skyclan
about
skyclan is the swift clan of the winged cats, usually longfurred with the occasional shortfurred cats. they have either large, feathery wings, or short, strong wings. they know their way around the sky, though their territory is partly a group of tall treetops but they do have to watch out for the well-climbing landclanners.
background
everything started with a cutter (vet, not one that spays/neuters) gave three cats he was treating the wrong medicine. our important is one who came in with an eye pecked by a bird and grew.. wings? her name was sky, and she always loved chasing birds, wishing she could join when they flew away. she and the two other cats, finn and microwave, ran out of the cutterplace quickly. sky was the quickest of them all. they explored until they found an area they all could habit comfortably- a stretch of a forest leading to a beach, with open, beautiful cloudy skies. they decided they will all meet the the next half-moon to discuss what is next. sky flew up, exploring the skies and finding a particularly large treetop. she settled there to rest, and saw how inhabitable it was-it had rutains and covers of leaves and branches, thick enough to sit on and some even wide enough to sleep on. however she settled inside a hole in the tree- and got ready to begin her new life.

territory
skyclan resides in the treetops of landclan's territory, though they got permission to only very reccently. they usually hang around the clouds, catching prey and sometimes resting if they have the time to. their nests are made of leaves, as the main tree or as they call it, "camp tree", has thick, strong leaves. they sleep on the sheltered branches. at times they go on the treetops, just to run around or play-fight on a solid surfance, etc. they usually blend in with the sky, though.
landmarks
skyclan's camp is in the camp tree, an extremely tall tree with thick, strong branches and curtains above curtains of leaves. the leader's den is in a hole at the top of the tree, large enough to shelter a cat. the warriors den is the largest, thickest branch, which is protected by the thick leaf curtains of the tree. (side note: the leaves are like a willow tree but een thick, covering the whole tree without an single cm left seen.) the apprentices den is a thick branch, not too large, but very comfortable. the nursery is a branch deep within the tree, which had been fenced with strong twigs and padded with leaves, the cats not old enough to leap over it. the elder's den is (fragile like them /j) a deep branch, covered with leaves to prevent cracking pads.

camp tree- the tree skyclan cats call home. it has thick, wide branches and extremely thick curtains of leaves all over. it has strong twigs all around and cats have to be careful of them. they might injure a cat.
cloudy nest- a cloud shaped like a rough circle. the cloudy concequences tradition takes place here.
chirping tree- a tree full of bird nests. cats might come here to hunt if they are tired of flying.
trainertop- a wide flatty treetop where apprentices train, usually stalking techniques and battle training.
feather archive- when a cat dies, a feather of the bird they are named after is placed in a hidden hole in the camp tree. if their name has no feather, their favorite item will be put there.
campchirping tree- a tree full of bird nests. cats might come here to hunt if they are tired of flying.

traditions
cloudy consequences- an apprentice who is getting a punishment may get sentenced to a night of sleeping on a cloud. though it may sound cozy, a long time on a cloud will get your fur all soggy. the watcher guards them.
naming- a cat is usually named off what bird their wings are. if their bird type is unidentifiable when it is time to name them, they get a name based off of something in the sky. names that arent bird or sky related are usually ones of outsiders who joined the clan to distinguish them as skyclan isn't too fond of newcomers.
grand meeting- a meeting every full moon, where the most important rituals take place. things such as a warrior ceremony, apprentice ceremony, retiring ceremont etc. will happen here. mates who newly got together may ask to speak and announce their relationship.
