Kai easily caught the helmet, and put it on. It was a good thing he'd ridden motobikes before, or else he'd probably be no less than nervous. He still was, ever so slightly, but not so much that it hindered his getting on. Switching the button so they'd be able to talk, he nodded before climbing on and holding onto Manse, saying "Okay", smile growing slightly as he explained where they'd be going. After, he managed his own little smile as the bike awoke with a loud purr. Kai tightened his grip in the slightest when the bike moved forward with that satisfying roar, carrying them to the restaurant Manse had in mind. Kainder just couldn't seem to keep his excitement in the back of his mind today.

Manse eventually pulled up outside of the restaurant, a little sad to have Kai no longer holding onto him. He removed his helmet and smoothed down his hair a little, locking up the bike and stepping down. He helped Kai off with a charming smile. 'Alright then; let's go get some food.' He grinned, leading the way inside, telling a waitress their booked table- they sat down, and Manse picked up the menu, examining the food. As always, he was in a meaty mood, and wondered wether he felt like just having another steak.

BloodroseOnce he was off and settled, smiling slightly at Manse helping him off, Kai was ready to head inside. Following the other man into the restaurant, his nose twitched at the sudden rush of smells, all the food scents coming to greet them. After they were seated, he picked up his menu, and looked over the offered options. As he looked over the section of seafood, he asked almost shyly "So... erm... how was your day?" it was nice to ask how the other was doing, right? Kai wanted to ask what manse thought of his book, but decided to wait a little longer, even though he was curious to hear of what Manse thought so far. His lonely blue orb briefly looked up from the menu to rest on Manse, his smile growing a little more. It had been a long while since he'd smiled so much around someone, especially someone he met just yesterday.

'But infinitely better now I've got somebody to talk to.' He examined the menu and decided- whatever- he'd have another steak. 'Yep, I'm still in a meat mood.' He laughed. 'I'm going for Fillet- what about you?' He asked, reaching into his bag to pull out Kai's book and slide it across the table, smiling widely. 'I loved every page.'

Bloodrose"That's good, because I can also say you're one of my day's highlights," Kainder admitted, blushing slightly. Going back to his menu, he decided "Steak yesterday, salmon today. I saw someone else being served it as we walked to our table, and it looked good." He was brought to look away from his menu again when Manse slid his draft across the table. Kai's smile became noticeably more bright as Manse said he enjoyed it, and the blonde said "I'm glad you did. Usually people hand it back to me with a weird look or while flat out asking why I'm weird enough to write it."

Manse blushed deeply at the compliment and nodded as he said he would have salmon; then shook his head. 'No, it's great, honestly! The characters are individually lovely and the story itself is progressed wonderfully. I'd just slow it down in some parts.' He said, grinning. 'My heart was racing so much, for so long last night I thought I might have a heart attack!'

Bloodrose"I know I might've gotten a little carried away," Kai admitted with a slightly embarrassed smile "But that's what happens when you write a story that's meant for yourself mainly. And if you liked this one, just wait until I get the chance to give you my other stories." If only there were more like Manse out there, who enjoyed even just the draft. Closing his menu, having decided on what he wanted already, he said as he set it down "I'm close to wrapping the book up, real close. I can have the rest for you in a couple of days?"

'That sounds great.' Manse grinned, already looking forward to it. He beckoned a waiter over and ordered their meals, then watched him leave. 'He moves too slowly.' He observed; 'not exactly bad service, but if he moved quicker he could have had those tables cleared by now.'

Bloodrose"Maybe he's tired?" Kai suggested softly "Or distracted?" He watched the waiter move about, blue eye holding a curious look. Kai rubbed his covered wound briefly to subdue an itch, adding "I just hope he isn't that waiter that takes forever to get us our order." Not that that would be bad. It did mean more time to spend with Manse, even if it would be with a hungry stomach.

He said, flashing the male a wolfish grin. 'Have you had a busy day then? How was your work? Did you sell much?' He asked, wanting to know everything as he leaned on his hands with an intent gaze.

Bloodrose"I don't think I could be a waiter," Kai decided "I'm much too shy to talk to so many people in one day." When Manse asked him questions, he spoke "My day went well enough, not too busy, and I sold a good amount. Juliet, my cat, managed to hide some of my ingredients though, so I was late an a few orders. Overall, everything went fine. Nothing too exciting, obviously." Smiling a little, he added "I admit, I wanted the day to go by quickly, so I'd get to see you again sooner. Couldn't wait to hear your opinion on my story." Did he realize he was being so open with his thoughts? Not too much. When he did talk to others, he usually spoke what was on his mind. Those others were usually friends though, close friends. Kai already looked Manse though, so that was more or less reason enough, right?

Kai already looked Manse though, so that was more or less reason enough, right? ((Yknow, I'm actually a waitress? I'm shy as hell and have social anxiety, but the fact that I'm constantly on the move/focused on cleaning tables/taking out food actually takes your mind off the talking part)) Manse s n i g g e r e d as Kai mentioned his cat, listening with bright eyes and an interested expression. He blushed again as he said he couldn't wait to see him. 'Yeah... I've been looking forwards to the date all day.' He said, running a hand through his hair and now not looking at him, looking ever so slightly shy. When their food arrived- Manse had ordered his steak rare- he sighed with relief and poured them both a glass of red wine, raising it. 'To your book.' He said, winking.

Bloodrose (I have a friend who had a problem with speaking as a waiter x3 But he got used to it as he held the job :3) (Sorry for not replying quickly, btw. I'm too busy watching Kitchen Nightmares and playing Wizard101 x3) Kai noticed how Manse acted a little shy, and his blushing, and couldn't keep his own smile away for too long. It made him happy to see that he made someone like this, and it felt as equally good that someone made Kai feel so happy. Looking as their food came, he mentally purred at the sight of his food. Kai would need to thank Manse for bringing him. He managed a quiet thanks as Manse poured him some wine, and raised his glass. Kainder held up his own, echoing "To my book."

((Omg sorry I can't believe I forgot to reply!!!!)) Manse smiled widely as the glasses clinked and he sipped the wine, resisting the urge to smack his lips at the bitter taste. He'd never really liked red wine, but he would drink it with this meal just- for appearances sakes, really. He cut into his steak, watching with satisfaction as it bled slightly onto the plate. Perfect. He slipped a sliver past his lips and sighed with pleasure, before looking back up at Kai. 'How's your food?' He prompted, smiling warmly.

Bloodrose (It's okay X3) Kai took a sip of his own glass, smiling a little at the taste. It was common for him to drink... heavier substances, in bulk, so the bitter wine didn't really have a taste to affect him at this point. After, he turned to take a few bites of his salmon, almost purring at the taste of the delicious fish, looking at Manse asked how it was. Taking a moment to swallow, he then answered "It's great, especially since I haven't had salmon in a while. This place makes it good." But what did Kai know? Half of his diet was Hot Pockets and salads. Point being, he didn't get around to eat much anymore. His job and hobby kept him in his house mostly, and his brow bent at the thought. The blonde, noticing the slightly bleeding steak, proceeded to ask in turn "And what about your food? You seem to like it a good deal."

'It is beautifully done.' Manse agreed, smiling widely. 'Nothing like a good rare-steak.' He ate another bite, comfortable to sit in amiable silence for a while as they each enjoyed their meals, Manse wondering what he was going to do next; would he take Kai back home once they'd eaten? Should he offer to take him out for a drink? Go back to Manse' place again? He felt himself get a little nervous as he realised he hadn't planned this far ahead.

BloodroseKai looked over at Manse, seeing he'd grown just a tiny bit nervous. Frowning a little, Kai found himself asking "Is something wrong, Manse?" He sure hoped it didn't have anything to do with him. Even though they'd gone into quiet, he still enjoyed it. Enjoyed being around Manse again. Kai briefly wondered what the other could be thinking about. Perhaps he could help, if Manse so wished to tell him. As he thought it all over, he noticed he was still looking at the other man before him, and Kai managed a tiny smile.

Also don't feel weird about sharing stuff I love watching videos)) Manse looked up as Kai spoke, and smiled at him reassuringly. 'Yeah, I'm fine.' He hesitated, then chuckled, knowing what he was about to say would sound silly to the other male. 'I was just worried about what to do when we've finished eating.' He admitted, grinning up at him. 'I didn't know if you'd want to go straight home, or go for a drink, or fall back to my place...' he ran a hand through his hair, a nervous habit.

BloodroseKai felt a little better when Manse said he was fine. He listened as Manse continued to talk. So that's what had been on his mind? The blonde smiled, saying "I could go for a drink. It would be a shame to end our little meet so early, hm?" It really would. Kai didn't want to say goodbye for the day just yet. Watching Manse run a hand through his hair, Kai realized he was staring at the other man. Embarrassed, he looked away, continuing "I don't have to be home for anything. I made sure my cat had food, and no access to anything of major importance. Plus I have no orders to fill for the time being."

'Thanks for coming out today, by the way.' He added, glancing up at Kai slightly through his eyelashes.

I'm so sorry)) Manse smiled and finished eating, then stretched his arms above his head, bones cracking slightly as he did. He looked around the restaurant, a weird feeling in his gut that something was a little off, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Shaking his head he looked back at Kai. 'I know a good pub we could head to if you'd like.' He said, patiently waiting for the other male to finish eating. He glanced out of the window and could have sworn he saw a shadow standing in the alleyway, but when he blinked, it was gone. A shiver ran up his spine.

Bloodrose"Sounds good," Kainder spoke at Manse's suggestion. Eventually, he too finished eating, and called the waiter over to collect their finished setting. Briefly, he looked over at Manse as the waiter came over. The other man looked uneasy. However, Kai found himself remaining quiet on the subject. He did look where Manse had been looking, but saw nothing. Maybe he'd seen someone he knew? Kainder sighed softly, being pulled from the thought when the check was brought over to them.

Manse took the check before Kai did and pulled out his wallet, swiftly tugging out the required amount, plus extra for the waiter, and tucking it under the check on a plate, before smiling warmly at Kainder. 'I'll get the first round of drinks.' He promised, standing and holding his hand out to the author, stomach fluttering a little at his own action; he wasn't entirely confident that Kai would take his offer, and felt a little anxious that he'd be rejected. Manse had an unfortunate history of being rejected-not by humans- and so was nervous whenever it came to romantic pursuits.
