“Either one works for me! I’ll let Falconpaw choose.” Violetpaw nodded to the other apprentice, wanting her to feel more comfortable with her and with Jasmineheart while her mentor was busy.
“Hmph. At the very least, Thorndash will have Ashsong to cuff his ears. Cinderscar, probably not so much. Who knows if Soulspirit feels the same or not.” Rockdust muttered sourly, before she sighed and stood to her paws. “Whatever. All I know, is that if any cat tries me, I’m not going to be all meek and nice about it.”
“Oh, we know.” Olivegaze responded, earning a gentle cuff from Rockdust on the ear.

Larkbounce wrinkled his nose, his eyes taking a sweep of the camp. "I don't get it. Windclan needs both our moor-runners and tunnelers to thrive, if we didn't have one, we just wouldn't be Windclan." Larkbouce huffed, his gaze tracking the bit of moor he could see from where he was sitting. He didn't try to talk about the rift between moor-runners and tunnelers that seemed to be going around these days, he tried to focus on more positive things, but it was bound to come up until it was resolved. "I think every cat should put more focus into driving the prey-maulers away for good. Now that would actually change things, make a matter in the universe. I'd much rather be known more driving away large predators than starting rumors that one branch of Windclan is deadly." Larkbouce shook his head. "I mean, they both are in their own ways. If you ask me, there are an equal amount of dangers above ground as there is below." “That’s because you have a good head on your shoulders.” Valleyfern nodded with a look of approval at Larkbounce’s priorities. “I agree. These prey-maulers are more of a threat than anything else. For all we know, the Tunnels may be the safest place we can be if they can’t fit in them but we can.” He admitted. Larkbouce nodded, even if he didn't like the idea of going into one of the tunnels. One of the things he admired most about the tunnelers were their fondness of the tight-dark spaces, something he couldn't see himself going through. "Hopefully we can drive them off soon, before leafbare at the very least. There isn't much prey to go around without sharing it with another group of predators." Falconpaw thought, her gaze flitting from Violetpaw to Jasmineheart. "Maybe battle moves?"

Talonscar | w/Redclaw (duskflower )(she is a moor-runner, so you got it right lol)Talonscar looked up at the sound of her name to see Redclaw, one of her fellow moor-runners, approaching her. She flicked her tail in greeting and nodded, relieved. "Hey, Redclaw. I was just thinking of going out, that sounds great!" she said, standing up from her spot. She started towards the camp entrance, keeping pace with him. "So, where were you thinking of heading?" she asked, pushing her way out of camp and pausing just outside, glancing around. Talonscar pricked her ears and scented the air, hoping that the sounds and scents of prey would jump out to her and they could head towards them - but she came up with nothing. So she turned back to her companion for his answer. "The burrows near Fourtrees" he blurted out without thinking. When he realized what he said, he wanted to run to a stone wall. Why did he suggest so close to the border? He really needed to stop thinking about her all the time... He flicked his tail to dismiss his jumble of emotions, hoping Talonscar wouldnt peep his frantic thoughts. He hated lying to his clanmates and was usually much better at blocking thoughts of his forbidden relationship from when he was on duty, but he hadnt seen her in nearly a moon and he was... well wasn't coping well. He turned and met his clanmate's inquiring gaze. "Only cause we havent tried there in a few sunhighs. We might get one last piece of luck before leafbare sets in."

"Let's just be mindful of the border," She nodded at his comment and motioned for him to lead the way, still wondering about his behavior. As they went, Talonscar quickened her pace to match her clanmates and flicked her ear. "Is everything okay? You seem...distracted?" she asked, glancing at him briefly before returning her attention to the path ahead of them. She could just see the large oak trees that marked fourtrees in the distance, but they still had a bit of a ways to go.

We’ve never once heard of these creatures, and now all of a sudden they’re here? That has to mean something…” Valleyfern mused, looking concerned as he peered out across the moorlands. He didn’t see or scent anything odd, but he didn’t like the idea of them lurking around Shadowclan, or near the border.

"Battle moves? Alright, let's head to the training hollow then. What have you been working on with Darkthorn recently Falconpaw?" Jasmineheart herded the apprentices out of camp and toward the training hollow, hoping she could handle both of them.
Sagefoot sighed, but nodded gratefully to the two tunnelers beside her, "Well thank you for the information. Let me know if you see anything else concerning." The deputy got to her paws, dipping her head in farewell to the two before she disappeared into Swiftstar's den for a chat with the leader.

There isn't a single elder story talking about how they defeated them in the past?" That was slightly concerning, even if it was a fact that Larkbounce had known deep down. These creatures were new to the clans, and therefor an even greater threat.

Falconpaw thought back to her most recent training session with Darkthorn. It hadn't been to long ago, even if they hadn't done it recently, hunting in the tunnels had been more their focus as of late, but she could recall them working on a move to fit her size... "I think we were working on the leap-and-hold a little bit? And then we went over the basic blows and stuff."

“No. Not a single time. Not even Blacktail or Rosefeather had heard of them, and they’ve lived far longer than most of the Clan.” Valleyfern shook his head with concern. There had been no mention of these creatures in all the moons he had been alive.

“Battle training sounds good to me.” Violetpaw nodded obediently, listening closely to her mentor and Falconpaw. Inwardly, she wanted to see how strong Falconpaw was, and if she could match the other she-cat’s skills.
Rockdust watched the deputy go with a scowl, before she glared back towards where she had last seen Morningpaw. The poor she-cat deserved better than a rabbit-brained Moor-Running father who had no faith in her choices.

Tigersong | open to interaction ~(if I get anything wrong tunnel wise, let me know)
Tigersong ducked her head as she went under a dip in the tunnel, shaking her head as she straightened back out and kept moving. She was on her way back to camp from a walk through the tunnels. It wasn't necessarily a patrol, though she had kept her ears perked for trouble, but she had really just wanted to get out of camp. She always felt uncomfortable when she was just sitting in the camp. As she approached the exit of the tunnel, she shivered at the sudden breeze that ruffled her pelt. Leaf-bare was coming - fast. The white she-cat slipped out of the tunnel, taking a moment to take in her surroundings. She was out on the open moor now, not too far from camp. She lifted her nose into the air, scenting for anything of importance but the only thing she could smell were her clanmates and the moors. There was a faint scent she didn't quite recognize but it wasn't fresh or nearby, so she shrugged it off. Finally, Tigersong headed back for camp, her pace quick, feeling tense with the breeze and lack of shelter out in the open. The camp came into view before long and she quickened her pace more.
Vixenfrost | open to interaction ~Vixenfrost sat outside the entrance of the camp, watching out for any trouble and enjoying the breeze that ruffled his black fur. His tail was laying over his front paws and he took every few seconds to take a look around and scent the air. He was a little on edge, because his sister had taken off a while ago, looking irritated on a claim that she needed to take a walk. He could only imagine what that consisted of - being confined underground with only dirt and darkness surrounding her. He shivered at the thought. He couldn't imagine not running along the moors, the sky above him. His ears perked at the sound of a cat approaching and his shoulders loosened when he saw the familiar white pelt crest the hill and head his way. "It's about time." he growled lightly as she approached. Tigersong flicked her tail over his ear but didn't respond, just slipped into camp. Vixenfrost - feeling better now he knew she was safe - and returned to his watch.

He had never gone to ask Blacktail or Rosefeather himself, but others had. The prey-maulers were new, and a threat to all the clans. What happened if they went over the border into Thunderclan territory? Or Shadowclan? "Have we found any weaknesses? Anything we can exploit to get them away sooner?"

“To my knowledge, no. But, Cedarstar did say that Shadowclan cats had been able to avoid harm by climbing up into their pine trees. A whole lot of help that does us Windclan cats, right?” Valleyfern sighed, glancing around the flat and treeless moorlands pointedly.
He glanced over at Vixenfrost, the other camp guard assigned for today, as the tom seemed to exclaim something. Looking over the hill, he noticed Tigersong and gave a small chuckle to Vixenfrost.
“She was out for quite a bit. Though, I can’t blame anyone for wanting some time to just breathe. Though, with the prey-maulers… maybe she should go with another tunneler next time?” He offered, waiting for Tigersong to approach camp.

( Moonblazer - I keep doing that! I’m sorry lol. ) Vixenfrost glanced at his fellow guard and let out a snort of contempt. He sent a glare towards the camp, though Tigersong was already gone, perhaps disappeared into the den for a rest. He knew how much she hated sleeping outside. “Try telling her that,” he meowed gruffly, looking back at Valleyfern. “She’s too much like our father, stubborn as a badger,” he commented, shaking his head. It was true. Tigersong was stubborn and headstrong, and if she decided she wanted to do something, by StarClan she was going to do it. No matter if it was stupids or dangerous or got her in trouble.

He looked at Vixenfrost and asked. "Did she tell you why she was going out? I'm assuming she was checking a tunnel, but I got here later than you did and after she had left."

Vixenfrost let out a low laugh, shaking his broad head. Perhaps it was a tunneler trait, the stubbornness was built in and that’s why they ultimately chose the tunnels. It would make sense. The earth was stubborn too, unmoving, unwilling to change. “She said something about needing to take a walk,” Vixenfrost shook his head. “She seemed upset but she didn’t tell me why. She’s seemed on edge a lot recently, I think she’s scared. You’d think that would make her more likely to stick around camp where it’s safer, but..” he shrugged, worry tinging his meow. He was worried about her. Moonblazer

Vixenfrost sighed, his shoulders sagging slightly. The other warrior was right, of course, but it bothered him that Tigersong wasn’t being open with him. They were supposed to be close, best friends. She was so closed off recently. He turned to respond but was interrupted by the very cat they were talking about. Her eyes were narrowed and she padded the rest of the way out and paused next to him. “If you’re going to talk about me, I’d suggest lowering your voices.” She grumbled, but she didn’t look really upset. “Poppyclaw,” she dipped her head to him in greeting. Her spirit dampened only slightly when she realized she probably wasn’t the only one to have thought of this. For all she knew, another cat had already gone to Sagefoot. She shook her head roughly. This wasn’t about getting credit. This was about taking care of her clan. “You’re pretty wise for a cat with wind in his brains,” she joked to Valleyfern. It was a joke she said to her brother a lot, to tease him about being a moor runner. Of course it was purely a joke. She wasn’t one to discriminate. Moor runners were as important to the clan as Tunnelers. Tigersong knew for a fact she’d have trouble chasing down a rabbit over the open moors. She was quicker underground, where the terrain was less forgiving and cramped.

Bumblepaw was curled into her nest, slowly waking up as she awoke from her sleep. Looking around she was reminded of where she was by her snoozing den mates around her. As quietly as she could she started to slip out of her nest and out of the den. Maybe if she was lucky Diasyglow would be awake and take her out to patrol, or some-cat at least. Daisyglow was resting near the outskirts of camp, nodding along as Ivyvine chatted animatedly at her side. When she noticed her apprentice, she touched her nose to her brother's cheek and bid him farewell before crossing the camp toward Bumblepaw. "Good morning sleepy head." She mewed cheerily. Bumblepaw saw her mentor and a happy purr erupted from the apprentice. "I'm not a sleepy head, I'm awake before any other apprentice in the camp!" She merrowed quite loudly, she looked a little embarrassed. Speaking louder than intended. She scoffed, clearing her throat.

Daisyglow snickered, "Well, guess you should tell that to Larkpaw then." She mewed, glancing over to where the apprentice was still sitting with her father, Stonepath. "Anyway, besides that I was hoping I could take you out into the tunnels today and practice your tracking skills. How does that sound to you?"
