(I hope you don’t mind that I sort of fast forwarded to them at the meadow, to save some time!) Acaciaberry The walk to the meadow had been rather easy, despite its distance from the camp. It was a nice, warm day in late green-leaf, with a light breeze in the air and white clouds rolling above them, softer and tamer than the clouds from the flood that occurred only days prior.
And Acaciaberry happily spent the walk regaling Opalheart with whatever topic fancied her mind until they finally reached the meadow and Acaciaberry let out a soft sigh of relief as she looked at the multitude of flowers. ”Isn’t it just fantastic here? I’ve always loved Ánoithea’s meadows, even if I know I’m not allowed to come here for hunting until leaf-fall,” Acaciaberry mused, padding into the sacred meadow of the goddess of new-leaf.
In a way, Acaciaberry often thought of Ánoithea as the goddess of life in general, as the world did not wake up and start to live again until she had blessed MyrtleClan with her return.
”Alright Opalheart, let’s remember the mission at hand,” Acaciaberry added and took a breath, pawing softly at the ground. ”Finding an acacia flower!”

Whimbrelstep myrtleclan territory — accompanied by: Brightpaw she/her - hunter Whimbrelstep would have asked Furzestomp, her mate, had he been with her right now. Unfortunately, the white tom was elsewhere and she only had Brightpaw to rely on for advice. How embarrassing– what kind of hunter relied on their apprentice to help them choose a token? It didn't scream "leadership" nor did it say "mentor." It was more "desperate and unsure" than anything else.
Forcing a small smile, the brown spotted tabby nodded. "I know you will!" she added, trying to be as positive as possible.
Whimbrelstep began shuffling her paws, unsure if she should really ask Brightpaw now. She had already asked, so what was the point in beating around the bush? "Well, don't tell any cat yet, but I want to join the Lightning Games," she admitted, her voice lower than usual. She noticed the curiosity on her apprentice's face and she couldn't help but grin foolishly at him. "But I need a token like the others. I was thinking I could find something near the stream while we're hunting. So, what do you think? Should I even bother with it, joining the Games? I mean, cats like Thundersnap and Stoatchase are more likely to win."
Even as she padded onward, she was discouraged by her own words. What chance, if any, did Whimbrelstep have?

Pantherprowl myrtleclan territory — accompanied by: Sablefrost he/him - hunter Pantherprowl rolled his green eyes at Sablefrost before offering a response. "A hunter can't be hungry when their clanmates need prey first," he boasted with a wink.
As they made their way through MyrtleClan's territory, Pantherprowl glanced around them for any prey. There wasn't any in the Olive Grove due to the commotion with cats hurrying in and out of camp. Either way, he'd need to bring some prey back to camp so it didn't look like he did nothing the entire time.
As Sablefrost mused on about a shard of flint, he felt a bit excited inside– at least one of his suggestions was good enough! Although once she mentioned the river, his cheerfulness dissipated. He turned to the black smoke she-cat with a stern gaze before letting out a theatrical sigh. "The river, really? Is this only because I mentioned that you smell like fish? I feel like you're trying to get back at me," Pantherprowl meowed, pouting a bit. "Fineee. I'll catch a fish just for you, Sablefrost and your little token, of course."

RainpawWith Fawnpaw | 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖
He had to admit, as much as he hated it, he was rather jealous of Pikeppaw right now. Then again, she would have charged right in declaring she's not afraid of some stupid cave. That and Cloudpaw, both of them would be fighting over who was braver. Ignoring Fawnpaw's story, Rainpaw took a few cautious steps forward. The rocks beneath him felt cold as ice, as if they haven't seen the light of day in centuries. "Just- Just stay close to me," Rainpaw said without looking over his shoulder, "We're just going in a few fox-lengths, come right out, and speak of this to no one. Just... Hold onto my tail so we don't lose each other."He never liked to use his "authority" as the oldest apprentice, but this was one time he had to. If the legends were true, something dangerous and horrible was deep within those caverns. He was not eager at all to meet it. At least with him in the lead, Fawnpaw can't get into much trouble. Just stay calm... Just stay calm... We're not going that far in... Nothing will hurt us... Okeaneos watch over us... Pólemeos give us strength... Nekreos, please don't judge us...(Big brother Rain being a big brother <3)

Windingdeer
Camp -|- With Sandyhawk (𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 ) Windingdeer had felt a particular kind of nausea when Laurelstar’s nest was brought out, the subtle scent still able to be detected in the air.It is what it is. Windingdeer know’s she’ll still mourn.. and miss the two souls, lost, but they were guided to be with the Gods for a reason. Their lives taken suddenly, maybe to stop from a worse fate, or simply.. the gods wanted to bring their just, and loyal followers to live with them.Windingdeer definitely still felt a bit off though, the flood was just so unexpected. She expects to look at the whirl of a sky and see another storm, and the gods swift anger with it.She keeps a careful, mindful eye on the youngest ones of the clan, her family in particular. She couldn’t bear to lost either of their kits, gods forbid Sandyhawk. At the closing in scent of her mate, she calms like a breeze, one moment uneasy, and the next her shoulders droop with a gentle smile, ears perking up happily once she catches Sandyhawk in sight. Windingdeer dips her head, purring softly, and a bit roughly, at the affection.“My Sand.” She greets, leaning against the fur of his chest before nestling her tail around him, a mirror to his own actions. “I wouldn’t mind at all! Would love to, really. Where were you planning on heading towards?” The molly pauses, and inquisitive, but.. cheered expression. She’ll admit.. she’s curious, she’d support him fully, use her voice of her to cheer him on, if he’d decided to. “Were you planning on looking for a token?”
DustedBlack
Leaving Camp -|- With Parsleyleap ( Ember34 ) He hummed, catching up, and mewing a quick thanks at their pause for him. Dustedblack tilted his head to get a better look at his companion as they spoke, both of them leaving the familiar grounds of camp, to exit towards the familiar grounds of the Clan’s territory. It still made him a bit disturbed, knowing he was leaving camp to find a token, to participate in a game. A game to win as leader. But stranger things have happened.Dustedblack gives a bit of a laugh, “They probably would, I can only imagine if they let the little apprentices participate. Especially alone that little leaf lover.” He says.Dustedblack chirps an agreement, “Choosing a token for a strength of yours would probably be a bit better suited. Maybe we could both find a few crystalline rocks? Or.. maybe a shell?” He suggests, the cat peeking up at the idea, “I’m sure, as some cats say, we’ll know when we see it. I do doubt that a bit.”He steers himself some, “The sands first, or some hunting? A feather would suit you stellar. Maybe go on the search for one in the cliffs? There’s probably a few more viable winged creatures.”

Aspectpetal
Camp -|- With Stagshatter (𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 ) Aspectpetal lifted a paw and rolled her partly formed sphere of sticks and straw back towards herself, nestled between her front paws. She didn’t really think of what other conclusions one might leap to with her making a token of sorts.. and not competing. Aspectpetal’s ears swivel, and straighten.“Ah.. it’s more of a sentiment, I suppose. And no- I’m not courting anycat. More of.. a remembrance, of the only leader and deputy I’ve known.” The molly says, head tilting. Her ears aswell.“Something so I don’t forget who let me join the clan, when there’s another taking on the role.” She adds, leaning down to nudge the little half formed ball. She’s.. embarrassed, just a tad, but proud of her little creation, as she is by everything she’s helped make. “Plus, maybe the kits will like to roll it around.” She adds with a purr.

Nectardrop camp — accompanied by: Beedance she/her - scout Nectardrop almost leapt out of her pale pelt when she heard Beedance's purr. "Beedance! You almost scared me," she meowed, her pale blue eyes wide and fur standing on its edges. "I'm good, but the apprentices have been talking about the Games nonstop! They really are excited for them, I overheard them talking about Stoatchase, too."
The pale bengal she-cat was known to eavesdrop, but how could she not when the apprentices spoke so openly and loudly? Was she supposed to ignore their entire existence? That seemed rather stupid, especially when they loved to go on about the Games. Nectardrop didn't have many friends of her own age, at least ones that she knew of.
"Oh, I'm excited! What about you? I really hope Thundersnap will win," she meowed to her mother with a smile plastered on her face. "I'd like that, actually. Where did they go off to?"

Sablefrost Laurel Stream | With Pantherprowl (Sand) Sablefrost let out a low laugh at her nephew’s insistence that he wasn’t hungry. ”Of course, you feed the clan first,” she agreed and flicked her ears, studying Pantherprowl for a few seconds. He was a good hunter, one Sablefrost was sure Silhouettewing would be proud of.
Sablefrost and Pantherprowl didn’t have a lot of family in the clan, it was mostly just the two of them. Sablefrost wasn’t sure if she was ever truly enough, and she knew she could never replace Silhouettewing, but at least Pantherprowl seemed happy. He didn’t mention his mother much and Sablefrost wasn’t going to bring her up unless he did.
Looking away from him, Sablefrost focused on the river—or well, stream, she supposed— as she listened to him. ”If we’re looking for flint, there’s only two places it could be,” she explained simply. ”riverbeds or rocky caves and cliffs. Laurel Stream is closer, so we’re starting there.”
It didn’t take them long to reach the large stream and Sablefrost quickly looked it over. There were various places in the stream with stepping stones to get to the other side, as this was the only way to reach certain areas like Synkomithea’s Garden or Ánoithea’s Meadow. But, luckily, Sablefrost didn’t think they would need to cross the stream today.
Sablefrost tipped her head to the side as she sat at the edge of the stream, eyeing the water inside. The water was clear, and Sablefrost could easily see different types of rock at the bottom, however, none quite looked like flint to her.

Fawnpaw Fawnpaw giggled slightly at Rainpaw’s uncertainty and she shook her head at him. ”Come on, Rainpaw, it’s just a cave, I’m sure we’ll be fine,” she promised, not sticking to his tail as she peered inside, staring at the deep hole in the center. ”Do you think that’s really the entrance to the underworld?” she asked, head tipped to the side.
Wouldn’t it be something if it was? Maybe that’s where Porthmeíos brought the dead from this world to the next. Fawnpaw’s eyes widened at the thought as she imagined a great river at the very bottom of the cave with the furless, eyeless figure of Porthmeíos carrying Laurelstar and Fignose to Nekreos’ domain.
Fawnpaw had to know how deep it went.
Bounding forward, Fawnpaw picked up a rock in her mouth and walked right over to the edge, leaning forward just enough to drop the rock down the chasm.
She perked her ears, waiting for the sound of it to drop.
And then she waited some more…and then some more….and then some more.
Slowly, Fawnpaw glanced back over at Rainpaw. ”Do you hear that, Rainpaw? It still hasn’t hit the bottom! This chasm must be huge!”

Stagshatter Camp | With Aspectpetal (soot) A token for the leader and deputy they had lost, not one to join the games…how….interesting.
Stagshatter had never considered that before, it wasn’t listed in the code and he hadn’t learned anything about that during his lessons of traditions as an apprentice. Still, it did seem like a nice thing to do. ”I’m sure Laurelstar would appreciate it,” he told her, twitching his whiskers slightly as he looked toward Laurelstar’s nest.
”I wish I could enter, but I haven’t had an apprentice yet,” Stagshatter explained and pawed at the ground slightly, doing his best not to think about the fact that Thundersnap was only two moons older than him and already had two apprentices, one fully trained and one on her way to her warrior name.
Meanwhile, Stagshatter was just…there.
He took a breath and glanced back at Aspectpetal. ”Who do you think should be leader? I’m sure we’ll have quite a few cats competing. I know Thundersnap is going to.”

Acaciaberry ”Why, death-defyingly beautiful, of course, just like the cat to which they share their name,” Acaciaberry mewed with a light purr of bemusement when Opalheart asked what an acacia flower actually looked like.
She knew that was hardly an answer, but the opportunity had given itself and Acaciaberry was nothing if not an opportunist.
The thick furred calico continued to pad through the fields of flowers, eyes scanning for anything that looked like an acacia to her. ”But, on a more serious note. They’re small, with yellow or white flowers and a fragrant scent. They usually come in clusters, you know, bunches and bundles, in big bushes,” Acaciaberry explained as she looked through the field. They were looking for a bush first and then could check to see if it was an acacia bush.
”You know, as an apprentice, I used to sneak into the meadows all the time looking for acacias, I thought it would be fun to wear them in my fur,” Acaciaberry added and let out a fond snort, shaking her head. ”By the gods though, it was hard to keep up, even if I’m sure I turned quite a few heads of my fellow apprentices that way.”

Opalheart ~ Anoithea's meadow ~ Acaciaberry (𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖) Opal let out a laugh, "Oh you wish," she exclaimed sarcastically. Oh yellow! that's right. she looked around expectantly for a bush of the small flowers. Again, glancing at the sun she realized how much was on the line if they didn't find the flower and get back soon. "Well I found some trampled ones," she mused, "how does dead and trampled represent you, let me think." "I found a bush! she sighed as she realized these flowers were purple not yellow.

Aspectpetal
Camp -|- With Stagshatter (𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 ) Aspectpetal was curious, and a bit embarrassed by what Stagshatter’s reaction might be, but.. feels much more heartfelt- fuzzy feelings at the response she receives. Even if she was confident in her answer, it’s ..- pleasant to hear. She gives a dazzlingly warm smile. Her whiskers twitch as she gave a cherry looke, then a wondering gaze. “Ah.. I did always think that was a bit silly depending on the age of the cat.” She offers, then flicks her tail, head dipping to the side as she gave a smile. “I do, honest, just think the gods always have a special apprentice for every cat, the one you’ll train to be who they’re meant to be. I’ve not had one either yet.” Aspectpetal idly rolls her little token under a paw.And she believes that fully, what being in this clan has taught her, is that many, most, things have a reason. Even if they don’t know it yet. Never know it.She hums, tail lifting, and curling. “I’ve got literally no clue! I’m a better judgement of what will help hold up against weather than dare think of who’s best to lead the clan. There’s.. quite a few options.” The gray molly says.

Peachblossom & Burninglight
at camp | with (open) [tag(s)] Peachblossom and Burninglight were quiet as they entered the camp, though not solemnly. They had had a successful hunting trip, with Burninglight's help, carrying between them three rabbits, all quite healthy looking and of a decent age. Peachblossom had requested Burninglight's help due to her training as a hunter before becoming an entertainer - despite her tiny size, she was a force to be reckoned with and it showed in her lethal hunting skills. Peachblossom had never quite understood why she went with the path of an entertainer. She's always showed prowess as a hunter, and likely would have been one of the best in the clan if she'd stuck with it. Perhaps, though, she believed herself to be lesser, because she was so small. She had always made a good playmate for the growing kits, in the time before their apprenticeship.
Burninglight's voice broke Peachblossom out of their thoughts, and the cream tabby looked up gracefully at their friend as they narrowly avoided tripping over a rock that they hadn't seen.
"Peachblossom, you really need to be more aware when you're in camp. Just because we're safe here doesn't mean we can't find ways to injure ourselves," she molly purred. "I mean honestly, Drifttumble spends more time in the medicine den than he does patrolling. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he was trying to be stuck in there with Puddleheart." Peachblossom joined her in an amused purr, eyes drifting off to the edge of camp where Drifttumble lay eating.

Rainpaw With Fawnpaw | 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖
"Fawnpaw!" Rainpaw hissed, reaching forward and with her scruff now firmly in his jaw, dragged her away from the chasm like a kit, "Get away from there! We're risking getting into trouble as it is, do you want me to tell Stoatchase that his apprentice fell into the chasm? Or tell Whimbrelstep that she lost her daughter?"Rainpaw hated it here. There was something dark about this place... Darker than just the lack of daylight... He still didn't think he heard the rock she drop land yet. Was it still falling? He was afraid of what would happen if it did ever land. Fawnpaw may not be superstitious, but he was. Houndsbane takes apprentices who wander into this cave, and they were trespassing. Prime prey. "We're done here, let's go back."(Now he may be done, but if he has to chase after her lol)

WASPSTREAK - - ★
with [ SWEETRIPPLE ] at [ CAMP ] | 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 Waspstreak truthfully would have felt a blaze of emarassment prickling at his pelt if he was speaking to any other cat that wasn't his own blood. He puffed out his chest slightly, sitting beside the molly and nudging her with his shoulder. Like a proud father, he shrugged. "Who knows, maybe the gods would make an exception for my daughter. You are perfect after all, so you would make a fantastic leader." The fighter mused before he glanced around the camp. His amber eyes glowered towards Windshear, then Thundersnap and finally at Stoatchase. He had a hunch of the sorts that those three would definitely be the competition within the games. Personally, Waspstreak didn't see any of them as a threat. Especially not to his daughter. She would definitely be able to beat all of those cats. Yeah, absolutely.
When Sweetripple mentioned him putting himself in the running, his shoulders lifted ever so slightly, a slight feeling of uncertainty. Did she really think he'd make even half the leader that she proclaimed he would? With a mere huff, he turned his attention back to the calico molly entertainer. "I don't think I am," His words seemed hesitant. His daughter was very good at persuading him with even the slightest hint of, well, anything. Amber eyes shifted to stare at the nest again and a frown made its way onto his maw, eyebrows furrowed. "I can be all of those things, sure, but I do not know about being a leader. Would others truly listen to me? I don't have many paws in my corner, even if you were in it." He eventually added. It wasn't that the thought of making the clan become something greater wasn't an appealing idea, because it was. But Waspstreak avoided many of the cats around him, except his daughter and occasionally his sisters and their kits.
"I may talk to Hornetflower and Beedance, see if they are planning to as well. But, really, if you believe I could, maybe I will. Would you like to go for a walk with me to find some sort of token?" Waspstreak eventually mused, standing to his paws as he looked at the young entertainer once again, eyes showing a mix of thoughts and emotions. A walk was nice, maybe he'd find a clear sign that he should decide, that he would make a good leader like Sweetripple claimed he would.『• • • ✎ • • •』 WINDSHEAR - - ★
The silver tabby bit his tongue, holding back the challenging comment he felt towards his sister. It was a pity that she had her thoughts regarding her kits decisions to follow a different path. Afterall, he knew Wolfpaw himself wouldn't have been able to be anything other than an entertainer. It was a shame, really, but Windshear was not able to push the molly to be more accepting. He knew his words would only go in one ear and out the other. Stubbornness seemed to run within the family, and Windshear had his fair share of his own stubborn feelings. His green-blue gaze shifted from Smolderdawn to glance back at Wolfpaw, a frown creasing between his eyes and his mouth opening to meow his own thoughts.
Nudging Smolderdawn, the fighter huffed. "By gods, Smolderdawn, don't pester the poor apprentice. I'm sure Wolfpaw's training is going wonderful. After all, all our entertainers are amazing at what they do, much like all the other cats." He mewed in his own dismissive tone. He would always stick up for his family, and he would not back down nor let them be talked to in a poor way- regardless if Smolderdawn was Wolfpaw's mother. Turning his gaze towards Wolfpaw again, the dark tabby sniffed.
"Why don't the three of us go for a walk? Maybe it'll ease your anxieties and get you away from all the busy commotion. What do you say, Wolfpaw? I'm sure your mother wouldn't mind, besides I was hoping to look for a token to add to the nest." Windshear's eyes glittered in thought. His mind started to ponder over his strongest abilities, and whether he should grab a large rock, or think of something deeper. Flicking his tail, he nudging Smolderdawn again. "Let's go!" He waited for no genuine response, instead, turned and beckoned for his sister and his nephew to follow him.『• • • ✎ • • •』
BAYFEATHER - - ★
with [ ORANGESKY ] at [ CAMP ] | 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 Bayfeather was sitting away from most of the cats that conversed and sauntered about, the mollies lips slightly curled in annoyance. She sniffed and rolled her eyes, having little to no interest in these games. Her tail flicked back and forth behind her, almost lashing as she watched- watched as the clan went about their lives and did things normally. Much like Orangesky had mumbled a night after the flood, she was uneased by the fact that so many had resumed normal lives, whereas the hunter couldn't even think about continuing on with her regular hunting patrols. Their leader was gone. Their deputy was gone. And these games that had been announced seem all too soon. It was almost like the clan had not even grieved their loses just yet. With a huff, the calico turned her head with attitude.
The attitude immediately slipped away as soon as Orangesky's mew reached her ears. The hunter looked towards the ginger and white molly, her mind now rushing with thoughts, unsure what to piece together as she stared at the objectively pretty fighter. "Oh, Orangesky, hi." She greeted softly. Bayfeather twitched her whiskers and stood slowly, nodding her head. "Of course. Here, or away from... the abnormality of camp?" Her words lowered, a hint of venom behind her words.
『• • • ✎ • • •』 PUMPKINPAW - - ★
with [ open ] at [ CAMP ] | tag
Much like all the other apprentices, besides a few, Pumpkinpaw was excited beyond words at the thought of the games finally happening. She had dreamed of something like this, seeing all the different abilities of every cat. She was overly observant of conversations as she padded and weaved through clusters of mumbling cats, talking about whether they were joining the games, or just going to watch. The young molly beamed as she watched the cats leave camp, assuming they were going to go grab their tokens to add to the nest. She was, well, beyond excited, if that wasn't obvious enough. The feeling bubbled within her as she bounced around camp, humming whatever song she had heard the entertainers sing before. Even if she wasn't one herself, she still enjoyed it.
Pumpkinpaw eventually stopped by the nest that had been set out and her head dipped, as if to kindly pay her respects to Laurelstar. Pumpkinpaw had never really conversed with the leader, but she still had admired the strong molly when she lived. It was a shame such potential with a leader was gone. After her moment of respect, the brown and white tabby fighter apprentice sniffed around. I wonder where Pikepaw is. Or Vinedclaw. I wonder if Vinedclaw is gonna put 'er own token in. Is there an age limit? I'm hungry, maybe I should eat. Her thoughts wondered over and she slowly sat down, staring around camp with bright eyes as her mind continued its back and forth with her thoughts, not landing on anything specifically, and nothing was pondered on too long. Pumpkinpaw was just being, well, Pumpkinpaw.

Vinedclaw
Vinedclaw, quite frankly, was a tinge surprised that the mornings announcement created so much buzz, and excitement. Her ear swiveled to hear the apprentices chatter on and on, all insisting their own mentors oughta join. Vinedclaw is still.. a bit shaken, honestly. The only deputy and leader she’d ever known, passed only two days ago, carried by the River cat, down to where they’re to rest.
Vinedclaw barely avoided the sudden onslaught of water, a few torn claws in the process.
Vinedclaw supposed she would miss them, it was Laurelstar who bestowed her the name she carries, and the apprentice she teaches. Fignose, the only deputy she’d ever known.. she can remember their voice so clearly, at times, and other moments, not at all. Her first patrol without Thundersnap, or someone to keep an eye on her whilst he was busy. All Fignose. Well, she supposes that means people will be eager for the games then. She’s excited to watch, even if it’ll certainly be hectic, all these cats bounding off to find tokens and trinkets. Vinedclaw is too young herself, to compete, and she isn’t really looking to. While she does have an apprentice, she’s likely still just plainly too young.
Perhaps she’ll help with the parts of camp that were ravaged, and see what the entertainers were up to. She did have a few ideas for this event, if they’d like to listen.
Many, many flowers and sticks. And some vocals.
As she’d considered heading towards the entertainers, she redirected herself. Vinedclaw has something a bit more important to do for today, and blinks, gazing with green eyes before landing on who’d she’d been looking for.
Taking a quick lick of a few specks of dirt off of her paws, she gets onto said paws, and takes a normal pace towards the familiar face of her apprentice. She sat beside her quietly, nudging her head flat against Pumpkinpaw’s shoulder. About the most of physical affection she gives. “Good morning.” She greets in a steady tone. Turning towards the nest. She hums. “It’s a bit odd, thinking we’ll have a new leader and deputy soon.” She starts, before swaying her tail.“I don’t think we have all that much training due today. It’s a bit busy overall.. so I think we’ll help with the restocking around camp some. Tad of memorization today, before we’re busy with the games. Let’s see, how about you lead me around the territory some?”

Thornfang - Outside of camp - Riverlily (𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 )Thornfang was just about to go deeper into MyrtleClan territory, not really caring where he would be going as long as a certain annoying scout wasn't going to follow him, when he saw Riverlily emerging from the camp's entrance behind him. He let out a short huff but a bit of his anger faded, mostly due to relief that it wasn't Paleflame but one of his fellow fighters. "Hey." He greeted flatly but not entirely unwelcoming. While he had been planning on heading out on his own he supposed he didn't mind a bit of company. As long as said company didn't bug him like Paleflame did. So Thornfang turned slightly to better see Riverlily to show that he wasn't too bothered by her presence. As for telling her what he was doing, why not. It wasn't like he was going to keep it secret from his clan mates. Any one who knew him even a little bit wouldn't be surprised that he was going to enter the games, after all. "I'm going to look for a token," he told her. "For the games. And maybe work on some of my moves," he added. "Not that I'll need it but at least the other fighters are no weaklings or fools so it can't hurt to be prepared." Maybe he was going to hunt something too. While he wasn't one of the hunters he still liked to catch some prey every now and then and besides, Puddleheart had said that for the first trial they would be tasked with hunting down a specific animal, though what kind Thornfang didn't know. But either way, it was even more reason for him to get some hunting practice in before the games. Though he didn't mention that part to Riverlily. While it was an open secret that he liked to hunt as a hobby he never said so out loud. So instead he just said, a little reluctantly perhaps for Paleflame's laugh and jibes were still ringing in his ears, "Oh, and sure. You can tag along if you want. Though I doubt me looking for my token will be super interesting to you."

Marigoldskip • Camp • with Pearlfeather (𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 )
Marigoldskip eagerly flicked her fluffy tail, stirring up a few petals on the ground. She was lost in the silkiness of Pearlfeather’s voice, each syllable a note that strummed her heartstrings. The entertainer’s hazel eyes narrowed in contemplation as her partner spoke.
“I dearly hope Goosefreckle has time to spare for the meeting, or else I’ll be next in line to do announcements.” Marigoldskip glanced down at her paws and made a mental note to check up on the eldest entertainer soon. “Then again, we’re all busy with one thing or another, whether it be recovering from the flood or taking care of others. I know you and I have our apprentices to keep track of!” A bright smile painted Marigoldskip’s face as she chuckled regarding Pearlfeather's question on the games.
“Oh, goodness, what a difficult question. I don't think Paleflame is participating, otherwise I’d be rooting for her all the way!” Marigoldskip visualized her normally flirtatious sister competing in tests of leadership to impress a potential mate. But amusedly, she didn't think Palestar would be a good fit for her.
On the other paw… “By the way, has Mothflutter talked to you about retrieving a token for himself?” Marigoldskip asked out of the blue. Pearlfeather’s brother seemed responsible and just. She wouldn’t mind pushing him onward with her fellow entertainers!

Orchidbloom • Camp • with Torrentwing (Sand )
Orchidbloom, drowsy as he was, acknowledged Torrentwing's concern with a passive grunt. Asleep, awake, it wasn't that big of a deal. The tom shielded their eyes from the irritating sunlight that filtered through the den opening as Torrentwing spoke. He was grateful towards the gray tabby for empathizing with his pain, although it didn't feel warranted. The elder tried to step forward, but dread petrified his movements. Orchidbloom - he simply couldn't explore camp. What if areas were still waterlogged? What if he found- the tortoiseshell nearly keeled over as their vision blurred. Why did everything regarding the flood have so make him feel so... so ill? It was becoming more than just a nuisance. Despite their internal struggle, Orchidbloom's sage colored eyes brightened a little with the secondary option. Getting a meal didn't sound like a bad idea. It would provide a chance to catch up on smalltalk with his denmates. Perhaps Soothsight would be there... although the graying tom was well past his prime, he was still Orchidbloom's mentor and one of the most experienced cats in MyrtleClan. The youngest elder would appreciate their company at the very least.

Pikepaw-Cliffs->Beach-Soon to be Thundersnap, Cedarfrost, Vloudpaw(𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖, Pineclaw) The she cat hadn't fully menat to go off so far on her own, but she didn't mind, further from the likes of Rainpaw the better, she just kept note of things she passed so she could have an easier time getting back to the cliffs to meet up with the patrol. So far she had only managed a small scrawny mouse, while it wouldn't do a warrior or an apprentice any good, it might be a good size for Sagekit if he was now eating freshkill, and a small bird. Currently she was determined to try fish up something from the ocean, one of the she cat's ear flicked back in annoyance at the thought as she glared at the water in front of her. She hated the thought of even touching territory belonging to Okeaneos, but she pushed her hate to the side for now determined to get prey for the clan.
Parsleyleap-Leaving Camp-Dustedblack(soot) As the pair moved again they couldn't help a small laugh. "Pretty sure if they let the apprentices join they would be the first ones eliminated, though maybe some of the senior ones like Cloudpaw or Rainpaw would at least make it to the second round," They said. "Mintpaw would probably be eliminated before the first trial even starts if I'm being honest." Not to say they disliked Mintpaw, they just couldn't see the young tom participating let alone making it far, they've seen practices where the tom completely missed times where he was meant to do something cause he got distracted by a leaf.
As Dustedblack talked more about potential tokens, their face lit up at the mention of a feather. "A feather would work splendid, though you have a point there, they do say you'll know your token when you see it," They agreed. "I say let's do the sands first, I'm sure I'll still find festhers there, but you would be able to look into doing a shell, or maybe the caves if you want to look into the crystalline rocks?" The crystalline rocks where starting to sound really interesting the more they thought about it.

Cedarfrost, Cloudpaw - MyrtleClan Territory, near cliffs - Thundersnap ( 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 ), probably close to Pikepaw ( Ember34 ) Cedarfrost nodded in agreement as Thundersnap spoke about checking the beach. He glanced at Cloudpaw to see if she'd have any protests but the apprentice seemed to agree as well, or if she had a problem with it she at least had the good sense to not say it out loud. Maybe she wasn't one of those who were fearful or uneasy about being at the beach, he wasn't one of them either. He kept his eyes and ears open to anything that might be of importance as they continued on their way and while Cloudpaw and Thundersnap briefly made him think about what his token might be he didn't hang onto that thought for long. Wondering what it may be wouldn't be of any use. Like Thundersnap had said, he'd know it when he found it. Cloudpaw let out a soft chuckle at her mentor's words. "So that leaves us all guessing at it, huh. Well, whatever it is, it'd be great if we could find it around here somewhere," she said. "I know it doesn't really matter but it would be pretty neat if you were one of the first to bring their token back to camp." She then sped up slightly as they neared the cliffs but made sure she wouldn't overtake Thundersnap. She could tell Cedarfrost was doing the same and rolled her eyes as he let out a quiet grunt to urge her on, something completely unnecessary in her opinion as she had already begun to walk faster without his prompting.

DustedBlack
Out of camp, heading towards the Beach-|- With Parsleyleap ( Ember34 )
Dustedblack gets a bit of a kick out of even thinking about it really. Especially with how competitive some of the apprentices tend to be. He remembers himself being similarly competitive, especially with his siblings, though most of that was mostly him teasingly saying that he just knew they wouldn’t throw themselves over a chasm like he did.His mentor certainly had a delightful time with Dustedblack.“It’d definitely be a bit of uh, heh, disaster to watch.” He adds, tail lightly grazing his companion in a friendly affection. “The sands? Sounds good to me.”Taking a glance around the grove off in the distance, the tom steers the way, walking along the right side of Parsleyleap. The ground is still littered with a few puddles that that have yet to be reclaimed into the ground, and plenty of sticks, rocks, and leaves drenched, not dried by the sun. Mintpaw would be devastated at all of these waterlogged leaves.Getting to the edges of the ocean didn’t take long, his paws sinking some into the warm sand, which will certainly be fun to clean out later. He scans his entire vision, purring at the amount of things scattered around, much more than when he was here last. He’d actually been at the sands when the flood had happened, scrambling to the highest point he could.Dustedblack sees a few glittering items, and hums. He’s sure there’s gotta be a few feathers around here too. Birds nests that got ruffled from the storm, or from some scouting for prey in the ocean.

Torrentwing camp — accompanied by: Orchidbloom he/him - elder Although Orchidbloom didn't speak, Torrentwing knew his grunt well. At least he had received some sort of response and it was all he could ask for. The flood had left plenty of cats devastated due to the deaths of Laurelstar and Fignose. It affected Orchidbloom the most out of all cats, but that was what Torrentwing believed.
As the tortoiseshell almost keeled over, the grey classic tabby leapt forward albeit awkwardly, to help the former scout. He could see the dread in their sage colored eyes, almost as if Orchidbloom expected to see the flood again. As soon as their eyes brightened a little, Torrentwing smiled back to reassure them. It may not seem like enough progress, but I'll take what I can get, he thought. "I think some of the other elders may be eating or relaxing outside the den," the grey tabby meowed. "Come on, let's try to enjoy our afternoon while we can."
Torrentwing began padding out of the elders' den, but came to a halt to wait for Orchidbloom. He wasn't going to let the former scout hide inside the den any longer. The tortoiseshell could do that later on when the Games started.

Pantherprowl laurel stream — accompanied by: Sablefrost he/him - hunter Pantherprowl let out a mrrow of amusement, nodding in agreement with Sablefrost's comment. "'Course I do!" he meowed with a slight grin. "After all, it's what I trained for."
The black tom knew very well that he and Sablefrost were the only two cats of their family alive. Well, except for his father whom he had never known in his life. Pantherprowl only had Sablefrost now, but when it was him, Silhouettewing, and Sablefrost… life was good. It had been moons since Silhouettewing's death and he would be lying that he didn't miss her. He chose to become a hunter because of his mother. He tried not to dwell on her death too much and preferred to avoid speaking of her. It was too much, too painful to think about Silhouettewing.
"Riverbeds too? I can look there while hunting," the hunter offered, hurrying after his aunt. He quickly ascended upon the riverbeds, his green gaze fixated on finding Sablefrost's token. He moved a bit further away from the black smoke tabby, careful not to disturb the fish in the stream. He noticed some sharp, triangular rocks, but they didn't look like flint to him. "I don't think this is flint," he mewed, pushing the triangle shaped rock onto the riverbed. "But it looks kinda cool, right?"
Instead, he turned his focus to the stream where his skills lied. All he really needed was to catch one fish, but a second or third wouldn't hurt. Pantherprowl crouched down, doing his best to keep his shadow out of the water.

Smolderdawn • Camp • with Windshear (-` gumi ´- .✫ 🐾 ) and Wolfpaw (Ember34 )
Smolderdawn turned a blind, skeptical eye to her apprentice. It seemed the only thing Wolfpaw inherited from his mother was exceptional senses. Shame he preferred to shield them from the world. Instead of reassuring the young tom and heeding Windshear's advice, Smolderdawn only pried into her son's worries. Of course you don't feel fulfilled. This is hardly the right path for you.
“Well darling, if you believe you aren't going to contribute much, a walk sounds fine with me. Come along, do as your uncle says.” The scout replied to Wolfpaw in a more motherly tone, although there were some scathing undernotes. Upon hearing her brother’s interest in the games, Smolderdawn snorted rudely.
“You? A token? Don't make me laugh- between you and Dustedblack, I don't know how the gods will decide with such prowess!”, the stubborn she-cat nearly spat out the last word. Not with fury, but with disbelief that her siblings would get far in the competition. As she hiked up the grassy trail to the edge of camp, Smolderdawn crinkled whiskers twitched.
“So, what place do you want to seek out for your consolation prize?” Leave it to the non-scouts to go on some kind of prophetic quest for greatness. Maybe Wolfpaw isn't the only one who doesn't feel accomplished being subpar.

Wolfpaw perked up at his uncle's praise, a small smile drawing to his face. While he longed to hear those kinds of words from his mother, didn't stop him getting happy hearing his uncle talk highly about entertainers. As despite his current struggles in getting the hang of being one, Pearlfeather was amazing to work with, he was determined to become a good entertainer. Maybe then she will be proud of me? I'll just have to work harder...maybe Pearlfeather would give me more advanced things to do? I just want to make her proud.. He thought to himself that he had intially missed his uncle's offer of a walk. Before he could respond his mother had spoken, her words causing a slight flinch to him. Sure he had said he didn't think he would have a major part in the performance, both just due to thinking they wouldn't give an apprentice barely begun their training something big, but he couldn't help but feel that his blindness would always have them not wanting to give him something important in performances. His mother's words causing new anxties in him to fester, what if he messed up a simple role he was given? Would they just cast him out as an entertainer entirely? Would he just join the elders since he failed at being the one role he should be able to do?
"A walk sounds nice.." he finally answered. Listening for their pawsteps before following after the two warriors. His ears pulled back a bit as he tried to push out his negative thought. He hoped the walk wouldn't be to long, there was the meeting going to happen with the other entertainers, but the young tom choose to keep quiet about it. Hearing them talk about the games, caused the tom to perk up once more. "I think you would both do great in the games. You both are amazing," he said. "It would be great if either of you won. You and Dustedblack are really talented scouts, and Windshear is a great fighter. I think either one of you guys have a good shot of winning." He couldn't help the small bit of hope that formed, that maybe his mother would be happy at his praise.

PUMPKINPAW - - ★
with [ VINEDCLAW ] at [ CAMP - TO MYRTLECLAN TERRITORY ] | soot Pumpkinpaw, much like a lot of the time when it came to her surroundings, wasn't exactly paying attention to the cats around her. So, when Vinedclaw padded up behind her, the fighter apprentice had to blink a few time to take in the words her mentor spoke. Amber eyes stared at the molly for a moment before turning to look at the nest she had been eying. She had overheard Bayfeather say something about how the clan was weird for going back to normal. She didn't exactly agree, since Pumpkinpaw the gods made their decisions for a reason, thus resulting in the flood and the deaths of the leader and deputy. She twitched her whiskers in thought before starting to nod her agreement to her mentors words.
"I 'spose it is a bit odd. But I think the gods have a plan in mind, which is why this is all happening the way it is." Pumpkinpaw eventually mewed, looking back up at Vinedclaw. She didn't allow herself to ponder any further, the sudden disinterest of the leader topic hitting her hard when the warrior mentioned leading her around the territory. Pumpkinpaw's amber eyes glittered brightly. Her hunger fading as well- or maybe just forgotten.
Jumping to her paws, the brown and white tabby had a bounce to her step as she started up the path to the edge of camp. "I think Soothsight might be due for some extra moss and feathers for her nest. Could we go searching for some?" The apprentice asked curiously. She made note that she would also be hunting for some shiny things or a pretty flower or even a pretty feather for the elders nest. It was something she always did when she went out. Pumpkinpaw loved to bring back mini treasures to her great grandmother. And, to Pumpkinpaw's knowledge, Soothsight always loved the gifts and treasures. It never ceased to light up the young mollies day when the trinkets were added to the nest of laid near the others in the elders den.
Pumpkinpaw whisked her tail and bounced out of camp, hoping that her mentor would agree to her quest, seeing as the training would be slow today. She just hoped it'd go her way.

WINDSHEAR - - ★
Windshear felt his pelt grow warm at the praise from Wolfpaw. Sure, the blind tom was an entertainer apprentice, but words from family always remained special. It was family praise, after all. He licked his chest and lifted his head slightly, flicking his tail at her sisters shoulder. "It's nice to hear at least some cat has faith in me, if my own sister doesn't." He teased. He slipped out of camp and tasted the air out of habit, whiskers twitching.
A playful scoff left the fighters mouth before shaking himself out. "I'd love to see the gods choose between us too, and don't forget about yourself. Maybe it's time the three of us had something to compete for again." He mewed, eyes scanning the foliage around them slowly. Windshear wasn't sure what sort of token he was looking for. A rock would be far too common, so what could he grab? He frowned in thought before glancing back at his sister and nephew.
"This token hunt might be a little harder than I thought." He mumbled after a moment. Windshear paused to sniff at a pile of leaves nearby, nosing the green and huffing. "Maybe a leaf carried by the wind. Though, that doesn't show my talents as a fighter, does it?" The tom mewed and huffed. "What do you two think?" He asked curiously, turning back towards the two, taking a few paw steps back to keep his attention on the scout and apprentice.

Vinedclaw
Camp - Leaving to Myrtleclan territory -|- With Pumpkinpaw ( -` gumi ´- .✫ 🐾) Vinedclaw, as unused to the idea of the Games, the event itself and what it implies, and the mourning along with it, feels a happy rise of proudness. Her fur, along the line of her spine, bristles some as she ‘murrps’. “A bit odd, but they always have plans. Everything has a reason behind it, even if it’s where you steer your direction, or place a paw.” She agrees wholeheartedly. Vinedclaw follows Pumpkinpaw, getting to her paws smoothly, her tail slinking behind her, fur rustled some in the wind. She bounds after her bouncy apprentice, ears pricking. “Oh? Yes! How about you take me towards Laurel’s stream. We can gather some moss, and likely some feather through the grove on the way.” Vinedclaw says, thinking of a few places.. there’s been a few nests around. The mentor distinctly remembers seeing one with a few eggs in it, and a mother. She hums, and avoids a small puddle in the entrance they leave from, eyes glittering a bit more cheerily than their first conversation of the day. “Maybe we could bring them some prey, once we get back as well.”

// sneaking sorrel in to join the escort :3 SORRELMIST - - ★
Sorrelmist was beyond amazed at Puddleheart's addressing of the clan. She continuously was envious of her adopted brother, and always appreciated how hard working the young tom was. She sat nearby as he conversed with Heronflight, Honeydusk and Cloverpounce, ears twitching as she listened to the conversation. She knew Puddleheart- he would've avoided having any cat go with him, but it seemed the older cats had got at him, causing him to agree. The idea of an escort sounded fun- even if she was merely an entertainer. Surely she would have a purpose if she were to join, right? He wouldn't say no, would he?
Quickly scrambling to her paws, Sorrelmist bounced over to Puddleheart and Cloverpounce, purring a greeting to the two. "This is so exciting!" She started, eyeing her brother with a warm and proud look before looking at Cloverpounce. "I know I won't exactly be the best paws to keep you safe, Puddleheart, but I figured I could join the escort? Keep you entertained on your journey? Perhaps we could also get one more cat to join us, as well, so there is more cats to protect you, dear brother! Surely a silly story about Synkomithea might brighten the mood as we walk too!" Sorrelmist seemed to ramble, tilting her head as she bounced on her paws, hoping her brother would agree to having another addition to the patrol.
Sorrelmist paused in her words as another set of paw steps approached near by, presumably a cat going to exit camp, turning her head to spot Hyacinthsong approaching. Her eyes grew all the more brighter. Another possible addition to the patrol? Oh she could tell such a good story to so many cats! Sorrelmist just hoped she was joining too. "Hyacinthsong!! You should join us on escorting Puddleheart! The more protection the better, and I'm sure the clan can function without us all, don't you think?" The tabby calico purred excitedly, hoping all would be in agreement as she bounced closer to the exit of camp.
