Cinderpelt or any other medicine cat will always be justified in this scenario. It doesn't matter which clan you're in, medicine cats should help each other.

This might be the easiest Justified ever. Cinderpelt was doing her duties as a Medicine Cat. A rank that tends to look past Clan borders. Not to mention, it was just the right thing to do.

Late again sorry life is a struggle right now
With 24 votes for Justified and 1 vote for Unjustified, Cinderpelt is Justified!
Next scenario: Thornclaw: In Darkness Within, Thornclaw starts an argument with Lionblaze. He points out the nepotism throughout ThunderClan’s leadership and accuses Squirrelflight of abandoning ThunderClan after Bramblestar exiled her. He claims that following their leader’s orders is exactly what’s put them in the position they’re in. He decides to leave with several other cats temporarily, leaving his mate, Blossomfall, behind. Was Thornclaw justified in his behavior?

Just gonna point out that Thornclaw leaves and seriously considers leaving forever right after his son died, leaving behind his son’s grieving mother and siblings. Yikes.

i think the people voting "justified" are only thinking about his neopotism callout and not the second part of the scenario, which is him accusing Squilf of abandoning the clan because Brashfur exiled her and then proceeded to abandon his clan + family for awhile because ??? Dude was out of line.

Isn't it implied that he was just partially jealous that Lionblaze got deputyship instead of him? Squirrelflight chose Lionblaze specifically because she needed someone she could trust and had experience, not because he's her son. Yeah the familial relationship between them almost certainly helped but it wasn't the driving force. In any case, Thornclaw was a witness to her being physically assaulted by Ashfur and forcibly exiled, the hell is he blaming her for?
The bare minimum credit I think he can be given is that it's a stressful time for everyone and yeah, there's a bit of a pattern with Firestar's family getting important positions in the Clan, but bringing it up and making things harder for Squirrel and Lion then choosing to leave said Clan and his family? Come on now. He overstepped here.

I doubt Thornclaw's actions could ever be justified, especially considering he did the exact same thing he accused Squirrelflight of, except that while she was exiled by the vengeful Ashfur, he left on his own decision, at a time when his Clanmates might have needed an experienced warrior like him. I also don't think the "nepotism" problem was what drove him to begin this argument, but rather his foolish opinion that he could've done something better if he were TC's leader. Lastly, he chose to leave ThunderClan in such a difficult time, shortly after Stemleaf's death. He decided to leave ThunderClan just because it suited him. If he cared about change in his Clan, he would've left the same time Blossomfall did and joined the rebels.

He’s both. He’s justified for calling out the nepotism. It’s okay if he questions Squirrelflight. But it was wrong for him to leave the clan and his family the way he did.

He's justified for calling out the neoptism out, but he's not justified for being a hypocritic for leaving after he accused Squirrelflight for being disloyal in leaving her clan. So I went with unjustified. If he didn't leave, he'd be justified

Next scenario: Yellowfang: In the comic of Bramblestar’s Storm, Yellowfang reveals to Squirrelflight that she had lied about Squirrelflight being barren in Leafpool’s Wish and tells her that she’s expecting kits. She lied in order to convince Squirrelflight to take in Leafpool’s kits and raise them as her own. Was Yellowfang justified in her lie?

Lying to a woman about her ability to have children is insane levels of cruel and manipulative. Absolutely unjustified and I am 100% positive Squirrelflight would have taken them in even if Yellowfang didn't lie.

I don't think her act could be justified, because she basically lied to Squirrelflight, who probably had high hopes of becoming a mother of her own kits, so she could take in the Three and the prophecy would be fulfilled. Instead of causing her shame, sadness and disappiontment, Yellowfang could have been honest to Squirrelflight, could have explained to her that these kits are important and convinced her to take them in. Most likely Squirrel wouldn't have said "no", since they were her sister's kits. But no, she had to do it StarClan's way, by lying and manipulating cats to make things work the way they want...

Next scenario (not a great one but it is what it is): Leafpool: In Dark River, Leafpool attempts to prevent Jaypaw from telling Cinderpaw that she is Cinderpelt reincarnated, desperate to make sure that Cinderpaw recovers so that she can be a warrior. She scolds Jaypaw several times for trying to explore this discovery. Was Leafpool justified in her behavior?

Next scenario: Wind Runner: In Moth Flight’s Vision, Moth Flight gets distracted by a moth while being scolded by Wind Runner for missing a rabbit. She runs into a Thunderpath, forcing Gorse Fur to save her. Wind Runner snaps and says that WindClan would be better off without her, causing Moth Flight to run away. Was Wind Runner justified in scolding Moth Flight?

Telling your daughter that your/her community is better off without her because she’s kinda clumsy and forgetful is pretty over the top.

I got curious since it's been a few years since I read the book, but here's the scene in case y'all are curious. But anyway, I guess I'll go justified in that Wind Runner was right to scold her, but she went about it in an absolutely horrible way. Telling your own daughter that her Clan would be better off without her is a heinous thing to say. I know they're cats and don't exactly have an understanding of the concept, but telling that to your neurodivergent child is disgusting. I low key wish there was an option for "I agree with some of what they're saying, but not everything" or something, but I suppose that would defeat the purpose of the polling lol

Next scenario: Needlepaw: In Thunder and Shadow, after spending time with Rain and Darktail returns Violetkit, Needlepaw decides that the Kin should join ShadowClan to strengthen them. However, Rowanstar refuses to accept them. Needlepaw insults StarClan and decides to leave ShadowClan to join the Kin, followed by several other apprentices. Was Needlepaw justified in leaving ShadowClan?

Unjustified, especially because her reason for leaving was ultimately about the Kin. She was just as shocked and appalled by how the Kin operated at the gorge as everyone else on the quest was. Her sudden turn around toward devotion to them, and the idea that they would fix her perceived issues with ShadowClan, never made sense to me.

Next scenario: Thunder: In Path of Stars, after Star Flower is kidnapped by Slash’s group, Clear Sky goes to the other leaders for help. When he reaches Thunder, his son refuses to help, stating that he can’t sacrifice prey (Slash’s demand in exchange for returning Star Flower) or risk the lives of his campmates to help Star Flower. Was Thunder justified in his refusal to help Star Flower?

This is an interesting one, because on one hand, yeah, Thunder was under no obligation to help, especially considering the terms. At the same time, though, Star Flower had also been expecting.

Next scenario: Firestar: In Midnight, Cinderpelt receives a vision from StarClan about a tiger leaping from flames, and she interprets it to potentially mean that Brambleclaw and Squirrelpaw together would bring danger to the Clan. Firestar goes to extreme lengths to separate the two cats, causing them great distress as they are constantly in trouble. When the two leave to go on the journey to find Midnight, Firestar feels guilty, and Sandstorm presents the possibility that the vision could have meant the opposite of their initial interpretation. Was Firestar justified in keeping Brambleclaw and Squirrelpaw separated?
