 Thistlestar snorted. "I'm not sure about excellent warriors. We have quite a ways to go before I'd consider this rag-tag group to be excellent. Tell me, Shatterfrost, why did it take so many warriors to take down a single badger? I know the badger was an earth elemental, but how are we to compete against the most senior warriors of Willowclan if we can't even fight a single badger?" She didn't wait for a response, instead continuing her little rant. "If you could see what I saw from here, you would have seen cats scattering haphazardly, in no way prepared for an incident such as this one." Thistlestar sighed, feeling like she would have to take matters into her own paws. "When all cats have been seen by the medicine cats, I'm going to hold a clan meeting, and we will work out what we could have done differently, and next time, we will do it better." She straightened and flicked her tail, silently letting Shatterfrost know he was dismissed.
(once more, she didn't seem to notice or care about the injured cats lol) |

 Dapplesky trekked delicately through the Ivy Forest, purring alongside her clanmates Nectarbreeze and Poppypaw. It had been the most calming and fun border patrol she had been on in moons, and she half dreaded returning to camp, knowing Thistlestar would have some insane new order for her to carry out. As the she-cat made her way into camp, however, her eyes grew wide in alarm. The scent of blood and exhaustion was overwhelming. Her green eyes flicked over to the two closest cats she could see, Brambletalon and Swiftclaw. "What's going on?" She mewed, her fur beginning to ruffle. Being at the border, the three had no idea that a battle had taken place.

Mistsplash waited for her mate outside the nursery, tail flicking in anxiety. She wanted to make sure he was alright and find out what happened. All the noise and moving was putting her on edge, just wanting her family to be safe.
Heatherseed had been guarding camp during the attack, looking at the returning patrol"Earth Badger"she said in response to the question"It was down by the rolling hills pond, a bit disappointed I couldn't go and help"

Hunting, with Mothdapple Dark ' Yes, hopefully'Owlfoot replied, tasting the air for prey, suddenly, he stiffened, scenting squirrel. Flicking his tail to signal Mothdapple to be quiet, he slowly began to creep forward, soon noticing the squirrel nibbling on a nut in the shadow of an oak tree. Stealthily, he took up hunters crouch and began to move toward it, when he was within pouncing distance, he leaped. He landed just clear of the squirrel and the squirrel ran up the tree in alarm, but just before it could get out of reach, Owlfoot slammed a paw down on it and gave it a killing blow.' Thankyou StarClan for this prey' he muttered, feeling satisfied with his catch. (will post for Nectarbreeze and Poppypaw later)

Shatterfrost w/ Thistlestar- bluewonderShatterfrost dipped his head and padded away, wondering what was going through his leader's mind. He reflected on Thistlestar's words with an agitated flick of his tail. He was starting to agree with what she had said, why did they need so many of their clanmates to take on a single badger? Though he felt somewhat bad for the 4 moon apprentices who had to witness the battle- such as Mintpaw- he knew that the leader's word was law and his duty was to follow. Spotting Mistsplash lingering outside of the nursery, he hurried over and touched his nose to her cheek. "How are you feeling?" he asked as he stepped away, meeting her gaze. He sensed waves of worry from his mate and wanted to make sure she- and the kits- were okay. Mothdapple w/ Owlfoot- 🐦silvermoon2🐦Mothdapple let Owlfoot do his own thing while he searched for more prey. His eye caught on a bird resting in a tree, but he doubted he could make it up there in time. Soon enough, though, he scented traces of mouse and followed it to the base of a tree, where it was nibbling on some seeds.

She nuzzled the tom, pressing close to his side"I just...I saw Mintpaw, I don't want our kits to be made apprentices early. How can she not see she's breaking the warrior code?"

Hopefully, this is only a one-time thing," he assured her. "Everyone seems to be okay, the more severely injured cats are resting in the medicine den, being taken care of. I'm fine as well, a few scratches here and there, nothing major." (LOLOL Shatterfrost is torn between his mate's feelings and the word of the leader)

Tansypool looked to Stoatpaw, he could relate to the young she cats distress over Mintpaw. He had the same experience with his own sister. "Don't worry, we have the best medicine cats, they won't allow any harm to come to either of them, and will ensure they both make swift recoveries," he said, hoping to provide some reassurances. He truly hoped it was true, he didn't knwo the status of either cat and with Mintpaw being as young and small as he was. "Starclan will look out for both of them while they recover."
