Also! Question of the day! How did you guys come up with your screen name?
So I'm Bluewonder, I made my screenname up when I was back on the ollllddd forums back in like 2012 or whatever (Yeah, I'm an old lady, sorry not sorry) I had an assignment, I think? That asked my favorite things, and I answered 'All things wonderful and all things blue'. I thought I was poetic or something, lol. So when I joined the forms, I just mushed my favorites together to Bluewonder, and it stuck! Honestly, I thought it sounded nice lol... nothing too sentimental, though now I wish it was haha |

bluewonder After you check over Onyx's profile I'm also curious if theres a certain place you'd like me to start before roleplaying or if theres anything I should know before dropping in. Can't wait to join the family and thanks for the oppurtunity. 🙂

So in Ivyclan, a large patrol of... pretty much half the clan, lol, just got back from fighting a badger that had elemental earth powers. So half the clan is being tended to by the medicine cats. We had to have a good number of cats stay back and guard camp though, in case the badger came that direction, so your characters could have been in that group! I think right now things are calming back down, so theres no real action happening at the moment. My cat Waspfang is available, he's just chilling in camp licking his wounds, if any of your cats want to go up and ask him about the battle, they could start up a convo that way. He's a bit of a brute, though, so be warned lol. Then there's Lizardeye in the middle of camp with Wolfpaw and Oatstream- you could have a cat hanging with them, they're some fun elders and Wolfpaw is chill. The rest of my cats are a lil occupied but some other people may have available cats! |

Just curious does either clan need any specific ranks or genders filled? Willowclan doesn't have a medicine cat apprentice yet. Genders are pretty equal in both clans so you don't really have to look out for that. That being said, Willowclan might need some warriors so every apprentice can have a mentor. I don't think we have an earth elemental apprentice yet, nor a fire elemental warrior. We have a bunch of water elementals among the apprentices but not enough warriors with the same element. However, in one of Willowclan's starting post it says to not make any more water elementals for now so you probably shouldn't make one yet. Let's just see what bluewonder thinks For Ivyclan, I think we don't need anything specific, all the important ranks are filled out

Hi hawky! You can feel free to join either clan or both! Pine did a great job kinda explaining where we are at with everything! Like they said, the only real roles not taken yet is a med cat apprentice in Willowclan, which I'd be honored to let you have if you'd like! Besides that, you can do apprentice/warrior/queen/elder of any clan! Looking forward to possibly seeing you in Ivyclan or Willowclan! If you have any questions, just lmk.
and yeah I had a hold on the water elemental for Willowclan bc for a moment there the majority of cats joining were water elemental, I may swap that in a bit, but I'm already thinking Willowclan might be ran a lil differently than Ivyclan bc of the apprentice/mentor powers not lining up. I'm thinking maybe bc Willowclan is more open minded in general, they may let cats mentor apprentices that are not of their own elemental power, and do more group mentoring, kinda as a cultural difference btw them and Ivyclan. Therefore, perhaps apprentices are not ~quite~ as skilled in their particular power offensively as Ivyclan cats, but are better prepared defensively bc they've trained with other elementals. It might would be fun, and solve the problem a lil bit.
In my mind, Ivyclan under Thistlestar's rule is kinda like - "Some of you may die, but it is a sacrifice I am willing to make"
and Willowclan under Ryestar is more well-rounded like -"er... nah, let's not die, but because we're trying not to die and not to kill anyone, we're losing ground" |

*cracks knuckles* Alright, so since Willowclan will be all willy-nilly with their mentors and apprentices, I get to have more fun by pairing based off of personality. I'm also going to check out the Ivyclan page and try not to replicate the same roleplayer pairings, so that the mentor/apprentice relationships OOC in Willowclan are different than the ones in Ivyclan, if that makes sense.
So we have
Russetpaw, Bluewonder, brash and adventerous
Indigopaw, 🐦silvermoon2🐦 , chatty and optimistic
Cricketpaw, Dark, bubbly jokester
Foxpaw, Pineclaw, shy and unconfident
Crowpaw, Ember34, introverted and reserved
Sagepaw, Ember34, cautious and overthinking
and I already have a BluexPine mentorship at ivyclan,
an EmberxSilver mentorship
a MoonxEmber mentorship
a DarkxBlue mentorship
and... maybe that's it? (idk, housekeeping these clans is confusing but so rewarding lol)
So I'm thinking
Russetpaw (blue) and Blazethorn (🐦silvermoon2🐦) - They both have bold personalities, and since Blazethorn is young, this could be his first apprentice and he could have trouble controlling Russetpaw, because Russetpaw often likes to defy authority!  I could see Russetpaw being very sassy to Blazethorn, be warned!
Indigopaw (silver) and Drizzlewind (moonclaw400) - They could be a lot of fun together, both being pretty optimistic cats, I think! Also since she's one of the older apprentices, it makes sense to me that an older warrior would have her.
Cricketpaw (dark) and - Honeyspeck (moonclaw400) - I think they can be a fun pairing too! I know I just had Moon be a mentor with Drizzlewind, but I think Moon has less mentor/apprentice pairings than everyone else who isn't yet paired with Dark, so mathmatically, this works for me lol. Plus, since Ivyclan doesn't have their deputies training anyone right now, I want to see how Willowclan deputies handle the balance of their duties while also being mentors.
Foxpaw (pine) and Talonstrike (Ember34) - Foxpaw is shy and unconfident, and what a better way to push that envelope than give him to a strong personality deputy lol
Crowpaw (ember) and Ryestar (blue) - Because of course she would see an introverted little apprentice and be like 'yup, this one's mine'
Sagepaw (ember) and Silverdawn (Dark) - Silverdawn is young but has a good head on her shoulders so I could see Ryestar giving her an apprentice. Also, I was trying to pair ember with someone they hadn't been paired with before lol. Also also, should Silverdawn do anything... shall we say, unlawful one day, I could see Sagepaw being up in his head about whether or not to tattle if he found out lol. Just thinking about the possibilities.
Thoughts? If anyone has concerns, I'm open to moving things around!
