The borderline fanatic obsession with kpop/kdrama/anime within the penpal community. People from Korea or Japan who are looking for penpals get hundreds of likes and are spammed with 30+ messages by these people. It strikes me as slightly fetishy and if I were Korean or Japanese I would feel intensely uncomfortable with all of that attention. And what about the Koreans and Japanese who don’t even like kpop/kdrama/animes? That must be really awkward for them. It’s like these people who are rabidly seeking Japanese/Korean penpals only care about their nationality, not their interests or personality. It’s a little creepy imo.

Returning here for this mini-rant, but I hate video games (media in general, but focusing on games today) that sexualize female characters. Let's swiftly look at the counterarguments, shall we? "Ugh but it's fictional." Doesn't matter whatsoever. If you enjoy gawking at a female character's appearance, reducing her to a piece of meat, I dare to think how you act around women in the real world. Oh wait, you'd treat them exactly the same. Second argument. "But men can be sexualized as well." No they cannot, that's called a male power fantasy. Having a female character with an unrealistic, dangerous body type combined with certain "features" being exaggerated, and likely being shown off with too much skin exposed as well, is miles different from a male character with arms as thick as tree trunks and an 18 pack on their torso.
While watching some PS5 trailers today I stumbled upon a game called "Stellar Blade". While a little generic, the title intrigued me enough to check it out. Where do I begin? Ass shots, jiggle physics around the chest, and of course, after very briefly skimming through the comment section, a bunch of horn dogs. (All men, obviously.) Absolutely sickening. I'm not even physically female, and I want to knock out the teeth of whoever produced this objectively harmful garbage.

Bouncing off of Tealraven's post here, weebs. Men who sexualize and fetishize Japanese women, believing they have to act... what was it called?... "submissive and breedable"? The same men who think their entire culture revolves around anime (or thinking that anime perfectly depicts all of their country and culture), and going out of their way to learn the native language out of this strange obsession. The men who collect body anime body pillows, anime figures, posters, keychains, the whole shebang, decorating their room like a degenerate from college. Like seriously, I don't say this lightly, but get some help, get a life.

The people on stage have to remain single, otherwise sacrificing their whole career and possibly their lives, as well. The companies acknowledge this and instead of protecting them, exploits this unto its entirety.

A bit of an odd one, but I hate hairs in the shower. Seriously, I have to manually get rid of every single one before I can even consider stepping inside.

I hate fandom wikipedia. I'm so glad many companies and groups are choosing to make their own dedicated wiki pages now.
The last time I visited a fandom page was sometime half a year ago. Where do I begin? The banners, the ads placed in-between each article, the unskippable audio ads that often came without an option to mute or close them. I finally called that little search quits when the fandom page suddenly took me elsewhere, replacing itself with a gambling website. (For reference, I believe I was looking up a Doctor Who page?)

I "love" conversations that basically go like this: Person: "Hey, I'm looking if there is a mod that changes x tiny feature in a video game, can anyone help me?" Mob: "AHHHHH you're just a woke SJW NPC, go get a life, we don't need censorship in video games, your IQ is in the negatives, so take that you WOKE NPC, RAWHHHHHHH!!!" TL;DR: Adults who throw temper tantrums over literally nothing, and who chant their buzzwords like war banners, thinking they're "owning" their opponent.

To add onto this, you're looking for information on a subject, you click on a discussion link, and it's two people throwing insults at each other like a couple chimpanzees throwing their own dung, and there's absolutely nothing of worth related to the subject matter.

Thats not where I thought that post was going but I hate the modding community in general for being completely newbie-hostile and difficult to navigate. God forbid you make any kind of request or step-by-step instructions and they tell you to just learn to read or do it yourself.

In reference, this happened some months ago when I made in inquiry on a random forum if there were any Skyrim mods for NPC's but that didn't make them NSFW since that's not my thing, and you can imagine what happened.
I despise this as well. A prime example is Vortex. Yes, it has its flaws, but if you're a newbie, choose to mod with Vortex, and you dare to ask for help, everyone either says "try this alternative" or they come at you with such bitter venom and hatred.

One more note to add! I hate threads where someone has a technical problem, and every response is, "I have this same problem as well, does anyone have any idea how to fix it?". Like... how helpful, really. lol

I will put one forum-specific thing that makes me very irritated: people that post fanfiction chapters as individual posts instead of editing the top few of the thread. I'm not going to search through comments to read your story, sorry. And you're scaring away commenters!!! There are so many people that won't comment on a story if the story is on separate posts because they don't want to add to that problem! There's already a crisis of lurkers and picky readers, doing annoying things like this scares away the few people that you might have attracted to the story's premise ;-;
and the solution is so simple; it doesn't need to be fancy. Just. Paste your new chapters into the first post. Bam, done. You're already editing the title to change the chapter count anyways!! We don't even have the horror of character limits here! You could put a whole novel in one post if you wanted! No more of the seventeen saves because you can only have 100k characters per post and your story is long
I feel like a grandpa waving a cane over here because that was just. Common forum etiquette back in the day but now people use the forums more like discord or a blog page and it makes me so sad. The ability to edit a nice front page is a luxury!! Use it!!

Thanks for alerting me of this issue again because I keep forgetting.

I am going to slightly amend this because apparently there IS a character limit: 262,144 characters (i don't know if this is with or without spaces). So I guess you would need a few saves for very long stories, but that's still PLENTY of space for most 'fics. I only ran into it on my clangen story thread which is around 75k words

I hate parents who bring children (infants included) into public spaces where they're not supposed to be. Restaurants, movie theatres, bars, museums, heck they'd bring them into a construction site if they could. So while you're sitting down or standing up trying to have a nice time, they're running around, making noise, probably screaming their heads off. Just my two cents, if you can't afford a babysitter, then you can't afford to go up. Yes, babies cry, little kids run around like idiots, but it's also your responsibility as a parent to manage where to take them to not disturb the public.
Example: Bringing any creature, especially if it is making noise, into any one of these spaces is considered unacceptable. Teenagers or adults who are making a fuss are quickly thrown out. Why do kids get special treatment?

Going to just disagree. Children require public socialization for their development. It is hella annoying though, especially if it isn't like a "normal amount" of crying or rambunctiousness but the parents do nothing to correct or apologize for the behavior.

I suppose that's where we can agree on. If the kid is crying or screaming more than normal, it's up to the parent to figure out how to sort it out. Quite a few parents just sit idly by.

I feel like parenting has also gotten worse in general. So many don't seem to understand how damaging so much online time is and when most places are 13+ the amount of like 8-12 year olds i see with unrestrained internet access is alarming.
Especially for someone who was groomed online at that exact age. I know the damage it did to me. If I had larger control over parenting, I honestly wouldn't give my kid online chat/multiplayer/etc privileges until moving up to middle school. Only tv and single player or offline co-op games until then. :v
