Stromwatcher smiled back at the other tom. "I remember all the games I played with my sisters still so I know that last one is going to be big. Wish me luck then." He turned and called back to Fallenstar and Elmheart. "Everything is clear." Tigerpaw followed Fallenstar, Elmheart, and Wasppaw into the peaceful area of the pond. She laughed a little as The fox kit with them bounded forward and almost tripped over his paws into the pond. He stood back up and shook himself a little. "Whoops." "Well, it sounds like you're all set then," said Glade, sounding slightly amused. Stormwatcher seemed like a decent cat - though he'd already known that. This just added to that feeling, however. Glad padded away from the water, still shaking his paw as he did. It was a bit damp. Maybe after a bit or so, it would feel less like he'd just walked through slime. He could hope. Wasppaw also seemed to be as interested in the pond as his fellow Adoption Center-mate, since he rushed forward too. Only he didn't trip, instead ending up jumping in which quite a large splash. This left Glade with wet paws - again. Elmheart couldn't help a chuckle. Everkit, on the other paw, looked at the pond with interest, but then looked to Stormwatcher, waiting for input. Stormwatcher laughed as Wasppaw plunged into the water. "Glad to see someone else excited about water he commented before turning to Everkit. "Ok Everkit the pond is pretty shallow here at the edge so you should be able to wade around and get used to the feeling of the water and how it moves." He waded into the water to show her before turning to look at Wasppaw. "Do you think you could help me find where the pond gets too deep to stand so that everkit doesn't go to far yet?" Red watched the other cats enter the water a little unsure if he wanted to follow. He could actually already swim but his clumsyness might be a problem. He didn't want to accidentally bump into Everkit and make her fall. He padded over to Elmheart. "Can you swim?" He asked curious. He didn't know Elmheart well but he pretty much talked to anyone he saw all the time. Tigerpaw moved to stand next to Glade, noting his soaking wet paws. "Was it really slimy?" She asked in sympathy. |

Basilwhisker nodded. "It is very sad. We lost two cats that day. It took me a while to be able to move on with life. I just didn't know how to move on without my mentor and the only leader I've ever known." he smiled. "But a moon later I adopted Turtlepaw and I haven't looked back since."

Brindlebriar sat down in the den where Night leader her. Her leg was aching and her mind was racing. "I do plan on staying, hopefully for a long time. Whether these kits accept me or not, I hope to be of some use here in some way. At least for now my milk is still coming through, so the younger kits can feed if they need too." She mewed, settling down. As the medicine cat shifted some herbs in her direction, Brindle happily began to chew their bitter taste and swallowed, ready for a nap. "I dont want to nap for too long, if I do, will you being Jack in here so he isnt cold or hungry?" She asked, concerned about the small kit. |

Everkit carefully placed one, then two paws into the water. She seemed hesitant, but it didn't look like she was complete adverse to water. Wasppaw paddled around until he could stand up and then said to Stormwatcher, "About here, I think?" Everkit was smaller than him, after all. So if he could stand up, Everkit would probably have problems. At least, that was how he was thinking about it. Everkit looke up at Stormwatcher again and asked, "Now what?" Elmheart nodded at the question. "I can. Just not well." He was sitting at the edge of the water, carefully observing the goings on as they occurred, but currently not participating in them in any way. "What about you, Red?" He wasn't sure if the fox cub was just hesitant or whether he couldn't swim at all. "Yes," Glade said, sticking out his tongue. He was only half joking. "Don't like water. It always makes me feel ... wet and nasty." (Apologies for disappearing. Essay crackdown and mod stuff called.  ) |
