(Yeah. They’re good people but like I just learned that I cannot share a living space with people that are practically strangers)
“A little, but you know how they are,” she said with a chuckle. It hasn’t been anything that she couldn’t handle, but she sure had missed Mason a little extra when it was time to put the twins to bed. She didn’t have a problem with mason leaving her alone with them, but they certainly were never Ángels when bed time came.

(Yeah... I definitely don’t like it but I gotta make it through the rest of the semester and then hopefully find a nice little studio or one bedroom somewhere that allows pets)
Riley shook her head. “Mason, I’d love help with the twins, but don’t feel guilty about this. You’re hurting and you deserved a night to go out with my brother,” she promised. She wasn’t upset that Mason had left her alone to care for them. There were nights that he had to manage them on his own. She just wanted him to be happy. To feel better about this if he could.

(Thanks. I really hope so. I want a cat and 0 roommates)
“I know...” Riley said with a sigh. But that didn’t mean mason should push down whatever was bothering him simply to take care of the house and make sure she didn’t overexert herself. At his question, she smiled a bit. “We’re both fine,” she promised. She was still a little shaken up after what had happened with Amelia, but she knew that was because of some injury that had gone unnoticed after the accident. She just sighed and gave Mason the best smile she could muster. “We’re all going to be okay,” she promised. They were building up a small family much quicker than expected, but she knew they’d be okay.

(I just don’t like living without an animal. And a dog would be too much work in an apartment. My parents agreed to discussing a cat if I find a place that allowed it)
Riley smiles again, just slightly, at his words. “I will,” she promised. She moved closer to him, having missed the feeling of his arms around her. She stayed quiet in the darkness, listening to the sound of his breathing and trying to convince herself that they would all be okay.

OOC:Text (I'm so sorry I took so long! Oh yeah I get that. I mean working two jobs mustn't be easy, but at least it's less hours at the job you don't like… Why don't you quit that one?)
(Yeah exactly right. I do, my whole family for one. ^^ I'm excited to go, there'll be plenty of opportunities.)
Maverick chuckled in response, before nodding slowly. “I certainly can't disagree with that, these silly little conversations keep us from going boring,” he said, dragging out the last word and making a face as he said it. Honestly it was much the same for him. Yeah of course there are the times to be serious as to be expected, but when they had their own time it was sometimes just fun to talk rubbish.
.-=-.-=-.
“Celia, no one's going to attack us, we're safe here,” he assured her softly, taking a deep breath as he looked around for a moment. He then sighed. “The day we met, I was on the way home from this place, no one comes here, I promise you,” he whispered. It wasn't always empty, but it was really uncommon for anyone to actually go there. People seemed to avoid it for some reason. “And like I said. You're too tired to defend yourself anyway, you need sleep, whether you'll admit it or not.”
.-=-.-=-.
(It's all good I found it! ^^)
(Exactly, and even if they stayed for like most of their lives in an extreme case, they still would have been gone a week max.)
Rico paced around his room for a few minutes, thinking. He couldn't tell if he was getting dizzy because he was walking in circles, or because he was wracking his brain trying to remember what the quickest way was to get to Phallon through his secret little passageways. It was admittedly probably the former though that was why he was dizzy,
Suddenly the boy jumped as a squeak sounded from the corner of the room. “Rico! There you are!” Of course, Rico nearly immediately recognised the slight English accented voice of Nira calling him. “I've been trying to find you! What are you going to do now?” She asked, her voice soft as she took a step forward, holding her hands in front of her. Rico looked over at her with a frown. “I-I need to get to Phallon first, I just don't quite…remember the way.” Nira perked up a little bit then, blinking. “I can show you the way, I know. Follow me,” She said, making her way over to the corner of the room, peeling off a couple floorboards, with the help of Rico of course.
It wasn't long before the two made it to Phallon’s room. Rico walked forward, slowly lifting the floorboards with a creak, peeking through. “Phallon!” he whispered into the room.

(Cool! Okay then!)

(Hmmm, next day? Maybe to a different interaction with his parents?)
(You are fine, Cloud! I know you've got a lot going on at the moment, so don't apologize.)
Tori smiled and finished off the last chip of her meal. There were still plenty of nachos, but she had eaten all she could hold for one sitting. So, with her belly fully, she leaned her head against his shoulder to wait for Mav to finish eating as well. And I wouldn't have it any other way, she told him.
~*
Possibly the reason why people avoided it was because it was unsafe. Celia couldn't think of any other reason why no one would be around it. Had he been in her right mind, she could come up with other, more logical reasons, but that didn't serve her argument, now did it? The girl glanced up at Lach, having to mentally adjust to the closeness. She had never seen his face this close, and the old familiar urge to distance herself washed over her. Thankfully, the struggle of pushing it away was lost within the struggle of everything else. "A-are you sure?" she muttered, even though he had literally told her a thousand times they were safe. It just wasn't like her to simply drop her guard at the words of others. She had to be sure, needed to be sure.
~*
(Yeah, I think that would work out much better. Then if that's the case, when Lach returned to Earth, it was probably not long after he had attacked the men when the two of them fled the first time. Maybe like an hour or so.)
Phallon had been taking things a little better than Rico. Since they were deposited into their rooms, she had been exploring the new change in scenery. What was it going to harm? It was her room now anyway, so why shouldn't she search it. Not to mention there was little else for the girl to do. It was a very nice change from the cell they were kept in earlier. It wasn't the most lavish she would imagine, but the space was large, and the furniture was a lot fancier than she had ever seen. Maybe it was just the way they were made or the details carved into the wood. Either way, they looked expensive and fit for some old country manor if nothing else. There ere plush rugs scattered about, possibly to help keep the chill from the stone floors at bay, and a fireplace set into the wall near the sitting area. It wasn't lit at the moment, so the air was on the cooler side.
On both far end walls stood tall windows, overlooking the gardens. She had to admit, as dreary a place as everyone made the castle out to be, the gardens were beautiful. From her vantage point, she could see nearly all the paths that crossed around the grounds, forming patterns in the beds that she couldn't make out when walking them. Now she could see that there was indeed a pattern, but she wasn't quiet sure what to call it. She was sitting by one of these windows, eyes following the paths, when she heard a creaking coming from inside the room. Glancing over, she had just spotted the pair of yellow eyes peeking out from under the raised floorboards when he whispered her name. It startled her a bit. "Rico! What are you doing?" she asked. This was certainly not what she had been expecting to see.
~*
"I wouldn't call her a pet, per say," Celia replied. "A couple months ago, I found a bird that was injured. I brought her back and nursed her back to health. I tried to release her, but she's still hanging around. She's a companion, but I wouldn't say she's a pet. We both just kind of occupy the same space. I feed and shelter her, and she lets me know if there's any change around the tree house."

"Sounds like the fuel pump," Matt muttered. "That or the crank sensor. Both of which will need the car to be brought into a shop to fix. I can have a tow truck out here in the morning and bring it to the shop I work, see if I can't fix the problem. But for right now, it's not going anywhere." With the problem diagnosed, the man closed the hood and turned to the girl. "I'd be more than willing to drive you home or to a motel once I drop Dallas here off. Or do you have someone who can come pick you up?"
~*
"It's for the very reason that I have not tried before that I know I am bad. I have never had a chance to prove my skills, nor have I the chance to work upon and improve them. That, my dear, is why I know I'm bad," Charles defended, giving a playful smirk for his reasoning. "No!" Alexa instantly replied afraid for a second not wanting to go home. She tried smoothing it over acting like nothing had happened with that by saying, "I mean I can stay at a motel." But she didn't have the money for that. Sure she had some money but not enough for a motel. Most of it probably would have to go to the car and she would have to get a job as quickly as possible. "How much is this going to cost?" She asked worriedly. --- "Still, you don't know until you try. And you'll have plenty of time to improve them on other days you visit," Amelia countered smiling thinking she had a great comeback.

(Thanks. You would think with as many cats that we've had run over in the past, it wouldn't affect me. But this was the one that my brother brought home from the fire department, and I had gotten really attached to him. :/ )
(Thanks, Drizzle.)
Matthias noticed the way she quickly shut down the idea of them taking her home, but he didn't question her on it. Right now, they needed to get going. "I won't know for sure until I know the problem, but you're looking somewhere between a hundred and three hundred dollars," he told her. "We can talk about all this later. Right now, we should get going. Go get your dog and anything else you'll need out of the car. Dallas, go get in the truck."
"Aye, aye," Dallas said, knowing better than to do anything else. He was starting to get dizzy anyway. SO a chance to sit down was welcomed.
~*
Charles chuckled even though his chest tightened with guilt. He wouldn't have time to practice, not after today. Amelia might not even want to teach him if she knew he he had to stop seeing her. "I would love nothing more," he told her, truly meaning those words. Painting in a meadow was much better than laboring over piles of paperwork that was waiting for him back at his office.

Maybe that she could handle but too much more and she wouldn't. A car was something she couldn't go without at the moment. If she had the option she would sleep in her car but she also didn't want to be more suspicious then she already was. "Okay, thank you," Alexa answered and hurriedly grabbed a bag that had all the essentials she would need for a night or two. Hopefully that would do. She then opened her passenger side door, quickly put a leash on Rocky, and then he came tumbling out barking. "Sorry," she said, "he's not usually like this."
---
Amelia grinned, happy he was agreeing with her on that. "Well, come on! We're almost there anyways." They were just arriving at the gate to go to the meadow while she was holding many of the things they needed.
(Of course! It's horrible to lose pets.)

"It's fine, he doesn't bother us," Matthias told her. Any other time, he might have dried to soothe the dog. However, right now, they just needed to get going. "We don't live far, so you'll be able to let him roam about for a bit. Until then, follow me." And with that, he led the way over to his truck. Once there, he opened the back door for the girl, waiting to help if the dog refused to jump inside the strange vehicle.
~*
The way to the meadow was one he could travel without thinking about now. How many times had the two walked this way for one reason or another? The thoughts always brought a smile to his face. He hated to think this might be the last time he would see the field again.
(That it is. But I'm doing better.)

"Thank you," Alexa answered and quickly followed Matthias to the car. She tugged Rocky along though it wasn't that hard considering he wanted to sniff the new people. However, when they got to the truck it was a bit more difficult. "Up Rocky," she finally said sternly after trying to gently coax him up. He did pay attention to her then and jumped in the truck with no problem. She then climbed on in and sat her bag at her feet. It was probably foolish of her climb into a truck with a complete stranger but she didn't have many options.
---
There seemed to be a cloud of worry over Casper and Amelia didn't like that very much so she had been trying to be more cheerful than usual. She didn't want him to worry, not on a day like today. They finally made it to the gate and waited to be let out.
(That's great! I hope you stay like that!)
