{{ all good Remi (your new name :3) and an update for all since I forgot to put it in at the start - if you want your charrie to be a part of any particular club such as dueling, charms, potions etc etc just let me know and I'll add it to the list for ya'! }}
starters for anyone from each of my charries:
James knew there was no way he was getting his charms homework done, so instead, he had decided to shut his books early, on the pretence of heading back to the Gryffindor common room from the library. He had since abandoned his books in the halls of the castle and was eagerly following Slinky across a courtyard. His pet rat had been squirming in his robe pocket for most of the day and James had finally decided to let the little guy run free for a little. When Slinky had taken off at a dead run, James had struggled to keep an eye on him through the crowds. But now, in this less busy area, he could relax a little, the chance of his pet being stepped on lessening. James loved a chance to wander the castle, and this sure was a good one. The amount of times this boy had let Slinky loose just to find new places to explore whilst following him was too many to count. And as well, it provided the perfect reason for not getting any of his work done. I mean who could blame him for not doing his assignment when he'd had to go looking for his escape artist rat?
Kayleigh sat at the library, her books opened in front of her. She had defence against the dark arts homework due yesterday and she still hadn't started. Desperately looking around for a distraction, she silently prayed that her brother would come running in, begging her to check out his latest project or explain this bit of homework to him, but alas, to no avail, her praying didn't work and the library remained as quiet as ever. Resigning herself to her fate, she put her head down and tried to focus.
Walking along the edge of the lake, Evalina smiled in quiet contentment her toad, Frank, bouncing along happily through the grass. She'd finished her classes for they day, but had decided that it was too nice of a day to spend inside, so instead, she'd dropped her bags and come to the lake, ready to enjoy her next adventure.
Kayden was working his way through the crowd, when, suddenly, he tripped over his own robes and stumbled out of the halls, into one of the courtyards. Looking around, he was surprised to see a girl standing there. She seemed upset. "Hey...it's Kaeleigh right? I'm Kayden. My sister's name is Kayleigh you know." he said with a smile, his natural, kind attitude breaking out. "It's nice to meet you," he stuck out his hand for her to shake it, but within a split second was pulling it back and talking again. "Hey, so I was just walking and stumbled across this courtyard, but uh, I noticed you seem pretty upset, and well, what I guess I'm trying to say is, are you okay?" it was probably the most long winded way to ask such a simple question, but that was Kayden for you. (( hello all! :3 )) Kaeleigh Armour -- 4th year Kaeleigh blinked at the obviously very talkative hufflepuff boy in front of her. She recalled him from a few of their classes, but honestly socialising had never exactly been Kaeleigh's strength. Sure she was nice enough to everyone but she never really made any solid friends. Kaeleigh went to shake Kayden's hand but he withdrew it so quickly she was left there for an awkward moment her hand still extended before dropping it slowly to her side, "Oh um yes" she responded to his question with a quick glance over her shoulder at the busy hall which she had just emerged from "it's just- you know crowds..".

"Hey, I said I was sorry already." James said, immediately defensive, but then his attitude dropped, "I am actually sorry though, I was a bit busy following after this little guy." He said, taking Slinky from her and depositing the squirming thing into his pocket. "Not too fond of rats, hey?" James asked, amused to have seen the girl directly talk to his pet. It was not often that that would happen, in fact James had often thought he was the only person to do this on a regular basis. "Oh my names, James," he said, offering his hand for the girl to shake. "Well it's Jamison technically, but I prefer James. Your AdriΓ‘n, right?" He continued. James prided himself on knowing a lot of people at the school and had made it his mission to help people fit in and feel accepted. However with his rather shy and oblivious personality, that was generally a bit of a challenge. However, this time with this small (in his eyes tiny) fourth year hufflepuff, before him, he thought he could make a difference.

{{ hey Remi! }}
Kayden nodded slowly, as if he, in his 14 year old age, knew the answer to everything and could relate to this girls problem. In a way he could, as he too often had to travel through the crowded halls, however, Kayden more thrived off of the life of the situation, instead of being hindered by it. "Yes, it does get very busy, but it seems to be clearing up now," he said, and indeed, in the halls, there were less students, not by many, but a few. "I was about to go see my sister, Kayleigh, she's probably in the library. Would you like to come Kaeleigh?" He asked, then giggled softly at the use of the two names which were the same.

AdriΓ‘n's face pinched at hearing her own name, honestly surprised he had found out about her. It's not that hard to figure out though, she's exceptionally talented in Defense Against the Dark Arts, and may have had one too many outbursts with professors and students alike. Quietly, the girl breathed through her nose and remembered Vivienne's insistence that she be polite, no matter how angry she was. "Yes, it's AdriΓ‘n Cosme.. sorry I got upset, uh.. James." She inwardly cringed at her own awkwardness, especially at her mild hesitation when it came to shaking his hand, and immediately hid her hands in her robes right after.

Kaeleigh Armour -- 4th year
Kaeleigh blinked at the boy as he rambled about how he understood the constant feeling of people pressing in on you and suffocating you. Somehow she couldn't quite believe he did, he seemed far too...lively? To even understand a shred of that compressing feeling. But at least he was nice. "Sure" Kaeleigh agreed to the offer with a small smile. Not that the library was anything particularly exciting but Kayden seemed nice enough, albeit maybe a little childish but at least he was someone to talk too. "Your sister Kayleigh is she older? What house is she in?" Kaeleigh asked feeling it was probably best to know something about this other student prior to meeting her.

Jingle Bones - Skylar Gibbs 15/fifth - Gryffindor Skylar is a young woman of slightly short stature, standing at a height of 5'5" tall-- short, but not dramatically so. She isn't overly muscular, but has the physical shape of someone who isn't exactly weak, and carries the air of someone who isn't going to look for a fight, yet isn't afraid to kick you straight into next week if provoked. She has a fiery look about her, too, with her fiery ginger hair, which she usually keeps pulled back in a ponytail. She has pale blue eyes that sometimes look almost silvery in the right kind of light, and are very expressive; they can go from cold, menacing, and intimidating to warm and welcoming or anywhere in between, depending on her mood. - Skylar is the stereotype of a Gryffindor-- stubborn, rebellious, and often reckless. She has a tendency to ignore those in authority, especially when given a direct order-- if she's told not to do something, she can't help but do that thing. She practically lives by one of her father's favorite life rules-- "It is better to seek forgiveness than to ask permission." In the event that she does ask for permission first, she'll most likely do whatever she wants anyway, regardless of the answer she gets. She is not, however, the kind of person who just goes around breaking rules whenever she can. Skylar is actually rather quiet and thoughtful most of the time. While she doesn't have many friends, she tries to be kind to most people, though that often gets difficult due to her fiery temper. She knows how to play rough, and she can be however tough she needs to be in any situation; she knows her way around both a wand and a muggle gun. She's not antagonistic, but won't hesitate to punch a guy in the face if she sees them picking on someone, and is surprisingly protective of the younger kids, mainly first years. maple, unicorn hair, 9" and swishy - bear - a silver cat named Saladin Her mother and father are both Muggles - none - Can she be Seeker?

"Oh that's perfectly fine," James said, smiling at Adrian. "Now, I should probably get this little guy back to the common room before he escapes again," he said, putting his hand into his robe pocket to retrieve the rat. "Oh no!" James suddenly whispered, dread filling his face as his hand when straight through the pocket of his robes. A rather large hole was now in his pocket and Slinky was gone. Sure, James let him wander the castle, but he always had his eye on the fast moving rodent. This time however, Slinky was no where in sight, and James had no idea how long he'd been gone. "I can't believe it! Smart little thing chewing a hole in my robe pocket." He began frantically searching around, calling out Slinky's name, as if the pet rat would come running back like a dog.
"This way then," Kayden said, leading the way back into the halls and towards the library. "Kayleigh's in 6th year and she's in Slytherin," Kayden replied proudly to Kaeleighs' question. His face suddenly fell however, as he turned towards the girl with the same name as his sister, "She's not evil though! Everyone seems to think that, but she's actually really nice!" He tried to assure his new friend. Yes, to this youngster, Kaeleigh was already considered a friend, when he barely knew her last name. "She always helps me with my homework, although, she is a little antisocial sometimes, but all well, she'll be glad to meet my new friend, that's for sure!" Kayden said excitedly, practically skipping down the hall. When this kid did something, he did it with a full heart and 100% passion, that was for sure.

AdriΓ‘n glanced over at James and sighed loudly, wandering down the hall before calling for one of Allen's owls, who swooped down in almost no time at all. Dough, the small albino barn owl, had taken quite a liking to AdriΓ‘n, opting to stick by her side even in daylight when he could,"There you are you dumb bird, you should be asleep," She scratched his neck before glancing down the hallways again,"Go find James's rat, and don't eat it." Somehow it understood, and joined their search. "I really hope he doesn't eat it." AdriΓ‘n muttered before reluctantly joining James in search for the rat.

Silver stretched in the big comfy armchair which was her favourite in the Gryffindor common room. She had some time to kill before she had to head to lesson, and was playing with her cat, Merlin; using her wand to levitate a feather around in the air for him to pounce at.

Sure thing!))
Skylar came down the stairs from the girls' dormitories quietly, a thoughtful look on her face. She had a habit of doing that; she moved around with about the same amount of noise as the Hogwarts ghosts. She had a book tucked under her arm-- The Standard Book of Spells, Grade Five. Crossing the common room, she took her favourite seat next to the fire, curling her feet up by her side, and Saladin jumped up on her lap, eyeing Merlin with distaste. Skylar stroked his ears softly, giving Silver a smile and nod of greeting, though she chose not to speak.

(( Night Blood! Sorry for the poof I was filling out at joining form )) This boy was the embodiment of the stereotypical Hufflepuff Kaeleigh realised as she followed him to the library sucking in a deep breath every time that passed anything too crowded for her liking. He was cheerful, talkative and had instantly taken on the position of her new friend even though they had really just met! It was quite outstanding really how they could both be in the same house and yet one find it so easy to make friends while she struggled so much. Kaeleigh nodded as Kayden informed her about his sister noting how down he got at the idea of Slytherins being considered evil. He kind of reminded her of a puppy dog. Cheerful, bouncy, loyal...He could almost be a labrador. As they entered the library Kaeleigh glanced around of Kayden's big sister, "can you see her?" She whispered to him glancing at the librarian who was already scowling in their direction. Part of Kaeleigh felt like poking her tongue out at her, honestly they hadn't even done anything yet!

"Oh thanks so much for helping!" James said as Adrian began to help him look. "Yeah, I have a feeling that we should find Slinky before your owl to be honest." He said, eyeing the white creature as it flew away. "You know, you don't have to help, I do really appreciate it, but I'm sure you've got better things to do," Always the nice guy, James gave Adrian the chance to leave the situation, but part of him hoped she'd stay. He liked meeting new people, especially ones from the younger grades he normally wouldn't converse with.

"I'm not doing it for you, last time someone's rat got loose they tore up my essay for Charms class," AdriΓ‘n huffed, desperately trying to hide her warming face behind a curtain of curls; she didn't want to admit it, but she really liked being of service to others, and deep down she really just wanted to make more friends. Not that she needed them, no not at all. She could handle herself just fine, she fought her dad and one other Death Eater (at least a former member, she wasn't sure, but they were evil and still clung to awful archaic beliefs) before the start of the semester, she didn't need anyone at all. If Vivienne could hear her thoughts, she'd smack her with her heaviest textbook for being so dumb and angry.

"Oh yeah, there she is!" Kayden said, probably a little too loud, but oblivious to the librarian as he hurried over to his sister. He hesitated for a split second as he saw her scribbling furiously on a piece of parchment, multiple textbooks lying around her, but then shrugged and tapped on her shoulder anyway. "Hey sis!" he said, smiling widely as he waited for her to turn around and meet his new friend.
Kayleigh could hear her brother coming from the moment he stepped foot inside the library door and began writing faster, determined to finish this sentence before he came running over. To her slight disappointment she'd only written another two words before he was tapping on her shoulder. Holding up on slim finger, in a signal to wait, she completed the sentence and then turned to face Kayden. "Hey little bro'," she greeted, wondering if he needed help with something so that she could finally have an excuse to stop doing her work. "Who's your friend there?" she asked, gesturing at Kaeleigh, unfamiliar with the new hufflepuff friend her brother had obviously made.

"Oh," James replied, his smile fading slightly, "of course." he continued to search for Slinky in silence for a moment, then, suddenly feeling awkward, spoke again. "Rats can be a bit of a handful," he said, gesturing as if to say that the situation they were in now was a common one, which, to be honest, was. James wasn't always the brightest and he had often lost Slinky in this sort of situation, but he'd always managed to find the little guy. "Oh, maybe he's over here." James said, heading towards the curtains that Slinky had tried to dive under when he'd first met Adrian. Pulling them back, he gave a little noise of happiness as he did, indeed, find Slinky hiding there. "Thanks for helping to look for him," he said, holding Slinky firmly in his hands.

AdriΓ‘n nodded, adjusting her robes and sliding her wand in to her other pocket, a nervous habit she had picked up as she got older,"I... you're welcome," Noticeably struggling to find the words, she ducked her head down before glancing up again, feeling genuinely sorry for making the older Gryffindor student upset,"Sorry, I didn't really mean what I.. what I said. I was trying to help, I'm very bad at.. talking. I think." The younger wrung her hands together, trying not to cringe at her own words again. Attempting to make friends was something she was not very good at apparently.

"I'd rather be following Slinky here around the castle than talking to people for the most part," he admitted, "but you've got to push yourself and get out of your comfort zone, it's the only way to make friends." he added. "You helping me just now was already a big step for you, it doesn't matter if you're not that great at talking, in my first year I think I said all of three words the time I was here." James was telling the truth and was now determined to help Adrian. He was suddenly feeling a sense of responsibility, as if he had to repay her for her help in finding Slinky.

Then she stopped short, glancing down at her shoes,"I don't really know though, my life path doesn't seem so clear anymore, hopefully the world is merciful and gives me a chance if I figure it out when it's "too late"." She gestured and tried a small smile, but still looked rather troubled. I wish I knew, I can't really choose anymore, I was sure when I was younger that I'd be like my cousin, as silly as it sounds.
