Mackenzie Burton ~ Mackenzie is a Caucasian and Hispanic female, who stands around 5'3" in height, and weighs approximately 100 pounds. She has normally been on the more petite side of the scale and is beginning to grow. One could call her a 'late bloomer'. Mackenzie has a very straight figure, with very small curves and small hands and feet. Her finger are thin, which help her using her art utensils. Mackenzie has a heart shaped face, and fair complexion. Her cheeks are a light pink, and her nose often gets freckles when exposed to sunlight for long periods of time. Her eyes are large, brown and almond shaped behind her black Vera Bradley glassed. Her eye lashes are dark, and it appears as if she is wearing mascara but yet not long enough for her to say she is. Mackenzie has pink lips, and wears teal colored braces. One side of her mouth goes up a little more than the other, giving a slightly crooked yet charming smile. Her hair is often kept short, no longer than her chin. Her hair is dark brown, almost black, and very thick. It is often parted to the right, and some of her bangs like to fall in her face. ~ David Burton (Father;Deceased) Stephanie Burton (Mother;Alive). Mackenzie Burton's father was in the United States Army as a Working Dog Handler. While on a deployment to Iraq, a bomb was failed to be detected by the dog the day previous outside of the nearby village, and his jeep drove on top of it. He was killed in the explosion. Her mother slowly became depressed and her and her daughter's relationship became more and more strained. In turn, it resulted in arguments, which led Mackenzie going over to a friend's house for a night or two at a time. Although her mother and her are becoming closer again, it is still difficult to communicate.

Ryker Thane At almost six feet tall, Ryker is quite an imposing figure. He's a quiet person; merely his presence tends to set people on edge, as if he were a predator lurking in their midst. It's an accurate description, considering that Ryker often comes across as a wolf in sheep's clothing. His expressions are often blank, and he's become a master at stoicism. The effect of Ryker isn't helped by the dark, stormy coloring of his eyes, that seem to drift between blue and gray, and often reflect a conflicted soul if one looks deep enough. Ryker's hair is a dark black-brown that he often keeps tousseled, as if he's just rolled out of bed. Ryker's home life isn't necessarily bad; his relationships with his parents are on good terms, if sometimes strained. His mother is a quiet meek woman by the name of Siobhan, and despite her soft nature, she is strongly independent and portrayed such on her son. Ryker's father, Warren, is a stern man who only wants the best for his son, but seems to struggle when it comes to dealing with Ryker, considering his son's stubborn nature and rebellious streak. Ryker is stubborn and rebellious, as previously stated, and often goes against his parents' advice, and that of his friends, simply because he can, and to get a reaction out of people. It can be both amusing and frustrating, to know that some people are afraid of him - afraid that he'll snap and hurt someone. He's not violent, nor is he cruel hearted; he doesn't know where his life is going, and he's lost in the whirlwind that comes with being a teen. Impulsive and stubborn are not the greatest of combinations. Ryker also struggles with the death of his younger brother, who drowned when they were both little and had been playing in a nearby river. He's never forgiven himself, and deep down he believes that his brother's death was his fault, that he failed to save him, and he feels as though his father blames him.

Skylar Gibbs At 5'5" tall, Skylar is a young woman of rather average height. She's not exactly the conventionally attractive type, but is definitely not ugly at all; she has pale skin, with a splash of pale freckles across her nose and cheeks, which go well with her fiery ginger hair. She has very pale blue eyes, a very stark contrast to the rest of her. She has a lean figure, with a well defined shape; she doesn't exactly have bulging muscles, but is quite a bit stronger than she looks. The daughter of two American federal agents, Skylar has a stubborn streak a mile long. The stereotypical image of the strong, independent woman, she prefers to do things herself and is rather proud. She's got a short fuse and a flammable temper at the end of it, though her tendency toward self-reliance tends to lead her to bottle up her anger until she reaches her breaking point-- in short, she'll file away all your wrongdoings and bring them all up at once. She can be a bit of a troublemaker, and is selfless in her caring for her friends and family, often sacrificing her own well-being so that her loved ones have what they need. She's kind to those who are kind to her, and usually indifferent to those who aren't.

he's hot right? Lol Anyway, how do you want to start it out? Just normal and then work up to the argument after a little while?

|
|
Post by Salted Squid on Mar 3, 2017 22:16:47 GMT -5
He really is tbh cx he's definitely Young Skylar's type too
We can, if you'd like! but when we get closer to the argument we're definitely going to have to do some brainstorming cx))

I just want to start out slow for now lol because he's a brand new oc

Post by Deleted on Mar 3, 2017 22:18:27 GMT -5
but yeah, we'll brainstorm plenty

Post by Salted Squid on Mar 3, 2017 22:21:05 GMT -5
That works for me, then! Tbh I'll probably have Skylar being really nitpicky about a bunch of little things he does because she's salty like that, and then when we get to the argument her explosion will be so much more amazing))

Tbh you should be afraid of Angry Skylar. I love writing scenes when she's full of angst because she gets so bitter and just flings all of her pent up bitterness at her target and I'm already feeling sorry for Thomas xD

Post by Deleted on Mar 3, 2017 22:27:15 GMT -5
I love how we're feeling bad for Thomas and then in the end he ends up hurting her so bad she has to go to the hospital. But he hasn't done anything yet so I suppose it's fine then XD
And I was thinking of making Thomas a foreign exchange student from germany

Well I mean. Young Skylar's pretty much a spoiled brat. Maybe she needs this to change lmao
There's like this huge gap in her story between her childhood and her adult life and maybe this'll be a way that I can sort of flesh out that time period a bit. idk
Also that sounds really great! I'm in love with that idea))
