Kelpshade | Stonefaced at the Ceremony | Open
Kelpshade sat with her tail tucked carefully in front her. Beside her sat her brother who had arrived to sit beside her a little too late into the ceremony, but Kelpshade tried not to think too much about it. Her expression unreadable, she sat with her head high watching her great leader Gulfstar bestow new names and new privileges among her fellow clansmen. Despite her stone faced appearance, her insides were turbulent. She was swelling with pride watching these new Warriors earn their names and the new apprentices ability to be trained by many amazing mentors. She had been pleasantly surprised at the arrival of a Queen's new kits - during the ceremony, no less - but fought the storm inside when she thought she had heard about the loss of a kit. That was another reason why she was stone faced. She couldn't let the ache inside her spread like a virus onto others. These parents having had lost a kit didn't need her mournful presence. So, she pretended she hadn't heard anything and stared up at Gulfstar as the ceremony continued on.

When the ceremony had begun, Currentwade wasn't even in camp. In all honesty, he had been on the beach training on his own. He had felt like he had been slacking lately, like he hadn't been the warrior his clan deserved. He had been tired on patrols, even reluctant to go, and he knew this was all due to his own insecurity so he had gone to do something about it. He had been doing this for nearly a moon now and as far as he knew, no one knew he was training solo - embarrassingly so. He padded up to sit beside his sister as Gulfstar was finishing up naming the apprentices. He hoped he hadn't missed anything big.

Waterripple saw rainfall being dragged to the med den so waterripple went to the med den and asked what happened. How did it happen? waterripple asked scared that a virus or something was going around.

Urchin woke up with a cough, blood spattering the grass fronds. His chest hurt like nothing he'd ever felt before and his leg... well to be honest he wasn't sure if it was still there. Plants rustled around him as he struggled to stand before eventually giving up, laying on the ground and catching his breath. He let himself rest until he heard a thunderbeast go by and sprang up out of fright. The action was immediately regretted however as he felt a surge of pain from his leg which caused him to yowl. After a few minutes of panting, he finally gritted his teeth and began walking. He did so for a while before smelling cats and pausing, unsure of whether they would be friendly or not. But he decided that if they weren't that he'd fight. Urchin wasn't bad at fighting, and he was sure he could win even with a screwed up leg. Eventually he heard and smelled lots of cats from inside a few bushes but couldn't go further. "Help... help..." his voice was weak but he hoped maybe one of the cats would hear him.

MoonSky's ears pricked, was that- a call for help? There it was again, he had just left camp and was barely a few foxlenths away, he turned toward the forest and flattened his ears at the smell of blood. He almost imideatly bolted to the area and found a small black and orange tom, his leg looked maulded, "Great StarClan! Are you okay?" a monster rushed past on the thunderpath nearby and the tom flinched.

Urchin let out a low hiss as he saw the approaching tom. “I… I just need something to- to heal this.” His words were said through gritted teeth and despite all the pain, his tail lashed to let the tom know he was at going to be going down without a fight should he attack. He tried standing but promptly fell again and growled quietly. “What’s your name?”

MoonSky gave a small chuckle but furrowed his brow, Marshpaw is busy enough, plus, I know plenty herbs and tricks, it'll be fine if I take him to the little cave nearby.. "I know a good spot, however it'll not be with my clan, our medicene cat has a pawful already, I'll care for you," he led the way to a small cave as the sky darkened, covered by rainclouds, "Stay here," he told the rouge, "I'll get some herbs and prey," he trotted out of the den, and by the time he gathered enough herbs, the sky had drenched his pelt, "Great- just lovely," he told himself as he trotted back to the den, catching a mouse on the way back, What sensible creatures would be out in this weather- that mouse apperently- and me.
Soon enough MoonSky had entered the den again, he gave Urchin the mouse and started to apply the herbs and some leaf bandages.
