Lillian didn't bother to look at Mitsuo when he walked over, but instead fired another arrow. "Thankyou. I've had a lot of practice and it comes rather naturally. Not to mention, I've got the help of my demon." She said and listened as Mitsuo continued to talk about his friend. "Why doesn't she just switch to a different weapon? If she's not good at it, then it's really just a waste of time. By the way, Elwrin's the leader of our group and if you think you would be a better leader, talk to him about it. Anyway, we had a little conversation earlier and one of the questions was: What's your life goal. Mine is revenge, you?" She asked, drawing another arrow into her bow. She let it go and watched as it sliced through the air and met with the tree that already had multiple holes in it. Where the arrow hit combusted into an explosion of sorts in a flurry of clans that soon died out, leaving the charred tree smoldering.

Mitsuo shrugged. "She has another weapon she uses more often, but still keeps the bow around as a backup... and because it's hereditary. It's hard to explain," he said with a laugh. At Lillian's comment about the group leader he glanced over to Elwrin and nodded, not feeling the need to challenge what had already been established. At her question he put a hand to his chin and thought for a moment. "My goal? Ruling the world sounds pretty nice, doesn't it?" he said, clearly joking even though the situation really didn't call for it. "In all seriousness, protecting souls and humans from hollows is my goal I guess," he said with a shrug. In truth, there was a larger goal of his under that one, but it was something he very rarely talked about - and certainly wouldn't share with a group he had just met. "And to protect my family and Soul Society... ugh, that sounds so cheesy."

"I'm sure there are people in JIDA who actually plan on ruling the world." Lillian said, voice laced with humor, though she wasn't lying about being sure it was someone's goal. "I think it's good you have something you want to protect. It's better than not having a goal at all." Lillian pointed out, letting her bow deteriorate into the air.

(Just gonna make logondi a... Savage!)
I find that I believe you, Logondi decided. But you must understand that, to me, Elwrin's well being is my highest priority. If he were to die, it would be as if a part of my own mind were destroyed, and in most aspects, that would be accurate. Elwrin and I are one mind as much as we are two, if not more so, therefore, any threat imposed on him will unto be imposed on me as well.

Mituso nodded. "Yeah, it gives me the motivation to train and fight and all that," he said. He glanced at the sword by his side and shifted its position a bit before looking back at Lillian. "So, did you two have any kind of plan before we came and interrupted?" he asked, adjusting his glasses. He looked around the area quickly, giving away that despite how he looked he was actually paying attention to their surroundings.
Of course, I completely understand... I think, Nerade thought, her expression turned serious as she nodded. I feel the same way about my comrades in arms back home. I may not have a mental link with them and all that, but I've been training with most of them since I was a young girl and would stop at nothing to keep them safe.

(it's all good!)
I'm glad you understand. Logondi said after a moment. Now, have you any questions? I'm sure you are curious about something, and as I've learned from my time with the Varden along with my link with Elwrin, humans tend to be rather inquisitive.

"Motivation is key. And not really, we were scavenging for fresh foods that wouldn't pool easily when Warnick came upon us and it seems the night is almost over, though we've had sufficient rest. Elwrin wanted to train and gather before we headed to the city, so I might bring up heading there again." Lillian informed Mitsuo and noted him shifting his sword.

Here I am!]]
Nerade narrowed her eyes as she formed a question in her head, looking like she was in deep concentration (which is rare for her). What is it like, being a dragon? I've always been curious about it since I was quite small. My family always called chuckled at my interest, since dragons where I live are nothing like you.
As if on cue, Mituso's stomach growled at the mention of food. "I hate to ask (not really) after only just showing up, but would you guys happen to have anything extra I could munch on?" he asked, scratching the back of his head. "I feel like I haven't eaten anything in forever... hehe..."

That is a tough question. Logondi's deep voice sounded. Of all the questions I've been asked, that is one of the most rare I've come across, not to mention the hardest to answer. I've never been anything but a dragon, so in my perspective, normal. It is much more difficult to answer from a human perspective, even with my bond with Elwrin. We dragons are a proud race, we fear no mortal and tend to care little about the matters of others, though empathies from our riders will, in a way, spillover, making us empathetic as well. Wild dragons often hunt flocks and occasionally people as well. I do not hunt humans, but after a battle I may eat one or two, just to tide me over until my next hunt. the real issue is that armor is tougher to chew through and slices my mouth, so unless they are unarmored, I usually do not eat them. They do taste fine, though.

Lillian sighed and looked around, spotting her backpack for far from Elwrin and Nerade. And walked over and rummaged through it, pulling out one of the three pomegranates. She picked out her hand knife as well and walked back over. Piercing the hard skin, she drew the base along the side and cracked it the rest of the way open in two fairly even halves. She handed one to Mitsuo. "It's fine, here. I'll give the other half to Nerade once she's done with Logondi." She said, pushing the blade back down into its handle.

Oh, I see, thank you for that wonderful insight. Really, I mean it, and sorry to ask a tough question. It was the first thing to pop into my mind, Nerade thought. So humans taste good, what do you know? You learn something new everyday. "Oh!" I just thought of another question, if that's alright. What is it like to fly?
Mitsuo's face lit up and he took the pomegranate from Lillian. "Thanks!" he exclaimed. He started eating it, making a rather interesting face as he did so. He'd never had a pomegranate before, and in fact had no idea what it was when it was handed to him, but he wasn't about to admit that. He decided it was quite tasty, and would have to get more of these things when he returned to Soul Society.
Gonna be poofy >_<]]

Out of the many, many experiences I have, flying is my favorite. Logondi replied. The cool rush of air flowing against my scales, the intense speeds at which I can move, it is simply breathtaking. Even after all the times I've flown, it is still one of my favorite things to do.

(It's fine, I've got to go to bed now, sorry)
Lillian watched as Mitsuo ate the fruit and she leaned against a tree. "So, you're handling being here pretty well. Are you use to adapting to new environments a lot?" She asked; it would make sense given his rather calm composure.

No worries!]]
Nerade chuckled, shaking her head slowly. You are making me ever so jealous right now, dragon, she thought with a bitter smile. The closest I can get to flying is horseback riding. My horse may be one of the fastest in the land, but it is just not the same. I've always envied the creatures of the air, I wish I could see Middle Earth from their point of view.
Mitsuo put his eating on pause to answer Lillian. "Well, I live in one world, regularly work in another, and have been sent to a third world a couple times even. So I would say my answer to that question is yes." He then plopped himself down on a nearby rock and looked back at Lillian. "I like to think of being here as a field trip I might never return from," he added, his voice rather upbeat in that last statement despite how depressing it could be taken.

Perhaps you could. Logondi said thoughtfully. Though you may not be from alagaesia, I wonder if it's possible for Elwrin to teach you how to enter another's mind. As long as he teaches you how to be discrete about it, you could possibly see your world from a bird's perspective.

"I see. I guess it's better since you have a lever head, important for when we run into trouble, though you already know that." Lillian said, half to herself, not really caring if she got a reply or not. Lillian glanced over to where Nerade and Elwrin were, what was so interesting about conversing with a dragon? She didn't really get it.

Sorry I wasn't on yesterday! I didn't get home from class until late at night, and then I kinda fell asleep after that xD]]
Is that so? That would be incredible, but does it require the person to have magic power? Us Children of Men have none to speak of, save for a very select few, and I'm afraid I am not one of them, Nerade thought, frowning slightly. Though if it is possible, I would absolutely love to try it.
Mitsuo nodded, taking the last of the pomegranate seeds and popping them into his mouth. "Yeah, when you lose your head in a fight it usually doesn't end well for ya," he murmured, leaning back to watch the sky. He slipped his hands behind his head and laid on his back. As if one couldn't tell, he felt rather relaxed despite the situation. Just as a precaution he closed his eyes and reached his senses out as far as he could. Nope, nothing lurking in the forest around them. Well, no humans or spirits at least, he wasn't sure how vampires would register to his senses. He'd never met one before.

Though it is difficult for one who knows nothing of magic aside from a new rider to use their mind in such a way, I think it may be possible. Logondi deduced. It is through said abilities that I am able to communicate with you, so it must, at least theoretically, be possible.

Hey!]]
Nerade tapped her chin thoughtfully. I see. Well, I suppose it is worth a try then right? She glanced at Elwrin before 'speaking' to Logondi again. She was getting visibly excited again at the thought be being able to see through a bird's eyes. Not only would she be able to see what it's like to fly, but it might also be a useful tool for patrolling her borders.

If you would find it useful, then consult Elwrin. The dragon paused for a moment, then said, I must go. We are under attack. goodbye. If all goes smoothly, perhaps I will speak to you again. With that, Logondi severed the link between him and Nerade, though not to Elwrin. Elwrin, the Rebels are attacking Teirm. Hopefully the city will hold its reputation of never falling, but I fear not. We are outnumbered and outmatched and most of our men are wounded. I-I am needed elsewhere. I will not lose our connection, but if something is to happen to me... He trailed off. I will not hesitate to block you out. Good luck and farewell, Elwrin. I hope for the best, but in all honesty I do not expect to survive this battle.
Logondi... Elwrin murmured sorrowfully. Be safe. Sé mor'ranr ono finna atra ono waíse sköliro, Logondi Bjartskular.

I understand, may you see a swift victory, Nerade thought before the link was severed. She looked over to Elwrin, concern spreading over her face when she noticed how sorrowful he looked. "Will your friend be alright?" she murmured, taking a few steps closer to the dragon rider.

"I do not know." Elwrin replied gloomily. "For now, I can only hope that we will be able to escape this retched place so I may return to my world. I fear that we may lose ground in the days to come, but I remain hopeful that I will return soon."

Lillian nodded her head at Mitsuo's comment and looked over to see Nerade and Elwrin had finished their mind whatever. She walked over and held out the other half of pomegranate to Nerade. "Eat," then she turned her head to Elwrin, ignoring his sorrowful look. "We should head toward the city. Maybe we could find clues on what happened to the people here, that might be linked to why we were brought here." She spoke, her comment less of a suggestion then it was a command. "If we stay out here, we won't be any closer to leaving this place. All that's out here is forest and Warnick." Lillian pointed out.

"Don't forget about the vampire." Elwrin mused. "Anyways, I agree. We need to get out of this forest and find a suitable place to rest. I'd sugge-" He was cut off by an immense pain. He dropped heavily to the ground with a groan. His hands were clenched into fists and severe pain was visible in his facial expressions. The pain seemed to decrease as adrenaline coursed through his body. After a moment he unsteadily tried to rise to his feet, but failed and stumbled back into an awkward crouch. The entire time, he heard a roar of pain from Logondi. Spontaneously, the pain stopped completely. Elwrin's eyes brimmed with tears as he realised what had happened. "No... He murmured. "Oh, gods above, no..."

Lillian acted fast and grabbed Elwrin by his shoulders, steadying him as,together, they got into a sitting position, Lillian making sure he didn't fall. "Elwrin, are you alright? What's happened?" She asked worriedly. Her head snapped to the side as an arrogant voice entered the air accompanied by the vampire noble from earlier. "I didn't think you would be in the forest. I suppose taking a walk through the forest proved useful after all." He had a smug look as his eyes landed on Elwrin who seemed to be in a weakened state. That's what you meant when you said my senses were dulled. It... was him. Rage filled her eyes and she let go of Elwrin and quickly popped a curse-enhancement pill in her mouth. "I suppose I'll have a snack." Then, Shawn was crouched behind Elwrin, a hand planted on his shoulder, teeth extended. "You. It. Was. You." She said, her voice starting out weak, but hatred engulfed it by her second word. "You killed him!" She screamed. "Azurine!" Her bow appeared in her hands and she shot an arrow at the side of his head, but he grabbed it the the bird-like arrow disintegrated. "Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. You better be careful or you'll hi-" His voice broke off as she darted at him with her bow now in its twin-blade form. Tattoo-like markings striped her face a few seconds after the pill kicked in and with both, she felt herself get stronger. "That's right, Lillian. Loose yourself in your rage. It was him. It was him who killed Aucx." Azurine spoke in her ear, though she was the only one who could hear it.
