Boz w/ Wonder (Light) Location // The BarnBoz opened his eyes with a blink, ears perking at the subtle noise of rustling. Green eyes flicked around, turning his head to look over and see.. Wonder? He observed her adjusting a few of the nests, she.. seems to do that quite often. Wonder was always.. hesitant, not that he's surprised by that, from what he knew of her before, she's not very.. not unapproachable but more alike.. that everyone else was. He watched curiously as she came just a bit closer to the nest he was dwelled in, lifting his head, his tail twitching behind him as he waited. He figures she noticed him.. but is waiting? FOr what exactly? For... Boz to speak? Probably, so with a small sigh, he shifted towards her just a bit, ears twitching at the shot of pain that went from his paw, and up the joint. He'd landed roughly on it, and twisted it. Zee said it wouldn't last too long, but to still give it quite a few days- Boz's expression made Zee laugh. Huffing quietly, nose twitching, "Wonder?" He called at a normal volume, head tilting at the diligent molly. He was resting on his belly, hind legs off to the side, and his front paws settled stiffly in front of him, twitching to move. His head was lifted, looking over Wonder with a quirked ear, eyes a tad curious, but unsurprised. He knows she's- ah, shy? Not like he's prancing around making friends like Zee- but he understands not wanting to approach someone first. (Someday.... over the rainbow, where the blue birds fly.)

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) Wonder heard her name and her ears flattened against her head as she turned to look at Boz. She turned away from the nest she was pointlessly nudging to meet his gaze. "Boz..." she murmured in response. She crept forward, weaving in between the nests on her way. She looked like a kit who was about to be reprimanded. It was better than some of the previous times. The first time she had hesitantly approached him like this, when he had acknowledged her, she been hesitant to approach until actually invited. So approaching before invited was actually a big step for her, but concerned for her friend as she was, she couldn't stand the wait any longer. Once she came to a stop by his nest, she looked him over, the concern clear in her green gaze. Now that Boz was before her, all the plans she had made on what to say had all vanished like mist. This often happened to be the case. She didn't know why she bothered trying to predict the best conversation pathway when it was always for naught. She knew she couldn't stand hovering silently over Boz's nest forever, so she decided to say something~ anything! "I heard about what happened," she murmured before meeting his gaze. "... ...Does it hurt?"(Lol. ^^)

Boz w/ Wonder (Light ) Location // The Barn
Boz watched with slow, green blinking eyes as Wonder approached, just a bit less hesitant as last time. His head tilts where it's sat on the edge of his temporary (and disliked) nest, tail flicking idly next to him. Wonder always sounded.. a bit, almost- uh, scared? Whenever she approaches him.. but she still does it, so she can't be literally scared. Right? Oh Stars, hopefully. With his nose twitching, he looks up at her, flicking his ear politely when she says his name, pausing at her question. He glances over to his paw, said offender twitching, making him wince just a tiny bit before he looks back to Wonder. "..Just a bit, Zee says it'd be good to not walk too much for.. a while." He says, ears drooping, it hurts more than a bit, but he's not yowling in pain. He shook his head, looking up to her with a tinge of curiosity. "How are you doing Wonder? How's.. ah, Alice?" He asks, shifting the subject. His eyes and ears are on her intently, glittering with curiosity, mind running a rushing river a minute. He's sure she's been doing quite a bit more than he has, by the stars.. he never really thought of what'd be like to.. not be able to walk without pain. The thought makes his ears tilt, "I hope you've both been good." He says idly, giving her a friendly, and affectionate blink, glancing to the side for a moment. "You.. can sit down, if you'd like." He offers, she's always a bit.. like those stories of cats who're really, well, dead, but consume other cat's blood. They.. well, according to Zee, have to be invited in?Zee.. where does he get any of those stories from?
(If they're any misspells, It's cause I was a tad tired when I wrote this- xD)

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) Wonder leaned forward and sniffed at his extended forepaw, her ears twitching back in sympathy. Boz's paws seemed restless, like all he really wanted was to go somewhere. This was probably pretty hard on him. At his question, she raised her head and her ears perked a tad. "I am well, and so is Alice," she replied with a nod and a smile. "I was out hunting this morning, so I didn't know what happened until I got back." She felt some of her nervousness fade away as she spoke. In the past few days since becoming friends, she had been quick to warm up around Boz. His friendly blink helped her relax further. She sat down by his nest where it'd be easy for them to converse and curled her tail around her paws. "How did it happen?" If she had been here, would she have been able to keep him from being hurt?(Thaaat explains it! That's why Wonder stalks the other cats, why she usually has more nocturnal activity, why she is hesitant to approach others. She is a vampire cat! Dun dun dunnnnn!)

Boz w/ Wonder (Light) Location // The Barn
Boz shifted idly, sending a slightly exasperated glance at his twitching paw. It's certainly not going to get better anytime soon like that. Breathing out quietly but sharply through his nose, he looks back up kindly, if a bit of an offhanded neutral towards Wonder, tail flicking behind him. It's good to hear they're both doing well, is it always is, his ear flicking in kind with his happiness at their.. good health? being alive-?, oh-kay, maybe not quite that, good hunting maybe? He gave her his usual look, just casual observance. "Hunting? You're quite good at that, you know. Better than me anyway." He says with a genuine, tone, tilting his head curiously. Surely she's got to know she's a good hunter? He laughs a bit internally at his idea from a few days ago, imagine calling her Huntress? His ears perked, one tilting down idly at the noises around the barn, the other at her question. They tilt down a moment later, a hidden, but still quite embarrassed look on his face. "I.. missed a jump is all. I just landed on my paw wrong." He says simply, not wanting to elborate much further. The moment he'd jumped, and realized he'd missed, he'd been too tired and groggy to correct himself fast enough, landing on his paw very, very heavily, and crookedly after trying to fix it mid air. Way too late, he'll add a tad miserably. He's not one for complaining too much, but this... is not fun. At all. Boz shrugs one shoulder, careful to not jostle the other. "I'll be fine."
(Pffftttt- Boz knew she was such a good hunter for a reason, enhanced senses! It all makes sense now. If she's a vampire, does that mean he's an owl inca(t)rnate or something-)

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) "Oh... I don't know about that. You're pretty good too." Wonder's ears tilted back, warm with bashfulness. Despite her awkwardness at receiving the compliment, she was also clearly tickled and pleased by it. "Though I don't think I'll ever catch up to Alice." Not that she minded. She worked hard at hunting because she enjoyed it, not so she could surpass others at it. Though she wouldn't deny that it did feel good to at least have some skill at something. "But thanks," she added, with a small smile, squeezing her eyes closed for a moment. "Ouch..." Wonder's ears tipped back sympathetically. She had been surprised when she had heard, but she really shouldn't have been. With the kinds of jumps she'd seen Boz do, it was a wonder that this hadn't happened before. She could see the embarrassed look on his face- despite his trying to hide it. She didn't know if she should press further, not wanting to offend her friend, but after all the time they had been spending together lately, she couldn't resist throwing it out there, "Another one of your big jumps?" she asked, barely managing to keep a neutral expression on her face. To show any amusement would surely be an insult, and she had no intention to do that. She decided she wouldn't bug him so much about it after this last question. Maybe this experience would teach him to be more careful in the future. Wonder was simply happy to know that the injury likely wasn't permanent, or that's what she had heard. So before long, Boz would be back to his paws, roaming about as he always did. Wonder smiled softly at the thought. She leaned toward his paw once more, glancing at Boz as she did, before very, very carefully touching it with her nose. It was a bit on the hot side. Gears churned in her brain as she pulled back, and her ears perked as an idea came to mind. (So thaat's why he likes the sky so much, and jumps from such high places! XO And doesn't like to be trapped in small spaces with the potential of caving in! Owlcat.)

Boz w/ Wonder (Light ) Location // The BarnBoz's ears tilt, happy she actually took the compliment this time, giving a small nod, "Alice is quite the hunter." He says idly, watching as she does that thing where her eyes squeeze shut for a moment before opening. Boz's tail whiskers twitch, 'ouch' indeed. The tom shifted his paw slightly, thinking back to the jump. It wasn't like he'd jump from the rafters to the bottom of the Barn floor, but the jumped he'd made certainly wasn't good either. Glancing up at her question, Boz snorting, "It wasn't that big... it was from the top rafters, down to the ones below, but I misjudged it and landed on the loft instead." He decides to just explain it, his tail twitching behind him with a quiet sigh. "Zee laughed, the first words out of his mouth was, 'You're not a bird, Boz.', he helped me get down here after that.. and told me not to walk unless I needed to." Boz's ears tilt down slightly when she nudges his paw with a visible display of gentleness, the tom's eyes blinking kindly in response. His ears perk back up not long after, a small look of genuine confuddlement on his face. "It wasn't even that high." He adds quietly after a moment, eyes squinted in thought. It really wasn't, even jumping from the top rafters down to the loft isn't that high, "Most cat's think it's high, they just don't know how to land properly." He explains with a huff after a moment, 'His' big jumps are quite reasonable to him. If you just roll, or bend your legs appropriately, you'll be fine. Of course don't jump from unreasonable places, that'd just not end well. The tom's whiskers twitch in his internal debate before he sighs, and looks up to Wonder, an ear quirked curiously.
(This explains so much, vampire cat, and owlcat. Perfectly reasonable explanations. Also- Boz literally a hundred percent believes the jump wasn't even that hiiiigh, he's like, cat to the core with that. As reasonable of a cat as he is, when it comes to high places? It ain't even that high, lol.)

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) Indeed, the rafters and the loft were not too far apart. At least he had made it to the loft. Wonder shivered at the idea that he might have missed the loft. She didn't even want to think about what might have happened then. She couldn't resist a soft purr of amusement at his repeated insistence that it hadn't been very high. The purr came to a halt on his last comment, where she tilted her head, not quite agreeing with that statement. She paused in thought a moment, before carefully speaking. "I'm sure they know how~ I think they'd just rather not risk it. After all. We all make mistakes." Her thoughtful expression softened and she simply smiled down at Boz. "But in any case, I'm just glad that you're okay." She stood as she spoke and tapped his side with her tail as she started to pad away. "Hang on, I'll be right back," she called back before trotting away, easily maneuvering between the nests. She made her way to the barn entrance and took a few steps out into the snow, she fiddled around in the clean snow until she found a lump of small mouse-sized lump of snow that she could easily hold in her mouth. She carefully closed her teeth upon it and trotted back into the barn and to Boz's nest. It was unpleasantly cold against her teeth. When she got there, she quickly set it beside his injured paw, and breathed out warm air in attempt to bring warmth back to her teeth. "Can you lift it just a bit?" she asked him, hoping it wouldn't hurt him too much to do so. Her paw was ready to tuck it under if he did. (Lol.) (Wonder's like an old car. It takes a while to warm up in the winter after sitting unused for a bit. But once she's warm, she works just fine.)

Boz w/ Wonder (Light) Location // The BarnBoz's ears twitched and turned, like he had an itch he couldn't scratch. Boz let out a small, barely audible sigh at Wonder's words, giving a small nod. "I suppose. I just figure if I know how, and can do it reliably, there's no reason not to." He says in reply, watching as she got up and started to make her way away. His face twisted to idle confusion, flicking his ear thankfully at her, if a bit confused. Did Boz scare her away already-? Ah, nope, she's probably just going to grab something. Boz just shifts on the nest, sending a tired glance to his paw, the joint sending a tiny jolt of pain through his ankle, the tom wincing slightly at the feeling. He let out a quiet, and exasperated noise, similar to a chirp, and a hiss, before he just shook his head, ears tilted down slightly. Boz figures he might refrain from jumping somewhere.. risky(?) while he's tired, at least, depending on where he is. He's a reasonable cat, he just figures he should use abilities he knows he has. He glances up offhandedly when she makes her way back in, head tilting inquisitively at her package, his paw twitching at it's proximity to the cold little bit of icy, compacted snow. Boz looks up to her, figuring to go along with it, and lifted his paw with a small wince, doing his best to ignore the wince of pain. It's easy to say he's not a big fan of pain, like most cat's he'd assume. Well, hope anyway.
(pft- that reminds me of my dads car xD Always have to wait for it to warm up before driving in the cold. And Boz is gonna go right back to jumping around once he's better xD Maybe just a bit more careful.)

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) Boz had a point. And while she hoped that he'd be more careful, she knew she couldn't force him to. It was not her place to. Boz was his own cat, he made his own decisions, and faced his own consequences. And he was pretty talented at jumping, she'd give him that. She'd seen him land long jumps with relative ease, almost as if he was half bird or something. Wonder's whiskers twitched in amusement. She could very easily have made a similar mistake, so she would not judge him too harshly for it. Any "flack" she gave- if it could even be considered that -was because she cared for her friend. When Boz lifted his paw, Wonder tucked the little package of snow underneath his injury with her forepaw. She peered at Boz's face, inquisitive as to the given effect of the chunk of cold snow against his paw. She wasn't sure if it would feel good against the heat, or if it would make things worse by making him too cold. If it was the latter, she was prepared to remove it at a moment's notice. As a normally overcareful cat by nature, she'd never really sprained anything before. The only experience she had with it, is from what she had observed among the cats here at the barn. "How is it?" she asked after a few seconds, almost seeming to hold her breath as she awaited an answer. (Ah yes. The joys of being able to do it all over again once you can move. XD You can take the cat out of the jump, but you can't take the jump out of the cat.)

Boz w/ Wonder (Light) Location // The BarnBoz had to keep himself from flinching when he set his paw softly onto the snow, feeling the cold seep into his paw.. not quite soothing, but- it did help the pain just a tinge. He let it be, glancing up to Wonder, his ear flicking casually. "Better." Boz says after a moment of contemplation. It's not bad, but it's not.. an instant fix, the cold might help somehow though, always worth testing. With a curious chatter, he looks up to the Barn's ceiling, squinting at the rafters with a more curious look. "I've always wonder-ed how they created these. They're not.. natural, like the trees that grow in the forest." He starts, easily straight faced even with the too good of a easy to slip in pun, dallying about his curious words casually. "They are made from wood, this one anyway.. do the twolegs make them? The Farmers cut down the tree's sometimes, especially now during the cold." He says with a small shrug of his head. If they can cut it, they can probably shape it into things like this. Using this sharp, metallic pieces, and that odd smelling stuff between crevices of logs and wood to keep them together. Looking over to Wonder, green eyes glittering. "Have you seen anything about how they make these, while you were in the Farmer's dens?" He asks, head tilted. "I know Zee sometimes goes inside the towleg den, not often, but he's not mentioned anything when I've asked." He adds, trailing off, his tail twitching as he rambles in an obvious note of curiosity, and fascination.
(Boz is the jump. Seriously, he created it, lol) (And I thought it might be a bit interesting if maybe sometime Boz and Wonder sort of.. sneak into a twoleg den in the little town sometime, later down the line of course, just so she can show him and explain stuff inside of one.)

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) Wonder's ears perked and she smiled happily when he said he felt better. She took a step back, looking pleased, as if she had just found the cure. She then sat down beside him once more as he began to ponder aloud. Wonder chirred a soft laugh when he used her name as a sort of pun. Her ears perked when he mentioned the farmers cutting down trees in the cold. "I've seen the farmers throw tail-length sections of tree into a fire box. It's always warmer around there- and it's warmth spreads through the entire den." She glanced up at the rafters far above them. "As for things like that... I haven't seen anything in the den... but I think I've seen something similar in one of the farmer's favourite bins. It's not anything like the old bins. It's a sturdy den-like structure with a stone floor, but the only way in is with the farmer~ and usually he doesn't want us in there, but I caught a glimpse by the door once. There were so many strange objects all around, big, small, loose, or contained. The scents in there are harsh, some absolutely horrid, while others were metallic, or like a very strong tree scent. Before I had to go, I caught a glimpse of a few similar sticks of wood, but much smaller." Wonder lowered her gaze to look back at Boz and suppressed a shiver. "It's kind of a creepy place- I don't like it very much at all. Sometimes, the most loud, eerie of noises come from that bin. Almost like the screeches of a dying cat." Not that she'd ever heard the screeches of a dying cat, but she was sure it would've sounded something like that. Wonder's ears flattened against her head at the memory. (Oh no! Not the bins again! Lol. In this case, she means the garage- the one the farmer uses as a shop for all his fixing and building duties.) (Ooh, I think that'd be fun. ^^)

Boz w/ Wonder (Light) Location // The Barn
He watched carefully was Wonder explained, his hackles rising just a tinge at the word 'bins' before the small twitch in his whiskers settles at 'sturdy'. This... twoleg bin still doesn't seem all that nice either, loud- screeching like a dying cat? Boz pauses at that, ears twitching in familiarity. "I think.. Zee did mention something like that once. I believe.. that's the sounds of them- ah, fixing things they use?" He offers, head tilted to the brim with curiosity. "The really loud ones they use on the farm?" He adds after a moment. " Spackle said they help with growing the things the twolegs.. ah, grow." He pauses, blinking in thought. "They also have those really loud ones they use on the roads.. maybe it's those too? I know most twolegs have them at their dens, and they sometimes sound different." His ears tilt, thinking back to a very.. very close call on the road he'd had. Spackle hadn't found him yet- and well. A too young kitten down by the road isn't a very great mix.
[/div] (Boz is all like -cue flashbacks-, and I figured.. i understand that screeching cat sound xD I've had to help my family in the garage a lot ._.) (And yeah! Just lemme know when you wanna do it )

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) Wonder dipped her head in a slow nod and pulled her tail in close. She tried to lay her fur flat, but the reminiscence of the sound sent chills through her fur. "Maybe. It's true the monsters often come in and out of there." Was it a sound made by fixing them, as Zee said? Or was it perhaps a sound monsters made? Were they in pain when it happened? She looked at Boz when he mentioned Spackle's comment. That would explain why the massive monsters would often drive out to the fields. She always took care to give a wide berth around those ones. The farmer really did have a lot of monsters of many different sizes. There were even some old decrepit ones that sat out back in the bushes behind the house. She didn't know how they possibly used those terrifying things to grow... plants? But somehow they did. Why they would go and plant things in rows in the fields was beyond her, though since it was all she'd known, she had never really questioned it before. Wonder's tail flicked thoughtfully behind her. "Twolegs can be quite peculiar."Her ears perked as she thought of a question she'd had on her mind the past few days. "I've been meaning to ask... Spackle. Is he... your father?" she asked hesitantly, glancing at Boz. She hoped her question wasn't too forward or personal.
(Lol. Was kind of tired last night so I might have rambled. Yeah. XD My dad does a lot of fixing up on a lot of his machinery too. I really should pick up a thing or two from him one of these days. It's a good skill to have- fixing your own stuff. It can make things a lot cheaper.) (I'll just say she heard someone call them monsters once and it just stuck.) (Sure. It might be a bit later if you mean the town that would be across the moors, the river and the forest from the farm. XD)

Boz w/ Wonder (Light) Location // The BarnBoz nodded, not pausing at her use of the word 'monster', it seems a lot of the cats around are insistent on calling them that. They're twoleg machines, he supposes monster isn't the worst term for them though, he would know. He chattered a quiet, agreeing, if slightly amused noise at her other words. "We're probably the same to them, imagine us? Tiny little things, maybe they call us 'Fourlegs'?." He says, head tilted with a tiny grin, the snow under his paw partially melting, leaving it a bit uncomfortably wet. But it helps the sting some, so he's inclined to leave it a bit longer. His ears tilt, head tilting, "Hm? Oh, not by blood no." He answers easily, used to the question by now. Spackle found him.. a while ago now, by his standards anyway. He'd barely been able to walk when he'd gotten dropped off the side of the road. He doesn't really know how, why, or.. much else in complete honest. "He found me when I was younger, just by the road- ah, thunderpath that's not too, too far from here." He explains casually, blinking in thought for a moment. He certainly remembers that road well, besides traveling over it often now.. he remembers the distinct look of the circular parts on their machines being far closer than comfortable. "Apparently he didn't even bat an eye when he found me, just took me somewhere else.. and I was his to care for." He figures he'd add it, as a show of more genuine, friendly honesty. It's not like it's a secret or anything, just not information he often divulges, is someone asks, perhaps, but.. still. It's a bit odd telling how your life started to a cat you barely know, and he knows he knows Wonder at least a little bit more than that.
( so much cheaper, Getting things fixed, like anything machine really- is soooo expensive ._.) (And I figured! Boz just has, as much as he's not been around twolegs, he's got more of their lingo.) (And someday.. xD Whenever they so happen to finally grow up a little, and adventure further out, lol.)

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) Wonder chirred in laughter at the suggestion that twolegs would call them fourlegs. The term would lump them together with quite a few animals. The term two-legs would lump them with birds. Perhaps twolegs were just large, flightless, featherless birds. Wonder's whiskers continued to twitch at the thought, but she mellowed a bit as she thought of how intelligent they were, and how the farmers had always cared for her. No... That wasn't fair. They were clearly in a league of their own. Wonder's ears perked as she listened intently to Boz's origin story. By the road? Alone? How did he end up being there? What had happened to his parents? Not that she was one to talk. Her own mother had died when she was very young~ which she had only learnt about last spring when she joined the barncats. When Boz went further to describe the story, her concern turned to relief and new respect for the cat that went by the name of Spackle. Alice was related to her by blood, but she never would have known had Alice not told her~ she wondered if the relationship she had with Alice was similar to the one Boz had with Spackle. Her tail flicked happily behind her. "I'm glad he did," she purred. If Spackle had never brought Boz to the barn, would Wonder have ever gotten to know him- to become friends with him? If someone else had found him back then, would he even be the same cat? After becoming friends with Boz, she didn't even want to consider going back to the way things had been before. Her ears suddenly perked as she remembered something she had planned to share with him after her little hunting trip. "Hey, do you want know what I found while out hunting today?"(Definitely. XP) (Wonder has a bit of both lingos, but is really kind of unsure what to stick with. If she hears something called one thing enough times, she will start calling it that too.) (Yeah!)

Boz Location // The Barn
Boz's thoughts drifted towards when he'd first been found for a moment, not that he'd remembered all that much to begin with. Mostly just.. the sounds, and how he'd felt. He gives Wonder a small smile, more soft at her words, before his tail flicked curiously, the smile dropping, and being replaced with his usual look. Just a tinge more curious. His ears twitched, glancing down to the now mostly melted snow under his paw, tired of.. well, laying down. With a look of, what is either annoyance or determination, he moves to sit up properly. He's careful, only using his healthy paw to sit up, wincing when he habitually puts a bit of weight on his hurt paw. He's quick, but careful, to lift it up, keeping it there as he looks up to Wonder.
"Yes, I do." He says simply, brows furrowed, and tail flicking in curiosity, his tone excepting. If there's ever something anyone can figure out easily, it's that Boz always wants to know. If she found it while hunting.. maybe one of those oddly colored creatures? He's heard of some that are fully white, with red tinged eyes. Al- albino? Something along those words.
He... has an odd remembrance of that, he could almost swear he's seen a cat like that once, when he'd been young. Before meeting Spackle he'd say.
(Boz just switches what words he uses depending on who he's talkin' to. But if it's around someone who knows what he's talking about he just goes with what he usually uses.) (And Boz had someone there when he was very young, an adult albino cat .w.)

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) "Well, you see... I was padding out near the pond near the cows shelter, and I encountered the strangest thing! The ground gave way to a very slippery surface- hard as rock. It was as cold as the snow, if not more. When I reached it, I completely wiped out. I could barely even keep my feet under myself on that surface." Wonder looked down at her paws, flexing her claws in and out. She lifted her head to meet Boz's gaze once more. Though nervous, she was also a bit excited at the discovery. "I managed to make it back to solid ground with slow careful steps- and I just knew I had to tell you all about it when I got back." The slippery surface was new and fascinating to her~ while it frightened her, it also garnered her curiosity. Perhaps if Boz came with her to check it out sometime... Her ears twitched as she glanced down at his paw. "Maybe when you're better, we can check it out together," she suggested with perked ears and a smile. Maybe it could be something they could both look forward to. (That makes sense. ^^ My cats will probably be similar.) (Oooh. That's really cool. Someday Wonder might get thinking about it again and ask. XP Apparently her thoughts just keep fluttering about, constantly getting distracted by themselves. Hehe. Scatterbrain. Ah yes. That's what that is called.) (I hope it's okay, mentioning some random pond. Water sources like that can be handy when you have lots of animals. Let's say it's a fairly small pond, but big enough to water some animals.)

Boz w/ Wonder Location // The Barn
Boz's ears tilted as she explained. That sounded... familiar. As she went on explaining it came back to him, his tail swishing. He's always made sure to avoid the slippery smooth water that freezes in the colder seasons, but he still sometimes goes over just to put his paws on it for curiosities sake. "I think..- do you remember there being a pond there? Where the odd ground is?" He asks, head tilted. Sometimes rain can fill up dips, that eventually get frozen over with water, or just ponds that are naturally around the farm land. "If it was- I think you're talking about 'ice', it's frozen water." He explains idly, his ears perking at the idea of going to see it. "Spackle and Zee said they once went... sort of sliding on it?" He says, face twisting to an inquisitive one. He quickly realizes he should make sure to say he would definitely want to go see it with her.
"Ah- I would like to go see it though. Perhaps we could try to do what they did? The sliding.. thing." He says, ears perking, "Don't... try to lick it though." He adds plainly after a moment. "That was- well. Not the best experience." He says, nose scrunching.
(You're all good! I figure Boz might know a few extra things Wonder wouldn't since he's had like, a winter here before. I'd say that's around the time Boz got first found. And Boz is like, a.. concentraced brain-? xD Bozy boi is gonna be like a fricken Sage when he's older.)

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) Wonder's eyes flicked to the side as she thought back. She was quiet for a while before starting to nod. She nodded hesitantly at first, then as the thought further, she nodded more firmly with growing confidence "Yes. I'm pretty sure that was where the pond was." Her face furrowed in confusion. How peculiar. If that was where the pond was, where was the water? "Ice?" she repeated, her eyes widening and her ears perking. Water that froze. Did that mean she had been standing on water?! How was that even possible? At the mention of Spackle and Zee, she could most certainly see cats sliding around on that strange surface. It was almost like the ground cover in the farmer's den, but slipperier and colder. "Sliding on water?" she mewed like a soft echo to her own thoughts. She was bewildered by this strange new idea. It was both fascinating and peculiar~ sounding more like a made-up story than reality. But she had stood on it herself, and Boz was quite intelligent... it HAD to be true. "Wait... All the water is now hard? Why? Is it because of the snow?" This was mindblowing content right here. A revelation of the ages! Her wide eyes snapped back to Boz when he added the part about licking it. The tom had his nose scrunched at the memory. "Why? What happens? Does it taste bad?" she asked all at once. Her ears twitched, a sign of slight embarrassed at her own eager tone.
(Yeah! Thought I might as well throw in stuff that Wonder doesn't know about yet so Boz can enlighten her. XD Boz, the great Sage that all the kits go to, so they can hear all of his grand tales and deep knowledge. The wizard of BOz, lol.) (That's good though. His concentration will counteract Wonder's disorderly brain. She thinks a lot about a lot of things when with other cats, so much so that she loses track of a lot of it and can end up on a completely different topic, go back to the last topic, etc. It's when she is quiet and alone that her thoughts become more orderly- almost painfully so, when she reruns every single thing that has happened in the past while. Like, wait... Did I offend that cat earlier? They gave me a weird look. XD Silly stuff like that. ) (Just to let you guys know, I won't be around tomorrow. I might be back by Monday or Tuesday though!)

Boz, Zee w/ Wonder (Light) Location // The BarnBoz's ears perked excitedly, always eager and happy to explain more of his knowledge. "It's not just from the snow- the cold actually makes the water freeze, and turn into ice. That's also what the snow is, little, very tiny specks of ice that fall from the clouds." He explains, tone just as eager as Wonder's. He still doesn't quite know how the cold makes water turn to ice, or how the soft, puffy looking big clouds in the sky carry small bits of ice, but he knows that's how it is. Just.. not how it works. His head tilts at her next quick fired question, his tail flicking, adjusting his paw to take more weight off of it. He tilts to the side for a moment, but catches himself with a wince before adjusting again, and looking back up perfectly excited and eager once more. "It doesn't-" He pauses, the grimace on his face again. "It tastes perfectly fine, just cold and like water always does.. ah," His ears tilt in a bit of annoyance at the memory. "it just.. latches onto your tongue for some reason, so I.. got a bit stuck until the ice melted." He explains, a laugh coming from behind Wonder, a familiar, fox like laugh. "Oh, that was priceless. Ya' ever want somethin' entertaining? A teensy weensy kit with their tongue stuck to ice." He says, sitting down with a small mice being dropped.. but- a toy mouse? Zee smells strongly of twolegs, the Farmer's to be specific, his fur all nice and sleek, and oddly perfect like it always is after he visits the twolegs. He has a satisficed, offhanded grin on his face, looking between Boz and Wonder with a toothier version of his usual grin. "That teensy memory is gonna be stuck with me forever. This kitto.. so curious, you know how many times he's almost gotten himself hurt? Like say, jumping down and hurting his paw?" He says lightly, but pointedly, getting a plain look from Boz. Zee just laughs, like he's not there. "This is the, what? Almost Seventh time?" He says, sighing dramatically, his long tail swishing behind him. Boz pauses at that, giving Zee a squinted look. "What- ? No, this is only the fifth time." Boz states, tone matter o' fact. Zee shrugs, "Technicalities."Boz's shoulders droop, huffing. Zee just gives his cutting grin again, nudging the little toy mouse to Boz, who's interesting is quickly caught by it. His pupils blow wide before he shakes his head, nose scrunching as he stares at the obnoxiously pink, and odd smelling fake mouse.
(Boz is such a like, why was that cat offended? I was just curious to their age? What's so wrong with that? Like, it's a simple question, how is a fact offensive? And the only time Boz really goes scatterbrain is in random moments of pure excitement, like OH! They're gonna go see something he's never heard of before or something.) (And YUS. Grand Sage Boz (And The Wizard of BOz is where I inspired his name from! I just added a B xD), and his friend who's a Wonder and delight to be around. That could be a funny story for when they're in the clan sometime? Like, how did they end up such good friends? And one apprentice is just like, Boz likes Wonder-ful things I guess?) (And I hope you have a good few days! This shall be here for ya when you're able to respond, lol)

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) Wonder listened intently with wide eyes. So it was the cold that did it! So that meant that the snow was like... frozen rain? Or something like that? Boz truly was quite the keeper of knowledge. Surprising for someone so close to her age. Was it because he had more experience outdoors, travelling around? It was times like this Wonder almost wished that she had experienced more in her younger years. Her ears perked as he went on to explain the taste of the ice. It seemed freezing didn't effect the taste of it, but how in the world would it make it stick to his tongue. "Stuck?!" It was the last thing she would have expected on such a slippery surface. "How did you get unstuck?"Her ears twitched at Zee's voice, and she turned to watch the posh tom approach. He smelt wonderfully of the farmer and he dropped a pink mouse at his feet. Her initial excitement at seeing the mouse was distracted by Zee's somewhat amusing and concerning story. She had been starting to get more accustomed to the blue tom coming and going whenever she spent time with Boz. Wonder glanced between the two toms, unsure if she should be amused or concerned. She ended up with a strange expression halfway between; a small smile and a concerned gaze. Her expression tilted more towards concern when she heard that this wasn't Boz's first time. She glanced in his direction to see if it was true. When he claimed that it was "only" five times, there was no better proof than that. "Only FIVE times?!" Wonder echoed in quiet exclaimation, giving an almost imperceptible shake of her head. Boz, Boz, Boz... She was going to have to keep an eye on him. Her ears perked once more when she saw Boz with the mouse. Their previous conversation completely vanished from thought as she tapped it with a paw. "I remember this! I used to play with this when I was back in the Farmer's den." She paused then, a bit concerned as a thought occurred to her. She leaned forward to give it a sniff for verification, searching for that odd, but strangely tantalizing scent. An involuntary prrrrow escaped her, along with an upward flick of the tail. She pulled away and gave Zee a questioning glance. (No. Don't tell me... XD Is it a catnip toy?) (Ah yes. Wonder has a habit of blaming herself more than she blames others.) (Wait really?! He really was inspired from the Wizard of BOz? I love that.) (Ahh. The puns are killing me! XD I love them! Wonder would be tickled by it as well.)

Boz, Zee w/ Wonder (Light) Location // The Barn
Boz watched in idle amusement, and his own excitement, as Wonder learned more about the cold season, the ice, the snow- and the other things that came with it. His tail flicked, nose scrunching. "It sort of.. latches onto your tongue? Know how your tongue has.. the little hooks on them? The ice latches onto those." He explains, thinking a into a tad more now. "Ah.. I waited until the ice melted. Which. That.. took quite a while." He adds, grimacing. Not a fond memory, though he does remember Zee laughing his tail off at him. Zee gives an amused, and sharp grin towards Wonder. "Yep," He says with a pop, ", this little tom here has a habit of jumping from high places. He jumped from the tom of the entire Barn itself to a pile of hay on the dirt. He even did a little flip- His face was a delight to observe." Zee says, putting a paw over his muzzle, trying to keep himself from absolutely wheezing at the memory. (*inserts leap of faith reference from Assassin's Creed*)Boz flicks his tail, ignoring the older tom in favor of the little toy, ear quirking at Wonder's reaction to it. Probably just fond of a toy she used to play with, he thinks as he leans down to give it a sniff- Oh. That.. smells oddly pleasant. Zee is quick to put his paw on the fake mouse, and bring it closer to himself, giving them both a small grin. "You, kitto, would be correct. The Farmer's tossed the toy at me so I could.. play with it. I assume. And this odd, little red light-" He shakes his head, blue furred ear swiveling as he hears the call of another cat. "Well, that's my lovely cue to leave, I'll leave you two kit's to it." He says, leaning down to yoink the fake mouse, and trot after his friend. Boz glances towards Wonder, head tilting slightly in a inquisitive manner. "Why did it smell like that?" He asked, whiskers twitching at the left over scent from it. "It.. was not something I've smelt before?" He says, it almost tasted good even. (Yes. It is a catnip toy xD And Zee yoinked it to show one of his friendo-s, lol. None of dat for the youngin's) (Dawe, yeah, dat ain't gonna last long with how Boz is xD Logical little dude. Like, how can it be your fault if it isn't your fault?) (And YES! Love the phunnys, and it actually was inspired from the Wizard of BOz! I'm glad someone actually guessed that- lol.)

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) Ouch. She'd have to make sure not to lick the ice at all costs. At Zee's additional story of one of Boz's jumps, Wonder's jaw gaped. He what?! Wonder whipped her head to look at Boz with wide panicked eyes. Of all the things she'd seen, that one sounded like a death-wish. As Boz investigated the pink mouse, Wonder watched Zee, unsure if she should say something. A breath of relief escaped Wonder as Zee pulled the mouse away; relief for both herself and Boz. She watched him go with vague concern. He and his friend would be fine, right? "It's a toy the farmer used to give me sometimes. It smells good, tastes good, and can make you really.... really happy. Like... strangely so." She shuffled her paws and looked down, a bit embarrassed now that she thought about it. She liked it and enjoyed it, but the way she acted when playing with it... could be called nothing less than embarrassing. She wasn't sure what was in it, but whatever it was, it was deceivingly effective. (It also helps cure green cough/whitecough in the warrior cat series. ;3) (What if Big Daddy's gang used to deal in Catnip with some of the locals? XP) (Aw. Wonder will appreciate that. ^^) (Yay! XD It was the sage part that made me think of it.)

Boz w/ Wonder (Light) Location // The Barn
Boz's ears tilted at her explanation, expression furrowing. Strangely happy..? He pauses at that, "That- reminds me of something Spackle told me." He says, tail swishing behind him. And yes, many things he knows is because Spackle and Zee have told them.. most of their life experiences. "He mentioned.. this plant? It always made him sorta.. loopy. He always said not to go near it-" He pauses at that, nose scrunching. "He said he got all wobbly and.. cloudy minded." He explained, eyes narrowing. "Ah- it's not like- not bad, he just didn't like how it mad him all.. like you said. Sorta- weird acting?" He explained, setting his tail flat on the ground behind him. "Well. He didn't tell this to me, I just listened to him and Zee but- I wasn't uninvited." He mumbles off handedly, ears swiveling. Now that he's thinking about it.. he's kind of hungry. He glances up, paws moving habitually, getting a wince from the tom as he readjusts it a moment later. Ow. His fur puffed up slightly, ears perking as he listened to the sounds of chirping, "You.. said you went hunting earlier?" He asks, head tilting slightly, and pupils oddly blown. (Sorry if it seems like he knows everything xD I just know Spackle would have told him a jack ton of stuff- even if indirectly. I promise he's gonna have some stuff he don't know .w. And Boz is totally the kind of cat to get suppper easily effected catmint.) (And they ain't getting sick then, lol. And that would be hilarious- maybe that's why Spackle doesn't like it xD He's never been a fan of things that sorta.. take away his control of his own body and mind?) (And now I think it'd be funny if, during Halloween, the Farmer's dressed them up as things, Owl cat and Vampire cat-)

Feathertalon same, I’m hoping to get some replies done here! Sorry I’ve been off, but a mix of school, work (and now lack of), and getting thrown headlong back into my Star Wars phase (thanks soot lol), not to mention I have no clue where any threads are (or where the last replies for them are). If I have threads with anyone that it’s my reply on, please lmk! I’m gonna try to go through and see if I can’t find them, but that may be too overwhelming for me. Next quarter I’m only taking two classes, so I hopefully should be better off. I’m also gonna be basically home all December (unless I get a new job, here’s hoping), so I should have more time then as well!

Gardenia and Wisteria Location: Forest With: Frazzle ( Light ) Wisteria tilted her head slightly when Frazzle mouthed something to her, having no clue what he was trying to say. She perked up a bit when he seemed to disappear into the rock, looking concerned, but didn't want to risk going down there. This slope wasn't something she was going to mess with in the winter. She kept watching, before she mewed in surprise at the mice scattering out of the hole. So that was what had given Frazzle pause. She laid down and swiped a paw out, snagging one of the mice that had been trying to climb up the slope. She dispatched it quickly, standing with it in her mouth once Frazzle finally made it out of the cave. FrazzleLocation: Forest With: Wisteria and Gardenia ( runningsky123 ) In the dark, Frazzle pulled his two mice close with his paws, and managed to bite down on the tail of one and what he thought to be a leg on the other. Then in a slow process of wriggling and stepping back, he managed to bring himself and his prey back out into the open air. He stood up and arched his back in a celebratory stretch. Then with eyes shining, he hopped back up to the level which the bowing tree stood, back where he had left the others. The first thing he saw when he landed back beneath the tree was Whisp (Wisteria) standing there with a mouse in her jaws. His fur was in a hot mess, sticking out in all sorts of strange directions, and his white chest and belly were smudged with dirty snow. He padded further beneath the bowing tree and set his two limp mice down under the overarching clawlike branches. As he lifted his head, he grinned at Whisp (Wisteria). "Nice catch!" (He apparently hasn't remembered their names properly yet. XD If I recall correctly, Frazzle is showing them around to potential homes on his way to visiting an old friend. So far, he's only showed them the bowing tree. He had also commented it was a common place to find mice. He was fooling around of course and managed to nearly tumble down the slope. Wisteria caught him in time, and he then embellished his gratitude to the worried molly. Seeing how Wisteria was worried and Gardenia was upset/worried, he felt bad for his embellishments and went on in attempt to prove that it really wasn't so bad. So he jumped down to the freshly exposed rocks below to prove his point. That was when he noticed a mouse nest within the rocks and thus began the hunt. That is where the quotes kick in. ^^) (Soot: I'll get an rp post up after lunch. :3)
