Morgan smiled at, what he would assume was, a friendly gesture. He returned it with small wave as she left. He was starting to remember Eukal and time he had met her. It was still fussy. Perhaps it was right after he had arrived in his universe. The months after his arrival were a blur and he could barely pick out individual memories. The man sighed and resisted the urge to touch his neck. He turned his head to look at Oliver when he spoke. Morgan pointed in the general direction that Eukal had gone off. He assumed Oliver was going to go over there or wander off to the other plant people. It didn't matter much to Morgan at this moment. He had his eye on the food. Morgan made a beeline for the food line, which was short now that lunch had already started not a half an hour ago. He smiled seeing the line move quickly as well.

Oliver followed after Morgan, not having much intent on sitting with one specific group of people. He stopped to grab a tray to hold the few items he was planning on taking with him "Well good thing I didn't lose her, that would probably not be all that good for relations if I lost a child in here" He joked, taking only a few seconds to grab the main dish before heading over to a separate area for drinks. He only took another second to grab a couple glasses of water, to place on on tray he had. "I'm assuming your going to sit with the ones you just came back with?" He questioned, not really knowing what Morgan did during the lunch hours.

Morgan was a bit surprised to hear Oliver following after him. He smiled at the man's joke, but continued to load up his tray. Not to be rude, but he was hungry and knew what was the best. He wouldn't let the others take all of the good stuff. He followed Oliver to the drinks and grabbed a local drink. It was suppose to strength the body and be very rejuvenating. Though, all Morgan cared about was that the drink was good. He turned his attention to Oliver. "No." He said simply. The ones that he had gone with were the locals. There wouldn't be much point in sitting with a group he couldn't talk or listen to. "I'm going to sit off to the side. I usually slip out and head to one of the watch rooms. The ones with the large windows." He admitted with a shrug to hide his nervousness. Hopefully Oliver wasn't one for the rules because eating in the watch rooms was a big no-no.

Oliver shrugged a bit "Seems like a good place to go. Wait, isn't that against the rules?" He already knew the answer to that, even without looking at a rule-book. The watch rooms were originally used to check for any natives trying to get too close to the station while the treaty was still being drafted up by the authorities. Now it was used for surveillance on the wildlife as careless actions by the native creatures could severely damage some equipment that has to be located outside "Whatever, everyone breaks rules every now and again. Which watch room are you talking about anyways?" He normally isn't one for the surveillance, and tends to stay away from those duties, so truthfully, he had no idea what any of them look like.

Morgan mentally cursed at himself until Oliver seemed to accept his rule breaking. He let out a tiny sighed. At least his lunch spot wasn't going to be taken away. "The one to the South is usually unlocked. It's facing the sea and nothing is out there, so no one really watches it anymore." Morgan said. The empty part was true, but the sea was not so empty. He could have sworn to have seen a shadow or two cross the water than disappear as quick as they came. It now fascinated him. He supposed it was the thrill of the unknown, or the fact that he might be seeing things. He almost was glad Oliver trailed along. It would be a perfect time to see if he was insane or if there is something out there. "Let's go," he said after he had sorted his thoughts out and everyone was settled and looking at their plates or people around them.

Oliver was surprised that one of the watch rooms were unused, they seemed like they would all be important in some form or fashion, but given the information that Morgan had, it made sense. At the moment, they were more concerned with fixing the atmosphere around the planet to fit both species, they weren't really worried about an ocean that is seemingly empty. "Interesting, seems like a pretty cool place to eat. Have you almost been caught before?" He assumed that Morgan hadn't actually been caught, he would think they would either lock the watch room or keep a better eye on this 'scoundrel'.

Morgan simply shook his head as he led the way. Once they were a safe distance, he spoke. "Not often. The people who do see me must assume I'm going somewhere else." He shrugged. He hadn't been reported yet and he wasn't too worried about it. He just stayed quiet because he want to make it too obvious and have his spot to be filled up with tons of people. The man held his tray in one hand and used the other to open the door to the watch room. He poked his head inside and did a quick sweep of the room. It was empty. He fully opened the door and walked up to the window. There were no seats, save for the ones behind the expensive machines. Not that Morgan had any objection with the floor. It was carpeted and had a good view of the pink-tinted ocean. He crossed his legs and sat. "I should have warned you. There are no seats." He said, looking back at the other human with a slight smile. He was interested to see how he would act. It wasn't a big deal, but Morgan was interested in the little things.

Oliver followed after Morgan, glancing around to make sure they weren't being followed every few minutes or so. He was quite shocked to see the ocean, he had only seen it through pictures that others have taken, he hadn't expected it to be slowly rolling, unlike the fast motions and rough waves on Earth. "I don't mind no chairs" Honestly, he had gone years in a previous incarnation eating on the ground with his troop. It was never a horrible experience, in fact, he remembered it fondly. He took a spot on the ground, leaning back to an old cabinet which probably held some supplies for the workers here, or it used to. Who would leave perfectly good supplies in an abandoned room? Maybe in case of an emergency?

Morgan let silence slid into the room. He munched on his food happily. The snap as he bit on the crisp apple slices was the only sound that broke the silence. His amber-brown eyes were locked onto the pink ocean and scanned the water. They widened and froze as a shadow crossed the water. "There." He whispered before looking over at his companion. He briefly wondered if he should draw this man's attention to the shadows. Oliver could see him as someone crazy. However, he pushed his worries aside. He needed to know if he was crazy, and obsessing silently didn't sound fun. "Did you see it?" He questioned before clarifying, "There was a shadow that crossed the water."

(I know, I am failing at replying. It is half writer's block and half busy) (On a funny note, while finding out why the ocean is blue, I accidentally typed 'why is the ocean pink' xD)
Oliver had spent the last couple minutes silently eating his food, taking only a couple glances at the ocean when he had to assure to himself that yes-it was pink. That idea made him wonder what caused this in the first place. There had to be something about the ocean that allowed for red to be partially reflected. That was about the extent of his knowledge. One of his glances happened to be when the shadow moved just underneath the surface, far enough down that he wasn't able to get enough detail about the creature "I thought the ocean was empty, even the natives say it is" Mystery number two abound, either the natives were lying, or that creature was good at hiding. More then that, he was curious on what that creature was. "There has to be more, too, at least plant life in the ocean for it to live off of."

That's fine. ^^)
Morgan nodded. So, he wasn't crazy. There was something in the water. "Unless it doesn't live off of plant life. It could be a carnivore." Morgan suggested. His eyes didn't leave the water, as if it could magically give him the answers. The thing had never come up before so Morgan assumed it wasn't eating anything out of the water. That would leave less food options. "Or an omnivore." He said after thinking about it. He gave Oliver a side look when waiting for the man's answer.
(What if they go diving to look for it? Or send a probe. )

Oliver scooted a bit closer to Morgan leaning in a bit "That's why I said at least" Oliver's voice reduced to a whisper, as if the creature could hear them through the glass. He still had about fifty different questions about the creature. What does it look like? What food does it eat? Is it dangerous to the natives or humans? Why does it come so close to the surface? Does it ever breach the surface? If not, why not? Why wasn't it noticed by the guards at the post before it was abandoned? "That sounds like it could be plausible, though. Even with that, if it eats other animals, there has to be some form of plant life down there. There has to be a full ecosystem down there that we haven't found"
(I think a probe would be the smarter choice, I know Oliver would be chill with both, but probably would be one to suggest a probe, either way though)

Morgan sat back from the ocean. Now that he knew something and more might be hiding in the dark water, he was a bit unnerved. He didn't like the unknown as much. Sure, the shadow had been interesting, but this was starting to get serious and there was more, according to Oliver. "It sounds like something we should report." He said simply with a slight frown. He wasn't fond of the idea though. The natives should know about this right? They lived near the ocean. Something was off. "Maybe we should ask the natives about the water though." He said while chewing on his lip.

"I wonder if they even know about it" Oliver had no way of knowing how extensive their research on the ocean was. Besides Morgan-and at this point himself-he hadn't met anyone who was interested in this ocean. "We should report it, though. Your eating place will be taken as they more then likely will set up a research slash guard station here to monitor any activity." Now watch as the creature no longer goes remotely close to this area and the pair just look like lunatics. "I can ask the girl when lunch is over, she might know at least folk stories, or she might be able to ask her parents"

Morgan frowned. He would have to escape to his room for peace if this place was taken for a research base. He didn't like it, but it wasn't like he could hide this now. Oliver knew about it and once they started to poke around, the humans of the base would start to get interested. Thus the nature of humans. "I'll report it after lunch while you talk to Eukal." Hopefully, the natives weren't hiding anything. He would hate for there to be tension around the base. He could only hope that he didn't get roped into this as well. If their theories were correct, the large shadow was a beatie who ate things and probably wouldn't mind eating humans. He liked this world and was hoping not to get eaten by something. That scar would be more noticeable than the rest. "Something tells me things are going to get a lot more interesting around here." He said with a sigh.

(Drifting minds seem interesting. I'm not that good with names but 'small group rp thing' seems kind of...eh)
"That sounds like it would work out, here's to hoping we don't get in trouble for sneaking in here, right" Oliver laughed, his eyes darting between the ocean and Morgan through the conversation. He wondered how much Eukal would know about this, or if her parents would know anything. He could ask them before they ran off to their research. "Interesting is good. It makes life exciting, and maybe we will be allowed to go along." He hadn't had a lot of chances to go outside lately, the other botanists in the facility had taken it upon themselves to go out, leaving him to work with the natives inside the facility.

Morgan shrugged. He wasn't too worried about getting in trouble. As long as he phrased his report correctly, he could slip out of trouble. Something along the lines of 'I was just passing be when...' seemed like it would work. He has had plenty of time to practice lying. He couldn't help but to snort at Oliver's statement about interesting. If only the male knew how 'interesting' Morgan's lives had been. "I've had enough interesting for a lifetime." Morgan said but with a smile. He can't deny that his past lives were exciting and a thrill. He had enjoyed them, but he didn't get to live long. The price of interesting was steep. "Though it would be fascinating to come along. Maybe they will let us go as animal and plant experts." He grinned to himself at the idea. All the dark thoughts about the dangers wer replaced with thoughts of adventure.

Oliver grinned "I can see that" He could see Morgan as someone who would go out and find something to do rather then let things happen to him. He enjoyed going out and finding his own adventure, but he did find it interesting to see what the current universe was going to throw at him on it's own. "It would be interesting" He mused, honestly not to worried if he died while trying to explore the ocean. Not like it really ended for him, he just would have to start over, which despite the first year or so, it wasn't that bad to go through. The only annoying part was getting past being the 'weird one' and getting to be somewhat a normal entity in the world. "I wonder when they would have to first exposition"

"They will probably send a probe in the ocean first and then send people." Morgan said before sipping his drink. Honestly, he had mixed thoughts about the expedition. He wanted to know what was under the waters, but again, being eating wouldn't be pleasant. Though he couldn't help but to wonder what scar that would leave. "I assume they will send a probe in quickly. If they find nothing dangerous or interesting, they might not have any further exploration." Disappointment slipped into his voice at the thought. Okay, maybe he was a bit excited to see what the ocean held.

"That would be a bummer" Oliver frowned, if they had found no need to research farther at the moment, it could be years before they decide to explore the ocean. He could be long dead by that time, wondering for years what exactly lies beyond the surface, praying that he would eventually come back to this universe to find out the truth. "I hope they find something interesting, then. It would be disappointing to not find out what all is down there" He had forgotten about the food he was so excited for earlier, having set the tray down beside him when it became a nuisance for him to hold it while trying to peer out the window for a glimpse at another creature.

Morgan nodded in agreement. He had long since finished his food, always eating when looking at the water or when Oliver was talking. He did not mess around with food anymore. He pushed his tray out of his way so he wouldn't accidently hit it or something related. "Watch the creature just turn out to be a rotten log that happens to pop up because of water currents or something." He grinned at his own idea. "We are going to have a Nessie on our hands." He looked over at Oliver with a large grin and playful light in his eyes. "They are never going to listen to us again." It would be just his luck right?

Oliver laughed leaning his head against the glass "Oh man, how old is that reference at this point?" He asked, though hoping that they weren't part of that grouping "Wasn't that like the 1930's or something?" That was quite a lot time ago, what year was it? Weren't they past the 23rd century at this point? That sounded right.

(No problem. Hope you have a good meeting. ^^ )
Morgan shrugged and looked at his clay-covered boots, but he wore a proud grin. There was something about making people laugh that made Morgan happy, as odd as that sounded. Maybe it was just the fact that he was already grinning and happiness was infectious. "I dun'no. I was never much into all that history and dates." He said, now leaning against the wall. He relaxed into the wall and sighed. His smile disappeared into a neutral expression as he looked to the pink sea. It hit him that he was old at this point. He was born hundreds of years ago. It was weird to think about. Not upsetting, but weird. He almost wondered if one day he would wake up and see an old man in the mirror. He gave a side-glance to the other man. Oilver couldn't be over 25 and that was pushing it. Technically, he was the man's senior as he was coming up on 100 years of age. That was another strange thought. All of these dates and ages. Morgan rubbed his face. He had to stop thinking about this and wake up. Only when he was tired and full of food did he start to think about things that didn't really matter. He had to move. "Okay, I'm going to go report this." He said before picking up his trey.

(If only Morgan knew xD I think with all of oliver's ages he is 114(Not factoring in the 15 years on these last 4))
Oliver waved his hand a bit "It's just something I learned about when I was younger, the other children were all about Nessie and one of them even learned everything there was to know about her" Nessie was quite the popular one back then, people claiming they had seen her again, others desperately trying to prove her existence only to end up with no leads and nothing to show for years of work. "Regardless, as you are going to report, I am going to check to see if Eukal is back in the cultivation room. Good luck on reporting this" Oliver pulled himself up from the ground, leaning down to grab the tray with the almost full plate on it. He was going to regret not paying attention to eating more later on, he could already tell.

Morgan nodded, already formulating a good report. "See you around." The man said, wanting to say something of a good-bye. He made his exit first. Hopefully, the higher-ups will still be full from lunch and happy that something new was found. He always dreaded talking to them since he never had a good grasp with authority and how to act around them. He was glad this was a research base and not a full military base.
(Do you want to skip to when they are sending the probe into the water? or maybe when they are deciding if they should? If you have another idea, that's fine too. )
