Ok so the basic idea is that one day our characters find out that when they die, they get tossed into another universe at the exact age they died. It happens again and they go back to the age where the died in the first place. so basically Character A- died at the age of 14 Character A then gets transported to a random universe and dies at the age of 30 Character A then gets transported to another random universe at the age of 14 and dies at the age of 19 The process continues This could be a normal earth universe but in the past/future, or it could be a fantasy world where dragons are flying around. It could be some sci-fi world with space battles or domestic life in the modern era. There could be major changes to the world like the planet is mostly water with a little bit of land or minor changes where the straw was never invented. The characters! - They change in appearance, their hair, height, everything can change but their eyes-the eyes are a doorway into the soul. They are almost always human.
- They keep the scars of how they died in their past lives, examples below with characters. If the scar would kill them in the new universe, it won't show up. IE: A scar on the heart wouldn't appear as they can lead to heart failure, but a scar on a lung could stay as they could just lead to a few breathing problems, but not death
- Characters have a basic idea about the universe around them. Could be what gestures are considered offensive, basic history facts, but not a ton. They wouldn't have a full understanding how the economy works.
- The characters know the most common language in the current universe. IE: The current universe, the characters know English, but don't know the less common native tongue on the planet they are on currently.
- When making your character, put what age they originally died as, your character will never be younger then that.
Current life: Sci-fi colonization where the characters are part of the research to make a planet inhabitable for humans. The natives there are cooperative as the human technology is farther advanced then their own. They work together to make the world livable for both species while teaching and learning from the natives. Most common language is English-basic human speak, the native's language is a secondary language they would have to learn. The natives according to Oliver: "they are fairly humanoid, though a bit shorter then a regular human. I would say they resembled a mix between a bird, a human and..something. They have very flat faces, what seems to be no ears, something that seems like feathers but soft like hair on their bodies, and their hands are very small with one longer finger and two shorter fingers. Every single one of them also has a very short tail and their feet which resemble claws and tough to withstand the prickly ground outside, which they used most of the time to grab things from the ground. Needless to say, they are very different then the humans on the station. The language they speak is strange, but I am learning slowly but surely." Stuff that has happened: - Morgan and Oliver spent lunch in an abandoned watch post that looks over a seemingly empty and pink ocean. The shadow that appears under the water every now and again hints of something else....

Colonization universe
Oliver {20} 15 original death 67 previous death He is shorter in this universe then the previous ones he was a part of, though not by much. He is about average height for a human as human height has grown a lot since the early 2000's. He is rather lean in build as he had many years to build up in the higher gravity planet. His hair is dark brown and cut to a length his is more used to. His eyes are a dark blue. His normal wear is the suit that the settlers wear-a long sleeved and long pants suit, his being green and yellow. He has his helmet for when he travels outside the station and into the wilderness to keep him alive out there. Scar circling around his body-car accident Scar on the back of his head-war injury Scar on the inside of his leg-bled out Tiny scar on his arm-mercy kill
Morgan Ritrolf {19} 16 original death Morgan has medium length, brown hair framing a slightly narrowed face. While is hair does keep out of the way for the most part, he sometimes has to brush it back or hold onto it. He hasn't resorted to hair ties yet. Admittedly, he is a bit sloppy with doing things he can't see. His eyes are an amber-brown and tend to be very intense, but that is because he is trying to see you. He normally forgets his black, rectangle framed glasses everywhere since he only has to use them sometimes and he normally takes them off for reading. His skin is naturally tan and only tanner with the time he spends outside. He is build lean without much fat and only some muscle. Max is also pretty short when compared to the rest of the other people has age. Burn marks on leg-fire Scar on back of neck-stabbed Small scar on lung-Lung Cancer

This sounds cool. ^^ It sounds pretty fun to change universes and all that. But do you have a plot? We might need to think of a universe before we do that though, just so the two can fit. also, question. Do people remember what happened in the other universes?

(that is what my thought was, there wouldn't be a 'lets fight a war' plot in a universe where world peace was achieved. I would say yes because I think it could create some conversations like 'Well I died like this one time' or just taking random things about places)

lol Unless they mess up badly and accidentally start a war. xP But yeah, in all seriousness, that makes sense. What universe are you most interested in or have an idea for? )) Also, are we planning to stay stationary in one universe most of the time, or is there a way for people to stick together as they die and get transported? ))

(I am not sure which universe, there are some random ideas tossed up at the top, but those are vague. What do you want to rp is basically what I am asking
That might be a plot point, them trying to figure out how to stick together at the next death. Again, if we can't think of a reasonable way, we can just do a time skip to a time where they are together once again)

Well, the si-fi sounds interesting because I haven't rp one of those in a while, but a fantasy rp is pretty safe and exciting. If you want to do a rp set in the past, I'm going to be a little sloppy since I don't know too much about other time periods. ^^' I know I'm really indecisive, but all of these sound good. ))

Let's do some si-fi then. There is a lot we can do with that. On that note, do you already have a plot in mind or should we create one? ))

(I was waiting for a universe to be thought up. Should we do a 'space travel shinanagins' sci-fi or 'humans chilling with aliens on *insert place here*? Or it could be part of a group trying to colonize a new planet where they have to start making the planet livable)

I like the idea of colonizing. It sounds simple enough for people to jump in(if by small group you meant more than two people), but pretty fun because they could find weird things/animals. We can even throw in some native aliens if we want to mix it up. )

(True, it could also be a problem trying to figure out a way to make it livable for both species. Maybe there is already a treaty in place between the two of them where the natives are in need of something that the humans have and the humans are in need of...well a place to live. maybe the thing could be food or general technology they haven't advanced yet.)

Maybe the natives are teaching the humans how to live there and in exchange, the humans promise to protect them from other less friendly visitors or share technology/resources from other plants? )

(That sounds good. I like that better then the normal 'we hate each other and are on the brink of war because we can't take a hint and we could just go to another planet where the surroundings are a bit more friendly' Anything else we need to discuss?)

He has a couple of burn marks on his legs, a scar on the back of his neck, and a small scar over his left lung. If you wish to know, he died in a fire, then was stabbed in the neck, and then died of lung cancer.

Yeah, that would be interesting. Maybe there is some prejudice against these types of people? Like some people just believe they are crazy about the whole different universes. I dunno. It's just a reason to be hiding it and may add some drama to the plot. )

Oliver spent a lot of days working inside the cultivation room along side one of the natives, they were fairly humanoid, though a bit shorter then a regular human. He would say they resembled a mix between a bird, a human and..something. They had very flat faces, what seems to be no ears, something that seemed like feathers but soft like hair on their bodies, and their hands were very small with one longer finger and two shorter fingers. Every single one of them also had a very short tail and their feet which resemble claws and tough to withstand the prickly ground outside, which they used most of the time to grab things from the ground. Needless to say, they were very different then the humans on the station. The one he was working with now was a younger one, shorter then the rest and currently trying to learn about how humans cultivate their food on a station. Of course the food wouldn't last that long outside this station, so regardless on if they learn or not, these foods wouldn't be able to be grown outside. The young alien's black hair-feathers were very short and you could almost see the translucent skin below. She looked so intrigued by the crops, her white eyes not leaving the platform where they were set. Oliver himself was working on a couple tests to make sure they were growing just fine, he had a few other duties around the station, but mostly he worked along side another human-a quiet 40 year old-to make sure the crops were just fine and teaching the natives about them.

Like our characters had originally told people and then slowly realized that no one was going to believe their crazy stories so they just stopped talking about it) (so basically?)

Morgan rubbed the back of his neck. The smooth scar tissue remained from his previous life. It gave him comfort in...well, all the time now. Whenever he felt troubled, he would rub his neck. However, he didn't like other stuff or people touching his neck though. Any tight clothing or people touching was a big no-no for the male. It made him a bit jumpy. He felt calmer and more comfortable now that they were in the human station. He was tasked with cataloging the various animals and edible plants outside. Surprise, surprise, barely anything was edible or safe in the waste land. In fact, he had almost had his hand bitten off by a horse-spider-lizard thing. He didn't catch the name, because he was too busy trying to get out of the way so the natives could scare it off. But he knew the humans were counting on this plant. Most others weren't remotely livable or the natives didn't want to share. He sighed as he started to walk back to his bunk. His navy blue pants and black boots were now covered with clay-like mud. He wanted to clean up before heading to lunch, though most of his comrades would understand if he showed up messy. Sadly, he made a habit of this. He removed his hand from his neck and waved at one of the natives. At least, it looked like one of the natives. He had misplaced his glasses again. Then he caught sight of two fellow humans, or so he hoped. He moved closer to them. Yup, humans. He couldn't quite remember their names, even though they were on the tip of his tongue. "Hey," He called to get their attention. He added a little wave to make up for not calling them by name. He continued, "Umm, lunch is soon if you guys are hungry."

(I am assuming you are talking to oliver and native child)
Oliver turned from his work, seeing one of his comrades he and a few others knew as 'clay-man'. He did know the man's actual name "Really? Lost track of time" He replied, logging off of the system he was on to let the machine take over the work of caring for the plant life. He turned to the native, slowly saying a sentence, going through it word by word to make sure he wasn't saying it wrong. He was basically telling her it was lunch time, and she replied quickly with a thankfully short reply of 'ok'-ever so slightly muffled by the mask she wore as the air wasn't that suitable for her. "You've met her, right? It is hard to keep track of who's seen her before." The girl spoke another sentence quickly and Oliver had to tell her to slow down a bit. "She says she has, so never mind. Lunch, then" He started to walk away out of the greenery to head to the chow hall. "Do you know what is for lunch? Doubt you do as you still have clay all over your boots"

Yeah. ) The 'clay-man'. x3 Look at the legacy that you made Morgan. You're A+ )
Morgan silently cursed at himself. That was a native, not another human. God, he hoped his vision wasn't getting worse, or was worse in this universe. Can that happen? His eyes didn't seem to change but maybe that just applied to his eyes color. He felt dread flicker in his stomach at the thought of loosing his sight. He dragged his mind away from the troubling thoughts and focused on the conversation. The other human actually seemed to know the native's language, which made sense. Whoever this was must have trained to go on this mission. Morgan woke up on the ship to this journey. He knew how to catalogue notes, a little on self defense, and make a rough map. He couldn't hold a conversation to save his life. It made him feel a bit like a cheater. The man blinked when he was addressed, and hurried to turn and catch up to the other male. "Yes, the clay." He then realized what that sounded like. "We will not be eating the clay. We are eating the..." He sounded out the words carefully as he pronounced one of the local foods. He may not know conversational words, but he knew the names of plants and animals. They were having one of the large fruits that looked like dragon fruit. It had a hard shell but very healthy flesh. "I think it is served with some kind of brown sauce. I never figured out what it was made of." Nothing was really brown. At least, nothing that he was shown.

The native girl-who I am just going to call Eukal-let out a small sound, turning to Morgan as she spoke quickly about how much she loved that dish. Oliver had to tell her that he probably wasn't that good with the language, as he really didn't catch all of what she said. "Sorry about that, I think I caught the fact she likes that dish" Oliver laughed a bit when he mentioned the sauce "I don't know either, it's something and it's good" He went quiet after that, letting the girl attempt to communicate with Morgan, trying to explain what the sauce was-using rather complicated words that Oliver was surprised she knew. His mind wondered over to how he was going to die next. He had quite and array of deaths already, more then he would have dreamed of being fifteen and just trying to get through school. He laughed at the idea that if he told his younger self that he would be living on a space station, knowing a whole new language, and living on a distant planet, his younger self would probably be awestruck. Aaand probably not recognize him as he was vastly different this time around-his first self having really blonde hair for starters.

Morgan nodded slowly. He frowned as the other man didn't yield any information on the sauce. He was a bit disappointed at the lack of information. At least they agreed it was good, whatever it was. He blinked as the girl, Eukal he remembered now, tried to explain the sauce. It was a long and quite interesting process. Honestly, he didn't get how all those things came together and made a brown color, but he had accepted weird things now. This wasn't earth anymore, not that he missed the place. Dying a couple times can do that to you. He gave Eukal a grateful smile and said thank you in her language. He hoped it was thank you. It would be embarrassing if he managed to offend the person who just went through all the trouble to explain something in a foreign language. As they neared the entrance to the mess hall, he noticed his comrade was drifting off. He decided to try to snap the man out of it, not wanting the other male to run into a wall, not that Morgan had ever done such a thing...twice. "Hey. We are nearing the mess hall." he said, trying not to say anything that might pry into the man's thoughts. Which was common curtesy, he would want the same.

Eukal used her three fingers to make a makeshift thumbs up at Morgan-which was her longer finger pointing straight up with her hand at an awkward angle and her smaller fingers tucked away. The moment they reached the mess hall, she ran on ahead to her parents on their own break, chatting with a couple of the researchers about what the had found. Oliver stopped when he heard Morgan speak to him, starting his walk again as he saw that they were just nearing the mess hall "I see" Oliver replied, though he would admit he was lost in thought for a moment and pretty much missed the entire journey to said mess hall. "Where did Eukal go?" He asked, glancing into the mess hall to try to locate the girl. She probably just went to one of the other natives who was working in this facility, as communication would be much easier in that group.
