I'm trying to come up with ideas to help people keep active here while we wait for Blue to come back since everyone's mostly stuck with her characters. I'll be on today if you want to do so.)

Icepaw blinked at the sound of her mentors voice bringing her from her deep thoughts. After giving a quick glance around camp for his voice she spotted him a stood up with a smile, "O-Okay," She mewed with a smile taking a step forward. As her paw touched snow, she stared down for a brief second and then shook her fur as white pellets scattered around her. Mouse-dung, I did it again. She gave her paw a quick shake removing the last bit of snow and then bounded after Owlfoot.

Darkwhisper - Ivy Forest - with Sootpaw (Sand )

"Well, trees are much harder to work with than just branches," he purred. "It takes a lot of training, both in strength and skill, to fell a large one. The one I accidentally cut down was laughable compared to these ones." He gestured towards the tall trees surrounding them. "The trunk wasn't as wide as those, it was definitely a younger tree. Not a sapling of course but it was still much smaller than what we see here. As for being more powerful as a warrior, that's definitely true. Especially in my case, I wasn't really that good as an apprentice. So I've improved even more than your average warrior. But yes, warriors are more powerful and know more skills than an apprentice. We work on our abilities and our senior warriors have powers that make us younger ones look like kits by comparison." He grinned at her. "Once you got all the typical apprentice skills down I'll show you how to shoot blades or use an air current to increase your jumps. Not at this point but I'll keep those goals in mind so we can work towards them effectively."

He watched as she agreed to try her skills on pebbles and leaves first with an amused glint in his eyes. Of course she thought it was too easy, he knew his apprentice well enough at this point to not be surprised. "We'll see how you handle them," he meowed. "They don't seem like much but even if you can lift them already you'd still have to try and control the way you make them move. Power is important but so is control."

Darkwhisper sat back but kept his eyes on Sootpaw, watching her attempts carefully. He gave a small nod of acknowledgement when the leaf began to float. It didn't lift far from the ground but it was a start. "Not bad," he meowed to her and stepped a bit closer. "Now try to focus on the air underneath it and will it to move in a circle. Like a tiny whirlwind. It'll let the leaf go higher and, once you get a better sense of control over the wind, it can also keep the leaf in place instead of blowing it away. While throwing objects is the point of this ability you first need to be able to get the wind to do exactly what you want. You wouldn't want to throw something at you clanmates in battle, right?"


Wolfpaw - near Rushing River - with Oriolehop (Sand )

Wolfpaw nodded slowly as he listened to Oriolehop. Given the circumstances he could understand why his mentor wasn't too happy about Dapplesky being made Mintpaw's new mentor. He wondered how the she-cat felt about it. Wolfpaw hadn't really paid much attention to her during and after the meeting but he could imagine she wasn't jumping with joy. "Yeah, I guess this isn't how it should be," he meowed. "No one should be forced into this and Mintpaw and the others shouldn't even be apprentices yet. It's just not right." Thistlestar sure knew how to make horrible decisions. "This isn't how a leader should act," he said more quietly, more to himself than anyone in particular. He knew Ivyclan had had better leaders before since he often listened to Lizardeye and Oatstream. Had in not been for their countless stories about their youth Wolfpaw probably would have thought that what Thistlestar did was completely normal.

He stayed silent for a moment too, watching Oriolehop. It couldn't be easy for him, being both proud of Dapplesky but also worrying that she might not be up for this. Wolfpaw stepped a bit closer to his mentor and gave him a sympathetic smile. "I'm sure she knows that you're there for her," he meowed. "And she has Lizardeye and Oatstream too. I can't spend one afternoon or evening around those two without them bringing her up at least once." He let out a light chuckle at that. "So yeah, they'll definitely support her too. And even if you aren't as good as Blacksong would have been you're still trying your best in your own way, right? That already means a lot. And I don't think you're wrong to not be too happy about Dapplesky becoming a mentor this way, I hope it didn't come across like that."

Owlfoot pricked his ears at the sound of Icepaws voice, 'I think today would be a good day to learn some new moves, you've made really good progress and I think your ready for something more challenging' he meowed in reply to her question.
