Nope. False alarm. The girl sighed heavily, her body relaxing, straightening her posture from the previous one of defense. Her hand fell from her jacket, and she looked almost dissapointed with the meager display in front of her. This was certainly not what she had been expecting. With a quiet little "hurrumph," she turned back towards the first stranger. Brows knit together, she pursed her lips in momentary thought. "Maybe just... Find someplace to stay for the night, yeah?" With AJ's appearance, her thoughts were drawn back to the task at hand. With a quick, cautionary glance at the surroundings, she flashed the girl a last, weak smile before turning to head, once more, into the dimly lit darkness of the streets.

Lief pushed a lock of leaf green hair behind her pointed ear, resting her cheek on a tan skinned hand and slowly blinking gold shining eyes dulled by boredom. Her baggy clothes drooped along her figure while she read the spell book and with a twirl of her finger and a mumbled enchantment she lifted the cup of tea to her lips. She wrapped her fingers around the warm cup, sipping between practicing the way magic words trickle past her lips. A yawn distracted her and she looked at her lazy reflection in the tea, her curls flattened slightly from running in the rain on her way to the cafe she rested at now. The witch pinched her tattooed cheeks and giggled.

(( @deuce could I have a quick description of Rhydian? ))
"Yeah, I know, like half the street lights aren't even working, and then there's the stuff like this," Vyra replied, waving a hand at the shop's boarded up window. She pushed her hood back and started wringing the water out of her hair. "Have you been here for very long?"

hey guys, sorry I haven't been on today, we went to go see family ^^' @rari sure! hes tall, around 6'1, his hair is black, he looks kinda rough but friendly, and he has one blue eye and one red eye)
That had been a lot quicker than expected. Weather that was good or bad, she wasn't sure. Although, she didn't quite like being alone at the time, feeling like an easier target. She watched the other and nodded slowly, staring after her thoughtfully. After casting a quick, thoughtful glance at AJ, she shrugged then looked back at the one that was walking away. "Actually, would you mind if I tagged along? I wouldn't be any trouble, just looking for company," she said, staying where she was and waiting for an answer, tail flicking.
Rhydian glanced at the window, nodding again. "Yeah, exactly. And yet, theres still people living here," he mumbled curiously, lazily folding his hands over his chest. "Nah, I just got here a few days ago," he said, jumping slightly when lightning crashed overhead. "Oh, whats your name? You don't have to give a real one if you feel like it, just a nickname works, so I don't have to call you 'random stranger'," he said and half smirked half smiled with amusement.

The girl stopped in her tracks, slowly spinning to face the less-stranger. She tried to mask her mildly shocked expression as best she could. "Tag along?" Was that even safe? She was pretty positive that was a terrible idea. But, seeing as this girl looked to be new here, or at the least unfamiliar with the place, maybe she wouldn't be able to find someplace for the night. Then again, what was she supposed to do with her when she was supposed to return? Her family wasn't exactly fond of strangers. All these and a million more thoughts rushed through her mind as she stared blankly at the girl for a second or two. "S-sure." This was going to go so badly. "Why not?"

As soon as she'd said sure, she walked forward to catch up with her, smiling slightly in the dim light. "Thanks," she said. "I'm Shade, by the way," she introduced herself, glancing over her shoulder again briefly. It wasn't that she couldn't handle her own, but there were strength and numbers and if someone was perusing her she knew they wouldn't risk getting caught by someone else. When she turned her head, the light caught the scar tissue on her face, long stretch marks that went up and down her cheeks that started at the corner of her mouth and going down her neck all the way to her collar bone. Her ears perked up towards the other one curiously, then she glanced back at the girl to see what she would say.

Oh, yeah, this was definitely the worst idea she had ever had. Her family was, quite literally, going to eviscerate her. She certainly wasn't blind, had noticed the very obvious ears and tail. That wasn't going to fly in her household. Taking a deep breath, she glanced towards the ground. She could deal with that when the time came. She opened her mouth to speak, interrupted before she had even begun by the other one, the one that had been lurking, asked to come along too. She was inclined to say no, if only for the fact that this one had been hiding. In the shadow. Like nefarious beings did. It wasn't exactly comforting. "Uhh..." She anxiously rubbed her arm before deciding, tentatively. "Fine. Sure." Turning back to this 'Shade.' "I'm Blair." It isn't particularly nice to meet you.

"I'm Ajax," The teen responded, with a small, thin smile. She had been curious as to why these two had been outside in this, like her. Of course, she didn't ask. Asking questions about others led to asking questions about herself, and she didn't exactly want to explain why, exactly, she had been hiding in the shadows. She knew that the truth would probably end up getting her killed- it was bad enough she was an illusionist with hypnotic capabilities- she had a dragon as well. Luna was fairly harmless, she could only generate enough fire to keep herself and AJ warm, and was more defensive than anything, able to spray out a gas to knock people out. It was how most of her heists where successful. In fact, thats what she was doing last night, and why she was hiding. She may have stolen back some precious jewels from some aristocratic (at least in her eyes) family. These jewels where the prized possession of some poor family living in the slums, the only piece of their former life that they had. She had to get those back to them.

Shade dipped her head to Ajax and returned the slight smile, then looked back at Blair. It wasn't hard to pick up that she didn't seem too happy to have more people following along with her, but decided that if she really was sick of them she would just tell them to go away, and that would be that. "I won't get in the way, don't worry," she said, lifting her shoulders in a shrug. Not getting in the way would be too easy, given her particular abilities. Of course, they wouldn't have any idea what those were, but if worse came to worse she could completely disappear from the scene without any trouble. She shifted her stiff jacket further up onto her shoulders and pulled the hood up over her head again, a weak attempt to avoid getting further soaked. It didn't really help at all, but oh well.

"Don't know what you're trying not to get in the way of, how do you know if you're in the way or not?" Blair grumbled under her breath, stuffing her hands back into the pocket in front of her sweatshirt. Setting off again down the street, this time towards her family home, she momentarily shut her eyes, evening her breath. Alright Rosamund, She thought to herself, hopefully in a motivational manner. Just find something. Kill it. Bring it back. Hide them. Easy peasy, lemon squeazy. She tugged at the hems of her sleeves. One could notice odd habits of hers such as these, or the way she peered around every corner before rounding them, or subtly flinching at every flickering light. They had been walking for about five minutes, Blair silent the entire time, before she could spot the faint glow of her home through the mistiness of the rain. She spun around to face the two, wagging a finger in their faces as though she were chastising two children. "You two. Need to stay here. Do. Not. Move. Got it?"

Shade shrugged again. 'well, you seem like you've got something you're tryin' to do. If you are, then well, I wont get in the way," she said. After that she welcomed the silence as they walked, listening to the rain and enjoying the smell. The only things she liked about rain, really. When she spun around and started waving her finger at them she raised an eyebrow at her and stopped abruptly. She glanced back at Ajax briefly as she spoke, then looked ahead at Blair again.

"No!" Blair's eyes widened, and she shot a worried glance over her shoulder towards the building in the distance. "God no, please, do not do that." I'm already going to have to explain too many things. Don't add another to the list. "You can talk, or whatever. Just don't move from this area. And be quiet-ish." Then she offered two thumbs up, a grin, before jogging down a street around the corner. Another five minutes passed, an agonizing, otherworldly screech in the distance, before the curious girl returned. She looked a little winded, most likely from running wherever he had she gone to, and returning. "Okay. Come on." She gestured for them to follow her. "Oh and-" she waved her had hands over her head, approximately where the animal-like ears of Shade would have been, had she had them. "Hide those...things."

Shade was a bit amused by how tense she seemed, but also mildly guilty for being an inconvenience. She watched her go and tensed when she heard a screech, finding it alarmingly frightening next to the rain. Her eyebrows lifted when she told her to hide her ears and tail and nodded, shifting to the most human appearance she could conjure up. Anything feline about her was gone, though she couldn't stop her skin from still being gray. "Hows that?"

No, that wouldn't do at all. Blair grimaced for a moment, then waved her hand. "We'll just have to keep the lights real dim." She was marching this one to her death, Blair was almost sure of it. Nonetheless, she turned, nervously fidgeting the entire way to the building. "Welcome to the Rosamund Family Mansion," Blair introduced the area grimly. Large, wrought iron gates loomed over the three, rattling as Blair pushed them open. The Family Mansion, as she had put it, looked less like a home and more like a large judicial building. "Let me do the talking, alright? My... family isn't exactly welcoming of random people off the street." Walking up the pristinely white steps to the doors, it was easy to see what looked to be blood dripping down from the bag on her back. Pushing open the doors to the building, Blair ushered her two companions inside before locking it up behind them. Voices echoed from behind close doors on a room out to the right of the foyer. "Oh thank god." She breathed. No explanations today, it seemed. "Rooms are up the stairs, third floor."

Shade huffed and silently cursed her abnormal skin color, wishing she could better hide it. Oh well, no point in dwelling too much on it. She tilted her head up, looking at the iron gates with curiosity and past them, seeing the large building beyond. "Damn," she mumbled, actually quite impressed. Not only because of the building itself, but also because it was still here and seemed to be in one piece. She grunted quietly when Blair pushed them in and glanced around, only half hearing when she directed them to the rooms upstairs. Her head turned when Ajex spoke to her and she blinked a few times, then nodded and hurried to catch up with her. "Yeah," she said, keeping her voice down.
(thanks guys ^^)

She frowned, noting Shades odd skin color for the first time. Sighing, she walked to her and looped her arm around the other girls, and narrowed her eyes in concentration, carefully constructing an illusion, changing her grey skin to a pale peach tone, something realistic given them being in the rain for so long. "Don't let go, okay?" she whispered, giving her a wink. She got the distinct impression that whoever Blaires family was, they wouldn't like anything abnormal. (No problemo!)

Blair watched as the two ascended the stairs, carefully, she noted. Not that she could blame them. The building practically oozed unwelcomeness. It was her own home and she couldn't remember a time when she had enjoyed that fact. She took a deep breath, turning back around and knocking on the doors to the conference room before stepping inside. Without actually having the two accompany her in, she could easily explain them away two nobodies who had simply wandered into town at the wrong time. Her family liked their facade of being kind saviors, they would love that she had brought them here. It was much easier to assure her family of their normalcy when they weren't around.

At first she tensed up, eyes narrowing as she stared at her in confusion for a moment, a bit startled from the abrupt close contact. Shade watched her for a moment, then glanced down at her hands and lifted her eyebrows, very surprised. "Woah... okay," she mumbled quietly back, walking with her up the stairs to the third floor.

She offered the girl a thin smile, her face turning a little pale. When she had to cast illusions on other people, it drained her quite frankly. And it hurt. She could feel a sharp pin needle like pain in her left temple, but she kept the illusion as they walked up the stair case. "First door?" She asked, her voice a little high pitched as they walked. (Aw I'm sorry )

Blair walked out of that room as if she had just seen a ghost. Yeah, unsettling conversation to say the least. But at least it was done, capoot, over with! She took the steps up by two, eager to settle in her guests, if only so they wouldn't go wandering around and get caught. At the top of the steps, standing behind the two, tilting her head a bit. "First door is fine," she chirped, sounding possibly relaxed for the first time since she'd met the two. She pushed past them, opening the door and gesturing to the room inside. It was easily big enough for two, although there was only one bed. There was, however, also a series of couches in a small living space past the bed. "Welcome to your home sweet home. For the night, I mean."

(( Oh cool, thx ^^ ))
"Probably not very many, especially if the weather's like this all the time." Vyra jumped at the sudden loud sound of the thunder and glanced up at the awning, looking a bit worried. The rain didn't bother her too much, but she would prefer to stay out of it as long as possible. "Hopefully that thing doesn't collapse... Oh sorry, I forgot! I'm Vyra," she replied quickly.
