Marvel RP -- revamped

Welcome to our revamped Marvel RP! This rp has been around since the old forums as the companion to my SHIELD den, originally posted by Rain and then Tals. Now I am finally reposting it myself, thanks to the encouragement of 🍄🎶✨Brambleheart✨🎶🍄 .

This role-play originally took place after the events of Civil War, but since then a lot has happened, so we have decided to be a little more free with the timeline, especially considering there are many different dimensions now, anyways. As a general idea, this role-play will play in the chronological timeline of the current Marvel Universe-- but, the difference lies in the fact that cannon characters who might have died or retired (or even exist in a different multiverse) can exist here. So, if you want to role-play a favorite character who might have passed away in the Marvel Universe, now is your chance! With the invention of time travel, this also means we can play around with it and go back in time! 

All Marvel characters are free game (aside from the ones who are taken, of course). But, try to keep to the MCU more than the comics, just so everyone is on more of the same page when it comes to timelines and stuff. 

General timeline, although subject to change: 

    - SHIELD exists, but it is still undercover and slowly building back up. 
    - People are still adjusting to life after the Blip. The Avengers team we know and love has changed; some beloved heroes have died or retired and new ones have stepped up in their place.        
    - Loki has landed in another Multiverse.
    - Sam Wilson is the new Captain America. Steve Rogers has retired and aged, but for the purposes of this rp, he has still given up the mantel of Captain America, but he is still young (and we can def travel to the 1940s to rp his 'new life' after returning the infinity stones). 
    - TIME TRAVEL IS A THING.
    - Clint Barton, former Hawkeye and Ronin, is on his millionth retirement, but we all know he's not retired (;

• Fitzwilliam T. Harker - Alias: 'Mr Darcy', Asteraoth, Director - Director of SHIELD - A mysterious figure who quickly rose through the ranks of what is left of SHIELD. His previous role and position is unknown. So is his age and debatable status as a normal human...He delights in fostering all kinds of rumors about himself and it's pretty much guaranteed that he'll lie whenever asked personal questions. Only a very select few know his true name. At once playful and ruthless, known most for being earnestly twofaced and the combination of fear and loyalty that he inspires in his subordinates. Fitzwilliam is professionally known as Asteraoth and suits his alias well; an angelic smile and cold inexorable gaze. Aster stands at 6'3 with a broad-shouldered well-muscled build and pale skin unmarred but for the deep, rugged scarring that he conceals with an 'eyepatch' that covers the entire upper half and right side of his face. His left eye is dark and narrow, some mixture of reds and purples that most closely resembles bruised blood. Asteraoth's features are strong but conventionally attractive, almost supernaturally so. His hair is golden bronze, the unruly locks parted to nearly cover his eyepatch while the longest strands at the back and sides brush his collar. He is always dressed neatly and professionally, usually in military-style coats and knee-high combat boots in dark colors. He is rarely seen without a gray peaked Captain's hat that suggests some military rank, but the shield and insignia on the front is foreign. He speaks with a central Londoner's accent but it can vary without any rhyme or reason. The fact that he also wears an eyepatch is entirely a coincedence that he jokes about often. It annoys him that SHIELD isn't operating at its peak, but he provides what aid he can and frequently sends liasions to the Avengers so that he can keep tabs on them. Asteraoth seems to possess immense wealth and this is what he uses as the backbone for SHIELD's foundation; many of the expenses are coming out of his own pockets. Some lower ranked agents are disturbingly fanatical about serving him...But he seems to truly care about everyone under his cont- ah, care. Everything and everyone can be useful when applied correctly, or so he likes to say. - Rped by Hushabye

• Name Unknown - Alias: The Doctor, Asclepius, Lee - Senior Researcher - Age unknown - Asclepius is a very strange individual who seems to have more marks of a mad scientist than a trained medical professional...It's his fault for asking various Avengers to be the subjects of his research, or even vivisections, with only the slightest recent decrease in frequency. For the most part he's goodnatured but flighty, easily distracted by his scientific passions to the point where he can be a bit overbearing...At heart he seems kind however, as he never Truly wants to hurt anyone and seeks to heal as many people as he can. While he looks to be in at least his mid-twenties, Asclepius can be childishly naive and gullible. When it doesn't concern his work, his mind seems to work much simpler but his energy levels return to a managable degree. He seems to believe that he's the head of the medical staff and everyone allows it. Asclepius was never an original member of SHIELD. When Asteraoth became Director, he brought him along and ordered that doctors & researchers of all kinds run any problems or alien data through him. The less human Avengers are his primary subjects... Lee is quite small and almost dainty at only 5'6, with olive skin and vibrantly pink hair and eyes that glow in the dark. Apparently this is the permanent side-effect of an experiment of his. His hair was haphazardly cut, shorter at the front with short bangs clear of his pale doe-eyes, and unevenly long on the right side of his head to the point where it frames his soft cheeks. He rarely sleeps and so sports constant dark circles and bags under his eyes. His ears are pierced with double gauges in the right and a simple X in the left. He is always wearing a magenta scarf that can be pulled up to cover the lower half of his face when needed and white gloves of various types so that he can perform at a moment's notice! Pink is his favorite color and so he wears it most, often paired with his ivory lab coat that ties at the back with a large pink bow. Lee has a naturally rough voice but tries to soften it when talking to patients. He doesn't actually seem to know much about himself other than that he's a 'doctor'...His accent is implacable. The majority of his work is of the highest secrecy and he doesn't get out much. Doesn't seem to need to eat or drink? Asteraoth was actually trying to keep him from the Avengers but he escapes occasionally to bother- Befriend them. • Parhelion - Alias: Paris - SHIELD Liaison - Parhelion appears to be a young android who is unsure of his initial purpose, so he's happy to act as the go-between for SHIELD and works hard to be a proper diplomat! He loves to learn and prefers doing it actively to passively collecting the information online or through books. If asked, he will reveal that he is a highly advanced future model and looks up to Vision as something of a pioneer for his kind. Though earnest and possessing an almost human youthful energy, Parhelion is respectful and kind. Almost to a fault. He is fascinated by human emotions and wants only the best of them. This is likely why despite his untapped power, he's been assigned the task of liasion rather than combatant. Paris' human disguise is a svelte young man of perhaps 16 years of age. His skin looks like porcelain, utterly unmarred no matter what is thrown at him and possessing a supernatural glow when excited. He finds freckles attractive and so often wears them on his face and shoulders. His hair is thick and curly, a rich cinnamon that curls around his ears and often sticks out in windswept tufts at the top of his head. He has a notably cherubic face, plump lips often curved in a faint smile. The color of his eyes is hidden; they are always closed but he can see regardless. Paris most commonly wears a white button-down shirt, black silk gloves, and dark pants with suspenders. His dainty shoes are likwise black lined with gold thread. When in the presence of the Avengers they rarely touch the ground, as he is capable of flight. His unruly hair is pinned to the upper left with a bronze pair of gears that trail an ebony silken braided tassel. The sleeve of his right shoulder is ruffled and likewise pinned with a large golden pauldron. Though he avoids fighting, Parhelion is capable of it. His abilities are apparently coded in secrecy however, so he can't explain them. At the very least, most magic doesn't work on him. - Rped by Hushabye
