Yeah that works. Would you like me to start or you? And I noticed you are an advanced roleplayer, I'll try to match your post length as best as I can. Although it depends on muse, how much time I have to write something, and a few other things. Is there a certain line length you would prefer me to reach? I would hate to disappoint XD

Icarus ;; πΎππππππππ
It felt like an eternity before the clock on her Honors Physics classroom wall struck 14:15. Or 2:15pm if you don't use the twenty four hour clock - aka βmilitary timeβ. However, Mackenzie did in fact use the twenty four hour clock, just like her family always has. But in whichever way you interpret time, it meant school was out and the weekend had just begun. If there was one thing in this world that Mackenzie needed, it was a break. School was beyond draining as she was striving to get an advanced diploma as well as however many scholarships she can get along the way. It was mountains of paperwork, hours of volunteer and study time, and early mornings of practicing drill for her Air Force Junior Reserve Officerβs Training Corps (AFJROTC) class. It was hectic - no, it was pandemonium - trying to juggle everything. But it would pay off in the end, Mackenzie was sure of that.
At least she didn't have any class work this weekend, as she normally finished her work in class. But she might as well consider herself having homework since she normally helped Ryker with his. He was so reckless and such a procrastinator sometimes it made her want to rip her hair out. However, she knew she never would, it would be embarrassing if she did so, and very unlike her. She had to admit though that underneath Rykerβs rebellious and impulsive personality he was still a good friend and person, and that was why Mackenzie was his friend. Otherwise they probably wouldn't have even known the other existed.
She quickly gathered her things, trying to leave Mrs. Jacksonβs class quickly because of her eagerness to start the weekend and hopefully catch Ryker before he drove home. She turned this way and that through the large school (it was two stories high and contained about 2,000 students) to get to the front of the school. It was always a struggle to walk through crowds considering her size. One would have thought that they gave her the right of way as to not crush her on accident. But she was very wrong, and found herself having to walk directly behind any tall stranger so they could plow through the crowds for her.
It was a coincidence that the person she was walking behind however happened to be Ryker. Just the person she was looking for, βRyker?β Mackenzie said his name as if it was a question. Like she was trying to double check it was him. Mackenzie didn't need him to say βyesβ to know that it was him though. She could spot Ryker from almost anywhere.

To say that Ryker wasn't really interested in high school would be an understatement. As the clock gradually ticked closer and closer to freedom, Ryker found himself staring at the whiteboard of his calculus class, studying the numbers while at the same time not paying much attention. It was more that he was counting the imperfections in the board, and the wall behind it, than he was really listening to Mr. Keene lecture about determing the derivative of a graph of a curve. It wasn't that the material was hard - quite the opposite in fact - but it was more the fact that it was two pm on a Friday, and that he was about to go crazy from the sound of someone tapping their pencil on the desk next to him. He frowned, shooting the kid a glare. The kid swallowed nervously, and ceased his incessant tapping. Finally, finally, the bell tolled through the school and announced that it was officially the weekend. Ryker held his bookbag open and swept his notebook into the cavity with one arm in the same motion that he stood up, unfurling his six-foot height, and started for the door, zipping the bag and throwing it over one shoulder as he went. Thank God it was finally the weekend, though Ryker felt his patience ticking away as the crowds of students slammed into him. He ground his teeth back and forth and counted from one-hundred in his head to keep from punching or swearing at anyone; he'd been warned that any more reckless behavior on school grounds would see him expelled, and as much as he hated high school, he recognized its importance to his future.
Something called to him, drawing him out of his haze of counting, and he reflexively stopped walking as his brain processed whatever noise had distracted him. A name - his name, to be exact, and he recognized the voice that had spoken it. He craned his neck around, the corner of his mouth stretching upward into its signature half-smirk. "Mack," he greeted, shortening her name as he always did. He furrowed his brow, though his smile didn't fade. "Not going to lecture me on school, are you? It's Friday, Mack. Live a little; let your hair loose, would ya?" He waited until she'd reached his side before he continued walking in the general direction of his car. Ryker hated homework with a burning passion, and often refused to do it until the last possible moment. If Mackenzie wanted to lecture him on doing his homework early, she would be wasting her time - not that she'd take the hint, of course. She was as stubborn as he was when it came to trying to get him on the right path, and he found it genuinely endearing.

Mackenzie let out an exasperated sigh at Rykerβs words. She knew she would never get through to him, which begs the question: why did she bother pushing him? It was true he did his work, but for him told it off until the last minute seemed very irresponsible. Not only that, but if he wanted to have fun over the weekend, it made much more sense to get his homework finished Friday night. She would hate to have that weight over her head the entire weekend. It almost felt like homework guilt tripped her in a sense. Plus her mother would be furious with her. She was always hard on Mackenzie about everything. Which to her made sense, she wanted her only child to be successful in whatever Mackenzie decided to do with her life. βI'm afraid I don't have enough hair to βlet looseβ.β she raised an eyebrow at Ryker, smile gracing her lips. Her hair was indeed short, cut at her chin. It was much to short too do anything with besides curl, or straighten.
Mackenzie tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear with a sort of annoyed face. She hated when her hair didn't stay in place. βI know, I know...you don't want me to lecture you.β she paused for a moment before continuing, βI highly doubt you're even listening right now,β she chuckled, βbut I want to know what would push you to just...do your homework.β Mackenzie knew he understood the material, he just didn't want to do it. And for one reason or another, it bugged her even if it was none of her business. She always found herself to be helpful to Ryker, whether he felt the same or not, she didn't really know. Mackenzie hated to feel unwanted or annoying, and she assumed Ryker would have told her if she was, so - also assumingly - she wasn't annoying. Of course, that was all under assumption.
Mackenzie adjusted the shoulder strap of her backpack as they progressed through the parking lot to Rykerβs car. She had her own, but she would rather talk with Ryker for now until they had to part ways. βWhat do you have planned for the weekend anyway?β she tilted her head slightly to the left as she asked. Her mother commented that it made her look like their dog sometimes, but not necessarily in a bad way. At least, Mackenzie hoped it wasn't meant to be an insult.

hello! Okay, that's fine. I'll save your schedule somewhere so I know when you're on. Sorry if I'm poofy today, I just got Breath of the Wild, I'm out for lunch, I have homework, and The Walking Dead is on haha. But when it comes to post length, mine varies normally on Muse and how much time I have to write a reply. I'm not as advanced as I used to be, but I'll try to match your post length to the best of my ability. Would you like to make a rudimentary character form or would you prefer to describe through rp?
