"I'm not fighting other pokemon." Key said, leaving no room to argue. "Pokemon are not tools to be used like that." He was glaring, but at nothing in particular. "I prefer berries anyway, I can live off those for as long as it takes me."

Valkoinen gave a small frown at that. "We never said pokemon were tools. It's no different than betting on a boxing match. Besides, if a pokemon doesn't want to fight, any trainer worth their coin will let them sit out."
"If he doesn't want to fight, don't make him." Mika replied. "There are plenty of trainers that prefer to avoid battles and stick with other means of competition. There's nothing wrong with keeping a pokemon purely for its company." He said simply, patting Eevee on the head. The little fellow had been asleep for most of the commotion still. He wasn't sure if he wanted to keep Eevee out of fights once it was fully grown, but right now he was putting a focus on avoiding battles since Eevee was so little.

( haha!! That would be funny! But then plasma catches him and its not so funny anoymore. we don't have to do it, i rpjust realsed how spotlighyt this is atm. How about either Val or Mika get trapped in a nightmare not caused by key and he helps bring them out of it. Thst ot they get hypnotised y a hypno. This post has a lot of typos that i cant be bothered to fox.. Im about to go to bed and i can harlt keep my eyes open.))

(XD thats ok I'm about to go to class. Gotta get breakfast first though.) (Yeah, she'd stop teasing him with the toys after that... and don't worry about it. A 1x1 allows for some spotlighting, since its not too hard to balance out. If someone's in trouble, it takes another someone to rise and help them out, thus growth for both characters~ To have Key separated from the group due to Plasma and then perhaps taken away would mean for Valkoinen to have to get a partner pokemon to be of much use. (She'd attack on her own, but 1v1 doesn't work so well if the other guy's got pokemon and doesn't feel like fighting.) Considering they'll be on the trail for some time before the Grunts can report in to Cyrus, they'll have plenty of time to sleep close enough to Key to experience nightmares.)

(Well they'll probably walk for the day, pass a few pokemon, then set up camp.)

(okie.
how was your day?)
After a long time of walking, passing several wild Pokemon and Key's Pokemon annoying him to the point where he shouted at them to shut up - he apologised right after, but his Pokemon both seemed more subdued. As it started to get darker, Key seemed a little more cautious as he peered around the darkening forest. "Do you think we should set up a camp?" He asked.

(I'm tired. >^< My final project is going to be rough.)
Valkoinen gave a nod. "Yeah... That might be best. If you guys can get a campfire going, I'll set up the tent and we can start on dinner." She suggested, pulling the lighter out of her bag and passing it to Mika.
Mika gave a small nod before looking at Key. "I'll take care of the fire, how's your night vision?" He asked, curious if he retained this skill or not.

"It sucks." Key responded, "I can't see anything." He sighed, sitting down on the ground. His umbreon crawled into his lap and his Murkrow fluttered down onto his shoulder. He passed each of them an oran before chewing one himself.

Mika nodded. "Alright, I guess stay close to the campsite then." He'd been about to suggest Key find berries if he wanted any, but he seemed to have plenty stored up. He'd have to keep in mind to watch for them while they walked and help out collecting them. He set the Eevee down and the two of them started collecting rocks close to the size of poke balls, moving them in a circle to serve as the fire pit border before he started digging out a little area to keep the fire contained. Within a few minutes, Eevee had pulled some kindling and fallen branches and Mika lit them in the pit.
By now Valkoinen had the tent nearly finished as she finished driving the last peg into the ground. She stood up and dusted the dirt from her knees before heading back to the others. "I still have some packaged dinners from earlier." She offered, pulling them out of her bag as she sat down.

"I would rather not eat human food if I can help it." Key said quietly as he chewed on one of his berries. "Thank you for the offer though."

"Are you sure a human body can get by on just berries, though?" Mika asked, a little concerned that he might make himself sick. True, humans could eat berries, but eating just fruit didn't sound appealing, and it definitely sounded like it didn't have the proper nutrition he'd need to keep going.
"Well, we'll just find out. If he can't, we'll get him something close to what he can eat." Valkoinen replied, passing a dinner to Mika. The Eevee climbed onto his lap and poked its nose at the container until Mika gave a small sigh with a smile and passed it a small piece of vegetable from the meal.

"You're probably right." He said in response, "but I don't really care. I don't plan on eating anything that has been touched by another human." He sighed, watching as Umbreon climbed off his lap and over to the Eevee. "Why do you think the Eevee that I found evolved?" He asked.

The Eevee turned its attention to the older pokemon, sniffing at it curiously without leaving the comfort of Mika's lap. Mika gave a small sigh to Key's question as he pet the little one. "I'm not sure. If you really are a legendary pokemon, I assume you might have some sort of influence over pokemon that have the same type as you had. I mean, I'm not sure why you were able to change a normal type pokemon, but that's the closest answer I can think of."
Valkoinen gave a small shrug, starting to eat her dinner. She paused briefly before she spoke. "You did keep a few of your abilities. There has to be something. Maybe you just don't remember?"

Key was quiet for a few moments as he considered this. "Before you came along, Murkrow here tapped one of those ball things. The same with Umbreon. They knocked me over and grabbed jumped on them. These things." He pulled them out, "What exactly are they?" He placed them down on the ground, looking at them curiously. He was unable to capture himself with his own pokeballs - which was lucky, but he had no idea why that was so - hell, he barely even knew what the pokeballs did.

Valkoinen looked a little confused. "You don't know what pokeballs are? Well, I suppose that's fair considering your situation, but these are common items. Even children know about them and some use them to keep pokemon of their own."
Mika nodded. "There's different kinds with different capture rates. Probably every trainer we meet will have them. They're for traveling with multiple pokemon, and for protecting pokemon if they're injured so you can get them to a Center safely.

"And this Centre heals pokemon, yes? Is that what you did when we stayed there?" His voice was crurious, despite his apparent uncaring demeanour. It was actually kind of cute. Murkrow cawed a bit and Key passed him another berry and he calmed down. "And ... I'm assuming that you can't understand pokemon either. ... right?"

"If I was a battle-focused trainer, I would have. But Eevee didn't need healing, so we didn't." Mika replied with a smile. "Most pokemon and humans are unable to communicate word for word. It's not hard to understand what a pokemon wants by their tone, but we can't really carry conversations with them like you seem to be able. There are some pokemon who can speak human languages, but that's as far as I know."

"I can't understand them all the time. Sometimes they talk to fast or so some other reason, but ..." He shrugged, considering what had just been said. "Do you trust me?" He asked, "the people at the chruch didn't. So many people have said so many bad things about me I just don't know if I am a good person..." He trailed off slightly and looked very conflicted.

"Do you mean do I believe your story?" Mika asked, uncertain if that was what he meant by his question. "I mean, something like this borders on fantastical, but I can see you really mean what you say."
"I don't think that's how he meant." Valkoinen replied. "And if you want an honest answer, no. I don't trust easily. It would take more than few days of walking with me to earn my trust. Truly it's not something I give to any human. It's a little easier with pokemon, though." She admitted. "As for that good-person/bad-person nonsense, don't pay a second thought to it. Just do the best you can."

"You were right Val, yes." Key mumbled, stroking Murkrow's head as the flying type settled in his lap. "I suppose you're right, yes. Thank you." He shifted so he was laying on his back, arms behind his head. "Thank you for believing me." He mumbled.
