Sage nodded to the now human were-wolf, "That's what happened earlier, now I can barely even step," she replied as she tried to think of something else to distract the thought of walking. Lexa takes a few steps back. "Trust me you will get it. Try taking a few steps forward but keeps your eyes forward." Lexa suggested hoping that would help her walk better. "You feel like an inner voice or like your inner fox showing you the way."

"If you are looking for something to eat, head to Bernie's diner." Delvin pulls out his phone and unlocks it. "If you're worried about payment you could just mention me and he can put it on my tab. Heck I could text one of the people so they know to be expecting you."

Heck I could text one of the people so they know to be expecting you." “Oh uh no that won’t be necessary.” Her cheeks flushed. He seemed nice but she didn’t want to owe anyone anything. “I can pay for it myself, but directions there would be appreciated if you want to help.” Who in the hell was this guy? ‘Alpha wolf’ my ass. He was so much older than her too, why did he want to pay for her food? Was he going to ask for something in return? His motives boggled her and she took a few steps back, suddenly wary.

Sage tried to take her mind off walking and thought about her powers instead, and fitting in more discovered puzzel pieces. She thought about the illision powers, and tried to think of how those would work Maybe if I just think about what illision I want to make, and it appearing- I'll try that later though her thoughts cut off as she relized she was walking normally, and soon broke into a run, "Haha!" she laughed as she felt the breeze in her face and the light touch of grass and dirt on her hands, no- paws, she corrected herself. Sage made her way back to Lexa, "That felt amazing! like- I've been waiting my whole life to do that little thing, it feels like- its apart of me- like I was made to run," she didn't know how to describe it, only that it felt magnificent.

.' *- Adeline Nicholson -* '. ᓚᘏᗢ Adeline always adored libraries. She’s oddly.. never been a particular fan of reading story books, so much as informative books. Learning, and researching a particular topic. She’s a book finding witch. Muttering a quiet ‘ Thanks’ as she walks through the opened door, glancing back and waiting for Jack as they went. I want you to think about what you’ve just said a bit longer. He sounds the tiniest bit exasperatedly crazed. She decides to wait on that. ”Oh-? That’s good to hear.” She replies a tinge quietly as she glances around. Adeline is quite happy to hear that- she’d been a bit worried when he mentioned getting a job when (in her literal professional opinion) he shouldn’t really be walking yet. Then she pauses, turning to look at him fully. “Ah.. do they have a bathroom? For you to clean your hands at?” Adeline asks.. gazing at his hands before what she saw moments ago kindly slaps her in the face again. ”Uh.. if… you still need to.” She adds, voice wavering, and grey eyes seemingly more wide in an emotion she can’t quite pinpoint. Adeline can’t quite tell if her voice cracked or not during that sentence. She might be crazy, and hearing a voice in her head, and.. passing out.. and weird day dreams.. mmmm-okay, she takes it back. Maybe she isn’t the most reliable on if what she’s seeing is real. I’d frankly say you’re almost the most reliable. If you weren’t quite so oblivious.

Delvin figured she was feeling wary of him and honestly he couldn't blame her. Having some stranger question you about yourself would make anyone nervous. "Head down a few blocks and the diner should be right across Ralph's cleaners. It was nice meeting you." Delvin starts walking away but stops for a brief moment. "Should you need to find me or want to be around like minded shifters, there is a pack known as the Primal Bloods. Should you ever want to check us out head out of town and follow Wolf Creek Rd." He would leave it to her if she wanted to check it out or not. Even if she doesn't he would have someone keep an eye on her. Just to make sure she didn't cause trouble and to make sure no hunters were following her.
"The first time you run on all fours is the greatest feeling in the world." Lexa says a big grin on her face. She knew Sage could do it. "Just wait till you are running at full speed with nothing but the forest ahead of you or a big open space."

Nightshade nodded at him. She felt glad he didn’t press her for more information, but just from the way he let her go easily she figured he was probably making a mental note to have someone check on her later. It made sense since he seemed to be a leader of some group of shifters. He probably just wants to make sure I’m ok and don’t screw up their society… She brought herself back to reality from her thoughts and said to him, “Thanks. If I need anything I’ll let you know, you seem to be pretty knowledgeable of shifting and this town.” She turned around and began walking towards the diner. I wonder if they have milkshakes… I could go for a chocolate one with whipped cream right now. She then thought of something that she hadn’t realized before. She hadn’t shifted in a while… maybe she should try it later. Not her full form, but just the two legged one with wings and a tail. Not here though, somewhere deep in the forest. Maybe I’ll go for a walk and try to connect with some wildlife…

His hands? What about his…? Oh. Oh. Crap, he’d completely forgot that he fell earlier. At least he had put his hands in his pockets as soon as Adeline walked through the door, so they were out of sight. From within his pockets, he rubbed his thumbs over his palms. They felt felt smooth and unmarred. Stupid quick healing. Hopefully she didn’t see them earlier…
“Oh, right. Forgot. I’m sure there’s a restroom somewhere. I’ll come find you when I’m done.”
Without another word, he hurried quickly, but not too quickly, away to where he thought he remembered seeing the restroom, at the while silently cursing himself for not being careful.

As Delvin walked away, He pulls out his phone and starts texting people. There were older members of his family who might know more about a were dragon. He knew dragons were a thing though the really big ones were either extinct or in a deep sleep. Ever since he found Jack, so much had been happening as of late. Speaking of Jack, he needed to find him later and figure out what happened to him during the full moon.

Nightshade walked to the diner and when she got in she immediately found the darkest booth in the corner and sat. While she waited for the waitress to come over she mulled over where she would go. Maybe she would have to check out that wolf creek place or whatever… but then the waitress came over and interrupted her thoughts. “Hello, what can I get for you today?” Nightshade glanced down at the menu. Score! “Uhm… I’ll have a chocolate milk shake and a breakfast sandwich. Oh, and could I have the morning paper too?” She figured that she could just look it up on her phone, but news was more interesting when read in person. “‘Course hun!” Nightshade smiled behind her mask though she knew that the woman couldn’t see it. Her mind was preoccupied with questions about the shifters here. Where she had come from previously, they had been called ‘morphs’ and they were few and far between. A few minutes of waiting later the waitress came back with a steaming sandwich wrapped in checkered paper and a glass of chocolate milk shake; she was also holding the daily news. “Thank you!” Nightshade said as the items were set on the table. She picked up the steaming sandwich and took a bite. Mmmm… cheese, bacon, scrambled egg, and toasted sourdough all mixed together to form a perfect bite. She picked up the paper as she chewed and read the title. “More shifters being discovered, details within.” She flipped the pages until she found the one on shifters in Griffendale. “We urge you, if you have any information on shifters here, tell your nearest police station immediately. They are not to be taken lightly and are considered extremely dangerous…” she set the paper back down with a snort. Towns like these were always obsessed with the supernatural even if it didn’t concern them. As she finished her sandwich and milkshake, she got up and left a ten on the table. She stuffed the paper into her backpack; it might be a good read later. Now for her walk… (Sorry if this is too long, I had a lil bit too much fun writing lmao)

It was like a pot, that as forced to a simmer, and all at once it came bursting to a overflowing boil. Adeline hesitates, wanting to say something but simply letting Jack go on his way to wash his spotless, somehow totally uninjured hands. She glances up, taking in the normally much more comforting scene of the library in front of her. Gently setting her loose hands into her pockets, eyes a tad to wide as she drags them towards the botany section. The isle itself is neat, once she makes her way over, plenty of helpful books she's sure. Most of them with titles akin to 'Botany For Beginners', or 'Your Local Plants' and so on and so forth. Adeline's attention is brought to an older looking book. A similar seeming title plastered on front, but definitely older. It's hard back, and has a green cloth cover, with almost completely flaked off silver and golden letters. She can't see an Authors name anywhere on it, even on the inside of the first few pages. Just inked drawings of plants, and neatly written cursive explanations on what they do. The thing that makes Adeline pause is the tincture section. 'Wolf Repellent'. The description was.. mildly disturbing to say the least. Then there was the 'Magnifier', for.. 'charging' some sort of power? What the hell?'Potions are always a good start. Or tinctures, if that makes you feel any better. Have you even realized yet? Denial.. a surprisingly strong thing, isn't it? I was in it for decades.'

As Jack left the men’s restroom, he caught a glimpse of outside. The jerk from earlier had moved spots, he was not stationed on a corner across the street. He couldn’t tell if he was booted from his first spot or if he was follow him and Adeline. From where Jack was standing, he got a good view of his signs, most of them were against werewolves. He did his best to shake it off as he walked away, and even though the guy was nuts, he couldn’t help feeling even worse about his curse.
He didn’t ask for this. So why was he targeted that night?
Why couldn’t he remember anything from last night?
The wolf was so close to killing Adeline.
He was close to killing her.
Jack wasn’t sure if the lack of animal attacks was a good or bad thing…
He wandered around the library looking for Adeline, head hung somewhat lower, feeing even worse about himself. He found her in the botany section.

Adeline fumbles slightly, when she almost drops the book in a habitual gesture to wave, catching it promptly with an awkward, strained smile. The smiled dropped pretty quick. "Uh- are you're hands.. better?- I mean, of course they are- they didn't.." She hesitates for a few seconds, shifting on her tennis shoes before taking in a slightly sharp breath. "How are your hands.. perfectly fine?- An- and your leg? I mean-.." Adeline's questions are haphazard, but she needs to know. Adeline near instantly closes her mouth, teeth clacking painfully. Oh God, did she just not so subtly ask someone she's known for a week if they have- super healing? Yes. You did! Bravo, hatchling.( And in the far distance, some random guys protests signs are being pecked by a crow like they're the birds worst enemy-)

Maria sniffled as she leaned into Javalle. She got that he couldn't be there all the time, but she just wanted to make sure that he was not just gonna leave and never see him again. Slowly broke off her hug and said, "I am sorry for being so clingy, and thank you for taking the day off to help me. I just don't want to never see you again is all." Turning her head to look at Sage and Lexa and sighed. "Mister Javalle, I know you wont promise to stay but can you at least promise that I can see you again?" Okay, yes she knew he said that she could visit him during the full moons, but she just wanted to be sure. Javalle felt the pressure being released from his body as Maria backed away. "Ah, no. You're not clingy at all." The stiffness in his limbs begged to differ. Nonchalantly the shifter stretched their back briefly before continuing, "Besides, looking at the same set of bookshelves from my workdesk gets repetitive after a while. I'm always grateful for a change of pace." Can you at least promise I can see you again? "I'm sure I can have that arranged sometime in my busy schedule.", Came his response. The teasing edge in his voice returned and was accompanied by that familiar cat-like smirk. But, just to make sure there was no confusion in his message he nodded, albeit a bit awkwardly. "I'm going to say goodbye Lexa and Sage too. They deserve to know that I'll be leaving, at least." Even if I only knew them for a couple of minutes. Once he finished speaking, he wandered back into the clearing to see how the pair were getting acquainted.

Nightshade pulled her mask up over her face as the sun began burning her almost instantly. She cursed under her breath as she was forced to recoil into the shadows of the diner. Taking a moment to cool down, she took out her phone and looked at the map of Griffendale. Bingo. The whole town was almost completely surrounded by forests but she found the one she had been looking for. It was large, the largest one that went on for miles. She grinned under her mask as she set off in that direction. Eventually she reached the line of trees. Setting down her bag in some bushes, she took off her mask, hood, gloves, shoes, and socks. She was wearing nothing now except for her underclothes and the faded T-shirt she always wore. And of course pants. No streaking allowed. she thought with a small chuckle. She cracked her knuckles and felt the moss and dirt under her feet. Taking a deep breath, she ran into the woods. There was a small incline and she picked up speed as her feet gracefully navigated through rocks and bushes until eventually she thought she was deep enough into the green leaves and foliage. She paused to catch her breath and stretch her legs. She stood up straight and closed her eyes. The hum of the forest encircled her as she felt herself... well... shifting. Her arms grew scales and her face became elongated. The process continued down her body until her entire self was covered in pitch black scales and two black wings erupted from her back. All she was trying to do was the anthropomorphic one but now she couldn't stop. Eventually her body stopped changing and she looked down at her scaly body and leathery wings. Hello, old friend. She raised her wings into the air and with a flap was propelled off the ground. She hovered a few meters off the ground before taking off into the woods, relishing her paws on the soft moss and the feel of the wind rushing by her face.
(Maybe someone can meet her in the woods, if not she'll just return to her stuff and shift back to normal again lol)

Sage paused as she saw a dark figure soring over the trees, too big for a bird, "did you see that?" She asked Lexa. Not waiting for an answer she dashed off to go chase it, wind in her fluffy face, bushy tail behind her. Eventually she caught up and saw a huge black lizard-like creature and she paused- "uhm-" Sage was clearly visible with her bright fur, and all of a sudden the creature spotted her.

Nightshade stopped as she saw ...a fox? She stopped and looked curiously at it. Her tail wrapped around her as she stopped and began rolling in the dark grove of trees. Ah the smell of damp leaves... She took a deep snuff of them and watched with delight as they flew into the air at her large breath. There was a spot of sun that broke through the leaves and hit her scales and she recoiled with a hiss. Eventually when it stopped burning she went back to playing with leaves and enjoying the scent. Finally she turned to the fox, laying upside-down and her paws in the air. She said sarcastically to them, "Oh my. I've been caught by a fox!" (She doesn't realize its a shifter XD)
