💗Hollyleaf💗 coming from someone who grew up in an area without snow (Bay Area, CA) and then moved to an area with snow (Northwest WA state), it’s definitely fun, but it’s also a pain. I remember being so jealous of kids getting snow days, and I’m sure if I was the age to have that it would be different, but it’s just kinda a nuisance after a bit lol. First snow of the year is still always awesome, and when I can just stay home? Love sitting and watching it fall, or going and messing around or walking the boys (my two cats) in it, but when I have to go places? Scary as hell cause people drive like idiots in the snow. It’s a very pros versus cons kinda thing, but I still have some wonder left for the snow lol (My biggest thing is I wish we would get snow, snow. When we get winter weather it’s like five solid inches of ice and a dusting of snow on top. It’s so frustrating. And because it’s so infrequent, yes I totally get the people driving badly in it. When it ices around here I simply stay home - I can’t risk my life for anything. A few years ago we got a bad ice storm and I called out of work for four days in a row because I didn’t feel safe driving in it when the roads were still covered in icy slush. I just wish that we’d get REAL snow when we do. The last couple years, though, it’s been too warm even for ice during the winter) Yeah, we get snow, but then after a day or two it turns into ice. Cause we get enough sun that it usually melts the top snow, then it refreezes over night, and rinse and repeat until it’s scary as hell, or until it gets just warm enough to overcome the snow and ice. The roads are pretty well maintained at least, especially my way to work now, cause it’s basically a trucking route from Canada, so it’s kept clear as much as possible.

( runningsky123 - at least I can rest easy knowing we don’t suffer the ice alone lol. I’m hoping this winter will be better with the winter weather because it’s actually been getting cold. Last year it was 80 degrees on thanksgiving 😭)
