Burninglight at camp | with Flamedancer [ soot ) ] Burninglight was having a wonderful time, watching her clanmates get ready for the games. She couldn't wait to get them started. She'd been practicing her introduction for Sablefrost for some time now, and was sure she had it down. Ideally, she would not give away the fact that she had, at one time, been very, very infatuated with the other molly. She wasn't entirely sure what had caused it, but it hadn't happened with anyone since, so she assumed it was a 'phase' of sorts.
Yes, Burninglight. Because near-obsession with someone is a 'phase'. Surely that was the only] explanation.
Breaking out of her thoughts, Burninglight turned her head as a fiery pelt caught her eye. Flamedancer was not far from her, looking like she might need some assistance. With a grin, Burninglight trotted happily over to the molly to lend a paw or four, eyes bright with a smile and her tail waving joyfully.
"Hello, Flamedancer! Would you like some assistance with your flower? I'm already finished with mine, so I'm free to help!" Indeed, deep russet and shining gold roiled around her pelt like flames, starting at the bottoms of her paws and flickering their way up over her shoulders, hips, and spine. A singular ember of flame sat on her forehead, just above her eyes. Orange canna and nasturtium crowned her head and wrapped around her two front paws. She looked, frankly, well-suited to her role in the clan as an entertainer in the get-up.
She turned her attention to the snapdragon at Flamedancer's paws, eyeing it with interest. How did Flamedancer want it to sit? Did she want it woven into her fur, or simply stuck to her somehow?

Wavepaw - Camp - OpenWavepaw sat a bit apart from the rest of the clan, half hidden in the shadows but with a clear view on everything that was going on so he wouldn't miss when it was time for everyone to gather. Until then however he was busy getting warmed up for later, when he and the other entertainers would introduce the competitors. Even before he was told who to introduce Wavepaw had already decided on how he would do it. So now he was glancing about, looking at random cats and objects, muttering to himself about what he saw, finding ways to weave them into short stories or small poems. Some funny, some eery and then every now and then even a sad idea or two. Wavepaw laughed to himself. Yes, this was something that came easily to him and he could tell he had gotten much better ever since he began his training. He loved performing for the clan and next to playing different roles simply just improvising was another thing he loved about it. A small part of him wondered how he would do today. He didn't know all that much about Peachblossom, the cat he was supposed to introduced. And he had made it even more difficult for himself by choosing such a way of introducing him. His clanmates would be throwing random words at him and he would have to come up with a way to not only turn them into something coherent but also with something that somehow worked with Peachblossom. Since Wavepaw didn't know what words his clanmates would choose he also didn't have many ways to really prepare himself, aside from his little practice now of getting warmed up for spontaneous stories, poems or songs with any random thing he looked at. But he also wasn't too concerned. He rarely got nervous on stage and was good at quick thinking and at winning over his clanmates with his acting. Not much could go wrong, he just had to make sure to not make it too silly so he wouldn't offend the cat he'd be introducing. He didn't know how sensitive Peachblossom was and how easily offended so he supposed he better play it safe and not get too crazy with his ideas.
(Wavepaw: Hm, I could make it as funny as possible but I don't want to accidentally offend Peachblossom Meanwhile Volestalk: Hahaha, I'll come up with such a great roast for Thornfang that even Paleflame can't hope to surpass)

Flamedancer
Flamedancer had sent a somewhat resigned look to the darkening sky, and the snapdragon down in front of her, lying neatly on the grass. Her tail curls slightly in surprise at someone calling her name, eyes widened for a moment, before breaking into a smile. “Burninglight.” She says in greeting, admiring the entertainers decorations with sparkling eyes.“Oh, you did yourself up well! You look beautiful. We’re almost matching.” She says, with a glance to her own flame like pelt, glistening some in the last rays of Ìliosikieos sunlight. Her and Burninglight have a rather similar pelt, but they look especially matching today. The snapdragon was a choice she made a bit late, but they’re her favorite flower,p, and she wanted to include them somehow.“That would be great.” She accepts the help gratefully. “I wanted to secure this to lay across my spine, if you’re able. Perhaps woven across the fur- whatever you think would look best?” She says, and asks, a slight bit embarrassed. Flamedancer usually enhances her own pelts colors, with bright reds and oranges, and golds similar to Burninglight.
The new.. look is a bit out of her own realm, she still quite likes the white against her fur though. The entertainer who’d done it said it’d stand out from her usual, and fire needs the air to thrive. Flamedancer can’t help but agree.

Vinedclaw
Camp -|- Poppyshine (Ember34) Vinedclaw chattered quietly. Poppyshine is a bit clumsy, isn’t he?
Flicking her tail, she listens to his explanation, “All of that ended with you on the ground.” She says with a very slight bit of amusement. It’s funny how those work, really, events leading to one outcome that most don’t expect. Vinedclaw reassures her friend, “We all meet unfortunate odd fates, I remember when I received my first real scar. I had.. a bit of a rude run in with what I thought was a rabbit.” She says, lifting a paw to push a bit of the fur on her chest away, leading to a long, thin scar being visible.
It’s the only scar she has, besides having received many bruises and scrapes. She’s sure a few left some marks. Not to mention the calluses. Vinedclaw smiles, “Thank you. You look delightful as well.” She replies easily, and with a bit of a mellow cheeriness.
At the mention of her past mentor, she nods “I will be. I think then God’s will choose wisely, if.. maybe oddly, as they seem to do. But I think I oughta cheer Thundersnap on.” She says with a genuine look.
Vinedclaw trusts the God’s, and their medicine cat, to choose wisely. But she’ll be cheering the bengal tom, simply out of respect, and affection. He knows she believes in him, even if he doesn’t become their leader.

Whimbrelstep camp — accompanied by: Furzestomp she/her - hunter Whimbrelstep's blue eyes widened, full of surprise and allure due to Furzestomp's stunning pelt. She was in awe and struggling to listen to what he was saying. She let out a mrrow of amusement, watching him as he moved back and forth. Whimbrelstep carefully stepped forward and touched her cheek to his, trying to avoid the paint on his pelt. It was too gorgeous to be ruined. "You look so handsome! Every color on your pelt was definitely meant for you," she exclaimed with a purr.
Embarrassment and elation filled Whimbrelstep's heart. She was so excited and relieved that the white tom was proud and would support her– just like he had done for many moons. She held still as he fixed her flower crown firmly. "You don't have to contain yourself! I'm so nervous that my paws are trembling. It feels like the earth beneath my paws is going to shake. I haven't had the chance to tell the kits yet, but I did tell Brightpaw," she explained to him rapidly as her heart raced.
Coming to a pause, the brown spotted tabby took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. The excitement and nervousness was becoming a lot for the hunter, but she would never get an opportunity like this ever again. "You're so sweet, my love, I appreciate it. I expect loud cheers from you and the kits!" she meowed, her gaze meeting his. "Enough about me, what have you been up to?"

Pantherprowl camp — accompanied by: Peachblossom he/him - hunter As almost every cat in MyrtleClan was decorated lavishly, Pantherprowl was not. He had let his short fur stay in its usual windswept appearance. He didn't want to dress up for the Games that he couldn't participate in despite Sablefrost's explanation which he understood. He simply didn't like it. As he weaved his way through the crowd, he wondered if one of his few friends were lurking around. Pantherprowl wasn't very sociable, so the fact he had formed some friendships was surprising in itself. In many ways, he was like his aunt for that. Her only "friend" was Cloverpounce, who he spotted speaking to her.
Oh, gods, how embarrassing. How can she not notice the hints that Cloverpounce leaves? he thought as he briefly watched the two she-cats. He would have to tease Sablefrost about her little crush on Cloverpounce later. She definitely needed some help with flirting which Pantherprowl thought he could assist with. He then turned his attention to Peachblossom, hoping to find the feline sooner than later.
He spotted the familiar– well now, the not so familiar pelt of Peachblossom, whose decorations were vivid yet a great contrast to their cream fur. In some ways, Pantherprowl found Peachblossom's decorations to be alluring. He certainly wasn't going to tell them that though. "You look… intriguing," he meowed as he padded up to the hunter, his gaze focused on them. "Who did all of this for you, one of the entertainers?"

Mintpaw carried the bracelet made of solely, only thr best thing in the whole wide universe, leaves. Sure some of the older entertainers had tried to get him to use other materials but why would he do that? Leaves were already perfect, trying to pair them with flowers or shells jaut seemed so wrong, why ruin such a perfect thing! He had already given his father a leaf crown, and it made him so happy when he glanced and saw Furzestomp with it on his head. Spotting the cat he was looking for, his grandfather, Cedarfrost! While he knew Ivypaw had some grievances towards him, mainly cause he said that Cedarfrost was to strict, but Mintpaw thinks he's swell! " Cedarfrost i have a gift for you,,," he shouted, carefully around the object in his mouth, without a care as he quickly made his way over to the older tom. Setting it down on the ground, he looked up at Cedarfrost. " I heard you were going into the games so i made you a good luck bracelet!" His eyes shown with excitement. " I just know you are going to look so cool comapred to the other cats!!"

(Sorry, this became a bit longer than I wanted it to xD) Cedarfrost - Camp - Mintpaw (Ember34 )Cedarfrost was watching his clanmates as he waited for time to pass. Not much longer and the games would finally begin. Laurelstar's nest had filled up with many tokens over the course of the day, showing that plenty of cats were going to participate. And among them no doubt some who were not to be underestimated. Despite that Cedarfrost felt pretty relaxed about it. He didn't worry too much about the competition, getting nervous about it wouldn't be helpful and he wasn't one who lost his nerve easily anyway. He wasn't necessarily playing to win but he would be doing his best and not go easy on his rivals, anything less would be an insult to the other competitors, the clan and the gods. The games were held to determine a new leader so it didn't matter to Cedarfrost if he won or not. If he did turn out to be better than the rest then he supposed he would be able to lead them. And if someone else was deemed worthy instead then he'd gladly accept that. If he was being honest he was actually hoping for that as he didn't really want to lead unless he absolutely had to. As he thought about the games his attention was suddenly demanded by Mintpaw. Cedarfrost turned towards the apprentice when he heard him and waited for him to approach. Out of Whimbrelstep's four kits Mintpaw was the second least troublesome. Not a little menace like Ivypaw and Fawnpaw, though he usually thought that word with at least some affection, and while not as responsible and sensible as Antlerpaw he still seemed to be doing fine in his training as far as he could tell. He had to admit that out of his grandkits he had paid the least attention to Mintpaw's training lately, having kept a closer eye on the mischievous Fawnpaw and Ivypaw, the latter especially as he was training to become a fighter, and Antlerpaw who seemed to make the most of the potential Cedarfrost thought he saw not only in her but in the other three as well. But thanks to that and his own duties he didn't have much opportunity to learn about the entertainers and their practice sessions and so he didn't know if Mintpaw was doing well. All he had to go on was the apprentice's enthusiasm and the fact that Darkwhisper never complained, but then again Cedarfrost didn't know him well and didn't know what he thought. "Hello, Mintpaw," he meowed as the young cat arrived. He looked at the small object Mintpaw had set down and quickly recognized it as a bracelet. Made from leaves, of course. Cedarfrost never understood his excitement for leaves but he couldn't deny that Mintpaw knew how to work with them. The bracelet, despite being only made from leaves, looked well made both in appearance and stability. Cedarfrost turned his gaze back to Mintpaw as he spoke and for a moment the warrior's stoic expression softened a little. It was brief but a fond smile crossed his face, easy to miss by most who weren't close to him. He carefully reached out a paw to the bracelet and pulled it closer. "Thank you, Mintpaw," he said. And then: "You really know how to utilize leaves best, do you?" He wasn't used to just compliment someone on something they did, most of the time when he had nothing to say about it that meant he approved of it. But he knew that many cats wanted or needed more than that to feel encouraged or appreciated and while it still felt awkward to him he tried to at least make an effort with his family. Maybe then he could also extend this to the rest of his clanmates. Someday. For now though he was focusing on getting better at showing the affection he had for his family. And first he would try Mintpaw's gift on. He sat down and carefully grabbed the leaf bracelet and slid it over his left front paw. For a second he looked at it and then nodded. It really didn't look bad with the rest of his decorations: the cornflowers woven into his fur and the blue hyacinth he had stuck behind his right ear. "I appreciate this, really," he told him sincerely. "As for you, I wish you good luck with your performance later. I want to see how you're coming along as an entertainer."

Thornfang, Paleflame - Camp - Open
Thornfang kept watching the nest from a short distance, looking who else would place their token in it. He wanted to know who he was up against so he could better prepare. While only the first trial had been alluded to, with no details given so far, he had no doubt that at some point he'd have to show his strength in skill in combat. A leader couldn't be a weakling after all so to him it made sense that this was something that would be tested as well. And so far most of the competitors fell under the 'weakling' category, or a least compared to him. The only cats he was somewhat worried about were Thundersnap and Cedarfrost. They were no fools and had quite some skills, strength as well. Though Thornfang knew that he was physically stronger than them it didn't guarantee him anything, a good fighter couldn't win with brute strength alone. Both Cedarfrost and Thundersnap knew that and Thornfang had no doubt that he had to be careful if he was to be leader. But anyone else? They had no chance and they were fooling themselves if they really thought they could keep up with him. No, in Thornfang's mind there were only three cats worthy of the title and he was one of them. Yet, he kept watching the nest to see if maybe another worthy cat would try to enter. He had to know who to watch out for. If only he already knew what would be expected of him and the others, then he could really know how good his chances were. Then he could carefully think about each trial and come up with the best way to win as fast and impressive as possible. How he could prove that he really was the best option they had, make them see that he, more than anyone, deserved to lead the clan. When they realized that all of them, with no exceptions, would show him the respect he deserv-
"Oh, Thorny~" a cheerful voice rang across the camp and pulled him out of his thoughts. He turned his head towards the source of that noise and bared his teeth. But of course that didn't stop Paleflame from coming over and sitting down beside him nor did it prevent her from briefly rubbing her head against his. "I didn't know you were back already," she meowed sweetly. "Why didn't you come look for me? You know how much I long for your company." Before he could shove her away or snarl at her she pulled back a little so their pelts were no longer touching. "But I forgive you. Today is a big day, after all, and we're all excited. But tell me, have you found your token?"
Thornfang grunted but nodded. No point in lying about it or ignoring her question. "And no, it's not some chestnut peel," he hissed as she opened her mouth, no doubt to ask just that.
Paleflame just smiled. "That's a shame but I bet what you found is almost as good. Though it probably can't compare to what Thundersnap brought in," she meowed, glancing at the nest as she spoke.
"I guess it is impressive," he conceded. While he was more than happy with his own token, the tooth of a golden jackal from what he could tell, compared to such a direct sign from the gods it was not much. "But just because the gods approve of him doesn't mean he will win," he added, a hint of annoyance in his voice. "While he is relying on their favor alone I actually make sure that I'm ready for the Games."
"Ah, I see. So you weren't just looking for your token earlier? Knowing you you probably got in some training." She looked at him with wide eyes and an impressed smile, though of course there was something mocking in her expression. "But today's the first trial! And you still practiced? Most cats wouldn't want to exhaust themselves before that. But you know what?" She leaned in closer and whispered "I like a cat with good stamina. Someone like that could really... satisfy my needs. My, you really are a cat to my liking, dear Thorny."
Thornfang scooted a little away from her, looking both scandalized and outraged and Paleflame laughed at his expression, clearly pleased with his reaction while he winced at her loud laugh and glanced about nervously, fearing that with that she had drawn the attention of at least some nearby cats. He glared at her and then turned his attention back at Laurelstar's nest, though he doubted many more cats would place something in it. Whatever. It was still the best thing to look at while he was trying to ignore Paleflame. It would still be obvious why he was doing it but at least with some cats he could use the "I just want to see who else is competing"-excuse.

Mothflutter Camp | With Hyacinthsong (𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢) Mothflutter watched in amusement as Hyacinthsong stumbled over her words. He hadn’t seen her like this before and it was a little endearing. Carefully, he sat down and curled his tail—which was also decorated in flowers that were woven into the fluff—over his paws, head tipped to the side as he watched her.
”Well, even if you don’t usually look like this, it’s a good look for you,” Mothflutter told her with an easy smile. “I’m not even sure what flowers these are,” he added, lightly pawing at his tail. ”I think some of them are…poppies?,” he listed unsurely, wrinkling his nose a little.
After a moment, Mothflutter sighed and shrugged, looking up from his tail to focus on Hyacinthsong. ”I guess it doesn’t matter, I’ll take them out later,” he explained and paused slightly when Hyacinthsong confirmed that he didn’t look ridiculous. Mothflutter immediately looked down and pawed at the ground a little. ”Oh, thanks…but it’s okay, being a little ridiculous is part of the charm, right?” he asked, tipping his head as he smirked at her.
When she asked if he knew anyone competing, Mothflutter shrugged, turning his gaze out to the rest of the camp. ”Not super well,” he admitted. ”I’ve spoken to Thundersnap every now and then, and I was there when he found his token, and I believe Archsong is competing as well—she’s Rainpaw’s mother, so I know her too,” he explained and looked back at Hyacinthsong. ”What about you?”

Puddleheart Puddleheart glanced back at Ambrosiadew, head tipped to the side. ”I’m unsure if I would ever recommend copying Pomegranatefur’s teaching methods,” he admitted, wrinkling his nose slightly. ”However, so long as you give your future apprentice breaks, I’m sure it’ll be fine,” he added.
His relationship with Pomegranatefur had been…odd, to say the least. Puddleheart loved his mentor and absorbed all the knowledge she had given him, and despite the stress, Puddleheart wouldn’t want to be any other role in the Clan than the medicine cat. However, Pomegranatefur had also been harsh and cruel in her teachings.
There was little to no room for error, no matter how young he had been or how tired he was and things like breaks, fun, and friends had been completely dismissed. Very few things were ever enough for Pomegranatefur and Puddleheart still wasn’t entirely sure if he was proud or disappointed in him by the time Porthmeíos carried her soul to the Underworld.
Getting a little lost in his thoughts, Puddleheart shook his head to clear it, letting out a soft sigh. ”There’s no point reminiscing about the past now,” he decided and glanced toward Ambrosiadew. ”Thank you for the help, I’ll see you out there with the other entertainers,” he said and offered Ambrosiadew a slight smile.
Then, Puddleheart rolled his shoulders and lifted his head in the air, trying to seem taller and more confident than he was as he padded out of the medicine cat’s den, head now decorated in a flower crown of purple hyacinths and blue gladiolus as he stepped back into camp, watching as the last few bursts of sunlight painted the evening sky.
He still had a minute or so before he would be needed, but Puddleheart made sure to start making his way toward Lightning Rock all the same. It felt wrong going there, he wasn’t the leader, his spot wasn’t supposed to be at the rock. Yet, until the games were over, that’s exactly where he belonged.
However, Puddleheart did pause a little when he walked over there, remembering how he had seen Drifttumble a few minutes before. He looked around again, quickly spotting the much larger tom. He looked at him for a second before changing direction away from Lighting Rock and right to Drifttumble.
Once he got close enough, Puddleheart flicked his tail in greeting and tipped his head to the side. ”Hello Drifttumble,” Puddleheart greeted. ”Are you enjoying the games?”

Thundersnap Camp | With Steelfish (soot) Thundersnap’s eyes remained fixed on Steelfish as he listened to him. Admittedly, he had been hoping for a more excitable reaction than that. Steelfish was calm and reserved by nature, which was a trait Thundersnap found rather endearing.
Still, he couldn’t help but crave more. To see the other tom a little bit flustered, for any proof that Thundersnap had some sort of effect on him. He wanted to impress Steelfish, but that was hard to do when he wasn’t sure what would get that sort of reaction from him.
Thundersnap hummed softly, his gaze softening a little. ”Somehow, Steelfish—“ Thundersnap said his name slowly, precisely, head tilted to the side as he studied him. ”You are still such an enigma to me,” he mused quietly. He wasn’t sure how Steelfish remained so calm in any situation.
Though, then again, perhaps it was more simple than that. Perhaps Steelfish simply wasn’t charmed by Thundersnap the way he hoped.
Thundersnap sighed and shook his head, choosing to focus on the games now as he looked around camp. ”It is a challenge and a test, just as much as it is to honor Laurelstar,” Thundersnap agreed and flicked his tail. ”But we will honor her most of all by ensuring whoever follows in her paw steps is deserving of the title,” he added and sighed. ”Some of the cats participating are acting like it’s simply for fun. How is that honoring Laurelstar’s memory?”
At least MyrtleClan would have a proper leader by the end of this, one who would make Laurelstar proud.
Thundersnap was quite certain of that.

Sablefrost Sablefrost just about melted when Cloverpounce called her ”Darlin,” like that, even though she knew that this was just now Cloverpounce was. Cloverpounce was friendly, she was joyful and boisterous and absolutely intoxicating to be around.
Sablefrost was quite the opposite of that. Quiet, aloof, and unapproachable to most. Maybe that was part of what drew her in with Cloverpounce. She was like the sun, and no matter how much Sablefrost could compare herself to a dark, moonless night, she still couldn’t help but crave the light.
Somehow, Sablefrost managed to collect herself together enough not to be a complete disaster and let out a small, quiet laugh as she looked away. ”I…I guess that’s a fair point,” she agreed and looked up, her mint green eyes scanning over the other cats in the Clan. ”Still, I hope whoever wins is a good fit for leader,” she added and then scoffed lightly. ”Though I hope our medicine cat has a better head on his shoulders than most of the gods do,” she added and wrinkled her nose. ”If it truly ends up being solely up to the gods, we are already doomed.”
Was that blasphemous to say out loud? Probably. However, Sablefrost had never exactly hidden her disdain for the gods. She had yet to he struck down, so Sablefrost was operating under the pretense the gods didn’t care enough about her to listen.

Honeydusk Camp | With Orangesky (𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢) Honeydusk watched as Acaciaberry went off to put her token into Laurelstar’s nest. She was proud of her daughter. Both her daughters were entering the games it seemed, and that made Honeydusk all the more proud.
No matter how far they made it or if they won, she would be proud of them.
However, her attention was brought to a different cat as her granddaughter walked over to her. Honeydusk purred in greeting to Orangesky, quickly taking note of the white daffodil she had brought.
”You’ll look so pretty with this,” Honeydusk told her and smiled at Orangesky, picking up the flower and carefully getting to work weaving it onto her fur, tucked delicately behind her ear. ”You know, if I was younger, I’d be out there competing myself,” Honeydusk mused softly.
She had been a skilled fighter back in the day, and retirement was still something Honeydusk was getting used to. She almost felt guilty, retiring just weeks before the flood, as if she could still be out there, doing more for her Clan as a fighter.
Honeydusk shook her head, not wanting to linger on those thoughts as she finished with the daffodil and let out a purr as she looked Orangesky over. ”There, you’re positively glowing,” she told her with a smile.
However, as Honeydusk looked her granddaughter over, she also couldn’t help but notice that Orangesky seemed a little…distracted and Honeydusk tilted her head to the side curiously. ”Orange, is everything alright?” She asked, the nurturing instinct she felt for all her kin immediately kicking in.

Goosefreckle Goosefreckle quickly got to work, not wasting a second as he decorated his eldest son’s pelt in an array of blue. He painted waves along his side, with just a touch of white paint at the tips to look like sea foam, and added in some darker shades further down, blending it into the natural grays of his pelt and some lighter blue seashell like designs along his cheeks.
Luckily, Rainpaw had gotten his pelt entirely from his father, and Goosefreckle knew exactly how to decorate his fur, as it was so much like his own.
”So I’m having your brother help me with the performance tonight,” Goosefreckle commented idly as he added some finishing touches to Rainpaw’s fur. ”I taught him some dance moves, the same ones I taught you back in the nursery, I figured he might like to help me while I introduce Thundersnap and Rotflower.”
He wished he could introduce Archsong, but apparently he was too biased and he would end up singing a ballad about her that took too long. Which was utterly ridiculous, Goosefreckle could sing for hours about Archsong and it still wouldn’t be long enough.
Still, he wouldn’t argue, he knew that his old apprentice Ambrosiadew would do a fine job and make him proud.
Finally, Goosefreckle was done with the paint and stepped back, his paws absolutely coated in a mixture of blue. ”There!” Goosefreckle purred in pride as he looked at Rainpaw. ”Oh, Rainpaw, you look so handsome! Okeaneos himself would be proud!”

Sagekit - Camp - Archsong (Ember34 )As soon as he had his pebble again Sagekit's scowl vanished immediately and his cheerfulness was back. He quickly placed a paw on it and pulled it closer to him but not before meowing a "Thank you!" to Archsong. He sat up taller when she complimented his decorations and purred delighted, and jumped to his paws at the mention of the upcoming performance. "Yes!" he meowed, nodding eagerly and eyes gleaming in anticipation. "He showed me some dance moves! And he put those flowers in my fur! Oh, I can't wait for our show! It'll be so amazing!"

Sealtooth camp — accompanied by: Thornfang & Paleflame he/him - fighter Sealtooth sat in the camp's clearing, watching Thornfang and Paleflame's interaction. To say the least, it was interesting and bizarre. Mostly due to Paleflame's desperation as she tried to flirt with Thornfang, who wasn't reciprocating. Did Thornfang really need saving? No, but the clan did, especially from Paleflame's questionable desires.
The color point tom rose to his paws and made his way over to the two felines. His pale blue eyes flickered between the two before deciding who he'd speak to first. "Hello Paleflame, Thornfang," he meowed, giving the she-cat a stern look. It wasn't like Sealtooth to be so harsh, but the pale ginger tabby was very forward– much too forward for someone like Thornfang.
With a sharp, insulting tone, he turned to Paleflame, his cream fur bristling on its ends. "Mind finding someone else to bother, Paleflame? I'm sure there's plenty of cats waiting for you somewhere else." He then turned away from her and focused on the fellow fighter, who was only a moon younger than him. Surely he had a chance at winning the Lightning Games. "I heard you're entering the Games, Thornfang. I hope you'll win, you've always proven to be a strong fighter. What did you choose for your token?"

Stagshatter Stagshatter always liked talking to Journeywish. His friend, much like himself, was quiet and not too boisterous. It allowed them to sit together in peace, without worry of having to entertain the other.
Journeywish took his time to answer and Stagshatter patiently listened, nodding in agreement. ”I think my father’s competing,” he commented, glancing toward the nest. He also thought he had seen his sister put something in the nest earlier, but Stagshatter couldn’t be sure. ”I don’t know who else is though,” he added and moved his gaze toward the entertainers stage, head tipped to the side as he flicked his large, tufted ears.
”The entertainers will tell us though,” Stagshatter mused, knowing full well the entertainers would be putting on a performance soon enough to showcase who all the competitors were.
Stagshatter paused slightly, thinking about the entertainers, and after a moment, he spoke up again. ”I wonder if Bluefin decorated himself,” he mused, his mind wandering back to their other friend. Bluefin probably had decorated himself, since he was an entertainer himself, however, Stagshatter hadn’t seen him yet, so he wasn’t sure.
Stagshatter glanced toward Journeywish when the other tom mentioned a walk through the territory. He…he probably could use something like that, and more than that, he knew how much Journeywish enjoyed walking through the territory.
”I’m not tense…at least, no more tense than I usually am,” Stagshatter objected and fidgeted a little with his paws. ”However…it might be good to take a walk at some point,” he agreed and glanced back at Journeywish. ”Perhaps sometime tomorrow we can go for a walk. We could invite Bluefin as well,” he suggested.

Shadowhush Shadowhush tipped her head to the side, listening intently as Sorrelmist talked. It seemed that she would have her paws full tonight with the performance, and for a moment, Shadowhush almost felt guilty taking her away from that just to decorate her silly pelt.
However, that guilt was quickly squashed when Sorrelmist explained how happy she was that Shadowhush was there with her.
Shadowhush let out a soft purr and padded after Sorrelmist. ”I’m happy to be here too,” she answered, beaming at Sorrelmist as she followed her.
Shadowhush jumped forward a little, flicking her tail behind her. ”Can you make me look like a hero of old? You know! The ones all you guys tell stories about!” Shadowhush explained as she smiled at Sorrelmist. She had always loved listening to the entertainer’s stories, especially the ones about heroes.
Most of them ended in tragedy, but Shadowhush was confident real heroes lives would play out differently, and maybe one day, she would prove it by becoming a hero herself.

Fawnpaw Fawnpaw beamed when she realized that both her friend and her brother were going to help her. This was going to be fun.
Immediately she jumped forward and poked her head out of the den to look for the others. ”Okay, so it looks like Puddleheart is already a bit distracted, he’s talking to Drifttumble right now, so I don’t think we’ll have to worry about him after all,” she decided and then swerved to look at Laurelstar’s nest.
It was resting just below Lightning Rock, where the entire camp could see it. This was where it was going to get tricky.
Fawnpaw bent her ears back and tipped her head to the side as she looked over at the nest, humming thoughtfully. ”We’re going to need a distraction,” she realized and turned on her feet to face Flickerpaw and Ivypaw. ”Do you think you two can cause some sort of commotion to keep most of the eyes on you for a minute so I can sneak the skull into Laurelstar’s nest?”
So long as Flickerpaw and Ivypaw kept the others distracted, then Fawnpaw was confident she could make this work.
Before the last light of Íliosikieos fell, she would have his token in the nest do Stoatchase could compete.
They would just have to act fast to make it happen.

Acaciaberry Acaciaberry happily dropped her token into Laurelstar’s nest, taking some time to admire everything else that people had put in. She wasn’t sure what some of them were, like the strange black triangle that smelled strongly of Sablefrost, but she more than recognized Thundersnap’s large, marbled out lightning bolt.
She had to admit, it was just a little intimidating seeing it. She had heard the stories that had already begun to circulate. How Thundersnap stumbled across such a magnificent token and how it almost seemed to be a sign from the gods.
Well, if the gods wanted Thundersnap to win, they’d have to go through her first, because Acaciaberry was going to give it her all.
She turned to leave, content to join Honeydusk and Orangesky again, when she paused, spotting Rotflower a little ways off, trying pitifully to do something with some flowers.
Acaciaberry tilted her head to the side as she watched him. They were the same age and she had been in the nursery and in the apprentice’s den with him. However, as she got older and became a hunter and he became a fighter, the two had drifted apart. Still, seeing him like that, positively miserable, well it tugged at Acaciaberry’s heart.
Lifting her head high, she quickly padded over to him. ”Rotflower, my dear, whatever are you doing?” She questioned and sat down across from him. ”Would you like some help?” She questioned, smiling at him.

Hornetflower at camp | with Beedance [ 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 ] Hornetflower was quite surprised when Beedance nearly ran into her, her eyes widening as her sister launched into a quick succession of questions that left Hornetflower's head spinning. She took a moment to collect herself before she decided to answer the questions. Her eyes gleamed with amusement and mirth.
"To be honest with you, it was less that I decided to be in the games and more that Waspstreak and Bumbledance begged me to enter as well," she purred. "My token was a dried piece of a hornet's nest that I found while I was out walking with Sorrelmist the other day. It seemed like the best option to use as my token. Yes, I did know that Waspstreak was entering as well - were it not for him and Bumbledance, I likely wouldn't be a part of the games." The last bit made her chuckle, tail tip coming to rest on her sister's shoulder lightly. When Beedance nuzzled her shoulder, Hornetflower returned the gesture. A deep purr rumbled low in her chest.
Family meant everything to Hornetflower. While she didn't enjoy competing against her young nephew, she wasn't one to leave Waspstreak to do so on his own. Perhaps one of them might make it as far as the final two competitors - perhaps they might not. While she couldn't be sure of the outcome until it came to pass, Hornetflower was sure of one thing. They couldn't let these games drive them apart. Leader or not, whoever won the games would have earned it, and she was determined to be a most respectful and respectable competitor.

Cloverpounce Camp | With Sablefrost (𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 )
Cloverpounce smiled when she finally got a laugh out of Sablefrost. It was a good sound, when anyone laughed of course, but from someone so stoic, it felt… special. And that was all she was looking for, wasn’t it? Making a cat just a bit happier. “You got a good laugh, Sable,” She purred before listening as the she-cat went on. Then she frowned a bit. ‘Already doomed if its up to the gods?’ For Cloverpounce, her trust in the gods was something as natural as breathing or the twitching of her whiskers. She knew not everyone felt the same, her respect was mainly due to the affinity she had with Mínyeos, but to hear someone so blatantly say something so against them, it was quite odd, to say the least. But she didn’t want to be rude so instead, focused on the other part of the scout’s words. “Well, Puddleheart seems like a right good kid, and he’s been doin’ well so far. Besides, is there really anyone here that would be so awful to have as leader? We’ve got great cats, and from who I saw competing, there are good candidates.” Then she grinned again and prodded Sablefrost with a paw. “I’m lookin’ at one right now, ain’t I?”

Stormshriek
Stormshriek looked up as Fireblaze walked over to him, a small half-smile making it's way onto his maw. It quickly disappeared, but the light in his eyes didn't quite fade. As Fireblaze spoke, Stormshriek glanced back at himself, feeling his ear tips warm at the compliment from his friend. He cast his eyes low as his tail tip came around to flick FIreblaze's shoulder lightly. It was the best he could do at saying 'thank you', but he had to admit it was still progress.
"I'm not one to enjoy flowers as much as the others, if I'm being honest. The extra decoration just feels a bit... much, I suppose? But that's just me. What about you, where is your decoration? Did you need any help getting it applied? I'm not as good as the entertainers are, but I can do my best if you need assistance," he meowed quietly, hesitantly, as though he was nervous Fireblaze would say no. In the back of his mind, he couldn't help but picture what FIreblaze would look like decorated in the paint and flowers, and Stormshriek had to quickly think of something else to cool the warming of his ears and face.
"You normally go with green, yes? Want me to find some flowers for you? They may not be my thing, but I think you'd look quite handsome with some nice gladiolus or carnation. They would contrast well with your fur," he murmured, very nearly under his breath. He wasn't sure helping Fireblaze with his decoration was the healthiest idea in the world, if the sudden spike of his heartbeat was anything to go by, but surely it wouldn't kill him?
Perhaps he should ask Puddleheart later if it was common for a heart rate to increase when discussing weaving flowers into your friend's fur.

Burninglight at camp | with Flamedancer [ soot ] Burninglight smiled with glee at Flamedancer's compliment, giving a small twirl to show off the entirety of her decoration. She nuzzled a blank area of Flamedancer's side thankfully. Turning to the task at hand, Burninglight pondered over the best way to secure the snapdragon to the fiery molly's pelt, 'hmmm'ing aloud.
"We could weave the largest petals into your fur, and the smaller ones we could paint over and make it part of the design they did for you? We could make it look like the snapdragon is part of your fur, rather than sitting on top of it. If you would like that, of course. I think it would look quite wonderful on you, truly! We could be Ìliosikieos daughters looking as bright as we do," she purred. She continued to pad in a circle around the other molly, making sure she knew the best places to wave the flower into her fur and the best pieces to connect to the pain design. "The added paint would be light, of course, to keep attention on the snapdragon and your main design." The more the thought about how the design would turn out, the more she thought Flamedancer would truly look like a child of Ìliosikieos once they were done.
The new look did, indeed, look great on Flamedancer, who Burninglight had often seen wear colors simliar to those she had on. It was a fresh look, new and interesting, and Burninglight couldn't wait to see the final product.

Peachblossom at camp | with Pantherprowl [ sand ] Pantherprowl broke Peachblossom out of their thoughts as he padded up to them and spoke, and they couldn't help but shuffle a paw when he commented on their decoration. Ear tips warming, they shook their head at his question.
"Actually, Drifttumble helped me. He was waiting to speak to Puddleheart, so he offered to get the spots I wasn't able to reach. Sometimes it really does help to have such large toms in the clan," they purred with amusement, eyes gleaming brightly. "Did you decide not to be decorated? If you've changed your mind, I don't mind helping you. I think a nice pale blue or a soft purple would look great against your fur. How about mine, is it... Do you like it?" Not quite sure why their friend's opinion held so much weight to them, Peachblossom held their breath as they waited for his answer.
They hadn't been lying, when they'd suggested the two colors would like nice on his fur. With such a dark, patterned pelt, paler colors would stand out starkly on the tom. It was up to him, though, and Peachblossom wouldn't push if he didn't want to be painted. The decoration was fun, but only if you wanted to do it, and Peachblossom would never force a clanmate into something they didn't want to do.
Would they at the very least attempt to talk a clanmate into doing something stupid just for fun? Well, that was another story entirely. They might be a wonderful listener, which was why they got along so well with cats like Pantherprowl, Sorrelmist, and Sweetripple, but Peachblossom had a wild side of their own as well - if you count jumping from the lowest branch of one tree to another as a 'wild side'.

Flickerpaw Flickerpaw’s mind went into overdrive at the idea of making a distraction. Barely able to stop herself from shifting excitedly from paw to paw, practically bouncing in place. “I’ve got an idea. Should buy you loads of time,” She boasted, before dashing back to her nest. Earlier, when she, Ivypaw, and Antlerpaw had been trying to get their totally legitimate items into the nest, she’d chosen this really cool dark-colored rock. It made sparks when she had hit it against another rock. Which she definitely didn’t spend half the day playing with and singing a whisker a tiny little bit ( and they hoped it would go unnoticed by her mentor and her mother). The sight of those sparks, the tiny flame it could make, made something in her ecstatic. Picking the piece of flint up gently in her jaws, she trotted happily back to the other two, setting it between them and putting her paw on it, arrogant grin on her face. “Ivy and I will go start a fire over there, and uhh…” She gestured vaguely to the other side of camp, and then glanced to Ivypaw. “...Y’know this might work well with some theatrics. Get everyone’s eyes on us. Think you can pretend you got burnt or something?” She knew that when this was done she’d probably get chewed out but really, lectures were so easy to tune out. And this would be just a little fire, and no-one would be actually hurt, so… “We ready?”

Drifttumble at camp | with Puddleheart [ 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 ] Drifttumble shot to his paws as Puddleheart walked towards him, grinning widely. He dipped his head in greeting as the medicine cat spoke, eyes shining brightly.
"Hello, Puddleheart! Yes, I'm enjoying everything quite well so far. How does my paint look?" he asked happily. Whilst waiting for Puddleheart to find a free moment, Drifttumble had convinced a passing entertainer to add paint to his fur. Rivers of a vibrant, oceanic blue wrapped around his body, dotted with small pieces of blue hydrangea like stepping stones across a creek. "Do you think it needs anything extra? I want to make sure it doesn't look bad and I trust your thoughts more than anyone else's," Drifttumble meowed.
The massive tom eyed Puddleheart's flower crown with interest, the soft smile never leaving his face. He dipped his head to brush his nose against Puddleheart's shoulder with a quick, "You look great Pudds! That crown is beautiful," before standing back up to his full height and shaking out his pelt. A few more loosely held petals drifted out and away from him, but over all they held well in his fur. He was quite proud of himself for picking out a flower that both matched and contrasted against the color of the paint he chose, the different shades of blue meshing well together amongst the shades of gray of his coat.

Ambrosiadew
Camp -|- With Puddleheart & Sweetripple ( 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖, 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢)
Ambrosiadew tipped his head to the side in contemplation. He remembers quite plenty how the fellow to head to no damned time after becoming Pomegrantefur’s apprentice. “I’m inclined to agree to that. A stern look and careful words oughta do, hm.” He added, giving a laugh.“You know me, I quite like my down time.” He says, not really sure if the other tom.. does white know anymore, what Ambrosiadew likes. Ambrosiadew has always happily worked, doing what he was asked for, even with the occasion off day.
He never really does use his own breaks, but he’ll certinsky make sure his own apprentice-to-be has time to truly live, unlike what Pomegrantefur had done with Puddleheart.
She, if perhaps unintentionally, mad Puddleheart’s time as a medicine cat much more difficult. Perhaps he can help out, once the games are over.
Or during. Better sooner than later. “You’re welcome, no need for such a thank you, Puddleheart.” He mews softly.Ambrosiadew smiled as he followed the medicine cat out, the tom seeming a tad more confident as they do. He hopes it’ll do him some good, to get used to this, the attention on him, and Ambrosiadew goes on his own way. A small look of mirth on his face as a certain cat intercepts Puddleheart. The entertainer’s meeting was at the stage, as usual, where training, costume and decoration creating, and most things entertainment happened. The orange cat pauses on his way at a familiar sight, a smile lying on his maw, and a chatter to garner his fellow entertainer, and friend, Sweetripple’s attention. She looked downright delightful.“Sweetripple!” He calls, ears swiveling, her direction seemed similar to his own. He bounded a few steps, tail flowing lazily behind him.“Headed to the meeting, yeah? Seems as if we’re one and the same, at timing.” Ambrosiadew says, in a light, cheered tone.

Flamedancer
Flamedancer purred softly in response to the younger cats thanks, her tail flicking lightly. She quirked an ear at the Molly’s humming, ears twitching at the sound. Flamedancer has always had strong legs, and keen ears.
She can hear the crackle of an invisible flame, and the soft sound of a cat’s paws hitting the ground, be it ice, snow, dirt, or grass.
At the explanation, she hums similarly herself before nodding with a smile. “That sounds beautiful. Maybe we could match some, with golden petals?” She suggest as well, “If we look it, we should embrace it, shouldn’t we?” She says with a bright gaze, her tail curling
At that, she nods, “Of course, I think it’ll add something.. more personal. Snapdragons are my favorite.” Flamedancer mews softly, going along with Burninglight to get further decorated, and prepared for the upcoming introduction and games themselves.
She was.. more excited now, oddly enough.

Steelfish
Camp -|- With Thundersnap ( 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖)
Steelfish felt himself get.. confused. His head tilting, and ear flattening. An enigma? What does Thundersnap mean by that? Steelfish has always figured himself a rather plainly open cat, maybe not blunt, but.. an enigma?
The way he said his name so slowly made him want to shuffle his paws. “An.. enigma? Really?” He says, frowning.“I would say I thought I’m rather.. obvious. If not, just ask, really. I don’t know what other silver tom you’re speaking with, with my name, that you consider an enigma.” He says, quirking an ear. He’s always open to questions of his own opinion. Feelings on a matter. As is Thundersnap. He’s only slightly teasing, hints of amusement behind his voice.
He seems oddly distracted as they move on. “Ah, I agree, it’s a test, and for some, probably a challenge for others to try and surpass. Maybe prove some sort of point.” Steelfish says. Now shuffling his paws, trying to rid of nervous, bashful energy.
He does have a somewhat differing opinion, “Somecats offer respect in different ways. Maybe continuing on joyfully is their way of respect? I wouldn’t want everycat.. devastated, and unable to have joy, when I pass.” He offers. As much as he.. does adore Thundernsap- admire, he’s always been quick to offer his own opinion, as he’s mentioned. Even if it does differ.
