WonderLocation: Farm With: Boz ( soot ) Wonder watched as he tilted his ears back, but she could tell he wasn't offended, just a little embarrassed. She lifted her gaze to the sky as she listened to him speak. She watched the small flakes drift through the air. She sneezed a moment after a cold flake landed on her nose. She sniffed and focused on one particular flake. What if she was one of those flakes? Slowly floating in the breeze until settling in with all the rest. Her gaze had tracked it down to the snow on the ground when she let out a soft and thoughtful hum. She glanced at Boz again when he laughed, meeting his grateful gaze and letting out a soft laugh of her own. "I wouldn't call it bad," she mewed with a side tilt of one ear and a little smile. "Just at the right time." Wonder took a position not in the front, nor in the back, but right beside Boz as they travelled back. "We can't have him waiting too long, now can we?" She closed her eyes for a moment, with a light chirr. Her paws were feeling a little numb, so it was good they were heading back now. She shook them a little midwalk to try and bring some life back into them. "If I had the option, I think I would rather see peace anyday." She pondered a bit further on his words with a pleasant expression, enjoying the depth at which he seemed to speak. She wasn't afraid of the indoors, and every day made her a little braver around the farm. That was because she lived there~ she knew more about those places. What she feared... must be that which she did not know. "Perhaps the more familiar we are with something, the less chaos we see. Do you think with knowledge, comes more peace?"(Oh nooo. You have awakened Wonders wondering mind. XD It's actually a good fit between them. She's gonna love contemplating his poems in her mind. Boz, the adventurous poet, and Wonder, the curious coward.)

(Just to let everyone know, I probably won't be able to post anything for the next fourish days. We are having a big family Thanksgiving celebration. I might take a peek on here once in a while, and will be able to make small comments and the like. But might be pausing on the roleplaying until Tuesday. We'll see how things go.)

Boz w/ Wonder (Light ) Location // The FarmBoz gave a mild shrug of the tail, just at the right time.. he- likes that. Letting out a quiet, considering chatter as he listened. Chuffing a small laugh in response to Wonder, watching offhandedly as she shook her paws, making him reflexively lift his up a bit, noticing the cold seeping into his darkly padded paws. Quirking an ear, he, considered her words for a moment, brows furrowed as he waited for her before walking again, "It depends on the cat, I'd say. The more knowledge.. comes the more possibility of chaos and peace. The more you learn, the more you know. Some might be so afraid of what they learn, while others might take comfort in the chaos they've learned about, and find that.. well, peace." He says, green eyes sparkling, reflecting the snowy near plains in front of the young pair. His tail flicked, eyes blinking slowly. "I think.. sometimes it's refreshing to see the chaos though, if all we had was peace, I don't think we'd appreciate it as much, if that makes sense? Absence makes the heart grow fonder, is what Lada says." Maybe that's why Spackle travels so much, his heart can't bare absence? "You know- the thing you said about it at being just the right time.. I like that." He pauses, ears flattening, quickly elaborating. "I mean- it's like, no.. luck, no coincidence, just- just the right time." He says, shaking a paw that stepped on a pointer rock. Sending a half hearted glare down at it, he just huffed a small laugh. "See- Like that, I started walking at just the right time for me to end up stepping on the one pointy rock in sight. Confidence? Nope. Just the right time." He says with an oddly giddy smile, like he's just figured out life's greatest secret. Maybe he did figure something out, one of the many secrets of them anyhow, and what better to do with it than share it?
(I hope you have fun! You better tell me all about the food ya'll have- :3 And Boz is returning with his poetics, this time, inspired by our resident Wonder! Literally, lol)

Sunny with Fran whispering Sunny nodded his head slowly, gulping down his mouthful of the food. Though the food was not what he wanted, it was nothing like the pellets he ate in the cageplace. But it also was no mouse. How long had it been since the last time he tasted mouse? Or any freshly killed prey at that. Three moons. Three long moons since he and his family were taken away from their freedom. And now he was trapped in this twoleg den. A sigh escaped the ginger tom as he lapped up the remains in the dish, stepping away to ponder further on his predicament. Amber eyes scanned the kitchen, as Fran had called it; there were windows high up over him, but there was no way he could go through them. The tom knew that much from seeing the transparent walls in the cageplace. He suddenly remembered how cold it had been in the brief moments he was outside. Was it leafbare? It has to be. Sunny's mother told them stories about the cold season, but he hadn't seen for it himself. Maybe Ember has. His mood dampened once more at the thought of his poor brother. Before the capture, it had been leaf-fall, and prey had begun to decline. It will only get worse from here. Their father told them. And Ember was out there all alone. Hopefully, some cat was helping him. Please. Sunny prayed. Fran's soft meow sounded, turning his attention from the window. How was the cageplace? "Er, it was okay, I guess. I lived outside before, but I'm used to twolegs. Me and family would get food from them sometimes..." He trailed off at the mention of his family, his eyes clouding with grief. Would he ever see them again? It was unlikely. "But, I suppose living inside was a change."
Crystal with Kuta Myst "Of course." Crystal mewed with a gentle grin, pausing as her companion did as they neared the stream. Her expression was thoughtful at Kuta's words, padding closer to the water's edge and dabbing a paw where the water trickled slowly from a gaping hole in the ice. The blue-furred molly leaned down to lap idly at the slow-moving water. The iciness sent a shock through her body. She stepped away from the stream, swiping her tongue over her dripping jaws before turning to meet the tabby's gaze. "Maybe your instincts are calling to you. Any average kittypet wouldn't dare to leave its nest for life out here, but you're not average Kuta. I can sense that much about you." Kuta was special. Something deep within her believed that about the tom. It was why he had these strange dreams; it had to be. Then, her gaze shifted towards the distant mountains where Kuta was mentioning. Glancing at the rising sun, she replied, "Before sunset, if we're fast." She murmured, calculating the distance in her head. The stream still stretched a ways away. "We can hunt when we get there if you're up for waiting." Crystal glanced at the tall cat quizically, before setting off again towards the mountains.----- (I am absolutely loving wonder and boz's sprouting relationship :3 I hope you enjoy yourself light! Also, are there any other scenes synced on the same day as cyrstal and Kuta ?)

(Aw thanks guys. I will!) (Glad you like it bleu! I’m quite enjoying it as well. ^^ I’m not sure on that other question. Cotton is the day after the storm. Wonder is an unspecified time relitave to the storm, Frazzle is also the day after.) (Soot: Ah yes. The food. Sounds like we’ll be having a chicken dinner and a ham dinner. Usually we have plenty of stuff from the garden like carrots, mashed or scalloped potatoes, beetniks. Pineapple rings usually go with the ham. There’ll probably be a few other things.)

WonderLocation: Farm With: Boz ( soot ) Wonder watched him thoughtfully as he spoke. Then she looked forwards, her eyes having a faraway look as she walked alongside him. There was a lot to think about in those words. If someone told her a place where foxes dwelt, she would be terrified to go there. But she might have some more peace knowing that she could avoid that location. So... depending on the information, there might be more fear or more comfort, or a mixture of both. "I think it'd depend on the kind of knowledge too," she added with a twitch of her whiskers, her eyes sharpening as she came back to the present. "I think I'd still rather avoid most chaos if at all possible," Wonder mrrowed with an undertone of laughter. Her ears perked when he mentioned her earlier statement. Something warm fluttered and inflated within her as he complimented her words. Her paws felt a tad warmer against the snow, and fresh strength rejuvenated her legs as she padded in her soft careful way. When she saw him shake his paw, her head lowered to look and her ears tipped back in sympathy. She was about to ask if he was okay, but stopped when he spoke up again. Her eyes were wide and ears perked once more as he spoke. Then as he finished, she couldn't help but let out a bit of a soft churr of amusement, her eyes squinting and her ears tilting in the way they often did. "Or in that case, would it be just at the wrong time?"

Boz Location // The Farm
Boz gave a small, considering look at his paw, setting it down carefully. "Technically.. everything, depending on who, and how it effects that who, it could be either be just the right time, or at just the wrong time." Boz says, being careful to avoid the rock as he starts forward again, the sharp pain in his paw, mixed with the cold making it ache just a tad. He easily forgets about it though, in thought. "And yes, most cat's including myself, would most likely prefer the peace. But having a fresh.. dose of the chaos I think is integral. If that makes any sense." He adds, ears swiveling as they get closer and closer to the barn, ears catching the sounds of the various animals he can just barely hear.
He purred quietly for a moment, feeling an uncharacteristic amount of.. ah, contentedness? The tortoiseshell tom pauses for a moment, fur bristling in the slowly picking up wind, his whiskers twitching at the feel of the slowly drifting crystals of ice falling from the unknown, and forever ongoing sky. As far as he knows anyway.
"If we can find peace in chaos, do you think one might.. be able to find chaos in peace?" He asks, an ear quirked in sudden thought. "If we can find.. the peace after learning chaos, maybe someone could find chaos in the peace. Some cats anyway, they might think that way." He finishes, looking up at the snowy clouds with a random idea.
He sticks his tongue out, eyes narrowed in focus as his ears pin to his head, and he waits for a snowflake to lad on his tongue, letting out an accomplished sound when one does.
(Tbh, I like pretty much all carrots xD)

PERCY - with smoke - whispering Even though his stomach was grumbling raucously now that prey was caught, the orange and white tom swallowed down the hunger that was clawing at him with vicious claws. His mouth was watering at the sight of the scrawny squirrel, but he stopped himself from doing anything rash - which was a rather rare occurrence for the loner. He wanted to show some sort of restraint, some kind of manners; Smoke had caught the prey. That meant Smoke could have the first bite. Surprise ruffled his fur when Smoke offered Percy the first bite. He followed the other tom to the covered area, sliding underneath the low hanging tree branch. "You sure? I mean, you caught it and all," Percy mewed, but before Smoke had any time to answer the green eyed tabby was crouched down and sinking his fangs into the still warm flesh. Bliss poured into his body like a ray of sunshine in greenleaf. "Mmm, ith's goodth," he purred through his mouthful, barely giving himself time to chew it before swallowing - though he at least had the decency to paw it back closer to Smoke, allowing his companion a chance to eat as well. CREAMSICLE - with cotton - Light It was upsetting that Cotton wasn't going to teach her how to hunt hawks until after she had been taught to catch rabbits, but Creamsicle supposed it was something she would just have to get over. The thought of having to hear that awful shrieking again sent a shiver down her spine fiercer than even the cold wind could, but she was determined to hunt hawks and protect cats that she cared about from them, so if hunting rabbits was what she had to do to get there, then so be it. Resigned, the young kit nodded. It was obvious she wasn't thrilled with Cotton's decision, but she did not argue with it. At least not for right now. Perhaps a spark of rebellion would come from her later, but right now the kit was subdued on the matter. "What was that crouch you did earlier? Was it for hunting?" Creamsicle asked, bunching her muscles together and sliding down closer to the ground as she repositioned herself into the crouch from earlier. This time she was a bit heavy on her front paws, but the overall position was decent for a kit just learning.
ALICE - with binx - Myst The tortoiseshell shook her head. "No, I was born elsewhere. The pines, actually," she admitted nonchalantly, casting a side-eyed glanced toward Binx to catch any reaction that may come from the black molly. It wasn't every day that two cats that originally came from the pines found one another. "I was still young when I moved here. My mother's mate was a barn cat, and when she found out she was expecting her second litter, she moved here with him. I followed and haven't left." Not that she ever would. She had been young when she had left the pines, but she still had memories of the area, of the shadowy trees and sweet-smelling sap that filled the air no matter how hot or cold. They were fond memories, but she had even more fond memories here at the barn. Here she had her family, albeit small now as it was just Wonder left. But she also had all the other barn cats to call family, and though it had never been stated aloud, Alice vowed to protect them and provide for them until her dying breath. She was their unofficial leader, and leaving them would hurt her more than she cared to admit verbally. Once Binx admitted to wanting to see more, Alice nodded and headed closer to the bales of hay that were stacked atop one another. With easy familiarity, Alice pushed herself forward and leaped onto a ledge of hay. Once her paws had settled she turned and looked down back at Binx - the jump wasn't that high, but a newcomer could find it daunting. "It's easier than jumping up mountain ledges," the barn cat reassured Binx as she called down toward her. If Binx could get up into the mountains, then getting up into the hay would be no problem.

WonderLocation: Farm With: Boz ( soot ) Wonder nodded, though watched carefully as he set down his paw. When he started forward, she padded a little closer, just in case he needed someone to lean on. She still wasn't so sure if she agreed with Boz's idea about needing chaos, but chose not to argue further. Instead, she just made a bit of a sour face for a moment. But it quickly returned to a more pleasant expression. She glanced over at Boz and saw his contentment~ it must've been contagious, because she felt a similar feeling welling up in her. The excitement of walking and talking with another cat kept her from noticing the cold very much. She might end up feeling it more later. Wonder looked at him, listening to his curious ideas on peace and chaos. She had begun to think about it, but when she saw him make a rather absurd expression with his tongue sticking out and ears flattened, she couldn't help but mrrrow in laughter. She lifted her gaze up to the pretty falling snowflakes. "When you tell me stories of the lands beyond the farm, it inspires me to some day go out to see for myself. What was chaos- became a bit less chaotic." She squeezed her eyes shut when a snowflake got too close to her eye. She shook her head and looked forward once more, her ears tilted back in embarrassment. "And the farm is peace to me, but I am still afraid of many things. Large groups of cats~ even though I love the barncats dearly and they are practically family... it is all quite overwhelming. Like chaos." She glanced at Boz. "So yes. I think that both can happen."(Ah yes. Me too to be honest. XD I've been digging out and washing a bunch lately, so I've been having a lot of raw carrot snacks too.) --- CottonLocation: Moor (Near Cotton’s Den) With: Creamsicle ( Feathertalon ) Creamsicle seemed unpleased about it, but she didn't argue. Cotton breathed out a soft breath of relief when the kit nodded, and her expression softened a tad. As long as Creamsicle would give it a try, surely her thoughts on the subject would change with experience and time. Cotton's relatively sharp yellow eyes brightened when Creamsicle asked about the crouch. Teaching the kittens how to hunt had resulted in some of her favourite times with them. It had long since become one of her favourite things to do. "Yes. It is a type of hunting crouch." The older cat took a step towards the kit and nodded at her form. "Good. Now this time make sure to even the balance between each of your paws. This is especially important in the winter, when snow can easily crumble under too much weight in one spot." Beside Creamsicle, Cotton sunk into the crouch, evenly weighted between her paws. She flicked her tail over to tap the top of Creamsicle's rump. "Try to put a little more weight on your hind legs. Just a little. And when you think you're ready-" The brown molly lifted one front paw and shifted her body forward, placing it carefully before her as she lifted the opposite side hindleg to likewise step forward, all the while, keeping her weight even. "-step forward, trying to make as little sound as possible." She moved slowly, pausing halfway through the slink to observe Creamsicle. "This is how we approach our prey when it hasn't noticed us yet. We use our environment to best suit our needs. Your white pelt would do well hiding from your prey in the snow. This time of year, I'd likely do better stalking in the patches of undergrowth." It was a technique that would work especially good with the small rodents she intended to start Creamsicle on. With slight variations, it also worked well with hunting in the forest, or in the small areas of undergrowth in the moor. (No worries Feather. ^^)

Boz, Zee w/ Wonder (Light) Location // The Farm
Boz huffed a slightly embarrassed laugh, his tail flicking as they approached the Barn, giving a small nod at Wonder. "Chaos and Peace, it's.. amazing what we can find peace in. Be it in a nice, and friendly place like the Barn, or in a cold, desolate place in the forest." He says in response, stretching and shaking his coat a moment. His head snaps up at a familiar voice. "Boz! Wonder! I was startin' to worry about you two." He blue tom said as he from where he was a bit far off, his figure sharp cut in the snowy, and now increasingly colder day. Boz quickly perks up with swiveling ears. "We didn't even take that long?" He meows back, head tilting to the side. With a glance towards Wonder, he starts trotting forward towards Zee, and receiving a long suffering sigh from said cat. "You know Spackle doesn't like ya out in the snow too long, especially when ya bring another cat with ya." Zee says, giving a pointed look. Zee's always a laid back, if slightly hyper active cat, he's only really ever stern when he truly wants to make a point. Boz's ears tilt back a touch, glancing down before looking back up at Zee. "Ah- sorry.. I'll make sure to- uh. Not take too long in the snow next time?" He stumbles over, making an almost confused expression. Zee laughs, "Good. You got my point kit, now you two, hurry up, I ain't got long fur like you two, and I'm freezing my tail off." He hisses, turning his freezing tail and hurrying towards the Barn, slipping inside gracefully like usual, Boz letting Wonder go first before following in. Zee leads them over, turning back towards them as he shivers in the sudden warmth of the Barn, he still has a bit of chill on his coat. "Since there's not too many nests that need changing, only like, what was it.. four of 'em? I'll have you both do like, one each, and a third together." Zee says offhandedly, pointing with a paw over to the loft area, up top. Ugh, it's always the most annoying to change those ones. Zee see's the sour expression and gives a purr of amusement. "Since I'm older, and I've also changed out a few nests the past few days already, I'll do the last one down here. Now hop to it, you both already know what to do, and be careful when you get rid of the hay outside- make sure you come back." He says, a sharp fox grin spreading across his face. Boz resists rolling his eyes, and hops to his paws. "Right away." Boz replies, like a follower to their leader, getting a snicker from Zee. "Why thank you, loyal cat o' mine."Zee Zee Zee, what a wonderful brother Boz has.
(That sounds delicious ; - ; carrots are definitely a favorite of mine.)

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz and Zee ( soot ) The barn came up before them sooner than she expected. Walking around with another cat sure made it a lot faster. She peered ahead at a blueish figure up ahead. Was that Zee waiting for them? As they got closer and the tom spoke, her suspicions were confirmed. She exchanged a glance with Boz and let him go ahead, choosing to follow behind at a slightly slower pace. She listened to Zee's reprimands, her ears tilting back even though it wasn't directed at her. Had she gotten Boz in trouble?
When Zee headed in, Boz seemed to wait for her to enter first. She dipped her head sympathetically at Boz as she passed and slunk into the warmer air of the barn. She moved similar in gracefulness, but more cautiously than Zee had. The warm air made her cold fur tingle and her paws felt numb against the floor. It would likely take a while before she could fully warm. Now that she thought about it, they had been outside the barn since yesterday. No wonder the warmth of the barn felt a little warmer than usual~ she had probably become somewhat accustomed to the cold. She looked at Zee when he gave out the instructions. She nodded with an open wide-eyed expression. She actually didn't mind going up to the loft to do it. Sure, it was a bit more maneuvering, but it was one of her favourite spots and it would be out of the way of most cats around this time. She felt a tinge of uneasiness at Zee's fox grin, and wondered if that's what Boz had meant earlier. She was sure Boz's brother meant well, so she didn't dwell on it. Instead, she flashed a little shy grin in return. As soon as he said "hop to it", she gave a final nod and began to quietly but quickly pad off. She admired the way the two seemed to play with their words with one another. Would she ever be able to do anything like that with Alice? She wasn't sure, but she couldn't quite picture it off the top of her head. She hopped onto the first layer of bales and glanced back to see if Boz was coming. Then she continued to hop up the layers of bales until she was high enough to leap up onto the rafters. She padded along the wooden beams until she reached the loft. She hadn't cleaned out any nests yesterday as she often did. The cats seemed to be staying in the barn more since the last snow, leaving less opportunity for her to sneak around. She wondered if her slack in efforts had left Zee with more work. She felt a tinge of guilt, which she quickly replaced with putting her mind on doing her current task well. She sniffed around at the few nests up in the loft and quickly found the old ones. She wrinkled her nose a bit when she did. Fortunately they were side by side. She stepped to one and began to roll it into a graspable bundle. (:3)

Boz, Zeew/ Wonder ( Light ) Location // The Barn Boz followed Wonder easily, hopping up behind her smoothly, his nose catching scent of their work quickly. Boz resisted the sigh we wanted to let out, and took to working on the nest next to the one Wonder went to work on. Ruffling his fur, he leant down, rolling the old nest into a bundle, sinking his teeth into it cautiously once it was done. Sending a glance over to Wonder, making sure she finished before he turned tail, walking along the rafters with practiced, smooth steps. Green eyes look down before he crouches.. and leaps down, landing sturdily, but softly on the high stack of hay bales. Hopping down one more, and once again until he was on the ground level, the young tom sending an amused glance towards where Zee was quietly mumbling to himself about something while he rolled up a few nests. Boz quirked a curious ear, and a questioning look at Zee, who just gave and offhanded smile, distracted from his usual slyness. That's definitely a few more nests than he'd said he had to deal with. Boz turns back forward when Zee gives him a pointed look, not to mention Boz tripping over his own paws a second, quickly righting himself to slink towards the door. Angling the bundle in his teeth, he slipped out of the door, fur bristling at the cold a moment before his eyes quickly turned to the side, curving to quickly head for the pile they put the old stuff in. Dropping the bundle after a few leaped strides forward, he waits for Wonder, giving a small smile, eyes glancing around, to see if any of the other Barn cats were around. Seems like most of 'em are either asleep, or out enjoying the cold, which he can agree with plenty. Even if you don't like the weather, the view's too good to pass up. Leaning down to stretch, ears folding back, and letting out a quiet chatter before he stands again, shaking his coat. Gesturing with his head for Wonder to take the lead, he debates what to do for the rest of the day after helping clean up, and change the nests. He always enjoys climbing his way through the Barn's rafters, trying to find little nooks that are pleasant to rest in for a bit. He even set up his own nest in a little nook that's above the loft, his and Zee's, so they're more away from the other cats. Both he and Zee are social-ishc cats, but after being with Spackle and Lada in the woods so much, it's a bit claustrophobic to be huddled up to unfamiliar scents, or at least so many at once. Boz lets Wonder walk forward until she's nearly at the door before he follows, getting a few good running leaps in before sliding back through the door, a flicked ear at Zee, and back up to the rafters and loft to carry out the last nest. He quickly trots towards the last nest, rolling it up before Wonder has a chance, and takes it out himself, letting Wonder follow if she wants. Quick to be rid of the old nesting, he flexes his claws as he makes his way back inside, ready to shred the hay for the nests. Hopefully he doesn't accidentally splinter his paw again, he normally doesn't.. but it still stings sometimes after that the other day. Fluffing up his fur in a funny way at Zee, who's already shredding hay for the three nests he'd been refreshing, he let out an amused sound, flicking his tail with a shake of his head.

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz and Zee ( soot ) Wonder had her bundle in her jaws when Boz finished, and let him take the lead to the pile for old nests. She followed smoothly behind him. She saw him exchange a look with Zee, and felt another twinge of guilt when she saw just how many nests Zee was doing at once. Regardless, she followed Boz to the pile and gently set down her bundle before meeting his gaze and giving him a soft smile. She then turned and headed back for the barn without waiting for him. When she made it to the loft, Boz suddenly flashed past her, grabbing the nest she had been about to take. "Hey! I was going to..." she faded off as she watched his quickly retreating tail disappear off the end of the end of the rafters. She gave up with a sigh. She followed Boz down to the barn floor, but instead of following him outside, she padded over to one of Zee's bundles. If Boz was taking that one, she might as well help to lighten Zee's load. Her ears tilted back a little as she carefully nabbed the bundle, her eyes on Zee the whole time~ she was ready to stop or drop it at a moment's notice. Luckily, the blue tom was facing away at the time, so she stole off with the dirty bundle like a thief in the night, her paws silent across the barn floor. When she made it to the barn exit, she made a beeline for the pile, passing Boz on his way back inside. She was too rushed to really pay much notice to him. She stopped and dropped the bundle on the pile, pausing there for a moment as her heart raced. She turned back to the barn, padding slowly as she approached the entrance. She slipped in cautiously, trying not to look directly at Zee, but keeping him within her peripheral vision. Boz was on the barn floor, all fluffed up and looking at Zee. Was he cold? She didn't quite understand the interaction, but the resulting amusement she heard made her kind of wish she understood. Instead, she carried on to the loft while they were distracted, and once there she pulled out some fresh hay. With careful strokes, her sharp claws shredded the dried grasses. She wasn't the fastest at the job, but she liked to do it carefully and well. She found the quality of the nest more important than the speed at which they were finished. Plus, if the shredding was done too fast, it was more likely for a cat to prick themselves. (I wish real barn cats were this committed to cleanliness.)

Boz, Zee w/ Wonder (Light ) Location // The BarnBoz chatters offhandedly, giving Wonder a curious look before leaping up and following her, padding by next to her to get a small bundle of hay to shred. Turning and setting it down, he flexed his claws carefully, shaking his paw slightly before shredding it neatly. Ignoring the small tinge of pain, mostly from remembering when he pricked himself, he just made sure to be a bit more careful this time around. Once it was done, he went and took out a bigger bundle, setting it between himself and Wonder, taking a patch from it to continue shredding it more. Once he finished enough for a nest, he nudged the clumped bundles of shredded hay over to the closest designated spot, tucked closer in the corner, where the old one had been. Once it was there, he adjusted it with a paw a bit, getting it to the right shape, and making sure it was walled a bit at the edges. He slipped past Wonder again, shredding just enough to help with that last nest before he let her take care of it this time, hopping to his paws to leap a tad riskily back down to the Barn's lowest floor, heading for Zee. Zee's currently only got one more nest to shred hay for, which Boz quickly, runs up to him for, bumping the older cat's flank in the process, getting a wide eyed, slightly confused meow, before Zee settled giving a small laugh. "Awe, here to help your poor old, old brother?" He says with a grin, which settled more into a genuine smile while Boz plucked hay from the bales, setting it in front of himself. Boz just shrugged, ears twitching in the concentration to avoid hurting himself again. "Nope, just helpin' you Zee." He says idly, and slightly distractedly, yoinking a bit more to shred. He doesn't see Zee tense at that before the older cat has a tiny, ever so noticeable, but adoring smile on his face, his ears tilting. Boz just his one ear down, and one perked as he finishes shredding enough for Zee's last nest, turning to nudged the hay towards it's rightful spot, kneading it until it works well. "Is that good?" Boz asks, one paw still on the nest when he turns to Zee, Zee just gives a nod with a grin, "Perfect, now you and you're friend are off scot-free." He says, grinning wider, almost a smirk. Boz just nods a bit confusedly, an ear quirking before he flicked his tail. "Alright..? Uhm, is there anything else you need help with or..?" Zee quickly shakes his head, flicking his tail back at Boz. "Not a thing, dear little Boz. You and Wonder can are fine-" The older tom made an odd chattering sound, giving a pointed look. "Just no leaving the Barn, it's getting colder again, I can already hear the wind whipping." He said, getting a nod from Boz, who's ears perked at the mention.
(Imagine xD I wish dogs were like this too ;-; )

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz and Zee ( soot ) Wonder finished shredding and nudging the first nest into place with utmost care. She looked up and saw a pile of shredded straw for the third nest where Boz had once been. She padded over, nudging and kneading the third nest into place and good form. The young molly was feeling a bit achy when she finished. She padded to the edge of the loft and peered down. Boz and Zee were below, working on more nests. What were they talking about? She couldn't help but wonder. She turned away from the edge and stepped onto the rafters, following the trail they had worn. When she hopped down from the lowest bale and onto the barn floor, she paused where she landed. It was a shadowed spot right beside the lowest square bale. She could see Boz and Zee from where she stood. They appeared to have just finished with the nests down here. Her paws urged her to go to them, but they felt frozen to the shadows. She had gotten to know Boz better last night, and they went on a journey that morning as planned. They also came back to help with the nests as Zee requested. Now that their plans had reached their end... was it over? Her heart weighed heavily at the thought. Her paws too. Actually, everything felt kind of heavy right now. A slight chill had settled over her since the making of the last nest. Boz and Zee seemed to be having a conversation and Wonder didn't want to interrupt. With a shiver, the calico turned away from the two brothers, padding slowly along the shadowed barn wall as she searched for a quiet warm spot to rest. She would've gone back up to the loft, but didn't really feel like making the trip again. (Lol)

Boz, Zee Location // The Barn
Boz listened idly to the wind as he left Zee to do whatever it is Zee likes to do in his extra free time, his paw steps steady as he perks his ears, looking for Wonder. He looked up, towards the loft.. but his attention was drawn by quiet footsteps off to the side, his head tilting. Shaking his head, he decides to hop up to the loft, just to check, hopping up the hay bales, and scrambling a bit for the rafters. His paws and tail keeping the young tom balanced as he looked forward, no Wonder in sight.
The tom's ears tilted, eyes looking down from the rafters, spotting the familiar multicolored coat with a chatter, his ears perking right back up. Walking along the rafters, before she went where he couldn't see, he let out an attention grabbing chirp, head tilting with a considering look, debating just hopping down to the hay bales again when he sees a big enough pile of hay he could hop to, not really thinking too much before instinctually making the leap down.
He lands in the soft hay with a bit of an 'oof', shaking his pelt, yeah.. that was maybe a bit of a dumb jump, but he didn't hurt anything, so it's fine. Blinking the hay dust from his eyes, he turns to Wonder with a quick, barely there smile before he's getting up, walking up to the molly.. a bit hesitant on how to start the conversation again. A simple.. hi again? Or maybe a joke, like, hey, ya, disappearing on me? Nope, he doesn't think Wonder would appreciate that..
"Wanna hear a story?" He decides, a bit of an odd started but eh, his tail flicks, eyes searching for something. "We can go find a place to lay down at and I can tell ya, it's about Spackle and Lada." He finishes with a tilt of his head, his paws shuffling idly to keep warm on the cold Barn floor. He remembers Wonder saying she liked hearing about more things outside of the Barn's fences.. so why not tell a bit more? (Boz, looking down a cliff with a pile of hay at the bottom: Yeah, I can make that. Boi thinks he's from assassin's creed or sumthin-)

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) Was it rude of her to leave as she did? Perhaps she should have asked Zee if there was anything else she could do to help. Wonder shook her fur, resisting another shiver as she padded a little further from the wall. The wall seemed to emanate with cold, as if it had absorbed the cooling temperatures from the outdoors. No... Even if she had offered to help more, she didn't know if she would be of much help right now. Maybe the excitement of spending so much time with another cat had taken more of a toll than she expected. She kind of wished it could go on, but perhaps this was for the best. She padded into an open stall with another set of bales. In the middle of the stall was a large pile of hay that had been scraped together. Wonder's ears twitched and she looked up as a chirrup sounded from above. A black and orange flash of fur hurtled down from above, landing in the pile with a resulting poof of dust. "Boz?!" Weariness forgotten, Wonder quickly scaled the pile to meet him, panic in her gaze. He was already standing and stepping toward her when she got there. Her green eyes quickly looked him over. To her relief, he seemed to be relatively unharmed. The slightest hint of a smile quirked at the edge of his mouth. Wonder closed her eyes and let out a long breath, her tail lashing a little behind her. Honestly! Jumping from that height? It was so reckless! "You don't make it a habit jumping from high places, do you?" Wonder asked in a bit of a mumbly tone, her eyes opening in a somewhat perturbed expression. At his proposal, her ears perked and her eyes widened a little. He had come looking for her. When she had thought it was done, and was too afraid to go to them herself~ he came. Her heart warmed and for a moment it didn't feel so cold. Her ears tilted back a little as she closed her eyes and smiled. "I'd like that." She turned and half stepped, half slid back down the pile. She twitched her tail in a beckoning motion. "Come on. I know a good spot." She padded to the nearby stack of bales. It wasn't the same stack they had climbed to reach the rafters. The chills were coming back. Every few steps, her flank would give a little twitch or shudder. She stopped when she arrived at a small gap in the bales. She padded forward, slipping into the gap. It was a tight squeeze, with hay scratching at either side as she pushed through. But as they went deeper, it suddenly opened up. In a place where four corners should have met, the hay had worn away, forming a small comfy alcove. If one didn't mind tight spaces, there was room enough for three small cats, but two could fit rather comfortably. The floor here was covered with a thick layer of hay. Wonder padded to one side and began pulling and arranging the hay as she liked before gently lowering herself into position. She wriggled herself a little deeper into the hay, until just the top of her back and her head peeked out. Surely she would stay warmer if she kept more hay around her, right? She rested her chin on the edge her nest and stared at Boz, wondering what grand tale he'd spin next.

Boz w/ Wonder (Light) Location // The Barn
Boz fluffs his fur up idly in the cold corners of the Barn, giving a small purr of amusement at Wonder's words, looking up to where he'd leaped from with a small grimace. That was a bit high wasn't it? Shaking his coat out of the hay dust, he's quick to follow the leading molly, squinting in slight apprehension of the hay bales before sticking his muzzle in, and pushing through, ignoring the slight jabs of prickly hay at his sides. His ears pop up when he goes out into the open area, looking over Wonder bury herself in the hay with a cocked head. That does technically make it warmer, if Zee is anything to go by.. Boz shrugs, and pads a bit closer to her in the tiny space, looking up towards the ceiling with a tad of wonderment before looking for a spot to settle. Settling not too far off from Wonder's side, his eyes facing her as he curled up partly, his head on his paws to keep it away from the hay. Figuring he should start his little story, he shifts a bit, lifting his head, and burying his hind paws into the hay to keep them a little warmer, he starts. "Spackle had decided to visit the Barn again.. during newleaf." He starts, his ears swiveling as he spoke. "Just after all the snow and ice melted, the leaves and flowers peaking out again, the river was running and rushing, higher than it usually is, the melted snow and ice making it go over the stepping rocks they usually jump on to get across the lazy river." Boz says, his tone acting like he's saying an adventurous, made up tale, his story telling mode in full force as he spoke. "Lada was younger at the time, Spackle too of course.. and Lada thought the river was running too fast to swim across, so.. she was about to turn around to head back to the forest, maybe to just find another cubby, or tree to stay in for the time being. But she stopped.. when she heard a splash behind her, turning quickly to find.." He pauses, giving a grin. "That Spackle had jumped into the river, his face lit up as he was pushed away, Lada running with a shout after him." He resisted a snicker, tail flicking a bit of hay, "Spackle made it to the other side after a bit, somehow managing to avoid hitting any rocks.. and he looked over to Lada with an offhanded laugh and a grin, flicking his tail." He Boz says, shaking his head at the next part. "The funniest part is, that there was a fallen tree over the river, which Spackle knew about, he just wanted an excuse to jump into the river, Lada used the log of course, and Spackle just walked merrily with his white and gray fur dripping the entire way to the Barn. He told Lada only recently that he know about the log the entire time." He finishes, resting his head on his paws again, eyes held open lazily, the warmth, and comfort of the 'nest' they were both in. So he just stared idly at Wonder with his lightly green eyes, blinking slowly as his head tilted on his paws, thinking of what it would have been like to see Spackle go for a dip in the river. As much as Boz loves the winter, it's extraordinarily beautiful to see newleaf, with all of the hidden life coming back out to play.

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) Wonder watched Boz with tired, but sparkling eyes as he told the story, chirring softly at his enthusiastic inflections. She loved the way he told his stories. She had never seen the river, so she could hardly imagine what a mass of running water could be like. She had heard stories of cats who drowned deep or rushing waters~ water could be a frightening foe. The young molly gasped when Boz said Spackle had jumped INTO the river. Why would he go and do that?! It made her think of that time not too long ago that Boz had jumped from the rafters. Perhaps he got that bit of recklessness from Spackle. Her breath caught for a moment. Spackle was Boz's father, right? Boz talked about him a lot, but never seemed to call him father. Now that she thought about it, she didn't really know much about Boz and his family. She let out a breath of relief when Boz said that Spackle had made it to the other side, and let out a huff when it was revealed that the older tom had known there was a log further down the river. She blinked blearily. Perhaps Spackle's knowledge of the log made it a little less reckless, but even so~ "He sounds so reckless..." she murmured, her head bobbing with each mew on the high edge of hay where it rested. "L- like your jump earlier..." She was still shivering. It had been coming and going in intervals throughout the story. The story had distracted her from it, but now she once again became aware of how cold she felt. "When... When we go to the river, y- you won't jump in and leave me behind, right?" She blinked heavily, but kept her gaze on Boz. Despite feeling cold, her body was radiating more heat than usual.

Boz Location // The Barn
Boz's ears flicked idly as he listened to Wonder speak from where he could see her sticking out of the hay, the shiver in her voice.. and the visible shiver make him pause a moment, his own teeth clacking quietly as the cold seems to suddenly seem much more prominent. He huffs quietly, cracking an idle smile, maybe he is a bit reckless? He never really thought of it too much. He always thought he just.. took opportunities? Not really risks, per say. His head tilted in thought, thinking back on it.. he's walked in the middle of the road to see a monster up close- climbed a few trees to get a good view, even though they were some of the highest trees in the forest.. and he's also jumped from places that were a bithigh. Fluffing his fur up to combat against the cold, he makes a full stop when he hears Wonder.
Leave her behind? "Of course not, even if I jump ahead I'd never leave you behind." He says it before thinking it through too much, getting up from his spot to move a bit closer to Wonder- it's getting a lot colder today isn't it? It seemed like it'd warm up earlier.. then again, leaf-fall only starts to get colder. Maybe he should follow Wonder's example and use the hay like a blanket. Settling down a bit closer to Wonder, sitting along the wall next to her, he buries himself in the hay a bit, almost able to feel the heat from Wonder as he does, settling a bit more comfortably, even if the hay pokes him a bit. He remembers always laying down next to Zee, or Spackle when it got too cold for him, as much fur as he has compared to Zee, he's small enough to still get rather cold quick, especially when he's doing nothing but laying down trying to sleep. Lada's.. never been around too, too much, not as much as Zee or Spackle anyway. And isn't that something? Being away more than Spackle.
Settling his head down near where Wonder's is, looking over to here with the flick of his ear, his tail popping up out of the way, creating quite an amusing image. "But that means you've gotta come with me too, ya know. Follow me up to the places that might seem scary." He says in idle thought, figuring that it show go both ways. He won't leave her behind.. but she should also come along with him, right? "So long as we stick together it wouldn't be so bad." He finishes, his ears flat where they're covered in hay, only the little points peaking out as he settles down more to sleep, ignoring the shiver wracking his body as he starts to get more warm.
He's tired, but not the.. bone deep exhaustion, just tired.
(Ah yes, adventurers, lol)

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) Wonder eyes widened for a moment at his sudden response. Then her ears tilted back and she smiled at him. She wasn't quite sure why she had asked such a question, but his answer comforted her. She blinked sluggishly as he settled himself down beside her, and couldn't help but laugh softly at his half hurried form. Was that what she looked like? She stared at him when he added more. Follow him to scary places..? Surely within reason, right? She wanted to spend more time with Boz, but would she be able to get over her fears in order to do so? "I- I can try. In that case, ju- just make sure you don't go anywhere too scary." There was a bit of a teasing gleam in her eyes, but she meant it. She'd hate it if he ended up hurting himself in one of these adventures. At his last comment she smiled, her worries easing. "Alright," she purred quietly. Perhaps it really would be okay. She didn't feel as afraid when she followed cats like Alice and Boz. Seeing him slip further into his nest, she followed suit, curling down into her deep nest. The side of her flank was a little lower than the top of her nest. Something shuddered nearby, and she wasn't sure if it was Boz or herself. Her nose was awfully warm and she felt terribly cold, but even more than that a deep lethargy called to her to sleep. As her eyes drifted closed, she smiled a little at the thought of sticking together. Had she finally made a friend at long last?(Dreams of adventuring, but still doesn't know if she can follow through. She will try. XD After all, it is easier with friends.) (And yes, the after effects of two youngsters spending an entire night and morning in the cold outdoors. Wonder has a bit of a cold. XP)

Boz w/ Wonder (Light) Location // The BarnBoz huffed a small breath at her teasing tone, blinking slowly at her before he settled into his spot further, curling into a ball of fur under the hay. His eyes slid shut, his nose twitching in the cold air as he fell asleep. He woke up with a blink, having slept peacefully, without any hint of a dream, and he was freezing. Huffing, and keeping quiet at the other sleeping cat, he shifts just a it closer, a shiver making his teeth clack quietly, his jaw clamping shut to keep the sound away. His ears flicked, laying flat on his head as he blinked the grogginess away. Ugh, he's suddenly not such a big fan of the cold right now. Looking over Wonder, and taking slight notice of just how oddly warm she feels.. while also shivering like a leaf in the wind brings him out of his stupor. Oh.. that's not very good. Taking a quick moment to prepare himself, he adjusts his paws, and pushes himself up, the hay sticking to his sides a bit as he was revealed to the cold, cold air of the late-sun Barn. Stepping forward just once, he dipped down, and nudged Wonder awake with the flat of his forehead, sniffling his runny nose. "Wonder. Wonder? I think we should maybe move to somewhere a bit warmer..?" He says in a slightly worried tone, tail flicking with a shiver. "I think you might be a bit sick.." The young tom adds, looking over the other intently where she's poked out from the hay. Oh- he's not been sick in a while.. does he bring her to someone? Another Barn cat oughta know a bit more than him- maybe Alice, her sister, right- She'd probably be able to help.. or some other cat? Oh stars..
(Uh oh- worry time)

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz ( soot ) Tiny paws. Warm fur. The sharp pinch of hunger in her belly. The large concerned faces that peered down and spoke softly to her. Squirming bodies and hungry mews. One of those mews was her own. The memories drifted in and out, hazy, and as if she were drifting in and out of sleep. When it all seemed to be in vain, large warm paws cupped them all and took them away to a new place. It was there she found warmth and her hunger was satisfied. But as time passed, the squirming bodies around her vanished one by one. One day, there was no squirming any more. It was only her. Wonder. Alone in the blanketed basket that served as her home. What had happened to the squirming bodies that had once been there? Had it just been her imagination?Something bumped against her, interrupting her hazy thoughts, and she heard her name. Hope fluttered in her chest. Someone was there. She was not alone. Was it Alice..? No... The voice was too posh to be Alice. Another set of chills wracked her body, and she curled up a little tighter, sniffling. The voice wanted her to get up, but she knew that to get up meant getting out of her warm little nook and out into the cold . "Mmnn..." she groaned in complaint, not particularly feeling like leaving the safety of her deep hay nest. But... The voice did say it was to go someplace warmer... She cracked open her eyes, and blinked a few times to clear her vision. All she could see was hay. She sneezed, causing a small eruption of hay dust to poof out of her nest. With some effort, she lifted her head to peek over the edge of her nest with half lidded eyes. There, a young tufted tom stared back. The name came to her the next instant. Boz. She felt a bit clammy now, a strange mixture of cold and hot. And her body was a bit achy from shivering through the night. But sick? No... Surely she was just sleepy. What time was it? It mustn't have been long since they laid down. And what was it with the cold? She thought that this cozy little spot would do well to keep them warm. Had she been wrong? She sniffled again. She tried to speak, but had to clear her throat first to get it out clearly. "You know someplace warmer?" she asked croakily, looking somewhat skeptical.
