Yeah I remember generators like that. Post a certain amount of numbers, and whoever is running the thread generates a kit or character for you.
I have no idea about vending machines. Lol.

I feel like the defining moment, for me anyway, was Starkit. Starkit is our Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way I literally only found out about Starkit 2 days ago. I feel that it hasn't got the impact of My Immortal, purely because MI was original and there's still the mystery of whether or not it was a trollfic. If it was, then there's less to laugh at. If it wasn't, then it's rude to laugh at a 14-year-old's fanfic. There is safety in its ambiguity. MI was a phenomenon onto itself, whereas Starkit's Prophecy relies on MI as its basis, and as such gives readers pointers to the original that we know it's obviously a trollfic. That being said, it's still a classic.

And by no means was I making fun of the author or anything, I was just stating, to me, that's one of the most popular HP fanfics (regardless if it being the child of a fourteen-year-old or being a trollfic) and Starkit was one of the most popular WC fanfics to me. On a totally unrelated note, do I know you? I know I was fairly popular back on the forums and your name in particular is standing out in my mind.

Oh, no, I wasn't saying there's anything wrong with laughing at it. I laughed at it every day. Every night. I'm still laughing It's the possibility of it being genuine that really makes it great tbh. Idk, you might. I was Brightclaw of MoonClan back on the forums, and I was really only active there in 2011. I don't think I know your name but it's definitely possible that I do.

Man, that name sounds so familiar. A lot of these users sound incredibly familiar but since I was there for so long a lot of names are jumbling together. Like I said, I was sort of well-known so you probably know my name from passing and vice versa.

Really? Wow. I was really young when Starkit broke out so I guess I remember it having a bigger hype. My bad then

My bad then I mean, people like it on WCF, but the fic itself was on FF.net, and it became a phenomenon because of Warriors Wish.

Oh man I remember hoping FOREVER that I would get my signature signed - I eventually did by WCM :') Those were the good old days lol.
EDIT: Do you guys remember the newspaper fads? In warriors misc people would start "site newspapers". IMO, I thought it was really cool, but I think only one or two of them got off the ground. Didn't they interview fanfic writers and clan leaders, report on new clan goings ons and stuff like that?

Back when there were contests/challenges and the mods would give you a special avatar. I believed they copied your current avatar and put a stamp on it. There was a star, scratch marks, and I can't remember the rest. Some folks had 2-3 extra avatars, I remember being so jealous cx

S/he were the hot stuff back then. Mallow's hospital was the place to be if you wanted to be cool in OTD.

Does anyone remember that one user back in 2011/12 who started making a Warriors RPG? It was coming along nicely and had a nice fanbase, but then it all of a sudden stopped.

The forum guide!!! I was about the mention that, and this is such a great addition to the history of the WCF :')
ah yes those were the good old days. We have now scattered across the endless ocean that is the internet. EDIT: it's been 4 years. We have our own page on the wiki but it pretty much says the same thing as this.
