 joining page
welcome to sunclan, moonclan, and streamclan: three ancient clans that have inhabited this land for as long as anyone can remember. these three clans have never known peace for very long, living in near constant tension with one another. there is always a conflict or two going on nearly at all times.
self-centered and egotistical, sunclan cats think that they are the best clan of the three. they are not above boasting, and their prideful nature makes them nearly unbearable to the other two clans. like moonclan, these cats have a wide variety with their appearance.
moonclan has always been the more mysterious of the three clans. they are secretive and tend to keep to themselves. it is rare for this clan to join in on a gathering, but when they do, they are a sight to behold. mostly consisting of dark colored cats, they have a wide range of sizes and builds.
streamclan are quick witted and sharp-eyed, there is very little that gets past them. the least versatile to the three clans, streamclan mostly consists of slender and agile cats with short fur, however there are a very rare oddities within the clan. T R A D I T I O N S

❅ true mates
the first leaders of the clans made it so that cats were only allowed be mated if Starclan allowed it, ensuring that their hearts were truly meant for each other. so, whenever a pair wishes to find out if they are what the clan calls "true mates" they journey to the clans sacred spring {in a little cave at the edge of the star cliffs} where the Rosebush lies. the roses on the rosebush will either bloom if the pair are true mates or the petals will fall meaning that they are not true mates. if the roses do bloom, the pair must pick a rose and bring it back with them as proof of their approved bond. if pairs who are not approved of by Starclan mate and are discovered, they are exiled from the clan.
❅ the petaling
the petaling is a ceremony unique to the clan because it is all about celebrating the mated pairs over the moons. this celebration is held every couple of moons in the same spring where the Rosebush is. during the petaling, the approved true mate pairs drink from the spring, who's water is said to bring good health and moons of happy love to those who are mated. after the ceremony portion of the celebration is completed, the petaling pretty much turns into a big feast.

• you may roleplay your own siblings, parents, and kits. you may not, however, roleplay your own mate, crush, mentor or apprentice. it takes away relationship building opportunities with others.
• any and all major plots must be run by me first and should be inclusive.
• all high positions must be relatively active.
• there is a limit on prefixes. only three prefixes, and apprentices cannot have the same prefix within the same clan.
character creation ||
• no character limit. you may make as many characters as you think you can handle.
• all characters must have flaws. no perfect characters
• no unnatural colors or abnormalities like wings or glowing eyes. only realistic please.
• no more than one high position per person per clan, which means no more than three high positions in general.
roleplaying ||
• preferably no one liners. i understand low muse, but please try to keep a two or three sentence minimum so others have something to work off of.
• no powerplaying of any kind unless permission from the other player is given.

S U N C L A N
 sunclan makes their home among the swamps and forests. the cats here feel at home with the soft earth under their feet and the leaves above their heads. Due to the thick canopy of leaves above them, the cats of sunclan are safe from predators above and from bad weather. their dense forest makes it easy for them to escape ground dwelling predators.
wary of outsiders, sunclan prides themselves on their pure clan born blood lines. outsiders are welcomed, but they're often met with the cold shoulder by many of their new clanmates who feel the need to uphold themselves and their clan. sunclan doesn't often meddle when it comes to the other two clans, and they would much prefer if the others stayed out of their business as well. 1. sunclan camp
where the cats of sunclan live. it is well protected at all times with constant rotating watchers.
2. the ancient maple
the oldest tree living in sunclan's territory. sometimes, when the medicine cats feel particularly disconnected from starclan, they will head to the ancient maple in hopes that their ancestors will speak with them. when apprentices become warriors, they spend the night on watch at the maple tree in order to be connected to starclan. ancient legend says that the soul of the founder of sunclan resides within the tree.
3. stone circle
often used as a play area for kits an apprentices. though, due to being close to streamclan's territory, a warrior must always accompany any young ones who go here.
4. boulder pit
as the name suggests, it's an area with smooth surfaced boulders, perfect for relaxing in the sun. it is often a place of conflict between all three clans. moonclan and streamclan believe that the boulder pits add too much territory to sunclan.
5. training log
this is the place where mentor's take their apprentice's for training. with a fallen log, trees, raised land, and swampy texture, this is the perfect place for apprentices to learn a vast majority of their skills.
6. swamp
the center of sunclan's territory.
7. mountains
while not technically part of sunclan's territory, warriors will use the base of the mountains as climbing practice for themselves and their apprentices.
8. flower field
this is where the petaling ceremony is often held during the warmer moons when all of the flowers are bright and lively. the clan will gather here to rejoice in their loved ones and play games from sun up until sun down.
9. rabbit hills
this is the main hunting ground for sunclan cats. due to it being so close to camp, it is easy for warriors to go for a quick hunting trip.

sunclan cats make their camp amongst the shrubbery, using the natural growth for their shelter and protection. upon entering the camp, to the left is a pool of drinking water for the clan while to the right is the sprout grove, where the clan's medicine cat will plant hard to find herbs to grow and harvest.
directly in the middle of the camp is the tall tree where sunclan's leader will make all of their important announcement, lounge, or simply watch the clan from up high. from the highest reaching point, cats can also see above the shrubbery and out into their territory. at night, guards will sit on the top branches and watch for attacks from above.
below the tall tree is the apprentice's den. there is no proper entrance, mostly open with light shrubs covering the den. however, the den is shrouded by thick foliage from behind. to the left of the tall tree is where the medicine cat's den is located. inside, the medicine cat plants a smaller batch of more commonly used herbs.
directly below lies the warrior's den. much more covered than the apprentice's, it is one of the larges den's within the camp. shrubs grow high above it, a make more of an entrance than most of the other den's. to the right of the den lies the shading leaves where cats will go on hot, blustering days to get away from the beating sun.
next to the shading leaves lies the elder's den and the nursery, located in the back of the camp, they are well protected at all times. both dens open up to a secret tunnel that leads out towards rabbit warrens. this tunnel is used only during attacks to get the vulnerable cats out of camp quickly. during attacks, it is guarded heavily by two warriors to prevent any attackers from following, two warriors will also follow the retreating cats out to make sure they are safe.
above the nursery is the prey pile which sits right below the leader's den. sunclan's leader located their den right by the entrance of camp.

moonclan is the clan that is shrouded in mist and surrounded by hills. most of their territory is covered by fogs, making it a natural cover from predators which is their main advantage due to being so in the open and exposed. they consist mostly of dark colored cats. the are the most disliked amongst the three clans.
the least worried about outsiders, moonclan is open to any and all outsiders to wish to join their ranks, which is where their bad reputation towards the other clans come from. believing that their bloodlines are tainted by impure blood, moonclan is like the runt of all the clans, cast out and shunned by all. 1. moonclan camp
moonclan cats make their home within the bottom half of their territory, farthest away from the other two clans.
2. abandoned twoleg cabin
once upon a time, moonclan cats used to share a space with twolegs, who would set food out for the strays around their vacation home. the building has long been abandoned and sits overgrown. occasionally, medicine cats can find some herbs growing around the vicinity. mentors like to use the cabin to train apprentices about fighting in small, cramped spaces, using their surroundings to their advantage.
3. the waterfall
moonclan cats love water more than the rest of the clans, and often enough, the apprentices and younger warriors like to enjoy a relaxing afternoon playing in the water by the waterfall. queens typically like to lounge around the surrounding area during the hotter times of the year, enjoying the gentle spray of water from the falls to cool them down.
4. starclan's rocks
moonclan likes to believe that they are the closest clan to starclan due to their open hearts towards others. whenever a cat has an important question for starclan, they will travel to the rocks at sundown, ask their question, and spend the night under the stars where starclan can watch over them and hopefully send an answer down through their dreams. .
5. odd rock formation
moonclan uses the jagged rocky area as a training ground for apprentices.
6. rope bridge
cats of moonclan use the rope bridge to get to the two different sections of their clan.
7. the moor
an open hunting ground for moonclan, typically filled with rabbits, common prey for the clan.
8. the grove
another hunting ground, more common for squirrels and small birds.
9. the roost
a simple lookout point for moonclan cats to watch over sunclan territory and watch out for incoming attacks or threats. C A M P

moonclan cats make their home amongst the moorclan, enjoying the open air above them, using the surrounding shrubbery to hide them. their main entrance faces towards the rope bridge and the northern part of their territory. immediately to the right is the elders' den with the reflection pool right across. the reflection pool is called such for the nightly reflection of the moon.
above the elders' den is the medicine cat's garden, where they plant and grow harder to find herbs for their ever dwindling supply. across from the garden is the fresh-kill pile, snuggled up against the reflection pool. above the garden, the queen's make their home in the nursery, which is budded up against the medicine cat's den.
the back entrance to moonclan in right next to the medicine cat's den and opens up to the south side of the clan's territory. to the left of the back entrance is the apprentices' den, with the leader's den right below it. a small stream runs through the camp and closes off the left side of the leader's den.
directly down from the leader's den is the meeting stump, where moonclan's leader will host important meets or make announcements. and below the stump is where the warriors make their home. |

streamclan cats make their home amongst the streams and rivers. due to their short fur and agile bodies, they are quick swimmers and use the water around their territory to their advantage. due to having the least coverage within their clan, streamclan cats are the most vulnerable to attacks and predators.
indifferent to outsiders, they tend to stick amongst themselves and let few in, however it is not uncommon to see a cat of a different kind mingling amongst them. it takes great persuasion to allow an outsider in, and when they are, they are heavily watched for a long time. T E R R I T O R Y

1. streamclan camp
streamclan makes their home in the heart of their territory, surrounding by water in every direction. this tends to ward off natural predators.
2. thick shrubs
often used by medicine cats, the thick shrubs can hide some important herbs. other than the medicine cats, very few cats have use for the shrubs.
3. old train car
the train car has been there since the eldest elder was a kitten. it is often used as a safe house of sorts for the queens, kits and elders during attacks.
4. marshes
a hunting ground for streamclan, this is where they hunt most of their watery based foods, most of which are some sorts of fish.
5. stepping stones
naturally formed stones, streamclan cats used them to cross their territory towards sunclan. they often use them to get to sunclan when they fight over the stone circle.
6. forest
streamclan only has a small section of forest where they would hunt for their lesser common foods such as squirrels, small birds, and mice. they use this small section of forest for climbing practice for their apprentices as well.
7. willow grove
a serene part of their territory, the grove is mostly used as a training ground. though, on nice days, streamclan cats are known to go and mingle within the grove on their lazier days.
8. log bridge
a fallen log from an old tree that streamclan cats use to cross into moonclan territory. it is the only way for the clan to get to the great tree during the full moon clan meetings. the tree is located dead in the center of the three clans, however with all the water, the only way for streamclan to get there is by using the log bridge.
9. rocky shore
the only true barrier between streamclan's territory and where moonlan's waterfall is. C A M P

streamclan cats make their home in the dead center of their territory, surrounded on all sides by water. the front entrance is located by the marshes, where the water thins out and allows for travel in and out of the heart of their territory. to the left of the entrance is the apprentices' den, with the nursery on the right of the entrance. this makes for a safe exit during attacks, as it is the furthest from the other two clans.
a river runs directly through the heart of camp, isolating the nursery and the apprentices' den from the rest of camp. in order to cross, there is a large bolder in the middle of the river for crossing. to the right of the boulder on the opposite side of camp is where the elders' den is. following the path down, you will come across the warriors den with the leader's den right across.
snuggled up against the leader's den is the blooming tallrock where the leader will make all announcements and hold all meetings. next to the leader's den and the tall rock is the back entrance that leads out toward the water and where most attacks will come from. across from the leader's den is where the medicine cat resides |

Or can anybody make some starters?)) anyone can put starters up if they want to! i meant to make some but i've been so busy at work that i hadn't had time. currently tension is high between the three clans, especially sunclan vs the other two and there have been multiple border squirmishes. other than that, it's free roam wherever anyone wants to start! |

Snakestar laid on one of the tree branches as he watches his clanmates either mingle around camp or make their way out. Currently, he was planning his next move on Moonclan and Streamclan. He wanted to do something big that would leave either one or both clans scrambling to recover.

The StreamClan medicine cat had woken early that morning. Her supplies had been running low and she knew she’d have to get out of camp to go and collect more. When she set out, the sun was barely rising over the horizon and a majority of her clan mates were still tucked away in their nests.
She headed for one of her known patches of chervil, hoping to restore her stock of the helpful plant. The juice helped with infected wounds, and chewing them helped with bellyaches. Flowerstep knew it was a plant that was always good to have on-paw just in case.
Flowerstep found the sweetly scented plants and began picking leaves, resting them on the ground beside her so she could wrap them up neatly before taking them back to camp. Her ears flicked at the sound of a mouse digging around nearby and the medicine cat’s stomach growled. “Hmm… I could stop to hunt a little,” she mumbled to herself as her nose caught the warm scent of mouse.
