TRIBE OF RISING SUN THE BRIGHT AND AGILE
Welcome Welcome to the Tribe of Rising Sun! This is a pretty fast and active rp, including moon skips if needed to keep the rp going. They are a tribe of cats that live in a large desert, surrounded by the sandy abyss they call home. Far on the border is the Tribe of Setting Moon, a pine forest of shadow-hearted, sneaky cats that meets with the desert cats every moon at the full moon gathering. Tribe of Rising Sun see themselves as agile, and swift as the breeze, able to catch many of the prey they find on their territory. They struggle with snakes and also finding water in the warmer seasons. However, they treat each other as good friends and family, with close bonds. To contrast this, they are not as open to outsiders as the Tribe of Setting Moon is, often not allowing them into the tribe unless on special occasion.
Rules i. Follow all forum rules, thank you!
ii. please keep your characters realistic. No unnatural pelt colors or eye colors or wings and no perfect characters! No cat is perfect, everyone has their flaws. ^^
iii. Because this roleplay is pretty fast and active, I will expect at least 2-3 posts per week. However, if there is anything that is stopping that or (I get it, we don’t live on the forums,) you are busy, just tell me and I will most likely understand, If you are inactive for 2 months without telling me, I will remove you from the rp and your cats will be removed. Of course, if you come back, feel free to rejoin the roleplay if you are ready to be active.
iv. When first joining, only make 3-4 cats to make sure everyone can join in and have some fun! Try to be balanced with genders, and if you want to be a kit, make sure you plan someone else’s character to be the mother or create a queen. No motherless kits, unless it’s an important plot point in the rp. In the future, I might change how many cats everyone is allowed. Include your favourite canon series cat at the bottom of your joining form.
v. no god-modding or controlling other people’s cats. It just ruins the fun.
vi. feel free to suggest plots in the discussion page! I love new plots and we can all be open about new and fun ideas to write about!
vii. Be nice and kind to everyone. We are all here to have fun and write new and interesting stories, so make sure to include everybody! ^_^
viii. This roleplay is semi-literate. This means I expect at least a paragraph per post. If you can write more, that’s great! It gives us all something to work with.

Cats Description
Cats of the tribe usually have sand colored, ginger or dust colored pelts. Black pelts are near-impossible and are prone to over heating or being snatched by a hawk, so most don’t make it to a To-Be. White pelts are also incredibly rare, as these cats are easily seen by predators, but don’t have to worry about overheating. Brown pelts aren’t as rare and are usually fine, although ginger, dust and sand is better.
These cats almost always have short fur to help them survive the deadly heat and their eyes can be any color, with hazel and gold being the most common. Personality
Tribe cats are known for being resilient and resourceful. Although they can get by with less water than the average cat, they will drink whenever possible, as they don’t know when they can next. This same attitude applies to hunting, and they will go out of their way to catch prey. Tribe cats don’t get tired easily, and they are known for being clever. They are swift in their hunting, and agile in the warm desert sands. Abilities
The Tribe relies on a wide range of abilities to survive in the desert, and they divide it into three main ones. The Desert-Runners, who have wider paws and can run very fast, allowing them to chase down roadrunners and jackrabbits. The Wind-Jumpers have strong back legs and are great at leaping and pouncing, allowing them to snag lizards and frogs. The final ability is that of the Stone-Claws, known for their much sharper claws. This allows them to excel at protecting the Tribe. The Kits go through a Skill-test when they are 5 moons, in which the Sunteller will decide their rank based on their speed, jumping skills, and size of claws. Seasons i. New-sands - The prey is well stocked, but the temperature starts to rise again. This is the most common season for rain. (Newleaf)
ii. Warm-sands - Prey is in abundance. The desert is scorching hot, and most cats with even the slightest longer pelt suffer to the warm weather. (Greenleaf)
iii. Cool-sands - Temperature starts to drop, prey starts to disappear. The desert gets cooler at nights, causing some short haired cats to feel colder. (Leaf-fall)
iv. Storm-sands - Most cats hate this season. Kit-Mothers try their best not to kit at this time, as some can be seen as cursed. The prey is hidden most of the time, the desert is dark early, and there is a number of storms that affect the tribe. There has been rumors that a strike of lightning has killed cats in the past. (Leafbare)

Tribe Past Sunny, Night and Breeze lived in a twolegplace alley on the far side of the desert oasis, with their group of cats. This included Dusty, Freckle, Henry and Sami. The cats spent most of their time stealing food from the twolegs to survive their alley, helping each other and caring for eachother. However, Freckle came back one day with a tom named Gust. Freckle had saved Gust from a coyote, but in the process, Gust’s sister had disappeared. The group went to the desert to find her, and ended up on the oasis. Breeze found Gust’s sister, Amy. She stated that a kind old cat had taken care of her and told her interesting stories.
Sunny, Night and Breeze met the old tom, with the name of Eagle Swooping over Mountains from a group of cats called the Tribe of Rushing water. He was taken away by twoleg explorers, and was taken to the desert with the twolegs. He had fled from them behind their backs. Eagle told the group about tribe life, and Sunny and Breeze suggested starting their own tribe. Night, the black furred tom argued with them. He hated the desert, and suggested they made tribe life in the vivid rainforest on the other side of the oasis. It caused a rift between the group, and eventually Night left with Sami and Dusty to the forest, to create their own tribe. The remaining cats took longer names under Eagle’s guidance, and they chose Sunny as leader when Breeze refused. They had different talents than the tribe of rushing water and Eagle, Breeze and Sunny worked together to make a working culture for their tribe. When Sunny had Breeze’s kits, she realised something. Jackrabbit had inherited her speed, Wind had her leaping ability, and Stone had Breeze’s long, razor-sharp claws. They soon created the Desert-Runners, the Wind-Jumpers and the Stone-Claws after her kits abilities.
This left one position, Sun’s. She didn’t prefer the term ‘The leader,” and they had nothing until the old tom Eagle died. The old tom visited Sunny and Breeze in a dream, explaining that he would watch over them, along with Sami, who had died a few days before in the other tribe. Sami explained what had happened to him, and Eagle said that they would watch over the Tribe, and try to send signs through patterns in the sand, and for Night’s tribe, marks in their trees, leading the four to name the Tribe the Tribe of Rising Sun, and the leader the Teller of the Shining Sun, or Sunteller. And Night’s tribe was called The tribe of Setting moon, and the leader the Teller of the Shadowed Moon, or Moonteller.
Eagle told them that he and Sami would watch over them from the stars, causing Breeze to give them the name the Tribe of Endless Stars after remembering a story he had told about the Tribe of Endless Hunting. Terminology Teller of the Shining Sun (Sunteller) - Leader of the tribe, receives signs and visions from the Tribe of Endless Stars Healers - Medicine cats of the tribe, however they don’t receive omens or visions. Desert-Runners - Fast running cats that hunt roadrunners and jackrabbits Wind-Jumpers - High jumping cats who can catch birds and easily startled lizards Stone-Claws - Strong cats with extraordinary sharp claws that protect the cats Tribe of Endless Stars - Tribes version of Starclan, sends prophecies and such. Star-Walkers - A word occasionally used to describe the cats in the Tribe of Endless Stars. Renegades - What the tribe calls loners or outcasts
Territory The Tribe of Rising Sun resides in a desert, somewhat near a Twolegplace. Their camp is in an oasis, shaded by palm trees.
Breeze’s Tree - The largest Palm tree in the territory, named after one of the first co founders of Rising Sun. The cats come here when they graduate, making a mark with their claw amongst the other cats marks. When they become elders, they come back to the tree, making a second mark over their first. This tree it’s important to them, and they protect it fiercely, as it holds their entire past.
Eagle’s Dip - The large oasis that shoulders the tribes camp, this is their main water source, but it dries up in Warm-Sands, causing the cats to travel further to get water. Many of the other animals in the oasis come here for water.
Sunrock - A cliff on the outskirts of the territory, that borders the Moonrock, and where the tribe cats meet their ancestors, hold gatherings, and seek advice. They are massive rocks that hang over a small clearing, covered in dirt, and when the sun rises, it shines against the sun, and makes the cat standing on top shine with the force of the sun. This is one of, if not the, most sacred place.
Twolegplace - On the left border, away from the tribe of setting moon, lies a twolegplace, in which many large animals, the cats call ‘Camels’ stay around the twolegs. The tribe cats stay away, afraid of getting stuck under their massive paws. Camp The Tribe’s camp is in an oasis, and the various dens are scattered around it. The Watcher of the Rising Suns’ den is under a rock on one of the sides, sheltered by a few vines growing down over it. The Healer’s den is between a pair of close palm trees, and the back (furthest from the oasis) is blocked by a stone, keeping wind out. The Desert-Runners, Wind-Jumpers, and Stone-Claws’ den is in a clump of fern-like bushes on the opposite side of the oasis. Near the ferns, a fallen palm tree with an odd curve shelters the nursery. One of the ends of the tree has another of the fern-like bushes, further sheltering the den, and some of the Stone-Claws of the past moved a rock to the other side, making a sort of ‘c’ shape facing the water. The elder’s den is on the other side of the nursery, and it is in the area between a moss-covered rock and a palm tree. The rock leans on the tree, creating a right triangle to protect the elders. The To-Bes’ den is on the other side of the Desert-Runner, Wind-Jumper, and Stone-Claws’ den. The To-Bes’ den is in the center of a small patch of desert grasses, sheltering the To-Bes from wind.

ALLEGIANCES - PART 1
Sunteller
Teller of the Shining Sun (Sunteller) | Formerly Cloud Drifting Across Sky 83 moons | Molly, She/Her | Sunteller | A sand colored molly with a darker orange pointed mask on her face. It covers over the top of her face, down to her nose, and spreads to her ears. She is related to the very first Sunteller, and has a strong link with her in her dreams. She has striking blue eyes that are hard to distinguish how she’s feeling. | Sunteller was born to Sage, along with her sister Leap. She was chosen from the young age of 2 moons to take the training of a Sunteller’s position. She rised to the challenge, and when the young molly was faced with the death of the older Sunteller, she earned her new name and has served her tribe for many moons since. | Sunteller is straight forward, assertive and fierce. She protects her tribe with her life, she sees every cat as her family, and even if she is acting arrogant, hidden underneath is a kind molly that deeply cares for her tribe’s wellbeing. Her loyalty is unwavering, She has many of times put herself through hardships for her tribemates, making sure they are safe. She has a sharp tongue, but deep down, she is heart-felt and understandable. | Littermate: Leap of Small Coyote - Mother: Sage Leaves Swaying in Breeze(dead) - Father: Unknown - Mate: Open(mayyybe..) | polarized Healers
Leaf of Green Agave (Leaf)36 moons | Tom, He/Him | Healer | A small, light brown tabby tom. His stripes cover his head, down to his back, making thick circles around his paws. His tail is covered in stripes, and his eyes are a beautiful hazel. | Leaf was found as a newborn on the tribe’s territory, with no parents or kin surrounding him. The tribe brought him home, and he has lived there ever since. He had an interest in the tribe’s healer, and eventually took his role as their To-Be. | Leaf can seem grumpy, and sometimes arrogant but he gets past this, and earns his place as a healer because of his incredible skills. He was only young when placed with the responsibilities of the only healer, but he scoffs when someone asks if it’s too much work. He’s self reliant, and still trying to find his place in the Tribe. | Family is Unknown, Mate and Kits is Open. | polarized Healer To-Be Fennec Fox Burrowing at Dawn (Fennec) 10 moons | Tom, He/Him | To-Be Healer | A mostly ginger tom with a white underbelly, legs and paws. His muzzle is white, as well and he has some white spots plastered around his body. His ginger coloring is both tabby and splotchy; his splotchiness and white patches give the illusion of shadows that cast beneath tree leaves. He has little ears, big paws and hazel eyes that reflect as brown. | Fennec remembers little of his mother and littermates, his memories only beginning as a small kit in the Tribe. He was presumably dumped by Twolegs near the Tribe's camp or perhaps abandoned by his mother, for he is very apparently a runt. Fennec took to bothering Leaf and rummaging through his herb stock constantly from very early moons, so it was never a doubt that he would become the Healer To-Be he is today. | Fennec is a dedicated Healer To-Be, his whole life's focus and passion is in herbalism and being medicine cat to the Tribe. In Twoleg terms, one could compare him to a kooky archaeologist, always in search of a new herb, new sprouting locations and reacting as if he's found jewels when he makes a new discovery. You have to pry him out of the sands and the sprouts in order to get him to stop working, although it doesn't even feel like work to him. He is very "racing thoughts, head full" and can be quite forgetful about things that don't have to do with his practice. He can be a bit off-beat socially but means well, he doesn't mingle as much as other cats would but makes real friends when he does. He isn't very smooth in the romantic department either but when he crushes, oh— he crushes hard. | Unknown Mother and Father, Siblings: OPEN, Crush: OPEN | Cloverwood Desert-Runners
Mirage that Deceives the Eyes (Mirage) 27 moons | Fluid Tom, he/they | Desert-Runner | A tabby/bengal mixed breed with a shimmering terracotta and sandy brown coat. When the light hits his fur just right, it shimmers gold. Their eyes are a green-yellow. | Mirage was born to an incredibly gorgeous molly named Sharing Tongues in Warm-Sands and a knightly father named Tortoise of the Highstone who absolutely doted on and adored their single kit. Mirage was an extroverted and overtly loving kit and To-Be; you could never cease his chatter and he truly loved every creature he laid eyes upon, especially his parents who were so beloved to him. One Storm-Sands, the Tribe was swept with terrible weather, a truly devastating sandstorm, subsequently taking Tongues and Tortoise to the Tride of Endless Stars. After this, Mirage grew cold hearted and bitter, a lump of depression and longing. He has never truly recovered from the death of his parents whom he still loves with all his heart. | Mirage, in his current state, is isolated and stoic; he does not linger on conversation and he purposely builds his nest away from the other cats. The nest he keeps in is the one his mother had when she was through kitting. He is a sweet but tortured soul. There is the gentlest, most life loving soul and heart that lives beneath the cold exterior Mirage has created— he just needs someone to draw it out. | Mother: Sharing Tongues in Warm-Sands (Star-Walker), Father: Tortoise of the Highstone (Star-Walker), Crush: OPEN | Cloverwood Meerkat that Hides in Hole (Meerkat) 41 moons | Tom, He/Him | Desert-Runner | He is a brown bengal cat with dark rosettes in his pelt. He has darker stripes along his lower legs as well as along his tail and some of his neck. His underside is a slightly lighter color and his eyes are yellow-green. | He was born into the tribe to his parents Hawk that Flies in Breeze and Flower that Rests on Cactus in the tribe. As a kit he was very adventurous and playful, loving to play any game anyone suggested. He has lived in the tribe his whole life and has always been very loyal to it. His parents were both on the older side when they had him and ended up dying of old age around his 23rd moon. He loved both his parents very much but has moved on since then. | He is very serious about protecting the clan and all the cats in it but is not afraid to have fun as well. He is quite energetic and fast, this being the reason he is a Desert-runner. Depending on the situation, he can be playful and full of energy, or dead serious. This being said, he is generally a quite friendly cat. | Hawk that Flies in Breeze (Father, Deceased), Flower that Rests on Cactus (Mother, Deceased), Mate (OPEN), Crush (OPEN), ask me about any other relationships. | sharptail Shadow of Gliding Feather (Feather) 25 moons | Tom, He/Him | Desert-Runner | A skinny, tri-colored black, white and partially gray tom with ear tufts and yellow eyes. | Tribe-Born | A worryingly pessimistic and snarky tom for his young age. He is witty, clever, and surprisingly brave, despite assuming the worst is to come. | Family: Open | Dark Ray of Setting Sun (Ray) 50 moons | Tom, He/Him | Desert-Runner | lean, scarred dark ginger tom with amber eyes and a rather long tail. | Was born in the Tribe and initially didnt want to be a desert runner- his father Dark Wing of an Eagle (Dark) was a legendary Stone-Claw and he wanted to be just like him. But the former Sunteller thought he'd be a far better Desert-Runner due to his lean frame and exceptional endurance and so he was made that. He has since adapted well to his role and often as to be ordered back the oasis or he will spend pretty much all day running after prey. | Sort of snappy and short tempered and stubborn and can be a bit of a negative nancy, but Ray is a fiercely loyal cat and will never hesitate to claw anyone who doesnt call the oasis home. | Son of the late Stone-Claw Dark and Wind-Jumper Daisy. Mates with North Light in the Sky. | Oddly enough, he prefers birds to jackrabbits despite being the best hunter of the latter in the tribe. | duskflower Wind-Jumpers
Leap of Small Coyote (Leap) 83 moons | Molly, She/Her | Wind-Jumper | A dust colored molly with stunning brown eyes. She has large, powerful hind paws that has earned her the role of Wind-Jumper, and with direct ancestry of the first Sunteller, she has massive amounts of strength, shown in her jumping abilities. | Leap was born to her mother Sage, with her sister Cloud. When Cloud became the Sunteller, Leap was always there to support her and guide her through the difficulties that the job took. Some cats think that Leap should have gotten the role instead, she has long proved that her sister is more than capable. | The opposite of her littermate, she is kind and gentle with other cats, especially the younger cats of the tribe. She is usually found by the To-Bes for any support or advice they need. After mentoring so many To-Bes, she is a popular pick for any kit when they want to be apprenticed. She cares for other cats, and always there to lend a helping paw. | Littermate: Teller of Shining Sun - Mother: Sage Leaves Swaying In Breeze(dead) - Father: Unknown - Mate: Falcon(Tribe of Setting Moon) - Kits: Cloud of Empty Sky, Flower Floating over River, Sand that shifts under paw | polarized Daffodil in Empty Desert (Daffodil) 13 moons | Molly She/Her | Wind-Jumper | A short-haired ginger ticked tabby she-cat with a white underbelly, tall ears, and glistening amber eyes. | Daffodil grew up surrounded by stereotypes about masculine/feminine appearances. As a kit, she rejected this idea, and whenever a game had to do with a story about a tom and a she-cat, she'd always play the tom in the story, and the other kits accepted the idea as normal. As she grew up, she began to start presenting a bit more masculine-like. | Daffodil is extroverted, as cats would say, but she's the kind of extrovert who befriends all the introverts. This is again also because she's that easy to be friends with. You could have different interests, yet then you end up being her best friend for life! She's the embodiment of a social butterfly! | Tiny Wren on Windy Mountain (Wren) (mother, deceased) Tall Roadrunner Running Across Sand (Roadrunner) (father, deceased) Crush (Future Mate when older): Open! | boragesky Stone-Claws
Snake Slithering Across Sand (Snake) 21 moons | Tom, He/Him | Stone-Claw | Cream cat with green eyes | He was born into the tribe. Sunteller needed to put a bit of thought into what his role would be, due to the fact he is quite lean, small and seemed to have the strong back legs of a Wind-Jumper. | He is sweet, kind and helpful, but also clumsy. He is shy and nervous, especially in larger groups of cats, so he tends to avoid what he percieves as a crowd. He has trouble getting close to other cats because of this. He likes spending time with cats he likes, but isn´t sure how to get close with cats he doesn´t know very well. He likes protecting his tribe as a Stoneclaw and tries his best to do his job, but he is still young and inexperienced. | Parents & Littermates: Rain that Falls Down on Fur & Rabbit Jumping across Stream(dead), Crush: Open | randomcat5 Pale Sky before Dawn (Dawn) 47 moons | Molly She/They | Stone-Claw | a pretty cream-and-white colored oriental short-hair with pale green eyes | Dawn was born and raised in Twolegplace, living a comfortable yet lazy life. Becoming bored of the luxurious lifestyle, she ventured out of her home and wandered upon the Tribe. She found their way of living intriguing and enjoyed the sense of unity. | She is a sweet and motherly molly who tries to care for the whole tribe. Dawn tries her best to be there for everyone, but this causes her to forget to take care of herself. She worries about her tribemates, which causes her to be anxious and overprotective. Despite her kind personality, she can be fierce when faced with a threat. | Family: Open | Dark

Mist of Dry Desert (Mist) 8 moons | Female, She/Her | To-Be | A sleek light brown she-cat with soft blue eyes. She has small sandy colored patches on her, she also somehow ends up with dead plant leaves stuck on her. She has a small cut on her flank from when she tumbled down a rocky hill once. She is very fast on open ground, and can jump okay. | Was born of the clan, and was raised wanting to stay in the clan (which she does) | she is a soft-hearted she-cat. She some reason climbs on any dead trees she can find. | Family: Open | 🎄tansypool🪿 Kit-Mothers
North Light in the Sky (North) 41 moons | Molly, She/Her | Kit-Mother (Stone-Claw) | broad-shouldered, very light dusty brown she-cat with dark amber eyes and a scar on her shoulder. Backstory - originally from the twoleg place, she was being chases by a huge dog and ended up in the desert. She was lost and hungry and tired and was found by a patrol of Wind-Jumpers. she initially wasnt going to come with them, but her health was failing and they convinced her the best thing to was to come back to the oasis and heal. She did just that but when she was finally able to take care of herself, she felt wrong just leaving the kind yet no nonsense cats who saved her. Changing her name from Kya to North Light in the Sky, she made her new home in the oasis ever since. | She was a proud cat, confident in her abilities when she was younger, but life experiences have simmered her down and now she's a more level-headed member of the Tribe- which is good contrast to her mate. | Family is Unknown outside of the Tribe (she doesnt talk much about anyone she knew during her early days) but she is mates with Ray of Setting Sun and mother of his kits. | duskflower Kits
Flower Floating over River (Flower) 0 moons | Molly, She/Her | Kit | fawn-colored ticked tabby with black stripes | Born to Leap, they are half-tribe. | Flower is sweet and curious about the world around her. She's stubborn and determined | Parents: Leap & Falcon(MT), Littermates: Cloud of Empty Sky | randomcat5
Cloud of Empty Sky (Cloud) 0 moons | Molly, She/Her | Kit | light blond fur with a white cloud on her under chest | Born to Leap, they are half-tribe | just like any kit she is very excited, she thinks she is fearless but she is scared of every shadow she sees, cloud is very sweet and is a try hard, she tries to prove she is a great addition to the tribe | Parents: Leap & Falcon(MT), Littermates: Cloud of Empty Sky | snowfall1
Sand that Shifts under Paw (Sand) 0 moons | Tom, He/Him | Kit | He is a fawn colored tom with faint speckles scattered around his pelt. He also has faint tabby stripes on his legs, tail, neck, and head. His underside is a slightly lighter color than the rest of his pelt. He has large hazel eyes. | Born to Leap, they are half-tribe | He is very curious, adventurous, and playful. He is full of energy almost all the time and loves to play fight. | Parents: Leap and Falcon(MT), Littermates: Flower Floating over River, Cloud of Empty Sky. | sharptail Elders
Rain that Falls Down on Fur (Rain) 134 moons | Molly She/Her | Elder (Former Stone-Claw) | light brown tabby with white snout and yellow eyes | She was born during the reign of the 3rd Sunteller. Illness struck the tribe during her early adulthood, killing both her parents and her only littermate. She has lived through and survived many similar hard times and the long service to her Tribe and her old age left her feeling fulfilled with her life. She believes she had a good life, despite the hardships. Unfortunately, this long service to her Tribe has left her worn down and aching. She often suffers from physical ailments such as aching joints and a near permanent case of sand-pads, but will not let that stop her from ordering around younger tribe members, giving advice to Tribe members young and old, telling stories about times long past or times no one else recalls and enjoying retirement while it lasts. She never had kittens before, believing she had no time for kits as her job as Stone-claw was more important. As she grew older, she realised that she may have to retire soon and her mate would retire even sooner. If she and her mate wanted to have kits, this would be their last chance, and so she had Snake. News - 13 moons ago, The Healer Sunset passed to the Star-Walkers. Leaf was made the permanent healer.
- 2 moons ago, Sage died protecting the prey she had caught to a coyote. She was found by a patrol near the oasis, which fuelled the anger the tribe has for the neighbouring Coyote pack more.
Current plots Coyote Pack | Currently: Active
Sunteller found an omen in the sand beside Breeze’s Tree. It showed coyotes and the cats facing eachother. This has worried her, and she hasn’t told anyone about it. Coyotes have now started to steal prey, and the tribe cats are fearful, and rumours have said the smaller packs have joined together to make a larger enemy.
Sub-Plots - Leap is Expecting Kits! Only… her mate lies in the other tribe. Will she tell her kits or her tribe-mates?
Future Plots - The tribe is in Storm-Sands, and it’s the worst one they have ever seen. A massive sandstorm rushes through the oasis, killing cats in its path. They cats fear they might not survive, and when it finally vanishes, they return to the camp in New-Sands, to see it completely stranded and destroyed. They have to build it again.

Sunteller Camp Clearing {--} Open to Interaction It was the fresh breeze of New-Sands that ruffled her fur. It felt good, especially after Storm-Sands, to be back in the calm desert again felt good. It was only 2 moons since her mother’s death. May you walk safely with the other Star-Walkers. Sunteller looked to the sky. There was no more time for grief. Leap had already taken peace with the fact. She jumped down from the High-Stone, and looked at the fresh-kill pile. Empty. It was New-Sands! Her tribe-mates were already resting in the warm sun, but there was no time for resting. They didn’t know when the prey might hide. Or, even, with the recent coyote trouble, especially the one that killed Sage, now had a problem with the Tribe. It was once the cats that had pushed the coyotes out of the oasis. It seemed now, that the coyotes had joined together to try and get the cats out of the oasis. She had been warned of this by her ancestors, yet she hadn’t told her tribe. She shook the thoughts out of her head. There was things to do. She looked to Leap, and nodded. “You wouldn’t mind taking a patrol, would you?” She purred to her sister. She was always there to help her with anything. The molly then found herself staring at the healers den. They were usually the cats to talk to if any problem was bothering her.
Sunteller ducked to dodge the massive leaves from the palm trees that covered the cosy den. “Leaf?” The young tom was bombarded with the responsibility of the only healer, at such a young age. She sighed, sitting next to the tom. “The recent trouble with the coyotes is worrying me. I think they want us gone.” She paused, her tail tucking over her paws. “Sage was lost. How many more of my tribe-mates will I lose?” She told the bengal tom. Leaf shook his head. “The Stone-Claws know what to do.” He was tying up leaves with a poultice inside. “Coyotes have always bothered the tribe. It will soon blow over.” He muttered, too focused on his current job. He nodded his farewell, then took the wrap and padded out of the den. Sunteller knew what he said wasn’t true. He hadn’t seen the omen. It was never going to blow over. She told herself that she needed to speak with Moonteller. He might offer something to help. Maybe another day. She stared down at the bustling camp in front of her, cats awaking and gathering for patrols. The Tribe of Endless Stars must have something planned. They have too. Tags [[ First post for Sunteller! ]] Leap Camp Clearing {--} With Snake & Meerkat Leap nodded to her sister. “Of course.” The dust colored molly knew her sister was troubled. Just 80 moons ago, they were kits in the nursery playing together. They couldn’t hide anything from each other anymore. Patrol. She stared around camp, then looked to Snake and Meerkat. The Stone-Claw and Desert-Runner would be useful. Sunteller wanted all patrols to have a Stone-Claw now. With the coyotes, you could never be sure. She padded to the two toms. “Will you both join me for a patrol? Any prey would be useful.” She stared at Snake. “Sunteller wants us to watch out for coyotes. Any sign of a camp would work too.” She nodded to the two cats, then waited for their answer. “New-Sands should bring more prey.”
Tags [[ I know all cats aren’t finished yet, but feel free to post a reply when you can ^^ ]] Leaf Camp Clearing {--} Open to Interaction Leaf took his wrap and laid it in front of the kit-mother’s den. There was too much to do. He growled to himself as he walked across the camp. Counting the herbs left, New-Sands would have brought so much more of them outside. He muttered to himself, staring down at his paws. Fennec wasn’t inside the den. Of course! He grunted. He would be away exploring again. He walked out of camp, to find his to-be. With any luck, he had found some Saguaro Fruit. The den’s supply was low, and with the warmer weather coming, Heat-thirst will lay its first victim. Saguaro Fruit was one of the most useful herbs they had for it. It soothed the throat, and helped the thirst. With any luck, Fennec wouldn’t be digging useless holes again. “Fennec!” He growled, his paw pads already feeling the heat from the warm sand. He could feel the tiny particles sticking to the back of his paws. He had taught him the places they find some of the most useful herbs, but it seems he was always distracted. “Fennec!” He gave a final hiss, starting to walk quicker.

Meerkat In Camp - With Snake and Leap
He turned to face Leap, his pelt shimmering in the sun. "Of course, anything for the tribe. A hunting patrol I presume?" the tom meowed to Leap. "Anywhere in particular we're going?" the tom asked curiously. He pawed the ground a bit while waiting for Leap's response. The sand shifting easily when his paw moved through it.
OOC: No tags? Also, I'm trying my best to make this a longer post but I don't know what to add. And, I'm going to try and finish Meerkat but I have to leave in like, five minutes so I'll do it around 7:00-ish maybe.

Fennec Fox Burrowing at Dawn 𓃦
At Eagle's Dip & Inside Camp with Leaf
Fennec kicked sand up with his front paws, scattering the dust behind him with his hind legs, tail swaying in a fixated rhythm. One could not see the ginger tom's head from the behind, for it was too deep inside the hole he was digging. The sun and heat from the sand unaffected the young one; he was just too invested in his current venture. The sounds of hawks cawing up above, the skittering of mice in the brushes, none could sway Fennec away from his precious work.
He was bustling safely beneath an overhanging chaparral tree, inbetwixt the shade of the shrubby leaves; the sound of lapping water followed the rhythm of his tail. Nothing screams confidence more than this young cat completely enthralled in his sand burrow all alone, drinking in the delicious solitude that is being a Healer. How much more delectable could life possibly get when your paws are sandy and tongue is tasting medicine in the air?
"Fennec!" The first call was barely heard by the To-Be, he continued mumbling to himself about his herbal findings, head lost in the burrow. "Fennec!" Fennec perked up right quick then, his ears twitching towards the sound of Leaf's voice calling his name— he didn't sound too happy either.
Fennec gulped a bit, his ears going flat for just a moment. He scurried up the sand in a hurry, bounding towards the sound of his mentor's voice. "I'll be cuffed on my ear again for sure." He thought to himself and whinced a bit.
Once he caught up to the older cat at the lip of the camp entrance, he tried immediately explaining himself, respectful and precise with his words, as usual.
"Leaf." Fennec bowed his head, paws and maw completely coated in sand. "You must listen. You should be pleased to know that I found Acacia roots beneath the Chapparal tree that grows beside Eagle's Dip. I felt the vibrations under my paws, I am telling you, I did; my intuition was right! The tree must have gotten uprooted by a storm a long time ago but the roots are still healthy as ever!"

Rain was hungry. It had been almost half a day since she had last eaten. Elders were fed first, and last she checked she was an elder. As much cats should be out there as possible to feed everyone, but no Wind-jumpers or Desert-runners seemed to have come back recently. No matter, the sunlight was still soft. It was Newsands now, there should be more prey to fatten everyone back up. It secretly worried her how thin everyone had gotten recently. More fresh-kill would do everyone good. She just had to be patient, surely there would be prey once bright-sun had arrived.

Leap Camp {--} With Snake, Meerkat & Leaf She nodded to the toms, “The sands near Eagle’s dip is always lively with prey this season.” She flicked her tail for them to follow her, but something stopped her from leaving camp. Something felt different than usual. She suddenly had a stomachache. She looked to the two toms. “It would be best if you find another cat. I need to find a healer.” She sighed, looking for anyone for them to invite. “Ask Mirage.” She looked to the mixed bengal cat. “They might join you.” She wished her final goodbye, then went in search of the healer. What was wrong with her? It was New-Sands. Was it Heat-thirst? She didn’t feel thirsty. Then, Leaf and Fennec bounded into camp. She padded up to them both, spilling out. “I’m expecting..” But she knew she had noticed late. She had ignored it as just the new-sands prey filling her up. It was kits! What would she tell her sister? Even worse, what would she tell the father? Her mate wasn’t in the Tribe. He was a tom from the opposing tribe. What will I tell the tribe? What will I tell my kits?
Leaf Eagle’s Dip {--} With Fennec He flicked his ears surprisingly at his to-be. He nodded respectfully. “Uh— Well done.” He flicked his tail, then looked elsewhere. “Pick it up. We’ll take it back to camp anyways.” He leaded the way, surprised his to-be was doing something useful. He muttered to himself as he entered camp. He stared at Leap who had run up to the two healers. He looked at her curiously. “I’m expecting.” She told them suddenly. Leaf looked at her shocked, he hadn’t even noticed! And it looked like she had been expecting for a while already. “Come with me to the healer’s den.” He looked down to Fennec. This was a good time to test the to-be. “What herb do we use for kit-mothers?” He stared down at the young cat curiously. He let Fennec think, and led the worried Leap into the den. She looked swollen with kits already! How had he never noticed? But he remembered that Storm-Sands was busy with sick cats. He had no time too. They still had time. He sighed as he continued with his duties.
It was only after the moon had fallen. Leaf was standing because Leap, who had experienced a rough kitting. Fennec had done a great job, actually. He remembered everything about herbs he needed too. Leaf told the to-be to have a good rest. Looking down at Leap’s tiny 3 kits, snoozing calmly. They were smaller than any newborn Leaf had ever seen. The tiny kits sparked Leaf’s curiosity. Who was the father? He shook the thoughts, then left the mother to sleep in the nursery. [[ kittens! I know this is early but I wanted this up for people to be able to claim them. ]]

Snake looked at Leap as she told them she needed a healer, and to invite Mirage to take her place. He was unsure of what to say to her in response. Leap had just walked away without another word or time for goodbyes, so maybe he didn´t need to say anything at all. He turned to Meerkat. He liked Meerkat. Meerkat was always friendly to him, he enjoyed Meerkat´s company, but wasn´t sure how to interact with him one-on-one. But he wouldn´t mind giving it a try. ¨So...¨ he could do this, Meerkat seemed kind. Surely he wouldn´t mind him making a suggestion... right? ¨We´re still going to Eagle´s Dip, right? Let´s invite Mirage, like Leap said to... Unless you want to go with just the two of us, that would also be great.¨ He hesitated now. They should invite Mirage, But Mirage was a little bit scary sometimes and also a little (maybe slightly more than just a little) bit mean to him sometimes. He never dared approach Mirage, Afraid of drawing his Tribemate´s ire. So he just looked at Mirage, then at Meerkat, then back at Mirage. He was not planning on aproaching Mirage today, not after the tiring night he had. ( sharptail Cloverwood )

MeerkatIn Camp - With Snake and Leap "We should invite Mirage. We're more likely to find more prey that way." he meowed to the tom. Meerkat could tell that Snake was hesitant to have Mirage join the patrol with them but he hoped that doing so might be good for them. He didn't know exactly why Snake didn't like Mirage and also wasn't sure if he would ever find out."I can go ask them if you like." he offered politely, hoping to let him avoid having to have a conversation with Mirage. Fennec Fox Burrowing at Dawn 𓃦
At Camp (Clearing, Healer's Den) with Leaf & In Nest - Open to Interaction
"I'm expecting." Fennec's eyes widened at Leap's words. He could tell that Leaf wasn't anticipating this information either. Immediately he felt an excitement tumbling in his belly, it was always wonderful to have new kits to watch over and play with.
Fennec was feeling a little disappointed in himself for not being able to tell, he was rather adept in his intuition and felt an internalized pridefulness about it.
"What herb do we use for kit-mother's?" Leaf stared down with an expected subtle intensity at his To-Be. Fennec collected his thoughts with ease and rummaged through his brain.
"Well—" Fennec followed Leaf and Leap to the Healer's Den as he spoke. "there's buckwheat, to help with queen's during their birthing. There's also Cottonroot; not only does it soothe the queens during birth but it also promotes production of milk, to be abundant and more nutritious."
Fennec waved his tail proudly, purring quietly to himself. He was never looking for praise, he just took immense pleasure and pride in knowing everything about herbs. But he could not linger on the feeling; as soon as Leaf became serious with his duties, Fennec fell right into place beside him.
𓃦 It was after moonfall and the sleepy Fennec padded to his nest, being dismissed by Leaf who seemed especially proud of the young cat tonight. Fennec had not experienced something like he had today. It was hard to watch Leap in so much pain and to witness the sight of so much blood. More so, Fennec felt an intensity of fulfillment to know he had a paw in helping her through such an ordeal. He, too, purred at the remembrance of the sweet and adorable new kits.
It was arduous but Fennec left the experience feeling learned and matured. He was exactly where he needed to be— caretaking cats, thriving off of herbal knowledge and still being ecstatic to take on another day after it all.
The tom plopped into his nest, laying on his back with his paws curled and tail splayed out lazily. The rustle of the grasses soothed and lulled Fennec, his eyes drooping and opening again and again.
The ginger boy's paws instinctually grasped the air in his sleepiness, doing the same motions as he did with the Cottonroot. His paws slowly stopped moving, falling down onto his chest. He breathed in one last breath of the night air, drinking in the brilliant stars above and fell into a deep slumber...
Mirage that Deceives the Eyes 𓂀
Alone at Camp Entrance - Open to Interaction
Mirage sat sunning himself on a rock just barely outside of the camp's entrance, the rock was scorching but it paid no mind to him. His eyes were closed and his tail was wrapped around his paws, looking truly zen. The sun's rays must have been made to cast spotlight upon his coat, because what a gorgeous sight to behold.
This solitude was silent; no cat could make acquaintances with the wind and grains like Mirage. He would dedicate himself to anything he knew for certain would not leave him; to anything that was immortal— the wind... the sand... the sun and the moon.
"Sun's going down soon." Mirage's thoughts were his only friend. "I feel annoyingly tired today, should we head to nest early or catch some mice?"
Mirage's pelt jumped every so often, indicating to him that there were eyes on him— but he chose not to engage with the possibility. He instead remained perfectly still and absorbed the sun's energy like photosynthesis. He needed this time to sit with himself and regenerate.
But that prickling feeling was ever present. "If they want my attention then they must come up to me themselves." Mirage's thoughts grumbled and his claws sheathed and unsheathed into the sunrock.
"Head to nest early or catch mice?" Mirage took a deep breath, recalibrating his train of thought, and plunged himself into his mind palace.

Mirage looked so peaceful, they definitely did not want to be bothered. Snake would hate to be the one to deal the the tom´s ire. Luckily, Meerkat has offered to ask mirage, so he wouldn´t have to. But from the little Snake knew about Mirage and the experiences he had with them, he knew that Mirage would probably still be unhappy with him regardless. Mirage´s mood always seemed to get even worse when Snake was near. Almost like Mirage had some sort of disdain for him that he didn´t have for other cats, like Mirage disliked him the most out of all the Tribecats. But Snake wasn´t sure if Mirage was meaner to him than they were to everyone else or if he was just imagining it, like had imagined Rains dislike for him when he was a To-Be. Either way, he was very thankful that Meerkat had offered to go talk to them. Wether Meerkat liked talking to Mirage or just wanted to help him,Snake, out,he was glad he wouldn´t have to talk to Mirage right now. Not with the mood Mirage seemed to be in. Or maybe he was imagining it too. Maybe he was imagining Meerkat´s good intentions too. Maybe he was imagining his own skills and usefulness too, maybe... He shook his head, this was no time to think about such things. Last nights nightmare, which had been almost a moonrise ago, must have shaken him more than he thought. He then realised it had been sevaral seconds since Meerkat had offered to ask Mirage and had been waiting for an answer. ¨Yes¨ he quickly answered, ¨That would be great, thank you¨ Meerkat was so nice, he shouldn´t make him wait on his slow self anymore once they were hunting. He would try to do better (ooc sorry this was so long, I was inspired sharptail Cloverwood )

The sun was leaving the sky. Rain might need something for her leg, the nights were not warm enough yet to ease the discomfort in het hind leg. She had trouble falling asleep last moonrise because of the still too-cold nights for her. Hopefully it would get warmer soon, Her leg was stiff from the cold every night. She saw Leaf coming out of the nursery from her posiotion in front of the Elders den. She got up. She started walking towards him, not wanting to call out for him, which would disturb Leap and her kits. ¨Leaf¨ she said quietly. ¨Leaf, can I please get something for my leg? It has been very stiff the last few nights and I would like a good nights sleep.¨ She hated exposed her weaknesses, but Leaf was a healer and would try to help as much as he could. So was also sick of having trouble sleeping because of her leg. She was tired, kinda hungry and just wanted to go to sleep. Meerkat In Camp - With Snake and Mirage
"No problem." he said to Snake before turning so he could see Mirage. He walked over to Mirage and sat beside him. "Leap, Snake, and I were going to go on a hunting patrol by Eagle's Dip. Leap had to go see the healers before we left so she told us to see if you would be able to come in her place." he informed the tom politely, trying not to anger him. He watched Mirage sheathe and unsheathe his claws as he awaited his answer.

Leaf Camp {--} With Rain He peeked into his den, seeing Fennec finally resting. It was a long night. He was surprised when he was face to face with the tribes elder. Rain told him of her stiff leg, and he nodded respectfully. “Of course I can help.” He padded into the den, still quiet to make sure he didn’t wake his to-be. He recited the herbs in his head, remembering what was good for aches and stiff limbs. He took a couple Chaparral and Camphor leaves, making sure they were fresh. He found Rain, and guided the old elder to her den. “This should do the trick.” He placed the leaves in front of her. “A good night’s rest should help. The deserts will get warmer when it’s Warm-Sands.” He looked out the den. “Leap has kitted. You will have the kits coming in here soon enough.” He purred. The kits should be checked on. He said his goodbyes, then walked to the nursery. Leap still looked bad, the birth was hard. She was older than the other mollies he had helped in their kittings. He sighed of relief when he saw the tiny kittens breathing well, and despite their tiny size, still healthy. They would need more time in the nursery before they were out, but they were strong. They were lucky to be born in New-Sands. He eventually led into his den, finding his nest and plopping down. He grumbled to himself before eventually going to sleep. [[ Yeah this is from a different timeframe than the patrol. Will probably get a Sunteller post up soon with coyote drama or something. ]]

“A good night’s rest should help. The deserts will get warmer when it’s Warm-Sands.” The healer told her. She already knew that, but she understood that Leaf was just doing his job and was only giving her helpful advice that she just so happened to already know. She nodded to acnowledge his comment, There was no need to say anything more. She would usually try to chat, but Leaf looked exhausted. His exhaustion whas probably related to all of the commotion in the nursery. “Leap has kitted. You will have the kits coming in here soon enough.” Leaf purred. ¨The Tribe is truly blessed to receive new life.¨ She purred happily. She mewed goodbye to Leaf and watchted him leave before going back to thinking. She already knew someone had kitted. The now Kit-Mother Hadn´t exactly been quiet during Kitting, the occupied nursery and presence of Leaf and Fennec hadn´t been subtle either. The sounds of a rough kitting were never pleasant to hear. No matter how often she heard them, she could never get used to the pained noises. Her heart always ached for the poor cats Kitting and the pain they were in, the effort it took for them to complete the Kitting. It also reminded her of her own Kitting that had been rough too. She would love to visit Leap and her new kits, but she knew from experience that Leap would be too tired to recieve visitors soon. The honour of being the first visitor of the kits would likely go to Sunteller. She wanted to go see Leap, see if she´s okay. But Leap needed rest, The healers wouldn´t have left Leap alone if she was in bad condition, so Rain didn´t need to keep worrying about her anymore. She relaxed and sat down. She curled her tail over her front paws and started taking small, methodical bites from the herbs in front of her. Once she finished all the herbes, she walked towards her sleeping-spot. She laid down and closed her eyes. (looks like I´m on a roll today. This is more like some sort of essay and less like roleplay, but oh well. polarized)

Mirage that Deceives the Eyes 𓂀
At Camp Entrance with Meerkat & Snake
Mirage did not look in the direction of Meerkat and Snake at first, internally assessing his feelings. His body stayed in place, turning his head towards Meerkat.
"Leap asked this?" Mirage pondered. He respected the molly's word and desires very much. He respected Meerkat as well, being as he was much older than him. "I suppose I'll come along if she asked such a thing of me." He stretched his back out and sighed quietly to himself.
He noticed Snake standing behind Meerkat, looking at him with an anxious gaze. Mirage felt a sting in his heart, realizing how he came off to other cats. It upset him in the moment but he did not show it or attempt to mend it... It didn't always used to be this way.
Mirage got up from his stretch and flicked his tail towards Meerkat.
"I'll follow your lead." Mirage's meow came out a bit more flat than usual, as he was trying to hide his feelings.

"I'll follow your lead." Mirage meowed flatly. Snake wasn´t sure why Mirage said it like that. He started thinking hard on why, but couldn´t reach a logical conclusion. Besides, Rain told him to stop overanalysing everything someone did around him, so he should just.. try to relax and do his job as a stoneclaw. He nervously swished his tail and waited for Meerkat to lead them out of camp. ( Cloverwood sharptail )

Meerkat Leaving Camp - With Snake and Mirage
He nodded to Mirage and turned back so he could see Snake. He walked over to him and signaled with his tail to follow out of camp. He turned to the camp exit and started walking out of camp and towards Eagle’s Dip where they were going to hunt. “I wonder what we’re going to catch.” he pondered aloud, trying to get the two toms to talk.

Snake followed Meerkat and Mirage out of camp. He trailed behind them, keeping pace and listening intently to the sounds of the desert around him ¨I wonder what we’re going to catch.¨ Meerkat meowed. ¨Me too,¨ he answered. ¨I mean, you are the hunters so... it´s your decision what you´ll hunt... right? Unless we don´t find anything.¨ He said. ¨Not that I think you two won´t find anything,¨ he hastily added. ¨I just... you never know what you will find on a patrol.¨ He went quiet, unsure of what to say next after his weird ramble. Maybe he should try to add some sort of value to the conversation. What kind of animaly frequented Eagle´s Dip around this season? Scorpions? Fish? Yes, ¨fish¨ He said. It was silent for a moment. ¨You wondered what prey you would catch. Maybe you two will catch some fish?¨ Snake explained, realizing that saying ´fish´ out of nowhere was confusing. He wasn´t sure how difficult fishing was, but surely both cats would be able to fish? He had never caught anything, so he wasn´t sure exactly how difficult hunting really was, but it looked complicated and very difficult. The only thing he had ever caught were twigs, some cacti leaves (the non-prickly kind) and a spider. And those were all from when he was a kit. While thinking this, he keps subconsciously moving his ears around to listen to the desert and kept a close eye on their surroundings. His muscles were tense. He looked over at Mirage. (ooc: I think we can best discuss now what they will run into, or we keep it a surprise, I don´t mind either way. Do either of you have anything in particular you want these guys(gender-neutral) to run into? we can have them run into coyotes for the plot, but I think it might be more fun to have them hunt normally and observe some coyotes in the distance maybe. sharptail Cloverwood)
