One Valkoinen had gotten her hair to the point where it wouldn't drip anymore, she put the towel around her shoulders and started walking toward the others. Seeing that Key hadn't quite gotten himself or Murkrow fully dry, she picked up the towel he'd been using and tossed it over his head. "You're going to get water everywhere like that." She mumbled, roughly rubbing the towel against his hair a few times before leaving it for him to figure out. At least his hair was shorter than hers, which made it easier to dry faster.
Mika spotted the two of them and came over to help, holding out his hand for the Murkrow to climb on him. He didn't want to pick it up and startle it, so he waited for it to move first, taking the towel he'd used for Eevee to dry it with.
Since he'd set Eevee down, the normal-type moved over to Leuka, looking to be held again. She picked him up and scratched the top of his head a few times, following Key's gaze out the window to see if he'd seen something or not.

"Do you mind?" Darrius almost snapped, although it wasn't because he was angry. He was more startled by the attack on his hair than anything else. He yanked the towel away from his head and continued to stare.
The Murkrow, having not been any help in this situation, and thus Key hadn't given him any help to dry his feathers, gladly accepted Mika's help by bouncing onto his hand.

Anastanya 'Anya' Vivienne Dionysia Dryakian // Normally I write her as 19, but I can age her up no problem // Female
The only progeny of the rulers of the land, she lived the rather prim and proper life of a princess until the age of 15, when her magical abilities appeared with no explanation, and, having no idea how to control her new and unstable powers, she accidently killed her mother during an argument. The king, wanting to keep the truth of the incident quiet, told the kingdom that the queen had died at the hands of an assassin and that the princess had been captured and was being held prisoner by a rival kingdom. In truth, the king had sent Anya to an old, previously abandoned castle within the territory of an allied kingdom, where she was, in fact, held prisoner, not because the kingdom wanted anything from her family, but because it was the only way to have her punished as a criminal without anyone outside of a few select circles finding out. It also kept the only heir alive. While it is not exactly terrible in the castle--it is a castle, after all, no matter how old--it is extremely isolated, which has caused a bit of psychological damage to the princess. Her father occasionally sends knights in an attempt to 'rescue' her, while in reality just bringing scant supplies and making sure she hasn't died yet.
She stands 5'7", with warm brown skin and long, curly, and somewhat unkempt, dark hair. While she was born with brown eyes, around the time of the incident her eyes changed to an unnaturally bright shade of blue, somewhat like this. She doesn't really know how to interact with other people anymore and how she behaves can change very quickly.
I fluctuate between having her demiromantic or aromantic, though, either way, she's ace as hell.

I know that wasn't very helpful lol. I had to poof to go and get lunch so I wanted to post something.
She's a great character. Perhaps Aoife could be going in to see if there is any treasure and she meets her? (also I'm thinking of making her human form less human. Its still humanoid, but she still has some scales, sharp teeth and claws perhaps?)

No problem, I figured you were doing something.
And sure, that sounds good to me. And I'd be fine with her human form being less human, but I was wondering if it would still be to the point that she could hide it if she wanted to, like under long sleeves and stuff or something? Cos I could just see Anya thinking she's another human at first and getting really excited that Aoife has unnatural eyes like she does.

"Not at all." Valkoinen retorted with a small roll of her eyes. She sat down on the nearest bench with the Eevee still in her arms. She continued petting the little fellow with a small smile. He was a sweetie and she considered Mika lucky to have him.
Mika began to pat the Murkrow dry so the towel, careful to follow the grain of its feathers, offering a smile. "I've never met such a friendly Murkrow." He commented.

@ sparky - Probably, yeah. She would do that when going into towns and such when buying food.
@ val - Key just sighed, "so, where are you two heading?" He asked, having no idea what else to ask. "Krow! Mur! Murkrow!" The dark type pokemon fluffed out its feathers and Key let out a long laugh, before realising that humans couldn't normally understand pokemon.

Mika looked a little puzzled at his laughter, but he still smiled. "Well, I suppose we're just going to make our way to the next town. We're not exactly heading anywhere specific."

(Ah yeah, I'll do that.)
May wandered around the camp, eavesdropping on other people's conversations. As he wandered past one of the groups, he heard them say something about Harry, one of their more crazy members. He padded over to them questioningly. "What'd Harry do now?" He asked them "You didn't hear? He went out to look for a monster to dust!" One of them said, and laughed slightly. May nodded, trying to stay calm. Quickly he padded behind one of the buildings. One he was out of view, he began running toward Harry's cabin. His was more isolated, so he might be able to do some good and stop him. Once he arrived at the cabin, he grabbed a small pebble and padded inside, hoping he hadn't arrived yet. When he went inside, he was shocked to see who he'd captured. Shaking his head, he quickly threw the pebble at Harry to bring him out of the FIGHT. "Hey! Dad heard you went out without permission. You know the rules, now I have to take the monster to him to dust." He said angrily.

Chill, who was cowering on the ground looked up when May entered, before looking away again. Harry turned away from her and she scrambled backwards, a thick wall of ice going up around her protecting her from whatever would happen should Harry decide to attack outside of the FIGHT.
Harry wasn't pleased that he had been pulled out of the fight and turned to face May. "Who cares about what you Dad says you little punk! I'll dust all the monsters that I want to."

"Not at all." Mika replied, still smiling as he dried the flying-type's feathers. Once he was finished, he handed the Murkrow back. "Do you have enough supplies to spend a few days on the road?" He asked. If not, they could spot him a little money and help him get some gear together.
Valkoinen heard Mika inviting Key along and she gave a small frown. She still didn't like it, but since he seemed so set on bringing the other trainer along, she felt arguing to be a waste of breath.
(Gotta go for a bit. So much HW to do.)

May didn't dare look at Chill while Harry was there, instead he took a step forward and crossed his arms. "You know the rules and the punishments. If you dust a monster without permission, my father will lock you up for a while at best, and at worst you wont be able to dust any monsters for a minimum of three months." He reminded him. His father drilled the rules into his head so he could be some sort of officer.

Anya slowly made her way down the winding staircase, a dagger held in one hand, the other feeling her way along the wall. She'd been woken up by something, some noise loud enough to reach the room she slept in despite seeming to come from several stories below her. Of course, it could have been her imagination, something leftover from a nightmare or one of her delusions but... it had sounded real. Though, with her, that didn't mean much at this point. Still, the knights never came this far into the castle and she was better off safe than sorry. Just in case someone had decided she was more trouble than she was worth.
Warmth spread to her hands, small tendrils of energy twisting around her fingers, offering a little more light than the sliver of the moon. She paused, balling her hands into fists as she struggled to calm down. Not now. Please, not now. She didn't need to give them any more reason to kill her than they already had. A sharp intake of breath and quick bit of pain were enough to get the magic to dissipate, but as she continued forward she forced herself to focus on taking deep breaths.
"Who's there?" Anya called when she reached the bottom of the stairs. She had no idea how close she actually was to the noise's source. "Show yourself!" She held the dagger in both hands, arms straight in front of her.

@ val - Key hesitated for a few moments. For the past couple of days he had been surviving off what berries he found and what other pokemon brought him, he had a fondness for stirius when available, but he didn't really think he needed much, so he nodded anway. "Yeah," He replied, "I'll be okay."
@ real - (can i still call you that?) Harry glared, but backed down. "Fine! But I get to dust it after your father's seen it!" He stormed out of the cabin, leaving the both of them alone. Chill was trembling.
@ Sparky - Aoife liked old castles. She liked looking for treasures and all different kinds of old things. She knew that this castle was occupied, she had been watching it for a little while, always flying over late at night, seeing the flickering fires that meant occupation. Why today she had decided to go in? It was a week cycle She saw that knights came every Monday morning and always left at lunchtime.
The knights returned again on Thursday night, and it was between that time that she decided to arrive so that she would not be caught by the visitors and just had the single occupaint to deal with.
When Aoife heard the voice she had been digging through a dusty old box that held lots of old photo albums and a few pearls. She turned, head tilted with an old canvas bag hanging from her mouth. She could smell something that wasn't strictly human. She stood, pulling her sleeves down to cover her scaled arms before stepping out to where she heard the voice. She held her hands up, "I'm not armed."

May glared at him until he was out of sight. When he was gone, his gaze softened and he looked over at Chill. He took a few steps toward her, seeing that she was still shaking. "Are you alright?" He asked her through the wall of ice.

Anya frowned when the figure stepped into the dark hallway, still not completely sure if the intruder was real or not. The voice, completely unfamiliar, was making her lean towards real, but she had been wrong before. She shifted her grip on the dagger, trying to steady her hands.
"And why should I believe you? Why would someone break in somewhere without at least something to use if they got caught?" she asked, eyes narrowed. In the darkness, the blue seemed to be luminescent, though it was hard to say whether or not it was a trick of the dim lighting.
"Who are you and why are you here?" Anya demanded. Her gaze flickered to the canvas bag, though what could be in there, she didn't know. Weapons? Items from the castle? "Are you a thief? An assassin?" She took a step forward. "Answer me. Now!"

@ real - Chill shook her head in response. No, she was not okay. She had been caught by a duster, been dragged across the forest and had almost been shot and dusted. She was trembling so much that she could feel her feathers start to frost over. She covered her face in her paws, trembling.
@ sparky - Aoife felt a shiver run down her spine as she was met with the eyes of the princess. They were as unnatural as her yellow and it scared her. "I'm a thief." She responded while her hands were hands still up, "I'm just here looking for anything old. I was not going to confront you if I could help it. I mean no harm to you." Her eyes flickered over Anya's eyes before flicking back down to the dagger. It couldn't kill her, but it would still hurt like hell.

May padded over and knelt down next to the wall of ice. He knew she wouldn't trust him, but he wanted to ask if he could help her get somewhere safe, or back to where she came from, but that was more then just a stretch. "Could I help in any way?" He decided to ask.

Chill didn't know how to respond. She knew that her voice would probably be useless right now, so she just have a shrug in response. She gulped a little and pointed at the door. She didn't know if he could understand sign, but she did sign 'get me out.' The ice melted away, slowly.

(Holy cow, you're right.) (Actually, in that case, you and Vic are 2 of my 3 oldest friends at the moment) (That's weird to think about)
Anya scowled, staring at Aoife's eyes. Even when the thief looked away, they stayed yellow, which meant it wasn't a trick of the light and probably not a trick of her brain. Did that mean...?
She shifted the dagger so she was only holding it with her injured hand, slowly walking closer. "Well, you did a great job, then. It's a wonder I discovered you, you were being so sneaky and quiet," she said, voice dripping with sarcasm. "Of course, none of this stuff is mine, and it's all so old that I can't see why anyone, even someone like you, would want it." Anya stopped in front of her, thinking.
Anya poked her in the shoulder, tilting her head slightly. She was definitely real, and Anya wasn't quite sure if that was a good or a bad thing right now. She grabbed Aoife's jaw, moving the thief's head so she could study her eyes closer. "Your eyes," she said quietly, voice suddenly softening. "They... They're like mine. I'm not the only one like this. I'm not the only freak. I... Who are you?"

May nodded in response, somewhat understanding what she meant. He padded over to the door and opened it just enough to see out. The coast was clear, but no doubt Harry probably went to get his father. He closed the door and went back over to Chill, knelt down and held out his hand to help her up. "There's no one there, come on." He whispered. He knew he probably might have to keep away from the village now. Though permanently or temporarily he wasn't sure.

Aoife watched her curiously, allowing her to move her head. "I think you're mistaken, Princess." She said softly, giving her a soft smile that only slightly revealed her sharp teeth. "My name is Aoife Mor Rioghan, and I think that you're reaching blindly in the dark. She reached up and gently removed Anya's hands from her face before stepping back once.

Chill followed him cautiously, feathers standing on end from the frost on her pelt. She glanced back towards the camp and moved closer to May as he moved away. Despite him being a Duster, she trusted him ... at least for the moment.

After about twenty minutes of walking in the opposite direction of the camp, he stopped. He figured they'd be safe this far away, as dusters mostly go the other way to find monsters to dust, so maybe they would think he went that way. Suddenly he remembered something. His phone! His father could track his phone easily! He quickly pulled it out of his pocket and threw it to the ground. He hoped it would be broken from that, but just to be sure he grabbed a stick and hit it, smashing it up. He looked back at Chill again. "Sorry." He said.
