I love how a good chunk of this arc so far has just been the protagonists constantly switching Clans. They're definitely gonna continue this pattern next book when Frostpaw returns to RiverClan.
Tigerstar II bring reasonable for once?? We love to see it. Hopefully he keeps up this behavior cause I'd hate for him to stop once he feels like the Clans are united.
Leafstar... I love you but please believe Frostpaw 😭 I can see where she's coming from but it's truly painful to see her side with Splashtail. That scene at the Moonpool was painful to read and I hope he gets his comeuppance soon. Also thank you Hollyfall for starting where the excerpt ended! I didn't read the leaked PDF and was so confused about what was going on.

Chapter 14: Squirrelstar calls for a Clan meeting, and happily announces she has some good news for once. Nightheart asks Sunbeam if she's okay. His mate, still weary and smelling of mouse bile, grumbles she is. Squirrelstar announces that Waffle has decided to stay in ThunderClan, and the time has come for Spotfur's kits to be apprenticed. Squirrelstar beckons Waffle first, naming him Wafflepaw and assinging Nightheart to be his mentor. Nightheart is surprised, and Squirrelstar says that while he had a rough start, he's proven his loyalty and he's shown his respect, dedication and appreciation of his Clan, and he never fails to help out other cats even when it's inconvenient or hard for him, which are good qualities for mentors. Brambleclaw laughs from the elder's den, calling out that Squirrelstar should know that very well considering that Dustpelt had his work cut out for him mentoring her. Squirrelstar either doesn't hear him, or ignores him. Nightheart and Wafflepaw touch noses, and the Clan cheers Wafflepaw's name.
Shellfur mutters that he's been a warrior longer than Nightheart, and he hasn't gotten an apprentice. Honeyfur agrees, and bets a moon of dawn patrols that Nightheart only got it because he's Firestar's kin (though so are you, Honeyfur). Nightheart wants to hurl himself at Honeyfur for the comment, knowing she's his aunt of all cats too, but instead rolls his eyes. Squirrelstar lashes her tail to stop their complaining, and hisses that Nightheart is building a legacy of his own and the older warriors could perhaps learn something from him. Squirrelstar then assigns Bristlepaw to Bayshine, Graypaw to Finchlight, and Stempaw to Molewhisker. The clan cheers the new names, and Nightheart thinks that a short while ago he hated being in ThunderClan, and now he can't think of any other place he'd rather be. Now he has a mate, and he can be a mentor alongside his sister, and best friend.
Sunbeam congradulates Nightheart. He apologizes that she'll be doing apprentice duties with the much younger cats, and she says it's her own fault for getting caught, commenting that Crowfeather was nicer than she expected about the whole situation. Nightheart is surprised since he's normally crass, but remembers how understanding Crowfeather was when he brought Sunbeam back to ThunderClan. He admits he's surprised Squirrelstar was praising him so highly, and he apologizes that he hasn't been around for her as much as she was for him when he was in ShadowClan, but he's going to make it up to her. Sunbeam assures him it was his duty on behalf of StarClan to leave.
Nightheart and the other new mentors then take their apprentices out for a tour of the territory. Wafflepaw wishes Wasp would come with them, but he acknowledges Wasp wants to leave for the Park. The mentors tour around ThunderClan territory, describing sights and encountering some three-day-old fox scent. Nightheart and Bayshine talk about how twolegs made their camp by cutting stone, fascinating Bristlepaw. Wafflepaw is so eager to learn things, Nightheart is worried he might outshine the other apprentices and how he might even work with cats much younger than he is. After some time, they decide to head back to camp. Bayshine catches Nightheart's eye and asks where to even start with the younger cats. Nightheart thinks about his training sessions with Lilyheart, and has an idea to surprise the apprentices to teach the value of a surprise attack, which goes successfully. Bristlepaw asks if they can take prey to the elders so they can tell them more stories, and Bayshine says it's a good idea. Nightheart thinks he just might get the hang of being a mentor.
As they come back to camp, Nightheart is eager to tell Sunbeam about how happy he is to be a mentor, but sees she looks lost. He asks her what is wrong, sitting down next to her, and she admits she's worried about her family. She almost wishes that she never encountered her parents or brother, so it would be easier not to worry. She says all of them looked scrawny, they lost their ShadowClan scent, and how badly Berryheart is injured. She wants to do something, and Nightheart promises he'll help her, and they'll find it together.

Chapter 15: Sunbeam's punishment is now over, but she can't help still being miserable since she has no idea where her family is. Twigbranch asks if she's glad to be out of prison, her tone playful. Lionblaze, leading the hunting patrol, scents squirrel, and drops into a hunter's crouch, then almost skimmed the ground, surprising Sunbeam for a cat his size, and manages to catch a mouse while driving another towards the two she-cats, where Twigbranch kills it. Sunbeam plans to catch her own mouse, but screws up the killing blow and it scrambles away. She curses, hurtling after it and manages to kill it anyway. Twigbranch says it was a good job, and Lionblaze is impressed. Lionblaze then mutters he scents a storm coming, but as he finishes, rain begins hitting the leaves above them. Twigbranch points out a slanted boulder among the trees, and suggests sheltering there until it clears. Lionblaze leads the way, but he stops and lets yowls surprise as Frostpaw is already there.
Lionblaze demands to know why she's there. Twigbranch tells him to forget that, as they need shelter. Frostpaw apologizes to Lionblaze, since the boulder was the only available shelter close to her. Lionblaze says it's okay, he was just surprised to see her, and she's more than welcome to stay until it clears. Sunbeam asks what she's doing on ThunderClan territory to begin with. Frostpaw explains she was on her way to WindClan, and frustration ebbs her mew as she says she needs to leave now, but can't as the storm gets worse. Sunbeam doubts WindClan would be welcoming to Frostpaw after Harestar supported Splashtail at the last gathering, and the moorland won't protect her from the storm. Frostpaw says she has to risk it, and heads out. Twigbranch suggests they do the same so they're not caught in something worse. Lionblaze grumbles agreement, but they're not leaving their prey behind.
As they come back to camp, Squirrelstar greets them, and she's glad they're back since this is no time to be out of camp. Lionblaze meows that it doesn't seem like it will be an ordinary storm at that. Squirrelstar says she's experienced her share of storms. Squirrelflight tasks Lionblaze and Ivypool to secure all the dens to be secure for the storm. Ivypool orders Sunbeam to ensure the elders are safe and that they stay in their den. Sunbeam does as asked, and when she reaches the elders, she relays Ivypool's orders to them. Thornclaw growls they've seen worse than the current one. Cloudtail nudges Brambleclaw, asking if he remembers the Great Storm. Brambleclaw grunts that he can't forget it. Brightheart looks at the plump squirrel Sunbeam brought for them, and thanks her for it. But Sunbeam's thoughts are caught with what could happen to her family in the poor weather. Sunbeam spots Nightheart in the camp, and leaves the squirrel for the elders as goes to see if he needs help with anything. Nightheart says they can help secure the elders' den first. He notices she looks off, and asks if she's afraid. Sunbeam admits she's afraid for her family, as they're out there and she has no idea what could happen to them as they don't have a Clan to protect them.

Chapter 16: Frostpaw bounds along the lakeshore, feeling the storm getting worse, but keeps on through it. She spots a WindClan patrol as she approaches the border, recognizing Appleshine and Woodsong. Appleshine issues a cold greeting, asking what she wants. Frostpaw says she urgently needs to speak to Harestar and Kestrelflight, but the two sisters just laugh at her. Woodsong asks who she thinks she is, demanding to speak with their leader and medicine cat, and sneers that Frostpaw isn't even a medicine cat. Frostpaw says she doesn't care what Woodsong thinks of her, but she needs to speak to Kestrelflight and Harestar about a serious warning. Appleshine sneers that she's terrified. Woodsong narrows her eyes and says Frostpaw can just tell her. Exhausted, Frostpaw says she suspects their nursery will be hit with a falling tree.
Woodsong says Frostpaw's visions are not real, and Frostpaw herself even said it. Appleshine tells Frostpaw to look at the moor, and if she sees any trees. She answers for Frostpaw, and says she can't see any, so she thinks Frostpaw is making things up. Woodsong tells Frostpaw to mind her business and to go away. The patronizing kindness in Woodsong's tone infuriates Frostpaw, and she says it's serious. She orders them to bring Kestrelflight to her. Appleshine snaps that they don't have to do anything and they'll make her leave. Frostpaw asks if they'll do it on ThunderClan territory where she is, and she can just tell Squirrelstar. Appleshine, suddenly less certain, says she wouldn't dare. Frostpaw says she's a medicine cat and can go where she pleases, and asks if Woodsong or Appleshine plan on dismissing the vision of a medicine cat. Woodsong snorts it won't happen, but Appleshine, her confidence ebbing away, admits it might be worth a report anyway. Appleshine goes to fetch Kestrelflight, asking Woodsong to guard Frostpaw.
Woodsong growls that Frostpaw's in big trouble now since she's bothering Kestrelflight. Frostpaw snaps that they'll be thanking her in due time. Shortly after, Kestrelflight appears with Appleshine. Kestrelflight, in a mix of anger and confusion, asks Frostpaw what she wants since he's wasting valuable time. Woodsong patronizingly recounts Frostpaw's vision, adding it's probably more manipulation. Kestrelflight snaps that he asked Frostpaw, not Woodsong, and asks for Frostpaw's side of the story. Frostpaw says it's true, but she knows what constitutes as a real vision. Kestrelflight isn't entirely convinced, but does concede that kits are the most precious part of the Clan, and he'll arrange for warriors to guard the nursery in case something happens. Woodsong tells Frostpaw to shove off, earning her a glance from Kestelflight. Kestrelflight grumbles he'll handle things from here, and the two sisters head off, Frostpaw glaring at them until they're out of sight.
Kestrelflight asks Frostpaw if there's anything else she needs. She wants to ask about Whistlepaw, but doesn't want to irritate Kestrelflight more, so answers no. Kestrelflight says he'll be off then, and encourages Frostpaw to seek shelter. The two part ways. The rain is coming down so hard that it burns like embers. The ShadowClan camp is too far, so Frostpaw elects to go to the ThunderClan one, and thinks that perhaps she won't have to face the storm alone.

I hope the nursery will be okay 😯 I'm glad Appleshine listened to her at least, this has the potential to go horribly wrong.
Nightheart and Sunbeam are so sweet together. I'm glad they've finally found their footing and they've become one of my favorite couples in the series.

Chapter 17: The sky has turned a somber gray, and Sunbeam is complimenting Nightheart's eyes, noting that they're flame-colored and how they look like fireflies in the darkness. He would appreciate it, but he knows she's saying it to keep her mind off her anxieties. He suspects the wind will the worst enemy they'll face in the storm, and tells Sunbeam to ask Brambleclaw about the Great Storm and how they all escaped the camp through the hollow then. The two of them are working with the apprentices, and Nightheart orders Wafflepaw and Bristlepaw to come with him and for Stempaw and Graypaw to go with Sunbeam. Bristlepaw briefly trips over an overturned stem, but is fine, and the two groups splinter off to find more bramble thickets to reinforce the camp.
Once they're done, Graypaw says he feels like a hedgehog with all the thorns stuck in his fur. Stempaw says he can go out and live like one, and he can find him worms to eat. They bring their bundles of thickets and twigs to the elders' den, where Brackenfur compliments their hard work. Squirrelstar yowls that once the dens are finished, everyone is to stay in their dens until further notice. Before they can though, Bayshine and Finleap arrive with Frostpaw in tow. Squirrelstar asks why she's here, and Frostpaw explains her vision of a tree falling in WindClan's camp. Silence follows, until Sparkpelt comments it seems odd that there would be a tree on WindClan territory. Ivypool asks why she's in ThunderClan then, not WindClan. Frostpaw says she tried, and they were hostile and Kestrelflight didn't seem to take her seriously.
Frostpaw insists WindClan needs help since there will be injured kits. Alderheart asks if it's happened yet. Frostpaw says not yet. Jayfeather scoffs, and says that StarClan has a habit of being vague and visions can be interpreted in a multitude of ways, and says that it could just mean WindClan has a problem with the mediator Tree. Frostpaw insists she knows what it means, and asks Squirrelstar for help. Nightheart declares he can help. Jayfeather objects that it's a big risk to take, considering the storm and Frostpaw is new to interpreting visions. Nightheart says he trusts her and he believes her heart is in the right place. He asks Squirrelstar to let him go help, and if Frostpaw's wrong, then no harm done and he can come right back. Sunbeam offers to go with them as well.
Squirrelstar looks doubtful, but relents, and permits Nightheart and Sunbeam to go. Frostpaw thanks her, and the three cats head off to WindClan.

Chapter 18: Sunbeam is really proud of the way Nightheart offered to help, and the path to WindClan is proving difficult in the storm. As they break out of the woodland and head onto the moor, a claw of lightning cracks across the sky. When the flash ends, she sees a single stunted tree on the horizon above the WindClan camp. Lighting strikes the tree, half of it shears off and tumbling over, soaring into the sky. Frostpaw yowls no, and races to the WindClan camp. It's too late, however, as the tree hurtles to the ground and crashes into the camp, landing on the nursery.
Almost immediately, WindClan warriors, Sunbeam recognizing Hootwhisker and Nightcloud, began attacking the tree to break it apart and get rid of it. Sunbeam thinks that Frostpaw was right. In the midst of the chaos, Whistlepaw frantically yowls Leafkit's name, clawing at the branches. Kestrelflight orders Whistlepaw to come out of there since he's only hurting herself trying to wedge through. Frostpaw, Nightheart and Sunbeam behind her, skids up to Kestrelflight and declares they're here to help. Kestrelflight apologizes for dismissing her warnings. He says when the storm got worse, he started taking her vision seriously and began moving kits out of the nursery, but they didn't get a chance to move Leafkit out before the tree crashed.
Frostpaw asks if Leafkit is dead. Kestrelflight says he doesn't know. Featherpelt is covering up her two remaining kits while Oatclaw yowls for Leafkit's name, promising to get her out. Frostpaw says they'll rescue Leafkit, but they need to rescue Whistlepaw too. Whistlepaw refuses to leave Leafkit behind, as she's her sister. Frostpaw and Kestrelflight convince her to come out, and as she does, she's heavily injured with tufts of fur missing, her pelt crimson. Crowfeather and Heathertail come to assist them, and begin breaking off the branches to try and create an opening and helping Whistlepaw go to the medicine den. After what feels like moons, the cats create an opening to the nursery. Nightheart is about to go himself, but Sunbeam says she will as Nightheart has broader shoulders than she does. Nightheart agrees, but tells her to be careful.
Harestar pulls back the remaining branches for Sunbeam to wedge herself through. She can scarcely see anything, calling Leafkit's name. Leafkit lets out a faint whimper. Sunbeam introduces herself and promises to get her out of here. She gently grabs Leafkit by her scruff and takes care to avoid letting Leafkit get scratched by the branches. She struggles through the wedge and emerges out, where Harestar, Featherpelt, and Oatclaw are waiting. She sets Leafkit down in front of her parents, commenting that she's frightened, but okay. Featherpelt gives Sunbeam a look of gratitude and calls her very brave before fussing all over Leafkit.
Sunbeam says any warrior would have done it. Harestar says not to be modest, but tells Featherpelt to take Leafkit to Kestrelflight to make sure Leafkit's okay. Featherpelt picks up Leafkit to bring her to the medicine den, Oatclaw beside her while the other kits trot beside Oatclaw. Nightheart begins fussing over Sunbeam, saying he was worried, making Sunbeam think that he really cares about her. They head to the medicine cat den, seeing Frostpaw looking over Whistlepaw in concern with Kestrelflight. Kestrelflight says Whistlepaw is badly hurt, but he thinks she'll recover. He says it's his fault for dismissing Frostpaw, but Frostpaw says she understands why he did. Kestrelflight promises her he'll never doubt a word she says again. Seeing Frostpaw valued makes Sunbeam happy, and she murmurs to Nightheart that they did the right thing, and thanks StarClan that they did.

Thank you!! I didn't realize it was just basic HTML (And also missed the button) (And 23 chapters, got it, thanks Hollyfall!) I wonder if this'll change Harestar's perspective now. He's been so "RiverClan must pick their own leader" the entire book. Which in a normal situation yeah.... I'll bet Leafstar doesn't change her mind though. Not yet.

Chapter 19: Frostpaw tells Whistlepaw she's lucky to be alive. Whistlepaw sighs she's aware, but she couldn't let Leafkit die since her parents would be devastated and kits are the future of the Clan. Frostpaw apologizes for all the trouble Whistlepaw got into for helping her, and Whistlepaw says not to mention it and it was the right thing to do. Kestrelflight comes into the den, obviously having overheard their conversation. He says there's clearly more to the story on why Whistlepaw helped Frostpaw, and he apologizes to Frostpaw for not taking her seriously. Frostpaw is touched by Kestrelflight's newfound praise of her, and she knows ultimately it's Harestar who needs to believe her. As if he was summoned, Harestar pokes his head into the den, and asks to speak to Frostpaw in private. Kestrelflight thanks Frostpaw for helping treat Whistlepaw, and Frostpaw goes with Harestar.
Harestar remarks the tree is too heavy to move, but he plans on utilizing it so they can rebuild the nursery to be even better. Frostpaw gazes out across the moor and sees RiverClan, and a pang hits her heart as she realizes how homesick she is. She knows she'll live there again, and set right what Splashtail destroyed. Harestar says everything happened the way Frostpaw said it would, and thanks her for warning the Clan about her vision. He says the storm was rather strong, and her vision was unusual, but it happened anyway, and to him, it seems like her vision was from StarClan themselves. He's never heard of a cat only receiving one true vision while the other ones being fake, so it must stand to reason she was being truthful about her other visions. He tells her that he believes her about Splashtail at the last gathering; especially that Splashtail killed Reedwhisker, and he tried to kill her. Frostpaw is surprised with his change of heart, and asks what he's going to do now.
Harestar says he absolutely will not try to control another Clan's decisions or force himself in them, remarking about Tigerstar's occupation of RiverClan, and that change must come from within RiverClan itself. However, if RiverClan cats resist Splashtail's leadership, then WindClan will join with the other Clans in deposing him. Frostpaw thanks Harestar. Harestar meows not to thank him just yet. He explains that it takes a lot of a Clan to lose faith in their leader, and RiverClan in particular has been through a lot and clearly just want to regain their strength back. They will cling to the notion that Splashtail can save them, because ever since Mistystar died, Tigerstar's occupation of the Clan, and other interferences, it's hard to let go of your dream and dedication to your Clan when a chance like Splashtail presents itself.
Frostpaw says she has faith in RiverClan to do the right thing. Harestar agrees. Nightheart beckons to Frostpaw, saying they need to go back home. Harestar wishes Frostpaw well, and heads off. Frostpaw says she needs to get back to ShadowClan. Featherpelt and Oatclaw approach them and thank Sunbeam and Frostpaw for saving their kits. Frostpaw says not to mention it. Sunbeam and Nightheart begin chatting, but Frostpaw's gaze keeps getting drawn to RiverClan, wondering if she'll ever be able to go home again.

Chapter 20: A day has passed since the events at WindClan, and Squirrelstar is pleased that Harestar now believes Frostpaw. He and Sunbeam talk about what to do with Splashtail, and then go speak to the apprentices. Noticing Wasp isn't with them, Nightheart asks where he is. Wafflepaw looks guilty and says he went to RiverClan. Nightheart, angry, asks why, especially considering the how Splashtail is running things. Wafflepaw explains that Wasp came for RiverClan, and he decided his destiny was to be a RiverClan cat and went to RiverClan to make them take him in. Nightheart says Wasp has bees in his brain. Wasp told Wafflepaw his destiny was to be a RiverClan cat too, but Wafflepaw was happy in ThunderClan. Nightheart feels horrible, feeling that if he were around more, he could have convinced Wasp to stay. Sunbeam assures him it's not his fault. Wafflepaw says he didn't tell anyone in the hopes that Wasp would change his mind, but he was wrong. Nightheart worries that at best, RiverClan would just throw him out, while at worst, Wasp would be killed. Sunbeam goes to fetch Squirrelstar, and the two come back, Squirrelstar stern and worried.
Wafflepaw explains what happened with Wasp, and apologizes for not telling anybody. Squirrelstar says Wafflepaw is new, so she'll let it slide, but he should have told her or Ivypool about it. Squirrelstar meows that she isn't sure she can do anything, since RiverClan is a dangerous place and Splashtail knows Wasp has been in ThunderClan and might accuse him of spying. Nightheart offers to go with Wafflepaw to search for Wasp, but Squirrelstar refuses, not wanting to risk her warriors for someone who isn't ThunderClan. Nightheart wants to argue, but before he can, Poppyfrost calls for Squirrelstar's name, arriving in the camp with Tigerstar.
Squirrelstar gathers Nightheart and Sunbeam, citing them as eyewitnesses, and goes to talk to Tigerstar. Bayshine gathers up the apprentices to go do some battle training as Nightheart goes with Squirrelstar. Tigerstar and Squirrelstar discuss Harestar's change of mind, but he's worried since he's heard nothing from Duskfur, Icewing, or Mothwing ever since last gathering. He worries if Splashtail has found them out, and Nightheart says that he doubts becoming leader would stop Splashtail's ambitions considering he was the one who killed Reedwhisker. Tigerstar mews he worries about living next to a murderous, fraudulent leader on his border, and refuses to risk his Clanmates' lives like that.
Squirrelstar agrees, but she still doesn't want to interfere when RiverClan warriors believe Splashtail has been chosen by StarClan, since things will get worse if they force themselves into RiverClan affairs. Frostpaw explains everything Mothwing told her to Squirrelstar. Squirrelstar worries that Mothwing, Icewing, and Duskfur are older cats, and they can probably be defeated by the younger ones. Frostpaw offers to go spy on RiverClan, as she's done it before. Squirrelstar and Tigerstar agree. Nightheart and Sunbeam offer to go with her, and the two leaders also give them permission.

Again, I wish they'd interacted sooner! Individual thoughts aside, it's sweet how Frostpaw has Nightheart and Sunbeam's unconditional support. I also feel for Wasp and the timing is still terrible, but ngl, I kinda laughed at the "bees in his brain" comment.

I quite enjoy how much it feels like all of the three main protags are interacting with each other period. I feel like Broken Code didn't have Shadowsight, Bristlefrost and Rootspring all together half as much as Frostpaw, Sunbeam and Nightheart. All three in the same room, plus Bristlefrost and Shadowsight didn't interact too much, as well as Rootspring and Shadowsight (I know they did a few times, but), from what I can remember. This arc we've seen so much of all three; I really like it.

Lots to catch up on while I was passed out (sleeping) and then had a busy day, excited to read through the chapter summaries I missed! Chapter 14: I'm sure it will be interesting to see Nightheart as a mentor to Wafflepaw.
Silly Honeyfur, check you family tree again, girl! She could've had the exact same reason Shellfur had when it comes to them both being upset that Nightheart became a mentor before them. Also, I just remembered that she's Nightheart's aunt lol.
Excited to hopefully see some more of the SpotStem kits now that they are apprentices! Love that Bayshine and Finchlight got two of them (he got Bristlepaw, she got Graypaw) and Molewhisker got another apprentice as well (Stempaw).
Still don't like NightSun as a ship but I'm glad that he's supportive of her wanting to help her family as well as them communicating with each other in a healthy way. Chapter 15: "Glad to be out of prison?" Good one, Twiggy lmao!
Ah yes, a storm, always a good plot device for some drama or even outright tragedy in this series.
Hope Frostpaw will be safe on the moor... Chapter 16: One can very much tell that Woodsong and Appleshine are Breezepelt's daughters, Crowfeather's grand-daughters and Jayfeather's nieces in this chapter. Glad they have personalities even if they're mean ones (to Frostpaw) for now.
I also like Kestrelflight continuing to be grumpy but overall well-meaning.
Chapter 17: Love that the Great Storm from Bramblestar's SE got mentioned in two chapters now. They are really going for name-dropping nostalgic events in this book, huh?
Jayfeather saying that Frostpaw's vision about a tree falling on the WindClan nursery could just mean that they will have a problem with the SkyClan mediator Tree is typical Jayfeather and now I can't unsee Tree somehow coming to the camp and falling on the nursery lol.
I really hope nothing bad happens to any WindClan kits...
Chapter 18: Look who was right about that tree. I kinda want to see Woodsong and Appleshine apologize to Frostpaw now. Glad that Leafkit is okay and that Sunbeam was the one to rescue her. Chapter 19: Genuinely love Harestar here. Truly hope this means he'll get some more focus as a character (possibly even the 18th SE, who knows). He really needs it imo. Same with modern WindClan and his leadership in general.
I'm glad Harestar believes Frostpaw now. But I do get why he's saying the same thing as Squirrelstar and Tigerstar when it comes to not interfering with RiverClan for now until Splashtail makes his next move (which he will). Chapter 20: "Bees in his brain" works well for Wasp but now I kinda wish he was called Bee and the actual Bee was called Wasp so it would've worked perfectly lol. Wasp going to RiverClan now really is the worst decision and worst timing for him to do that though! It certainly won't end well for him, I'm sure...
I like that all three protagonists are interacting together now since they only one-on-one with each other previously. Excited to see what comes next.

From Thunder, I wonder if Bee will be relevant since he had visions of standing beside a river with mysterious cats watching him. I bet Bee is the new RiverClan Leader and that Frostpaw will eventually return to the post of Medicine Cat by the end of Star. Frostpaw is certainly going to get her name by the end of Star , no doubt.

Chapter 21: As Nightheart leads Frostpaw and Sunbeam out of camp, they're cut off by Gorseclaw and Sneezecloud, who blocks him and gives him a vicious shove out of the way. Nightheart prepares to leap at him, only stopping when Squirrelstar orders him not to. Squirrelstar screams at Sneezecloud how dare he touch her warrior in their own camp, and it's the angriest Nightheart has ever seen Squirrelstar. Sneezecloud says he doesn't care, since they found Wasp trespassing on their territory, thrusting Wasp forward. Wasp says he wasn't, he wanted to join them. Gorseclaw sneers they don't want him. Squirrelstar stiffly orders Ivypool, Stormcloud, and Birchfall to escort Sneezecloud and Gorseclaw out. Gorseclaw refuses, as they have a message from Splashstar, which is that Wasp is a flea-brain who thinks he'd be welcomed in enemy territory.
Sneezecloud says RiverClan is the better Clan anyway, and Gorseclaw accuses Wasp of being a spy, and they'll arrange a proper punishment for spies if someone else tries. Nightheart feels like his heart slammed into his throat, since that's what they were trying to do. Squirrelstar thanks them, and tells them to leave. Ivypool gathers Stormcloud and Shellfur, and orders them to leave. Sneezecloud and Gorseclaw head out, but Gorseclaw threatens them to stay out of their territory.
Squirrelstar rips into Wasp about him leaving. Wasp apologizes, but defends himself by saying he wanted to be a RiverClan cat. He says he's made up his mind now, and he wants to return to the park. Squirrelstar says it's probably the wisest thing for him to do. Tigerstar amusingly murmurs it's a busy morning for Squirrelstar. She says it's nothing she can't handle. Tigerstar dips his head politely, and comments that Sneezecloud and Gorseclaw were decent cats before all of this, and he believes it's Splashtail's influence that changed them, and if they can get rid of Splashtail, they'll go back to being good cats. Tigerstar leaves, and Bayshine and Finchlight come into camp, where Wafflepaw and Wasp had a reunion. Wasp announces that he's grateful for ThunderClan giving him shelter, but his dreams of being a RiverClan cat are gone and he wants to return to the park. Wasp says the weather is good and he knows his place now. Wasp says his goodbyes, and gets some herbs from Alderheart for the journey. He thanks Nightheart for being a friend, and heads out of the thorn tunnel. Reflecting on how Wasp would have made a good clanmate, Nightheart then asks Squirrelstar if she still wants them to go and spy on RiverClan. Squirrelstar says Splashtail doesn't scare her, and considering how embarassing Sneezecloud's and Gorseclaw's attitudes were, she can only imagine what they're being taught over there. She tells him to go, but to be extra careful.
On their way to RiverClan, Nightheart believes that once they discover what Duskfur has done to organize a resistance against Splashtail, they can go from there. They pass by the horseplace, and he can see Sunbeam clearly thinking about her family. He suggests they can talk to Squirrelstar after they're done here to try and find them. They eventually get to the RiverClan camp, and hide in a clump of elder. RiverClan cats are divided into pairs, training for battle viciously. Nightheart sees Graypaw in the session as well, and how brutal the training is, and notes several of the warriors have open wounds. He then sees that RiverClan cats hadn't even bothered to clean up their camp from the storm, with twigs and other debris strewn around.
Splashtail then calls a meeting, and starts yowling that they will find the treacherous cats and make them pay. Sunbeam whispers that Icewing, Mothwing, and Duskfur are nowhere to be seen. Splashtail continues his rant, yowling that they challenged his orders yesterday, and now they've left in the middle of the night. He says they cannot be allowed back in RiverClan, and traitors must face punishment. No cat in RiverClan seems to like what they're hearing, but Nightheart guesses they're all too afraid to challenge Splashtail. Splashtail hisses that he thought ShadowClan was the enemy, but he was wrong. He says Icewing, Duskfur, and Mothwing are traitors, and they are now considered enemies of RiverClan. He adds that enemies of RiverClan must be killed. He ends his gaze, seemingly expecting support, but he's met with an awkward silence.
The voice of a she-cat pipes up from the crowd, declaring it's the only way to handle traitors. Sunbeam gasps in horror as Nightheart recognizes the voice.

Okay, RiverClan is scary now. Got it. But seriously, not surprising, and poor Wasp and everyone else.
