Sorry I haven't been active at all the past two days. I was busier than usual on Wednesday and didn't have much drive after getting home, and while I wanted to rp yesterday some bad news really killed my mood for pretty much anything. I should be able to be more active again though and get some posts up. Maybe this evening (it's almost 10Pm here) and definitely on the weekend!

German, actually ^^ And thanks. Hopefully next week will be better. Sure, work is stressful during this time of the year and I have late-shift next week but that also means I have more time in the morning. And can stay up a bit later. Can't guarantee I won't be too tired after work but like I said, I can get stuff done in the morning. Sure, neither my job nor the forums will fully distract me from the stuff I heard yesterday (not getting into details but I'm really worried about a family member) but I refuse to be completely miserabel about it either

Ooooh, mad respect for learning German! It's definitely not easy from what I've heard from those who try to learn it. Can't really judge it myself since it's my native language but I can see that some things would be difficult to fully grasp for anyone who didn't grow up with it. And I hope you can visit Germany one day! Lots to see here. Though as someone who lives here I have a hard time recommending which places to visit, haha. There are quite a few after all

And thank you! I really hope so too. And it's good to have some things to distract myself with. And on here it's either focusing on the rp, chatting here (whether it's something serious or funny) or discussing stuff in another rp I'm part of. And offline I also find some things to do. Next Friday is something I'm really looking forward to for example. Because that's when the next Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften is. Lots and lots of science stuff to see. There's always bound to be something interesting somewhere in the city that night. Yup, things may be rough right now but this is something I can look forward to

It's always good to enjoy what you're trying to learn. Definitely makes things a bit easier. And good luck, I hope you make good progress! And once you're a bit more experienced maybe you could try reading some books (simple ones for the beginning of course) in German. Or, if that's your thing, play some videogames. If those games allow you to select a language. Probably a book or game you're familiar with so even if you're not quite there yet you at least still know what's going on.
As for places, I'm not really the best judge for it but I think there are some nice sights in München/Munich. We used to go there when I was a kid, we often spent a week there during summer vacation. I think we went to the Englischer Garten a lot, a really nice park. And the museums aren't bad either. There's one called Deutsches Museum. The name doesn't really tell you anything about it but it's a pretty big one and doesn't really have one huge theme. One room is full of mining stuff, another focuses on air planes, another on medicine. Yup, many topics and you won't be able to see everything in one day.
Another place I can think of is Magdeburg. We spent a week there earlier this year and it's also worth a visit. There's a huge park a good drive away from the city center, the Elbauen Park. You need to pay to enter the park but it's definitely worth it. As for the city itself, one place one needs to see is the Magdeburg Cathedral (or Madgeburger Dom as we call it), I just think it's really beautiful

So far there always has been something of interest each time. Many museums have something special, the universities are open to everyone and either show off some cool experiments or have otherwise interesting stuff. And many businesses either also open their doors or have a stall somewhere where you can learn more about what they do. And the best thing is there's really something for every age group. Some places focus on making things interesting for children, others are more geared towards adults and talk about things in more detail. All in all it's just a really fun and fascinating event. So yeah, this is definitely one thing I can focus on for now. Yes, it's still a whole week away but it's a very welcome distraction!

I just remembered that Görlitz is also a pretty town. So that might be another place to consider. Though you'd probably have to choose one because Munich is in Bavaria, Görlitz in Saxony and Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt. But Saxony is bordering Saxony-Anhalt so it's probably not too bad. Bavaria though is pretty far from both. And good idea, it would be a good first book (series) to read in the language. Especially since you've read them so many times.

Hey, friends, this is for everyone:

I have been thinking about it and I think I want to merge all three clans into one. It's hard for me to keep up with all three and it seems that people are only active on one most of the time. Which, I know, people have lives - but it's a lot of upkeep to have to take care of three special pages when there is no activity on them half the time. So, I was figuring to nix Sea and Tree and just have Shell (perhaps under a new name) so that it's best of both worlds - sea and forest.

As far as merging ranks - the least active members would be bumped down from the more important roles (med.cat, deputy) and we could move around apprentices a little. There would probably be two med.cats and an apprentice for each of them *only if I can trust that the second med.cat will be active enough for med.cat things*. But only one deputy - which I would decide between the three that we have now and see who works best. Then everyone else would be warriors and apprentices.

Just let me know what you guys think and we can discuss it and see what a consensus is.

It's not an absolute - I want to discuss it so we can see where everyone is at.

That would be a good idea, to make it into part of the RP. We’d skip to when they all live together - just for convenience and again, activity. But it can definitely be something that causes tension. Most likely, Waspstar would be the leader of the new clan bc he’s the youngest and has the most lives. And hollystar would just retire to the elders den and thorn would drop down to a senior warrior (he’d be okay with that).

Maybe SeaClan’s camp and most of the beach got flooded due to rising ocean levels and treeclan is willing to expand their territory by merging bc they’re starving. Then the clans can just share the whole area as one clan. I’d have to make a new map.
