Thomas nodded slowly. "We could go swimming or we could go on the beach and get to know each other better. It seems you're quite different than I thought you were." He smiled once more. He looked over his shoulder quickly then back at Alice. "We could do both as well." It was still light out but his family was probably waiting for him and wondered why he hadnt come to their spacious lodge near the sea. "I must be going now. I'm sorry for leaving so abruptly. You give me your answer and I will then leave." Thomas hoped he didn't sound rude leaving her like this.

Alice was not liking this impression she was giving Thomas. She was too forward, too comfortable for her own good, and not very lady like at all. Her mother would be horrified, as well as her father. And Alice was quite ashamed. She wanted to give a more proper impression of herself, one that was more respectful and not one that made men say 'you're quite different than I thought out were'. While some may find it a compliment, Alice did not. She wanted to fulfill her duty, the reason she was put on Earth, this wasn't it. Not for someone of her status and position in society. "I will do whatever you are more comfortable with, but as for my address, it's 3329, Longfellow Court. It's quite close to here actually."

Thomas nodded. "Okay. I'll be there in about an hour. I'll try to be prompt. Maybe well go to the beach. Who will be picking you up? Or are you going home alone?" He got up.

"I have a servant waiting for me on the end of the street, and a walk sounds quite nice. I'll see you in an hour then Mr. Browning." She pulled out her purse, and set down enough money to pay for both of their meals, considering she was the one who had originally invited him to lunch before standing up. She nodded to him politely before speaking, "Please have a safe ride home, I'll try to be ready as soon as I can."

Thomas gave Alice a nod as well. "Thank you. Same goes for you too." He her out the door and they then both parted. He got on his carriage and was off to the lodge he was stating in. Once he got there he parked his carriage and a Sargent nodded to him and took care of it. Thomas strode into the lodge not expecting his family to be standing and staring right at him. "Where have you been?" His mother asked, flashing him a look. "I've been talking with someone." He said going by his family, up to his room. "How was the meeting, father?" Thomas's father nodded. "Very good. The thank you. Now who were you talking to?" Thomas wondered if he should tell his parents or not. He didn't know if he would like their reactions. "Um. . . one of the Taylors." His father stared at him for awhile. "Oh, not thee Taylors?" Thomas knew it. His father was not happy. "Yes. She was quite nice. I've already had dinner, so please excuse me." And Thomas, a little irritated, went up to his room.
