{ LOL that works out great because I don’t think Cheeto knows when he’s flirting. So perfect 😂 }CheetoCheeto’s Backyard // With Frazzle // Light
Cheeto’s face reflected his amusement as he watched the cat - Frazzle - stand proud in the sun, much like a peacock showing off his feathers. When the tom exaggeratedly deflated, Cheeto’s ears flicked as he enjoyed the show. What a little showman, Cheeto thought. He liked it. This cat was so much more entertaining than the silly things his Twolegs watched on their glowing wall…thing.
Cheeto snorted when Frazzle said he couldn’t catch him. Well, it’s probably true. I haven’t really used my body in moons. He hadn’t lost all his ability - he was still able to jump nimbly into the fence, and he snuck out of his house like a little ninja. But in a foot race? His new companion would most likely beat him, he thought as he felt his little pudge touch the fence when he bent down to look Frazzle in the eye.
Cheeto sat back up as the orange-and-white tom threw his name around playfully. It sounded nice being said by another cat. He hadn’t had a lot of cat friends since he was taken from his litter a little over four seasons ago. His main companions were Twolegs, and while they loved him and said his name in a nice way, nothing compared to another cat addressing him. “It is fun!” Cheeto said, grinning, loving the thought that even his name was fun. He liked being seen as fun. “I think your name is fun too…Frazzle-Dazzle.” He repeated. The tom had seemed to like it. Maybe it would stick.
He tilted his head to the side when cheetahs were mentioned. “Oh, like lions or something.” His mom had told him and his siblings stories of big cats, who supposedly lived together and battled other big cats. Just a kit’s story.
Cheeto surveyed the area around him. Now that he was out, he saw how much there was to explore. Maybe this Frazzle could show him around. He stood up, tail raised, and looked kindly in the tom’s eyes. “Care for an adventure?” He posed, a smile on his face.

Binx -- The Barn, Before the Storm | With Alice and Wonder - Feathertalon Light To say her first leaf-bare hadn't been easy was an understatement. Though, there wasn't much use in thinking about that right now. Rather, Binx opted to focus on the fact that the eldest molly had made a point to restate that she was welcome to stay. It was a reminder that the only thing driving her to leave was herself. Why did she want to leave, anyway? Perhaps it was just her typically stubbornness in it's purest form trying to resist changes to her life. "It would be easier if I stayed..." She couldn't help but echo the sentiment as she thought on it. She'd miss seeing Killer around the pines, but it seemed nothing would stopping her from visiting him out there, either. "Are you sure I wouldn't be in the way or anything?"
"Alice doesn't bother sayin' things she doesn't mean," Bo mused, an amused chuf escaping him. "We take in all sorts all the time - just say the word and yer like family." The canine was more than happy to bring others into their fold. Herds changed size all the time, and the group of barn cats were much the same. He guarded them all the same, enjoying his time with them. To him, a little black cat would be a fine addition. Though, he was biased - the dog felt that way about most of their new additions.
Orange eyes turn to Wonder only to find a hopeful gaze meeting her own. While she hadn't known her long, she could see them being fast friends, especially with how they seemed to now be sharing their first proper cold season, though for different reasons. First impressions may have been a bit awkward, though she wasn't aware of any particularly negative tension between them. On top of the growing list of net positives, she wasn't sure she could deny such hopeful eyes. "Then I'll stay - can't be too hard to learn to live in group, right?"
(I should hopefully be back on more often c: sorry I've been so inconsistent as of late - my mental health was throwing hands)

(Happy Mother's Day y'all! To you or your mothers.) FrazzleLocation: Twolegplace With: Cheeto ( [X] . VeniVidiVici . [X] ) Frazzle snickered at the reuse of the name Frazzle-Dazzle. It was so funny that he loved it even the second time. “Is that one of those big cats? Yeah, something like that.” He couldn’t remember where exactly he had heard about big cats. He was sure it was from one of the many cats he had stumbled upon around here. “Though the more common big cat myths around here are about pumas,” he mused, whiskers twitching in thought. His gaze snapped back to attention when Cheeto stood up, and his expression lit up like the sun at the mention of his favourite word. Adventure! That sun-like vibrance seemed to ripple through his entire body, causing his fur to subtly puff and flatten, and his paws to hold himself a little higher, all the way to his tail which ended the rippling motion. His tail came to a stop high in the air like a wide, fluffy exclamation mark. “Always!” Frazzle meowed in nearly full volume. The sound seemed to echo across the quiet crisp winter air of the neighbourhood~ not that Frazzle paid that any mind. “You said you’re new here, right? There is so much to see! Just you wait Cheetah! This place'll knock your stripes off.” Without further ado and with energy abounding, he abruptly pushed off the fencepost he had been standing upon. Down he went on the street side of the fence. His front paws struck a patch of ice and slipped out from under him followed by a sharp meow of alarm. The orange and white tom twisted and half-spun, half-slid to the edge of the sidewalk as he tried to regain his paws. He wibbled a little here and wobbled a little there until his paws hit a dry patch, gritty with salt and sand. He stood tall after a final stumble, looking back at Cheeto with a wide grin on his face. “Gotta love that stuff."

CheetoCheeto’s Neighborhood // With Frazzle // Light
Cheeto’s eyes glittered at the mention of something he hadn’t known. He hadn’t learned anything yet of the culture in his new home. “Pumas?” He repeated, the word sounding foreign on his tongue. “What are those?” He looked around him, as if one of these pumas would appear around the corner and swallow him up whole.
Cheeto purred in amusement at the sight of Frazzle’s whole body reacting to Cheeto’s suggestion. Clearly the cat loved the idea, which made Cheeto very happy. How lucky he was, to step outside here for the very first time and find a new friend with the same zest for life as himself! Of course, it could be that this cat was a little trickster and simply wanted to lure him away from his home to attack him far away from the safety of his nest. Cheeto shivered at the thought. Well, that seemed overly paranoid. And besides, Cheeto reflected, I can hold my own in a fight. I’m a little firecracker. And with that thought, Cheeto’s worries were calmed.
“Yes, this is my first day out! Do you know if -” But Cheeto was cut off with the sudden jump Frazzle had taken. He stopped, mouth open, and watched as he soared down to the ground…and then landed (if you could call it that?) rather ungracefully, skidding around the sidewalk until he finally recovered his balance. Cheeto couldn’t help but burst out in raucous laughter. “You made that look easy!” He teased, tilting his head playfully to one side.
Cheeto realized that meant it was now his turn to jump off the fence. Mousedung. He thought, hoping he could maybe do a bit better than Frazzle? Cheeto gulped. Well, there was no going back now. Can’t disappoint his new friend like that. Nervously, Cheeto looked over the fence, bringing his front paws over and awkwardly sliding them halfway down the fence, until he was unbalanced. Before he fell completely, and with a uncontrolled yowl, Cheeto flung his back legs over the fence and landed with a loud plop on the sidewalk. He slid a little on the ice, moving him closer to Frazzle. He looked up at the tomcat from the ground. “It’s great!” He agreed (if sarcastically).

FrazzleLocation: Twolegplace With: Cheeto ( [X] . VeniVidiVici . [X] ) Frazzle heard Cheeto’s laughter and grinned regardless, joining him with some amused churring of his own. It wasn’t uncommon for him to be a bit of a klutz. According to him, all was good and well as long as you could still laugh about it. Laughter was a beautiful thing; the joy of a cat’s soul. If a little klutziness brought more laughter into this world, he’d gladly do it again and again. He gave his chest a couple of licks. It still tingled a little from the initial impact. Then he smirked up at Cheeto who was still on the fence. “Care to give it a try?” He watched as Cheeto (very carefully) slipped down the fence. At a certain point, the fellow tom began to tip and after a yowl, landed with a prompt plop. Ouch. That might sting. But Frazzle took no shame in snorting and bursting into some full-throated laughter of his own. By the time Cheeto slid closer, it had faded to a lingering chirring giggle. Frazzle mustered up a serious facade. “Such is the first step into a new land,” he uttered sagely, but there was no denying the restrained amusement in his meow and expression. The facade broke into a wide welcoming grin and he took a couple steps back so Cheeto could join him on the dry patch. “Is it your first leafbare outside?” he asked, taking the moment to give Cheeto a second look over. The chubby tom mustn’t be much older than himself. Frazzle was 17 moons old. He was a relatively slim tom, but his wild unkempt fur made him look much bigger than he really was. As for what he smelt like? Most cats both wild and tame didn’t find it pleasant. It was a mixture of twoleg crow-food, grease, a variety of twoleg scents and buried under it all were undertones of more earthy, natural scents. (totally forgot to do an official description of his overall appearance until now XD) “And as for Pumas…” Frazzle went on, finally getting to the question Cheeto had asked earlier. His face took on a mysterious and somewhat spooky expression. “Are you sure you want to know?”

CheetoTwolegplace // With Frazzle // Light
Cheeto couldn’t help but laugh at Frazzle’s self-important tone. This is a strange cat. Cheeto thought to himself, attempting to stand up. His legs were wobbly on the slippery ground. But he’s funny. I like him.
Cheeto nodded his thanks to Frazzle as he stopped off the slippery sidewalk and onto actual dry land. Thank goodness, he thought. It would be much easier to explore if he could walk. And he felt more sure of his decision to trust Frazzle every time the cat showed he was merely silly, not actually pompous.
Cheeto’s lips curled ever-so-slightly when he got closer to the tom. Well, he kind of smells… He thought, his inner monologue having a sharp, disgusted tone. Cheeto had been inside so long, the worst thing he had smelt was when his Twolegs did a terrible job heating up their food in the strange box and it came out all charred and crispy. He took a gulp and suppressed the smell. I’ll get used to it. I’ll just have to convince him to bathe at some point.
“Not exactly.” Cheeto said. Maybe this was the mystery he had mentioned. “I know I’ve lived through a leafbare before. In my old home, my Twolegs let me go outside in this weird box they built. But the seasons were very different there. It was still warm, and we didn’t have any of this strange white stuff.” Cheeto’s tail flicked a bit of snow off the ground.
Cheeto’s eyes glistened as Frazzle mentioned the pumas again. “Of course I do!” The words flew out of his mouth. He wanted to know more and more about his new home. “Maybe we can talk and walk?” He meowed, looking around Frazzle to see the wide, wide earth stretching beyond him, beckoning his paws to keep on marching.

FrazzleLocation: Twolegplace With: Cheeto ( [X] . VeniVidiVici . [X] ) Frazzle tilted his head as Cheeto described his previous leafbare experience, his eyes widening in amazement. He had only experienced it once before, but he couldn’t imagine another leafbare without the snow and cool weather. The trees over there must look even more forlorn without the sparkling snow to replace the leaves. Just how far away had Cheeto come from? Could the ones he was searching for be that far away? Would he ever travel that far away? Frazzle closed his eyes and turned his head away. He opened his eyes to the hazy blue form of the mountains that loomed in the northern skies. No. Unless he had a real lead, he would likely never stray too far from this place he called home. There was his aunt Fran and all of his friends about the twolegplace and the woods. They were all his family now. With Frazzle’s gaze upon the mountain, Cheeto’s earlier question about pumas came back to him. So Frazzle set his bait, playing it off as a spooky tale, and he smirked mischievously as Cheeto eagerly took the bait. “Heh.” He didn’t need to be asked twice to start walking. Frazzle turned and took a few steps forward on the gritty sidewalk. Then with a short hop, he landed on some packed snow. He preferred the cool substance much more than the grittiness of the dry patches of the sidewalk. “This ‘strange white stuff’ as you so call it, is snow,” he explained as he travelled on, padding specifically on the snowiest patches as if it were a sort of game. The snow covered about two thirds of the sidewalk. The other third was a mixture of dry patches and ice. “With it comes the cold and the quiet. Almost everything seems to hole themselves away for most of the season. And the ones that stay out tend to be especially irritable. Heh heh.” He paused meowing to jump over a particularly large patch of ice. It could have easily been skirted around, but he thought jumping over it would be more fun. He was just short and slid on his butt the last couple whiskerlengths to the next patch of snow. The messy tom glanced back at Cheeto then with a cheeky grin. “So I’m glad I ran into you.” He turned away again and carried on across the patches of snow, down the long and quiet street of buildings. “Pumas!” Frazzle announced the change of topic as he paused at an alleyway entrance, and promptly turned to enter. There was more snow here. Other than a couple of packed down trails, the snow remained fluffy on each side. The orange and white tom slinked along the leftmost trail, his tail dropping low and swinging slowly from side to side. “They say they used to dwell in the dark deep depths of the mountain,” he began, his voice low and mysterious. He glanced around them at the dark corners or the tops of fences as if something might be watching them. “A large cat immune to the cold, and unchallenged by any other predator… With an insatiable appetite, it will prey upon any unsuspecting creature it sets its hungry eyes upon.” Frazzle stopped then and slowly turned his wide, intense gaze upon Cheeto. “And if it ever sets its sight on you……. “ his voice dropped to a chilling whisper. “There will be no escape.”"IT WILL EAT YOU WHOLE!" he yowled, suddenly pouncing toward his friend so his stinky self was right in Cheeto's face, a mere whiskerlength between their noses. Then before Cheeto could do much, he dashed away, his hind legs kicking up snow. The tom cackled without refrain as he ran, like some sort of maniac.

CheetoTwolegplace // With Frazzle// Light
Cheeto followed Frazzle’s gaze to the mountain. They were majestic things, stretching out taller and wider than any cat could dream of. They hadn’t had those in his old home. He did wonder how far he had gone. He had already left behind his littermates and mother as a kitten - they had all been picked up off their home in the Twolegplace and brought to a loud, hectic place filled with other cats before being taken off one by one. Cheeto was one of the first ones to leave his family. Where had they all ended up? Somewhere far beyond those mountains, no doubt.
When Frazzle leaped onto the snow, Cheeto gingerly followed him. He didn’t want to sink into it, like he had when he jumped out of his den’s window, but he was pleased to find it was hard and cool beneath his paws. His eyes opened even wider hearing Frazzle name the mysterious stuff. “Snow,” he thought out loud, feeling the word on his tongue. He was learning so much today! And only awake for an hour or so. He was vaguely disappointed when Frazzle said everything tends to hide. He had really wanted to catch a mouse today, to sate the dreams he had been having. He halted when Frazzle got to the patch of ice. Alright, another jump. Can’t stop now. He let out a snort of laughter when Frazzle slid on his butt again. He crouched down and shot up, using all his strength. He managed to make the jump by just a whisker length, and sat down, licking his paw and drawing it over his ear. “I can be quite a pain in the tail, y’know. To cats who get on my bad side.” He teased, eyes gleaming. He stood up, puffing out his fur, and letting out his best feisty rrrrroww. Very pleased with himself, he shook out the puff and trotted along Frazzle. “I’m glad to have met you too!” He said cheerfully, notes of sincerity in his tone. His pace slowed as they got to the alley. He was a bit more hesitant to follow Frazzle into the alley. He didn’t really want to walk in the deep snow…but he did want to hear about the pumas…
Cheeto’s eyes grew wider with each word Frazzle said. Pumas did not sound like something to be messed with. Cheeto’s ears slowly pinned to the top of his head, and his tail puffed up subconsciously. Cheeto met Frazzle’s intense gaze, breathing nervously as Frazzle said those last chilling words.
And then Cheeto let out a mrrrrrow of fear and shock as Frazzle jumped right in his face. The threat of the Puma and Frazzle’s stench combined, making Frankie feel as if he wanted to crawl out of his skin. When Frazzle ran away, he realized the cat was probably teasing him. …probably. Pumas were most likely still scary though.
“Hey, get back here! I’ll catch you, silly furball!” Cheeto yowled, shaking snow off his face. He took off after Frazzle. He lost his balance here and there on the ice and snow, but was doing his best to stay as close to Frazzle as possible. He was only a few tail lengths behind. He was panting, his little pudge swinging, dreadfully out of shape. He grunted in determination. And playfulness. He could see Frazzle was juuust close enough…and with that, he pounced. { Light I’ll let you decide if he makes it or not XD }

FrazzleLocation: Edge of Twolegplace With: Cheeto ( [X] . VeniVidiVici . [X] ) There was no denying that Cheeto was fun. He had a sense of humour and was enjoyable to chat with. Frazzle had really meant it when he had said he was glad to have ran into the fellow tom. In amidst the sound of pounding paws and the resounding yowl behind him, he couldn’t help but laugh. He laughed with joy, for he had a new friend who was actually willing to play and take chase. He laughed at the fun of it all; the thrill of the run. And most of all…. He laughed at the thought of Cheeto’s last expression. That panicked face and the shrill mrrrrrrow that followed. Yes! He was quite the silly furball, wasn’t he? That was exactly what he wanted to be!
When at last his laughter faded, his legs spread wider and faster, and the tom picked up speed. Warmth flooded into his chilled limbs and his heart felt light. He managed to avoid the worst spots and when he did skid, he recovered fairly quick after a short slide. There were a lot of things he couldn’t do very well, but running wasn’t one of them. It was one of the main reasons he had survived as long as he had. Together they streaked down the alleyway, flashes of orange and orange and white. Frazzle noticed the light brightening up ahead and knew the alley was about to end. He dug in his paws in an attempt to stop, but shortly after he did so, a large force slammed into him from behind. With a surprised yowl, Frazzle and his pouncer were sent tumbling into the deeper snow up ahead. Up and over, up and over until they came to a stop with Cheeto on top. Frazzle landed on his back with a sharp whoomph! They had landed on what used to be a small path at the edge of the twolegplace. A long fence line stretched from side to side ahead of them, and beyond that the spindly brown branches of the forest beyond reached in vain for the grey-blue sky. Panting and catching his breath in spite of the weighty mass atop of him, Frazzle blinked up at the sky far above him. Within the topmost field of his vision was the top of the fence. He shifted his gaze down to his chest, his neck lifting a little so he could see what was atop of him. Just as he expected, there was the orange tabby fur of the tom called Cheeto. Frazzle let his head fall back into the snow with a short snort. But it didn’t stop there. The laughter kept coming, just bubbling out of him. His lean frame shook with the effort. When at last it subsided enough to speak, he meowed between lingering churrs and gasps, "Heh. You're not half bad, Cheetah. Heheh."

CheetoEdge of Twolegplace // With Frazzle // Light
Cheeto let out a triumphant screech as he bowled Frazzle over. It felt so good to run freely, to pounce on another cat playfully, to feel the brisk wind in his fur. The cold was getting less and less bothersome as he romped around. His blood was pumping, and he was back to his old self. Cheeto had loved to play as a kitten - always jumping on his littermates and playfighting. He felt like a kit again, rolling over and over with Frazzle.
Cheeto laughed along with Frazzle. His laughs mixed with purrs, coming out in waves of rumbling enjoyment. “I supposed I’m a silly furball too,” He remarked, scrunching up his face as if deep in thought and truly contemplating the statement. He stood there atop Frazzle until the laughing died down. He stepped aside, allowing Frazzle to get up and shake himself off. He feigned scoffing and offense at Frazzle’s statement.
“Of course I’m not!” He started, drawing a paw up to his chest. “I’m Cheetah. A big cat. Which means I can’t be half of anything!” He declared, standing up straight and tall, tail pointed directly up to the sky, in a vast effort to make himself as large as possible. “I’m double!” He said proudly, tilting his head up to the sky.
After his grand display, Cheeto looked towards the forest they had stumbled upon. It was taunting him, calling for him to trot down it, deeper into unknown territory. My Twolegs will be wondering where I am… he thought, a wave of guilt flooding over him. He chased that thought away. I am a cat, not a Twoleg. I go where I please. I’ll be alright.
He took a step closer to the fence, looking curiously over it. It couldn’t be hard to cross. He looked back at Frazzle. “Let’s go in there.” He said breathlessly as he took off to the fence, leaping on top of it and perching atop.

FrazzleLocation: Edge of Twolegplace With: Cheeto ( [X] . VeniVidiVici . [X] ) Breath finally caught after all the laughter, Frazzle prrrowwed at Cheeto’s comment. “A silly furball is the best thing to be,” he snickered as he rolled to his paws and stood, shaking the snow out of his fur. It had done well to cool him off after his short, but energetic run. He had to lick a couple of snowy lumps free from his flank. He paused at Cheeto’s offended scoff, his eyes widened a tad in surprise. Then a grin spread wide across his face at the orange tabby’s pompous display. Just when he thought Cheeto couldn’t be any more fun than he already was, he went ahead and proved him wrong. It was almost as if they were long-lost brothers or something. Frazzle paused at the thought and gave Cheeto a third look-over, this time comparing him to the last memories he had of his brothers and sisters. He hesitantly opened his jaws just as Cheeto’s attention was drawn to the forest’s edge. The fellow took a step toward the fence, and Frazzle closed his jaws when Cheeto looked back towards him. The tom sounded rather fascinated about the forest, and spared no time in dashing over to the fence and promptly perching atop of it. Frazzle let out a short soft breath and decided to let his question go for now. It was very unlikely, given that he came from snowless territory. He followed after Cheeto’s trail. Once at the base of the fence, he crouched down before hopping up to the fence. He reached the top with ease this time about a taillength from Cheeto. Frazzle travelled this way often enough, the way was very familiar to him. He glanced over at Cheeto. “Ever been in a forest before?”

{I wanna join, but for the 'current hold on queens', can I make a loner she-cat with an adopted litter?}

{ HAHA long lost brothers that is so cute, aw }CheetoEdge of the Forest // With Frazzle // Light
Cheeto shook his head. “No,” he said breathlessly, gazing out over the snow-capped trees and new terrain. “My old Twolegplace wasn’t connected to anything like this. It was all Twoleg dens and Thunderpaths. The closest was a small bit of grass nearby my previous home. But nothing like this.” Cheeto’s eyes were taking in everything they possibly could, scanning his entire field of vision. He opened his mouth to taste the air. Most things were probably dead, with the cold adding a thick, frozen layer over his sense of smell, but underneath that all was the glistening smell of strange new plants, poking its head out like a new growth shooting up under the frost in early spring.
“It must be so nice in Greenleaf.” Cheeto murmured, closing his eyes to imagine it. It must be like his dreams! Being able to catch a mouse on a crisp, sunny day. Cheeto wondered if he came from cats that lived out in the forest, catching their own food. Maybe that was why he was having dreams about it. Or maybe it was being in this new area, so close to the forest.
Cheeto stood on all four legs as if he was about to jump off the fence into the forest. He lifted one paw, and then hesitated. He looked back at Frazzle. “Are there pumas in the forest?” He almost-whispered, his eyes wide and betraying his newfound fear.

(^^) FrazzleLocation: Edge of Forest With: Cheeto ( [X] . VeniVidiVici . [X] ) Frazzle watched Cheeto as he spoke, his expression the most genuine it had been since they met, if not a little distracted. The more he watched and listened, the more more certain he was that the tom could not be one of his brothers. The tabby pattern wasn’t quite the same and the fur was too short. But he might ask if the tom knew anything later, just in case his family may have travelled that far by some small chance. Frazzle blinked back to attention on the wistful expression on Cheeto’s face. Cheeto seemed to be quite taken by the forest. Many housecats found the forest to be fascinating or terrifying in some way or another. His poor aunt Fran had been traumatized by the forest for a long time ever since her first visit. But others, like Whisp (Wisteria) and Garden (Gardenia) decided to go and live in the forest. What kind of cat would Cheeto be? Seeing him now, taking it all in with awe, Frazzle was certain he’d love it inside and out. After all, they were a bit like kindred spirits, were they not? Frazzle followed his gaze to the frosted branches and the shadowy black and white depths beyond. “It is. In greenleaf, the forest is very… green.” Frazzle glanced at Cheeto with a sideways grin before returning his gaze forward and continuing with a little more detail. “When the warmer seasons come, it teems life. Birds. Mice. The occasional fox or coyote.” He took another peek out of the corner of his eye. “Bushes, and all sorts of plantlife as far as you can see. And the odd cat meandering about.” Frazzle saw Cheeto paw the air, as if wanting to jump down and enter the forest. But the tom paused, freezing and anxiously asking about the pumas. Frazzle hardly held back a snort of air, and looked at the tom with widened eyes and a creepish smile. “Mayyybe…” he meowed mysteriously as he leaned forward until he tipped over the edge of the fence. His tail flicked for balance and his legs stretched out last moment; he landed safely down in the deep snow with a satisfying muted thwump. The orange and white tom didn’t often find himself affected much by the cold of the snow, as long as he found a decent spot to hole up for the night~ and he had quite a few of those. His long thick coat likely played a part, though it was mostly because he was accustomed to the weather. A couple of silly looking hops got the fluffy tom to the top of a firmer drift of snow. The trees were still thin here, and the snow had more of a chance to build up. From his new position, he glanced over his shoulder. “But I haven’t met any yet.”
