The Clan Story
"Our Story is as told..."
"Alright now little ones, let's all quiet ourselves so that we may hear the story of our beginning." The elderly feline rose carefully from her position, her raspy voice somehow echoing as she settled the crowd around her. The crowd was made up of more than just kits and apprentices, it appeared as though the entire clan was more than happy to sit at her feet and listen to the story she wove. This would not be the first time many of the listeners had heard the tale, but it felt just as enthralling as any time before.
Many Moons ago, a young she-cat found her way to this land via many trying obstacles. She was no ordinary rogue, but a Clanborn Warrior desperate to recreate the life she had unfortunately had to leave behind.The twolegs had come for their lands and there was nothing they could do but flee. They should have seen it coming. The monsters had appeared as if by magic, but they had hardly caused a disturbance at their arrival. Despite their towering appearances and devastating-looking jaws, these monsters seemed to just sit.
The clan had become complacent with the monsters looming so close by that they were not prepared for the days that the monsters would roar to life with twolegs in their belly's. They tore down trees, causing the clan to flee. Their home literally falling to pieces before their very eyes. Many cats were killed in the fleeing, either trambled by their brothern or regretfully harmed by the monsters. Our founder, Sawgrassstar, was merely a young warrior at the time. Desperate to protect her family, she fought tooth and nail to rescue who she could, but it was all for naught. Suddenly, if the clansmen weren't being killed by their own or by the monsters, they were captured in metal cages. Young and old were taken away. Sawgrassstar saw no way to save her people and so she decided to collect those who had escaped, as few as it was, and head as far south-west as they could manage.
Many long days and nights followed them as they fled, but before they could ultimately give up, they came across these magnificent lands we now call home. Tired and hungry, they chose to rest here and essentially, the rest is history. Sawgrassstar, still young, had proven to the remaining few that she was more than strong and brave enough to lead them into the future and thus, Sawgrassclan was born with Sawgrassstar as their leader.
"Now, many moons later - and generations later - we still stand. Even I, as elderly as I am, am merely just another storyteller. Our brave Sawgrassstar - for which we are named - did her ancestors proud by putting down a strong foundation so that we may continue on. Even, when some of us are still too young to remember her or the earliest of days. Thank you, Sawgrassstar and may Starclan be good to you." The elderly feline sounded tired now, at the end of her tale. In unison, before the feline shoed everyone off to bed, the gathered crowd murmured a thanks, "Thank you, Sawgrassstar. May Starclan be good." |

Our Home
"The Everglades is a two-million-acre wetland ecosystem that reaches from central Florida, near Orlando, all the way south to Florida Bay. During the wet season, Lake Okeechobee overflows, releasing water into a very slow moving, shallow river dominated by sawgrass marsh--dubbed the "river of grass."
Welcome to the Everglades. Sawgrassclan lives in the Florida Everglades. With tons of water, the conditions of the ecosystem they inhabit is perfect for the cats of Sawgrassclan. Sawgrassclan lives alone the coast of the "river of grass" and their main source of food is fish and frogs. The coast flows into a small patch of forest where their camp is kept, hidden and protected by a thick layer of Cattail plants, rushes, and common reed.
- Leaders Den ;; a Swamp Mahogany Tree toward the back of the Camp. Hollowed bottom part of the trunk and roots make the den of the leader, where a nest of feathers, wetland flowers, and cumbungi and other wetland plants. Low hanging branches make a great place for the leader to address the clan. - Medicine Cats Den ;; right beside the tree that makes the leaders den is a low to the ground lignum, a tree with a big head of leaves, almost bush-like. The leaves are close enough to the ground to make a wonderful shelter. Herbs are set on branches and in crevices in the wood of the Swamp Mahogany Tree, as it is touching the medicine cat's den.
- Warriors Den ;; A large patch of spike rushes make up the Warriors den. The warrior's den is a cat-made den of large pieces of bark from trees and small branches that are woven together around the Spike Rushes.
- Apprentices Den ;; A relatively large clump of paperbarks, which isn't normal, but the cats don't know that, with a hollow center, makes for a perfect den. A little hard to get in and out of without making too much noise, it's the perfect place to keep apprentices, especially the ones who like to try and sneak out.
- Nursery ;; The Queens and kits stay in a den of Ferns, historically known by all clans to effectively protect Queens and kits.
- Elders Den ;; also a den of ferns, this den also has a collection of Cattail plants around it and a small moat around most of the den, except for the entrance.

Coaststar is a clanborn warrior. Nothing too memorable about her kithood, but from the moment she became an apprentice she has shown exemplary leadership skills, determination, and strength. Coaststar is a calico warrior and looks almost nothing like her siblings, save for the piercing green eyes she shares with both of them. She's a very proud Leader, not so much of herself but of her clan as a whole. She is ultimately the embodiment of what a leader should be. That doesn't mean, however, that she isn't also incredibly lonely. Besides reaching her goal of being the leader of her clan, she does hope to someday also be a mother to her own kits.

Orchid || 65 moons || she/her || Gustpaw
A former loner, Orchid joined the clan after the former medicine cat died. She was found on Sawgrassclan territory, and taken in after she told them she could help, but Orchid decided to keep her name. She is a short-haired sleek orange she-cat with a little shading around her muzzle, paws, and tail tip. Orchid is a little sarcastic, but everycat knows that her soft spot is with Gustpaw. Orchid worked very hard to save his life, and an unexpected friendship blossomed out of it.

Medicine Cat Apprentice

Gustpaw was a sickly kit and few believed he would live past kithood. He thus spent a lot of his kithood with the medicine cat and grew close and even as his health improved, he still found himself closely learning from the Medicine cat and was incredibly excited when announced the next medicine cat apprentice. Very intelligent and proud of his position. He enjoys helping others and is very attentive. Gustpaw is a grey and white tom, his coat mostly a dark blue-grey, with her front paws, left ear, belly, and chest white. He has dark blue eyes, never having had changed from kithood. Appears to be unhealthily skinny and is prone to colds, but otherwise he's a happy and healthy feline.

Tends to lean toward the arrogant side which is really the only difference between him and his sister Coaststar. Panthergrowl is a very dark brown tom, with lighter brown tips of his ears and a tuft on his chest. He also has vibrant greene eyes

The shyer of her siblings, even in Kithood this clanborn warrior kept to herself. Not necessarily against relationships with others, she just doesn't see the point. Loves her siblings and her clan, but not at the sacrifice of her own livelihood. She is, however, the strongest of her siblings and prides herself on her fighting abilities. Whisproar is the darkest brown of her siblings with only a whisp of a golden brown tuft on her chest. Whisproar has bright green eyes.

Rosewing was born a housecat, however he joined the clan when he was around 14 moons because his twolegs took him on a trip with them, he got lost, and ended up stumbling across the territory. He's a cream colorpoint tom with blue eyes, named after the roseate spoonbill due to a very slight pink tint to his fur. He's very analytical, having developed a friendly and charismatic persona to mitigate the fact that he was born an outsider, and doesn't know the clan culture as well. He's very patient, and doesn't get angry easily. (ref)

was a former loner that was taken in at a young age after her known family was killed by alligators. She has lived in the clan ever since. She is graceful and looks like a Bengal cat with hazel eyes. She is a sweet she cat who loves to help others. When she was an apprentice she always used to keep the kits entertained for the queens. She will protect those she loves at any cost but can do stuff repulsively.

Ploverpelt was born into the clan, and has had a pretty average life. Ploverpelt has short cream colored fur, with a white underbelly and some darking coloring around his neck and on his head. He also has amber eyes. He can be quite impatient, tapping his paws or flicking his tail. He can be fiercely protective of his family and clanmates.

Algaespeckle || 28 moons || she/her|| Apprentice
Algaespleckle was born into the clan. She has medium-length grey fur with white socks and light grey speckles. She has green eyes. Algaespeckle can be a little nosy, and she loves to know what the gossip is around the clan. This doesn't stop her from being a good clanmate, and Algaeheart won't stop to fight off an alligator if need be.

Aphidshell is a small black she-cat with green eyes and a "rusted" pelt. Aphidshell is known for being very good at teaching, although she tends to scare most younger cats. She used to be very bubbly as an adolescent, but she briefly left the clan as a young adult, and a lot happened, causing her to come back a couple of years ago. She tends to be pretty quiet.. She has always been a "strange" cat, although now that her demeanor is different it's much more noticeable. She can be judgemental at times.

An ordinary Clan-born warrior, Emberheart is a black-furred tom with amber eyes, white tail tip and white left front paw. He is a loyal and thoughtful warrior who tries his best to put on a calm attitude. He likes to blend into the background for most of the time, but sometimes his stubbornness would betray his tendency to stay unseen.

Ibiscry was born into the clan and was a typical kit for the most part, nothing distinct happening throughout the first part of their apprenticeship either. When they were 12 moons old though they had an accident, slipping off an edge into a ditch and landing awkwardly on their back left leg, breaking it in the process. The rocovery process was long and painfully slow, her training being put on hold until she was fully healed and cleared by the medicine cat and so the molly being made a warrior late because of it/ Not wanting to let this stop her though she has always trained and fought her hardest to be the best possible warrior she can for her clan, depsite the small but permanent limp she has from her injury. She has a thin but well muscled body with long white claws and white whiskers and a pink nose. Their fur is a snow lynx roseatte coloration with distinctive bright blue eyes. Known for being an early riser and one of the last to return for the night, this molly is always out and about, returning to camp for a rest normally twice a day. The rest of her time is spent hunting, patrolling, and training, always keeping an eye out for her clan and rarely ever returning to camp empty jawed, even if all they bring back is a single small mouse.

This feline hasn't really made any big strides in life so far as of yet, simply doing as needed and making it through each day. They have a smaller body with longer legs and narrow but tall ears; as well as a very short bobbed tail and the only length to their fur being a bit of fluff on their tail and back end. Their fur is tortoiseshell patterned with only their front right paw being white, their whiskers being long and white as well while their claws, nose, and paw pads are black. They have pale yellow eyes and with a slender build, powerful long legs, and a slight webbing between their toes, this cat is a gifted swimmer. While being great at swimming and also greatly enjoying the activity, this feline is very nervous in almost every other aspect of their life. Most of the time they are jumpy and nervous, easily frightened, and will stumble over both their paws and words.

Egretpaw was born into Sawgrassclan. Nothing in his life so far has been very notable so far. Egretpaw is a black tom with a pink nose. He has yellow eyes. Egretpaw loves to take risks, and he loves to explore. Often he has been scolded for sneaking out of camp because 'we don't sneak out of camp at night!' or 'Don't chase the alligator because you want to see where it lives. Come back here!' Although he might seem to have cleaned out the elder's den more than he has trained, but he is a pretty good hunter.

Clan-born, small tortoiseshell she-cat with bright green eyes. She is an outgoing and curious molly, sometimes coming across as too lively. She is often too bold and runs into trouble as an apprentice due to this trait. Overall, she is a better fighter than hunter, but she is reluctant to admit it.

Nothing really worth noting about his past— he’s a basic clanborn cat.

She's much calmer than her brother, although she's prone to worrying about things. She's relatively mature for her age, and likes listening to the warriors talk about clan news/matters.

Hasn't done anything to stand out yet but is ready to be made an apprentice and to be able to get out and prove themself. Small tom with short white fur that has large brown splotches all across it. He has white whiskers and claws, a bright pink nose and paw pads, and bright forest green eyes. This tom is very proud of his heritage and of his clan. Fiercely protective of his siblings and steadfast in his morals, this tom knows what he wants in life and will do what it takes to get there. And what is that? To become a strong and courageous warrior that can protect both his clan and his family from harm.

Ceremonies
Many, if not all, of the Ceremonies performed by Sawgrassclan are or resemble that of the original four clans as the way we create new warriors is a multi-universal experience.
In No Particular Order: - To Become a Warrior ;; Apprenticeship's usually begin around 6 moons and last for another 6 moons. Not all cats will become warriors in those 6 months, it may take less time or more. Ultimately, it is up their mentors to recommend them becoming warriors for the leader to even consider it. Typically, to prove to their mentors that they are ready they will undergo a Warrior Assessment. In rare cases, circumstances may show leadership that an apprentice is ready and then that is when they will be made into a warrior.Leader: I, Coaststar , leader of SawgrassClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn.Leader: (Apprentice), do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?Apprentice: I do.Leader: Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. (Apprentice), from this moment on you will be known as (new warrior name). StarClan honors your (virtues), and we welcome you as a full warrior of Sawgrassclan.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- To Become a Apprentice ;; When a Kit reaches the age of 6 moons (on most occasions. sometimes later) they are no longer known by the suffix -kit but now the suffix -paw to announce their journey into warriorhood. The suffix -paw symbolizes the path their paws are now on.The Clan leader calls a Clan meeting to appoint a new apprentice and assign a mentor to them. The following words are used, by tradition: Leader: (Kit), you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as (-paw). Your mentor will be (name of warrior or medicine cat). I hope (name of warrior or medicine cat) will pass down all they know on to you.
The leader calls up the warrior they have chosen as a mentor.
Leader: (Warrior), you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training from (former mentor), and you have shown yourself to be (quality) and (quality). You will be the mentor of (apprentice), and I expect you to pass on all you know to (apprentice).The mentor touches noses with the apprentice, and the Clan greets the new apprentice by calling out their name. After this, the apprentice will usually go greet their family, or go see their mentor.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - To Become the Medicine Cat ;; The apprenticeship of a Medicine Cat lasts much longer than that of a warrior. This cat must possess the knowledge of all available herbs and remedies, as well as the treatment of diseases and injuries. When they reach a satisfactory completion of their training the Medicine and their new colleague/old apprentice travel to Sawgrassclan's sacred place and together they perform the Medicine Cat Ceremony - the only ceremony not performed by the Clan's Leader. Medicine Cat: I, (name), medicine cat of Sawgrassclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/she) has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help (he/she) will serve (his/her) Clan for many moons. (Apprentice), do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?

Medicine Cat: Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. (Apprentice), from this moment you will be known as (new name). StarClan honors your (virtues), and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of Sawgrassclan.The medicine cat rests their muzzle on the apprentice's head, and they lick the mentor's shoulder. When they return to camp they will be presented and greeted as their new name.

- To Become the Deputy ;; The Clan will always have a deputy. This is the second-in-command, the future leader, and respected member of the clan. A new deputy is only ever named in the event of one of the following: death, retirement, exile, or upon promotion to leader. In any event, the deputy must be appointed by Moonhigh that day.The leader calls a Clan meeting, and performs the ceremony by announcing these words: Leader: I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors (or former deputy name) may hear and approve of my choice. - To Become the Leader ;; Upon the promotion of the Deputy by any means, the soon-to-be leader will visit the sacred place alongside their Medicine Cat and present themselves before Starclan to receive their nine lives. In their stillness at the Sacred Place they will have their old life striped from them and nine new lives bestowed upon them by nine members of Starclan, typically including significant cats from their lives but not always.
Life giver: (Touches nose to the top of the new leader's head) With this life, I give you (gift). Use it well (to, in, as, for, etc.) (use of gift). (x9)When all of the lives have been given, normally the previous leader says these words: Previous leader: I hail you by your new name, [original prefix]star. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and StarClan grants you the guardianship of Sawgrassclan. Defend it well; care for young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code; live each life with pride and dignity.After the ritual is complete, they will earn the suffix -star and the authority over Sawgrassclan and are welcome by their new name being chanted by all of Starclan. Those in attendance - the new leader and medicine cat - are not permitted to speak about what occured during this transition of power.

- The Vigil ;; For a new warrior, a vigil is something that they must perform after having received their warrior name. This process consists of staying awake the entire night and guarding the camp in complete silence. (This event is also used to honor a fallen Clanmate. In this instance, a cat stays up all night to honor the memory of their Clanmate.)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Dying Apprentice to Warrior ;; When an apprentice is on the verge of death and has proven themself to be worthy of a warrior name, there is a special ceremony used so that the apprentice may take a warrior name to StarClan.
Leader: I ask my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. [They] have learned the warrior code and given up [their] life in the service of [their] Clan. Let StarClan receive [them] as a warrior. [They] will be known as (new name). Let StarClan receive [them] by the name of (new name).
The leader then touches their nose to the new warrior's head.

- Medicine Cat Apprentice ;; After the Ceremony at home and on the next half moon, the new medicine cat apprentice will accompany their medicine cat mentor to The Sacred place to kneel before Starclan and accept their duties amongst the watchful eyes of the stars.Medicine cat: (Apprentice), is it your wish to enter the mysteries of StarClan as a medicine cat?Apprentice: It is.Medicine cat: Then come forward.Medicine cat: Warriors of StarClan, I present you with this apprentice. They have chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant them your wisdom and insight so that they may understand your ways and heal their Clan in accordance with your will.Following this, they will lead their own prayer and then together the two (medicine cat and apprentice) will rest their eyes and have a dream from Starclan. |

Rules of the Roleplay
Thank you for your interest in Sawgrassclan! Please read the rules thoroughly. You probably already know most of these, but it's better to be safe than sorry so here they are. We cannot wait to roleplay with you!
- General ;; All Forum Rules are applicable.
- Characters ;; As many as you think you can handle (don't take on more than you can chew!). Try to make more Warriors than Elders/Apprentices/Queens/Kits - as of right now all of these types of characters are allowed, just make sure we have enough warriors to protect the weaker of the clan. Please keep everything as realistic as possible (as much as you can be with talking cats!), let's try to keep the gender ration 1:1 or 1:3 at the most, and please no gary-stu/mary-sue's!
- Kindness ;; Be kind to one another, don't kill off characters without prior agreement, and hate the cat not the player! The roleplay's survival requires all of us to remain in harmony. Any issues outside of roleplaying please keep off of our thread!
- Activity ;; Just show up! It doesn't matter how often you're online, just don't leave us hanging!
- Literacy ;; This is a semi-literate roleplay. Paragraphs aren't required, but let's try and keep good spelling and grammar! Thankfully we live in the age of autocorrect so this shouldn't be an issue.

Lichenheart
Waking up - open
Lichenheart got up from her nest, and stretched, yawning as the early morning sunlight filtered into the den. Lichenheart stepped over some of the cats still sleeping, blinking rapidly as her eyes adjusted to the light outside of her warm nest. She couldn't wait to get a little older, so she could move her nest a little closer to the middle of the ring of cats. Already, clan life had begun. Some cats were talking, others were sharing tongues. before they started their day. The lands of Sawgrassclan was so nice at this time of day, when every creature was waking up.
Lichenheart closed her eyes, stretching out her back, then she moved out of the way so other warriors could exit the den. She sat down to groom the bits of her nest out of her pelt. From out of the corner of her eye she saw the nursery, a cozy nest made out of mostly ferns. The kits, Geckokit and Snakekit were probably up by now. Oh hoe much Lichenheart wanted to be a mother. But lots of factors played into that, and the first was getting a mate. None of the cats at Sawgrassclan currently had caught her fancy, but she still had many seasons before it would be too late. And she didn't want kits now, Lichenheart was still young, and she wanted to enjoy it.
By now her pelt was very clean, shining when the sun caught on it. It would soon dry due to the humid air though. The one thing about the morning though was the waiting. Lichenheart didn't really mind waiting, and she could wait for a very long time. But today, she wanted to get out of camp. Maybe go hunting? Hunting with her sister, Bristlemoss was always fun. All she was waiting for was for the patrols to be assigned. After that, you were free to do whatever you wanted, as long as it was to the benefit for the clan. Where is Bristlemoss? Lichenheart had yet to spot the graceful she-cat that was her sister, but she was probably still sleeping, or on the dawn patrol. |

Rosewing
warrior - he/they - 36 moons - in camp with other cats, interactions open
Rosewing had been sent on a hunting patrol during the night. He had intended to go back to his nest and catch up on sleep, but he found that he really wasn't in the mood, as he was still very awake. Since he was feeling productive, perhaps he would go on a different kind of patrol today.He was sitting with a group of a few other warriors, intently listening in on their conversation, although he wasn't too involved, only giving the occasional quip of advice. He groomed one of his paws, pretending that he wasn't invested in the dramatic gossip one of the other warriors was retelling. Although he still would occasionally scan the clearing, keeping mental notes on what was going on around camp. He noticed Lichenheart getting out of the warriors den, so he nodded his head at her in greeting, wanting to be polite. |

Lichenheart nodded back to Rosewing, who was talking with a few of the other warriors. He didn't look very interested. But Lichenheart looked away, still debating. Should she invite them over, or go over there? Lichenheart didn't really want to though, so maybe she should just stay out of it. After all, he was just being polite. But, in the end she did end up inviting the older tom over.
Lichenheart flicked her tail at Rosewing, "Do you want to come over?" She asked. After all, he didn't look too amused with the group he was with. But then, she remembered that he had been up at night hunting, hadn't he? Maybe Rosewing is just tired. Lichenheart really hoped she hadn't just embarrassed herself.

He padded over to Lichenheart, tail raised. As much as the gossip interested him, it was probably a good thing that he left; he didn't want them to know how invested he was... well, perhaps he'll hear someone else retelling the same story later. He was also keen on keeping up with the other cats who weren't clanborn - he felt like he had something in common with them. Lichenheart was no exception, as she was born a loner. "Hey Lichenheart," he spoke, sitting down next to the gray she-cat. "Are you waiting for patrols to be assigned as well?" Rosewing smiled. |

Lichenheart almost sighed with relief when Rosewing got up and padded over, sitting next to her. Lichenheart didn't even know that much about the tom, even though they were around the same age. He had a creamy pelt, and quite honestly, she doubted that Rosewing and Ploverpelt weren't related. Both of their pelts were similar colors, and they could have been brothers from different litters if Rosewing hadn't been a kittypet.
"Oh yes, I am" She said. Wait, was she? Hadn't she been thinking earlier that she would have prefered to go hunting with her sister? The response had just so... automatic that Lichenheart hadn't even thought to think about it. "Well, I'm waiting for them to be assigned so I can go hunting" She clarified. Lichenheart wouldn't mind going on a patrol, but hunting alone or with one other clanmate always would win in her mind. |

"Mm, I see. There was a lot of prey out last night, so hopefully you'll encounter a lot. Although..." Rosewing let out an amused chuckle. "[insert name here] caught a lot of prey during the night patrol... so I can't guarantee that there will be just as much available." He paused for a moment, his ears twitching as he thought. "[name] was in the Eastern part of the territory, kind of near that big patch of yellow orchids. The prey will probably be more plentiful elsewhere." He flicked his tail. "I was planning on taking a border patrol, maybe. I thought that I would be tired after going on the night hunting patrol, but I couldn't get myself to go to sleep. No matter," he smiled, "That just means I'll be extra productive today.

She was trying to fall back asleep; she really was not in the mood to do anything today. She had gone fishing yesterday and she faceplanted into the water at one point. She could swear that her nose was still wet.
Snakekit
kit - she/her - 5 moons - in the nursery, interactions openSnakekit was next to her siblings, in the nursery. Her gaze was focused on a spider on the other side of the nursery. She watched as it made a web, noting how it moved and how it seemed to automatically know the pattern of the web it would make. Interesting... she thought, trying to get some of the unruly fur on her chest to lay flat, although her fur never wanted to cooperate with her. |

busybee Rosewing is talking with Lichenheart (although I assume another character can join in? idk what the etiquette is here about adding people to conversations) He was planning on going on a border patrol once the deputy assigns patrols. (Deputy role isn't given yet so we can just pretend the deputy assigns patrols at some point) Aphidshell & Snakekit r also open!

Ibiscry - Camp - With Lichenheart and Rosewing
The pale furred molly had been up since before dawn, as was usual for her really, and of course she had done her own solo patrol of the border while doing a morning hunt. Returning to camp from her hunt she had a prize of two water voles and a large raven. She moved to the fresh-kill pile as she arrived, keeping the raven and dropping the rest as she looked around for someone to maybe share her breakfast with. Spotting Rosewing and Lichenheart she padded over, flicking her tail in greeting as she dropped her prey. "Hello. Would you two care to share some breakfast with me while we wait for patrols?"
(Only have small windows to respond so just gonna do one character for now or else I'd respond to Snakekit with Crocodilekit)

Geckokit yawned as he got up from his and siblings’ nest. He shook his fur, causing it to fluff up slightly, as his eyes quickly adjusted to the morning light. He noticed that Snakekit was watching a spider in the corner of the nursery. Boring, he thought.
“You guys wanna go play?” he asked Snakekit and Crocodilekit. “It’s too boring in here.” He was itching to run around and explore camp and maybe even pester the older cats. Or maybe he could convince their father to let them join a patrol. That sounded like fun!
