried to give him a new one, but he had refused it in favour of the familiar. One does not easily part with a named blade; not Devastation; he'd carried it for ten years. As silly as the name seemed now, he'd kept it. To change it was to give it up.
Silas swung a leg over the railing, peering at the ground below him, but he did not see Kiyoshi. His first thought was one of panic, and the next was that perhaps the man had wisely moved into the shadows, rather than waiting about in the open. Silas didn't know which it was, but he did not see the guards, and he did not see Kiy. He would have heard something, surely, if it had gone wrong. He didn't think they would be muffled by the sounds of his own fight.
He carefully lowered himself off the balcony, using the windowsill below as a foothold, and he dropped down the last meter or so to land on his feet. He glanced around for Kiy; he had said he would get him out safely, so where was he? Surely safe, hiding in the shadows, and not anything else...? Silas ducked quickly into the dark as a guard passed, flattening against the wall. Artemesia would be nearby, he knew. What of the other two?

(( whoop you beat me to it rose - I'll quickly read and edit c; ))
From the rooftops, Artemesia had only muffled noises to guide her until the (short-lived) sounds of a brief struggle were audible when the others found their way to the balcony. It was not the sound of anything too big though, and she knew better than to jump in without it being necessary. When it was something Silas could handle alone - and he could handle plenty - it was best to stay out of the way altogether.
What Artemesia had not thought to check was Kiy on the ground. In fact, she hadn't even realised that he'd jumped down ahead of Silas until a deadly quiet settled upon the balcony below, and she peered carefully over the edge, surveying the tiny balcony, then the ground below - and while Silas's shape was unmissable on the minuscule balcony, her eyes couldn't find Kiyoshi. Panic was not immediate, though; they were trying to be discreet, after all, and it was entirely possible he was remaining hidden while Silas had been dealing with the guards.
Once Silas was on his way down, she teleported down to the balcony, careful to place herself away from its edge however, in case she lost her balance at the edge or her abilities were accidentally imprecise, as they tended to be if she used too often or tried to go too far. It was safer than teleporting straight down to the ground given that she didn't have a good view from the roof to see the guards. That choice turned out to be a mistake of it's own, though. There's nothing quite like teleporting down only to land oneself practically on top of the bodies of the dead. Of course, Silas had only done what was necessary to protect himself - to protect all of them - but it was also true that a mission gone well did not usually require the deaths of the innocent. It was not the guards' fault who paid them for their work, after all. Still, she herself had done her fair share of unplanned but necessary kills, and it was not something to dwell on.
Down on the ground, Artemesia's eyes followed Silas, but she didn't attempt to attract his attention now. If he did not look up to spot her anyway, she would be able to tell from his movements when she should join the others down there, or if there were other guards to be avoided yet.

Trying to hide was inconvenient for Silas and everyone involved, and he would be glad when it was over. But it wouldn't be over, it seemed, for the others were nowhere to be found.
He watched the guard pass, his back pressed to the cold stone of the building. It was cold enough tonight; it felt as if the wall sucked the heat right out of him, cold as steel. The man couldn't exactly say he had been happy to kill tonight, but it had been necessary; Artemesia would be thinking of it with some regret, he knew. Still, Silas did not plan to kill the passing guard, unless the man noticed him. Which he wouldn't, if he hadn't already caught sight of a large man looking like he was actively trying to fuse with a wall. And he didn't, somehow, because perhaps that just wasn't what he thought he was looking for.
Silas looked up first (if working with Ezio had taught him anything, it was to always look up) but did not see anything immediately. After scanning the windows and balconies of the manor, he caught sight of Artemesia, who was looking right at him. He almost didn't notice her, but she didn't seem to be trying to get his attention. No sign of Kiy, though, which nagged at him. He should have been here by now, and yes, they were trying to be discreet, Silas knew that, but this wasn't right.
He tried to meet Artemesia's eyes (which was a little difficult at this distance) and gestured for her to join him in the shadows. She would be better suited to looking for Kiy than he was, and they weren't about to leave without him. The history of this team was one of the things that hadn't once slipped his mind since he'd first been told.

Kiy was dragged inside and thrown into a cell. He growled in pain as his shoulder hit the hard stone floor. He looked at the guard locking the door, and the guard chuckled, "Not so smart now, are you? You are going to have so much fun when I tell Lord Donovan that we have caught one of you." The soldier laughed and walked away. Kiyoshi was weak, and he knew it, but he also knew he had no other choice. So, he closed his eyes, and his image appeared in front of Silas. "Get out of here. I-" The image flickered, "I have been captured. You need to leave though, the guards will be looking for the rest of you. Tell Artemesia and Ezio." The image disappeared.

Silas remained in the shadows cast by the buildings, weighing their options. He jumped when Kiy appeared in front of him (he didn't think he'd ever fully get used to this group), but he was quick to recover. Before he could speak, however, Kiy did, or rather Kiy's image. It flickered slightly; the man was weak enough, this was using all his energy. Silas did not get the chance to respond, alas, for in the next instant, the man had disappeared.
Silas ran his shaking hands over the back of his head, trying not to... well, not panic, but stress. He'd said he was going to get them both out, and he'd very clearly failed. The whole not stressing thing wasn't going well for him, because he already felt like pulling all his hair out. For the sake of the rest of them, they should leave, then come back for Kiyoshi the second they got the chance. The man would be used as bait for them, likely, or tortured or worse. And it would be his fault, or at least he would feel that it was.
Oh, he knew it had taken all of Kiy's energy to find him and inform him, but he'd wished for more information, like exact location, who it was, if he was injured. ...And how many? There could only be so many guards before they just started getting in each others' way.
The large man paced, putting his dark hair into his usual ponytail as he tried to focus. He hated decisions; it always seemed he made the wrong ones. But wherever Kiy was, Silas was going to find him. He just needed to think.

Kiy collapsed against the wall, panting. He closed his eyes, and let out a soft sigh, "Silas, please don't try and rescue me." He said to himself, "No one else needs to get hurt." Kiyoshi coughed, his head pounding.

Catching Silas's gaze and his signal which followed, Artemesia nodded, but then realised he most likely wouldn't be able to see that at that distance, and instance held up a finger to him in a just a moment gesture. Dipping her head back into the room from which the balcony came off (but carefully avoiding getting her feet anywhere near the bodies this time) she paused to listen for just a moment, trying to hear if there were guards nearby, or if she could hear any moving in any particular direction. It was, however, all quiet. Almost, eerily, too quiet, but then, if the remaining guards were certain of their presence, they were probably shadowing any exits and ensuring the safety of the Callahans.
With a sigh, she turned her mind to her ability, and teleported down to Silas, by his side not a heartbeat later. "Let's move," she murmured without greeting, her tone brisk but unworried. In her relatively untroubled mind, Kiy was just somewhere ahead of them, and they were only a careful retreat from the manor perimeter from their escape. Of course, the night had not gone according to plan by any stretch, but the important thing was their safety. Donovan and his mistress couldn't evade them forever. Of course, they also had the issue of how the mission had been compromised, but that was a discussion for a later time.

Still pacing, Silas glanced back up at Artemesia, who lifted her hand to him. The gesture was a tad difficult to see, but he recognized she was holding out one finger, telling him to wait a second. Well, he didn't want to wait. He wanted to go now. The man paced back and forth, impatient. There wasn't much space in the shadows where he was, so it was only a few steps before he turned back. He didn't know when the guards would walk by (or even if they would) but that wasn't the point. He wanted to be long gone before then, so he would not have to worry about it.
Artemesia had disappeared inside (and was likely still in there, for she was gone when he looked up) but he knew she would not make him wait long. They had to move fast if they were going to help Kiy. The woman appeared beside him just moments later. Silas didn't jump this time at least, for he'd watched her appear. It was far better than turning around only to find she'd been there for who knew how long.
"Mm," he said in response, used to her rather informal way of saying hello. "Don't know how they did it, but they got Kiy when I wasn't looking." He glanced over his shoulder, back at the manor. It would have been logical for him to ask Artemesia to teleport around, to see if she could find where they were keeping him, but Silas felt that was his job; he had been the one who was supposed to be watching him, and he felt largely responsible. If anything happened to anyone because he'd been negligent, it would kill him, and he would never let himself forget. Artemesia would know that, and Kiy would be as aware of that fact as she. But he wasn't going to let either of them talk him out of it.

Artemesia's body froze at Silas's fateful words, her hand hovering at her temple as she had moved to brush her dark hair away from her eyes. A finger's length shorter than reaching her waist, it was always tied up or pinned away from her face anytime she meant business - but something about teleporting always seemed to cause it to try and escape. For the second time on this mission, curses fell from her tongue, the first a reaction to their situation, the second quieter yet somehow even more biting, because she'd forgotten then to keep her voice low, and she'd hate to have to pay for her temper at a time so vital. Luckily, their immediate area appeared free of guards still, but Silas's thoughts were correct: it was only a matter of time.
"You've got to be kidding," she groaned, even though they both knew there was no way any of them ever could be. Letting her hand drop, she leant against the wall, head tilted back slightly as she tried to gather her thoughts. This whole mission was turning out far more difficult than it was worth, Artemesia thought. It wasn't like she could be angry with Silas; she should have kept an eye on where Kiyoshi was too, and at least Silas had the excuse that he'd had the guards to deal with. With her, it was simply poor observation, and it was somebody else who paid for the mistake. "Do you know where he is? Is he hurt- is he okay?" she questioned urgently, straightening up again but willing herself not to fidget. Or punch a wall. Or kill someone. They needed a plan. Their numbers were now cut in half from the start of this mission, and any more mistakes could ruin their only chances of salvaging an already awful situation.

Silas watched her reaction silently. He said nothing when she cursed, just waiting for her to finish with the same combination of worry, irritation and frustration that had befallen him just a minute prior. He said nothing, for he knew that if tried to talk through it, he would wind up just annoying himself further. He needed to keep his temper, or he'd do exactly what Artemesia seemed to be thinking about, and punch a wall. Which would not only hurt his hand, but would also be loud enough to draw more attention to them, if Artemesia's curse hadn't already. At least they were alone for the moment, with the guards currently surveying the other side of the manor.
"If I knew," he said. "I wouldn't still be standing here." No, if he knew, he would have been off rescuing him. He would be fighting as many men as he would have to if it meant getting his team mate back. It wasn't just the matter of who it was, but because he had promised, he had agreed. Silas kept his word; he could not stand lying, liars, traitors, any of it. He'd had too many bad experiences with them. He knew how much it hurt to have someone he thought a friend leave him behind.
Silas would give it his all, because otherwise the guilt of it would bug him for the rest of his days. Those guards had better hope Kiy wasn't too injured; if he was, it would be ugly for them. It didn't what manner of men they claimed to be or how skilled in combat they were; no matter what, it would be a death sentence to have a man like Silas after them. "But I said I was going to get him out of here. If I have to charge in and search behind every door to find him, then I will."

Artemesia was, at her core, a practical person. Part of what most annoyed her about this failed mission was that their careful plan was built largely on information she had gathered. She had her own brand of boldness, yes, but her courage was built from her ability to give them all the best chance of success. While Silas's pertinacity was admirable, it was dangerous to cross the line into recklessness. "Jump into this and you'll find yourself in the exact same place," Artemesia deadpanned. "You can keep your word without doing anything foolish." She didn't doubt his strength for a second, but she sure wasn't going to underestimate Callahan's guards either. Similarly, she didn't believe for a second that Kiyoshi would give them any information, however hard they pressed, but she feared what they'd do once they knew the same.
"There's a cellar beneath the manor," Artemesia thought aloud, frowning and narrowing her eyes as she tried to remember the drawn floor plans they'd got their hands on during the planning for their original mission. A wine cellar, supposedly, but that didn't mean there wasn't more down there. "That's a possibility - especially when they must know we've been using windows to get in to the house. But I can't remember where the stairs should be." And they'd only be wasting time if it was a false lead. The manor house was sizeable to say the least. Not only that, but if Donovan and Juliana decided to temporarily flee their home out of fear, they may well decide to take their new prisoner along for the ride. There were too many unknowns in this situation, and Artemesia hated it, not to mention there was only two of them here, and she knew she'd be fighting Silas's stubbornness to keep them from unneeded danger.

Silas scoffed, as he usually did when he knew he was wrong. He turned to look at the wall, leaned against it, hands braced forward, his head hanging as he stared at the ground. He let out a long sigh, nodding. He still scowled at the ground, but he did not argue. How else did she propose they do this, if not that? She was right that he couldn't just charge in there, but they couldn't just do nothing, either. He raised his head to look over his shoulder at her.
That was a start, sure, that cellar. But how did she plan to get there if she couldn't tell him where it was? Could she teleport in there, just by thinking about it, or did she have to know where she was going first? If she could teleport there, teleport out, she could then find where the nearest door was for Silas to enter through. Though, logic would say that wasn't even necessary; she could get Kiy out on her own, probably.
But all of that relied heavily on Kiy being where she thought he was. "It's safe to start by going down," he said, but of course he knew that wasn't how that worked. It felt stupid as soon as he said it, sarcastic or not. They couldn't go down without finding the stairs, but at least they knew what kind of stairs they were looking for. "Are you able to teleport to places you can't see, or you haven't been before?"

Kiyoshi had regained a bit of energy, and he managed to send another image to Silas. "Do not co-come, I-i can get som-some info stay-staying here." The image flickered, "do not come to get me." The image dissipated, and Kiy fell limp, panting.

Don't worry about it; life always comes first. Thanks for the update, though.]]
Silas stumbled back from the wall when Kiy appeared again. Obviously another image, though, perhaps this one was a little stronger than the first had been. Still much weaker than usually, flickering and blinking. "Yes," Silas said, "but they'll get the same from you." Now, he knew that wasn't true. He knew that Kiy would never tell them anything, but that was the problem. What would they do once the found that out? It was nothing good, and they all knew it. Though in other context the words could have been argued, the others all knew exactly what Silas meant by them.
But Kiy didn't have a strength for an argument. Silas knew that. The next moment, the image faded and the man was left to imagine the other waking up on the floor, drowning on air. Silas turned to Artemesia, frowning even more so than before. "'Don't come get me?' What's that supposed to mean? How long does he expect us to put that off?"
