Yea, the other parents won't be easy to convince either but at least they're not like Desai so while it will definitely take some time and effort it's not impossible with them. Searc and Neason may have it easier as they no longer need Desai's approval but they did have to deal with his awful existence for so long they deserve this

It could be the craziest and most absurd thing but if it's one of the many things Ralston doesn't know much about he'd still believe it. Having a super naive and sheltered leader may be troublesome at times but no one can deny that it can also be a lot of fun

And if Korith and Nyeril join the good guys Kerah won't waste any time and tease them too xD Every dragon of the squad gets teased. Except for Orion I guess. Though he wouldn't mind Kerah's teasing too much if the raven found something about him to make fun of

So only a few will get to know the whole story before they go to Brodia and everyone else gets to hear it after the castle defense. Sounds good. Marceau and Rayén will go along with whatever Hias decides. They trust them to make the right call. But they will keep a close eye on anyone who genuinely thinks that Hias is lying about stuff, especially if it's someone from Brodia. Sure, Hias can defend themself against any accusations or even attacks (though I doubt anyone of the good guys would do something like that) but that doesn't mean those two will just stand by and watch. Nope, anyone who messes with Hias is messing with them too
Oh dear xD Looks like Zinara will have to force Vigran to do something fun or at least something enjoyable when the squad is hanging out in Lythos. At the very least the lynx will try to keep an eye on them and give some comfort if Vigran is still affected by the bandit thing

Even more reason for them to celebrate his death. Hopefully neither of them will propose to the ones they're dating right then and there though xD Right after Desai's execution (or even during it) Searc suddenly whips out a ring and asks Quincy to marry him. Nah, Searc wouldn't do that xD

Yea, that one is perfect for them! And Kerah can do it many more times before Ralston finally stops being so easy to trick

Alright, so one dragon who isn't on Kerah's list. Orion is safe from his teasing. But yea, everyone else has to put up with the raven. Nyeril and Nyeril Korith will so regret joining the good guys xD

I mean some of the others also aren't too fond of some of the countries and their reasons are less serious than Hias'. Like simply disliking Brodia's obsession with might and fighting. Or even just some lands being too cold or hot. So Hias not wanting to go to Brodia wouldn't be too weird. Still better if they explain though just so the squad won't run into any trouble once Hias has decided to go there after all. Besides, most characters who dislike some of the countries will only join after the castle defense or even later. So yea, good on Hias to tell the truth. Only to Ralston and Calais at first and then to the rest of the squad. But yea, really starting to love the Firene trio xD The Solm trio isn't complete yet so they may still have a chance but yea, for now it won't be easy for Vigran and Zinara to stay in first place xD
Understandable. Just because the bandits have been dealt with doesn't mean Vigran will just magically get over everything. And yea, technically true to some degree but no one in their right mind would actually claim it's Vigran's fault. No one (aside from Vigran themself) will blame them, least of all Zinara. The lynx will accept that Vigran needs to work through their issues so they won't insist they stop feeling guilty but they will reassure them that they don't blame them for anything. Besides, it would be hypocritical of Zinara to expect Vigran to stop feeling bad since they lynx also feels bad for upsetting Vigran in the first place. Sure, Zinara didn't have much of a choice and also doesn't regret protecting Vigran but that doesn't mean they can't also feel a bit guilty for it too

Yes! xD And may also share who Neason is dating (if he's with anyone at this point and is okay with Searc sharing it with Desai) just to make it even worse for his shitty dad. Would be hilarious if Neason ended up with a commoner and a beastkin because Desai would absolutely hate it. Hell, he won't even have to be in a relationship with those, Searc could just lie about Neason's love life for the sole purpose of messing with Desai xD

So everyone stop telling Kerah to go easy on Ralston, he's just trying to help him become less naive! Yup, that's definitely his intention. Teasing Ralston just for fun? Oh no, you got the wrong impression about this. It really is for Ralston's own good!

Kerah can defend Orion if anyone is being insensitive to him. Like teasing him for his weak White Dragon magic, for being mute or for how he's being ridiculous for being so careful about hiding his scars in his human form even though they're clearly visible in his dragon form so why even bother? The raven can threaten them for that because dude, not funny. As for harmless and minor stuff Orion would not need Kerah to threaten the others but he'd definitely point to the raven with a smirk if someone was teasing him as if to say "Oh, do go on, I dare you" because once he's gotten more comfortable around the squad he likes to have some fun with them too, in this case jokingly threatening them for teasing him. And yea, that stuff happens sometimes xD And it's always after sending it that you notice it. Hate it when that happens, especially if I quickly write something before going to work and then suddenly realizing "Wait, did I write (insert obvious mistake here) instead? Shit" and then I spend hours worrying about that until I can finally go home, check and fix it xD

Yup. Hias may have changed their name and tried to alter their appearance as best as they could but some people might still recognize them anyway. So yea, it's much safer if the squad knows what to expect. And yup, so far those three are the best. We'll see if they can keep it up once the other trios are complete
Exactly. Vigran will be the only one insisting they were at fault while everyone else understands that this is not something one can control. Especially those who have some trauma of their own will understand. So yea, unless someone in the squad is super mean no one will blame Vigran. And yea, hope so too! I usually wouldn't set requirements for how someone makes their characters but the second retainer just has to fit in with those two! Whatever they're like (just as crazy as those two, jealous of the attention the lynx always gets, slightly exasperated at the antics of those two,...) they just have to be close with Vigran and Zinara and care about them just as much. Same goes for all the royal and retainer trios, no matter what their dynamic is like they have to be willing to kill for each other and have a close bond. Some may be more formal and distant than others but they still care a lot about the others in their little group

Sure, Desai sucks but think about it this way, Neason: It's his last day on earth, he's about the be executed. This is your last chance to make his day even worse! So really, you should care and outright order Searc to tell Desai everything about the one (or two) you're gonna marry! But yea, a commoner (especially if it's one from outside of Leicester or even Fódlan) and a beastkin would be amazing for this. Whether he actually ends up with those or not. Just to piss off Desai even more xD

Same for the banana peels that appear everywhere, Ralston needs to learn to always be aware of his surroundings

Good, Kerah being a good but not overprotective raven. Orion will appreciate it but he'll still jokingly threaten the ones teasing him by pointing out that the raven is nearby. And aww, he threatens anyone who's mean to Ajax too. Kerah is best bird. Don't let Javor know though, he'd take offense to that xD And oof, yea. Discovering mistakes weeks later is even worse. Most of the time I also don't bother changing it because it's pretty much pointless by then

So yea, good thing the squad knows by then so they can either try to tell the truth or just fight off anyone who tries to attack them for associating with Hias. Depending on Sedral's reputation some might even think what the squad is saying is definitely a possibility. Not outright believe them of course but not attack them anyway because they're not fully convinced of either story. So even if the squad is allowed to pass through without a fight there still will be some hostilities
The squad will have to accept that. They can tell Vigran that no one blames them but they shouldn't pester them about it either. Just show that everyone supports them but allow Vigran to deal with this on their own terms. Zinara will also not force Vigran to accept that it wasn't their fault. The lynx will just say that they don't think Vigran is at fault, that the only one to blame is Praxar and they will also apologize for having made Vigran worry about them. But they won't tell Vigran how to feel about any of it because that wouldn't be helpful. And yup, whoever makes them can give them whatever personality they want of course but the second retainer has to be close with those two! The Solm trio is known for being way too chummy with each other for this whole royal and retainer thing xD

Yes xD And they get a front row seat for his execution, each snuggling with their partner(s) to really ruin their dad's final moments

Yea, always watch your back or something. Because uh... well, Ralston may only stick a note to it but some bad guys would stick a knife in it so yea, definitely training so it will never happen

Hm, true. And since it clearly wasn't an open relationship the town will probably think badly of him for not doing anything about it. Sure, he had no clue, like you said, but some would probably think that makes it even worse because they believe he should have paid enough attention to her to realize something is up. Also, if they know about his wife being well... the way she was it will also add credibility to Hias's story. That Sedral was the one to kill her. Because he has a pretty clear motive. So yea, they may not instantly believe the squad but would also be hesitant to attack them and Hias because what they say is indeed possible. But yea, really depends on how the town views Sedral. And true, him letting Jarek adopt one of his kids in exchange for some gold also doesn't make him look like a great person
Yea, and all of this is entirely on Praxar. Vigran only stopped being friends with him because their parents didn't want them to be around someone who was such a bad influence. And even if Praxar was mad about it doing what he did is way over the top. Especially with the fox still holding a grudge instead of just letting it go and moving on with his life. It's been years and Praxar just taunts Vigran badly enough to force Zinara to step in and take a hit for them. I think we even said that this was Praxar's intention because the fox knows how much Vigran adores their lynx. So yea, the only one to blame for any of this is Praxar. Vigran can still feel guilty of course, I think most royals would if one of their retainers got hurt protecting them even though it comes with the job

And everyone approves of them doing this because those two shouldn't have to care about Desai's pride and feelings, especially when he's being executed. He deserves everything

And such a great way to learn too because it's presented in such a fun way! Truly, Kerah knows how to best teach the dragon child

Yup, those two dragons are under Kerah's protection so anyone being mean to them will have to watch out for this raven. And yup. I often double check before sending to avoid something like that but it still happens far too often xD *reading post before sending* yup, everything in order, no errors here. *reading right after sending or even weeks later* WHAT THE HELL DID I WRITE THERE?!

Hm, yea, that makes sense! And yup, still not the best reputation for him because he failed to notice her obvious cheating and because he gave one of his kids away for money. Mixed emotions on him definitely makes sense here. And yup, Brodia may not be as religious as Lythos and Firene (and Elusia for the fell dragon) but its people would still put a lot of stock in what the Divine Dragon's son has to say. Sure, they could argue that he isn't as wise as his mother yet but his word still has some weight here
Yup, Praxar has no one to blame but himself. Should have been a better person. And it's clear that he never improved in any way, instead becoming even worse. And as it turns out hurting the lynx was a bad idea because this is what gets Vigran to very briefly push past their trauma and kill the fox. Man, Praxar really made nothing but bad choices in his life. And yup, just because it comes with their job doesn't mean the royals won't get upset of their retainers get hurt because of them. Which I guess will also make the retainers be more careful because they know this. Sure, they still have to do their job and nothing will stop them from doing so but they'll probably avoid getting seriously hurt or even killed unless there really is no other option. Can't always be avoided of course but at least they would try

Yup, they've seen how shitty he is for themselves. Have them loudly ask if they're invited to the weddings so Desai hears it xD Not only are his sons sitting and cuddling with their partners, now their classmates are already talking about them all getting married. Desai can literally die mad about it

Yup, Orion has no issues with it, he even thinks it's kinda nice. And of course Ajax claims they hate it, no one would expect anything else xD

I love how Praxar is the one who traumatized Vigran in the first place and made them fear bandits in general and ends up getting killed by them because he kept trying to make things even worse for them. A very fitting ending. It's only right that Vigran is the one who gets to kill Praxar. And yea, even more reason why the royals would hate it. They've known their retainers for a long time so no way they'd just accept it

Oh, and any idea when Lukov shows up for the first time? And when Hias kills their sister? Would be good to know so I can plan out when my Fell Followers get killed. I only know that no one of them dies during the first part where both groups look for the rings. But once both teams are back in action again (so after the good guys hang out in Lythos and party in Solm) I really need to start the killing xD

Yea, he totally would have. And would have went up to Desai the day before his execution to tell him about all the changes Neason intends to make once he and his partners are back in Leicester. Rip to all your (lack of) efforts man, your son is gonna ruin it all and everyone will be proud of him for it. So that's another thing Desai could die mad about xD

Yea, even when Ajax is more open about their relationship with Kerah they'll still keep up this charade because at this point it just needs to be done, otherwise it wouldn't feel right

Yup, especially the Kingdom of Might would find it hard to respect this naive dragon child xD So yea, don't show how sheltered and naive you really are, they somewhat respect you so don't destroy that illusion
Yea, Vigran may not truly get over it but at least they can better deal with any future bandit encounters. And it's all thanks to Praxar who caused this in the first place. The fox was the one who started it but also who makes it possible for Vigran to get better at dealing with bandits. Man, if Praxar is watching from the afterlife he would absolutely hate it xD

Oh, that would be interesting. Because Calais's family will be there too (fighting for Brodia of course) and that includes their adopted sister. Maybe they won't recognize each other so even if she interacts with Hias afterwards she can't tell them that Lukov is one of the Followers. And alright, so the Followers sister might die in one of the Elusia fights. No important deaths in Solm then but I might have one of the npcs there be Vardan, Fiore's father. As for the crazy weirdo themself, I'm not sure yet. Definitely not before both groups get to take a short break. They might still be the first of my Elusians to die. After that it's Maéva's turn. Some time before the Followers attack a village in Firene and turn those who couldn't escape into Corrupted. Since that too needs to happen before Rayén fights her Corrupted sibling (and Lukov). One or two battles after that Cenric gets killed (still have to figure out when exactly he switches sides but definitely some time before that) and Ivora gets to live until the final battle of course

His advisor might not let him get rid of taxes entirely but yea, Neason needs to tell Desai that at the very least he's going to lower them xD

Aww, Ajax doing that in Elusia sounds really cute. This needs to be a thing!

Yup, Ralston needs to look respectable in Brodia. But then again no one would be surprised that the king is letting his heir travel with someone like that xD

Yup, so definitely makes sense. Especially since she was adopted by Jarek shortly after Hias left. So even less chance for her to have seen the brother and sister before they left too. And sounds good! Oh, and when and how will the good guys get their eight ring? Since you said Dalvani will join them once they have that number. After all the rings have been found the good guys have seven and the baddies have five, right? Sure, Fáelán steals one from the Followers but they also take one from the good guys (when they capture Kerah) so it still stands. I guess either they take one the next time the two groups fight and they manage to kill a Follower who has a ring or if you want Dalvani could steal a ring when she leaves (like the wolfer did) and that's how the squad gets their eight ring. But if she doesn't it would be interesting too because it would be harder for her to be accepted because unlike wolfboy she didn't bring a ring

Yea, he can't get rid of them entirely but nothing is stopping him from letting Desai think he does xD As for lowering them, sounds like a great first step to prove that he's not like his crappy father. Might still take a while until the commoners on his land trust him but at least they'll admit that he's of to a good start

Yea, the king has already made many weird decisions and for some reason they have turned out to be good anyway. So even if the people see how naive Ralston is they won't doubt that there must be something else to him that only the king knows

Yea, both sounds interesting. If she shows up with no ring it's another nice contrast to Fáelán and it would make it harder for the squad to accept her. But yea, even if she did bring one it would still take some time for them to trust her because she's been an enemy for so long. And while giving them a ring puts the Followers at a disadvantage by the time Dalvani is joining the good guys they've already been subjected to some more of Ivora's schemes so by then they really wouldn't put it past the fell child to let Ralston's squad have a ring for a while only to spring a trap on them later. So yea, either way sounds fun and since Dalvani is yours you also get the final say on this. And sounds good! Not sure about letting Fiore have a ring but maybe they can have one for one battle. Or they take it from Maéva as she is more likely to have been entrusted with one. Marceau probably won't take it as he kills her from a distance with an arrow and has no intention of getting a closer look at the corpse of his sister, let alone take something off of her, so someone else should probably do that

Been thinking a bit about my pitiful assassin. Since everyone in their family is either super strong or skilled in combat or exceptionally good at magic and all those abilities come with a downside most of them are probably knights or something as the king would definitely want to have such power among his forces. It's probably also widely known that their ancestor has made a deal with the Fell Dragon. I think because of that many people fear them or even consider them to be not quite human. Sure, within the cult they're also admired for their connection to the Fell Dragon and their usefulness but at the same time they're often watched with aprehension because of how terrifying their abilities can be. So I guess Askaval and their siblings never had many friends growing up. It's probably another reason why Askaval is so loyal to the heir and the other retainer, they're most likely their only friends so far

Yup, he deserves it. Desai's not gonna get anything nice before his death. And nice, Neason working on things so commoners can have a better life now that they no longer have to put up with Desai. They might still hold some resentment towards house Cherith but since Neason is doing so much to get rid of things that made life harder for them they'll definitely grow to like him. Also since Julius's siblings (and probably parents too) have known Neason when he was still a child they can also go around telling everyone that even as a kid Neason was nothing like Desai

Him being embarrassed sounds really cute but him playing along also works xD Ajax would probably love the former because it's nice to see Kerah being the one to be embarrassed for a change

Yup, the king is completely nuts but still ends up making great decisions so Ralston can't be all bad. Same for all those other weirdos with him, the king lets his heir travel with a group like that so he must have some faith in them

Yea, back when Fáelán joined it was mostly like "Okay, this could still be a trick but if it is it's a super risky one for the Followers. It's highly unlikely that they would actually let us have one of their rings so he's probably telling the truth. We should still keep an eye on him just in case but there's a good chance there's nothing to be worried about here." But after Ivora tricks Ralston a few more times and gets the squad in trouble they'd be very suspicious of any Follower who tried to join them, even with a ring. "Yea no, this one was definitely sent by Ivora to make us part of her next plan or something. She only sent someone with a ring so that person would gain our trust. Nice try, we're not falling for that." And nice, so Dalvani probably shows up with no ring. Sure, even having one wouldn't be much help to her but having no ring makes it even more difficult to be accepted. And yup, also just to have that nice contrast between Dalvani and Fáelán
As for the eight ring, maybe we can make this when Kerah gets Tahvo's ring back? I think I gave him some emblem skills that are beneficial for lance users and lances are one of Maéva's weapons. So letting her have that ring would make sense. She might also be good at using his wolfssegner form so yea, this ring would work perfectly for her. Marceau will still be the one to kill her (no one else gets to do it, he heavily insists on this) but Kerah might be ready to swoop down and take that ring from her afterwards

Good, because I really wanna do this now xD Both because it would make sense for others to have that kind of attitude towards that fell dragon empowered bloodline and because I just want to be mean to Askaval by making their life even more miserable. Now they have even more reason to hate their ability, it makes them both highly regarded and an outcast because most people would be afraid of being around those "freaks". And Askaval neither wants to be highly regarded nor to be feared

omg yes, have those three prepare his final meal! Oh, and speaking of those kitchen disasters, do you think Neason will also get banned from the kitchen at some point? So far it's only Konstantin but since Neason is a disaster at cooking too it would make sense that the higher ups would also decide to save everyone from his awful food xD I guess Vincent might get banned from the kitchen too (though at a later point) because while he's not causing explosions or fires (most of the time) his food is still too horrible and since he will show no improvement over the year it would be in everyone's best interest to not let him cook
And yea, since they all have fond memories of Neason (and Searc) they'll definitely want to put in a good word for him with everyone. Oh, and I like to think that Julius's parents sometimes allowed Neason and Searc to hang out with him and his siblings in their home when there were sudden storms or rain so the kids wouldn't have to play outside in bad weather. And they may have caught on pretty soon that their kids' new friends weren't actually commoners. Maybe it was just something about the way they carried themselves, even if it was just something small that most would have missed. Anyway, they decided to not ask them about it and they also kept it from Julius, Cora and Levin because they figured Neason and Searc had their reasons for pretending to be some commoner kids and only those two would get to decide when to reveal it. Also, given Desai's reputation it would also be not hard to guess that he's probably not a good father so that's also a reason why Jonas and Nadja not only pretended to not have seen through their act but also never treated them any differently. They figured that those two deserved some time off from all that stuff that's usually expected of noble kids

Alright! And yea, one more thing to add for those wedding stories just to further embarrass him, much to Ajax's delight

Yup, and that's what makes him so unpredictable. Those who don't know much about the king may also underestimate him because of his strange decisions because surely someone as crazy as that would never be a competent leader. But nope, he's an expert on warfare and all it entails

Yup, definitely will be interesting! I wonder how long it will take for everyone to at least start to accept her. And yea, it's never said outright but everyone agrees that Kerah should get the ring. Also, having someone else pick it up and give it to him might be nice because then Tahvo could engage with whoever has taken his ring so he can hug Kerah. Because you bet he wants to do that! And after that Kerah can finally have his ring back

Yup, can't let this little arsonist anywhere near the kitchen. He could even set lemonade on fire. Man, Vincent looks really tame by comparison. He "only" manages to burn everything he makes. Even Peach Sorbet. But at least he doesn't actually set it on fire or make food that explodes on impact xD
Yea, most would probably miss those hints but as adults who spend some time around the twins it's highly likely they would catch on. And yea, those two may try but they've still been raised like that since birth so it's hard to hide it completely. And like you said, there's also Searc's unintentional reactions to some things that would make it clear that he doesn't have the best father. So even more reason to let those kids enjoy some time away from that. But yea, looks like they're pretty good parents. They want their kids to be able to have a good life and even though they'd want for all three of them to also work as coopers (so making wooden barrels and the like) because with all of their kids helping out they'd be able to get even more work done but they won't stop them from following their dreams, shown by how supportive they are of Julius wanting to become a dancer when he revealed this to them. It's not an easy life with three kids, especially as commoners on the land of someone like Desai, but they really want to give them a good childhood. And while they have no obligations towards Neason and Searc they still decide that if Desai isn't treating them like a good parent should then they will

Yup, the only thing one can hold against him is how he keeps invading Elusia as it definitely gets more and more people there to join the fell cult because they think they can only put a stop to those attacks by siding with the fell dragon. But according to Ivora's backstory he wasn't the one who started this, one if his ancestors did. And by the time he got on the throne the fell cult became powerful enough to be an actual threat so while wanting to expand Brodia is still one of the goals he probably also genuinely wants to stop the Followers from restoring the fell dragon's power

Yup, will take a lot for almost everyone. Even Maylis is a bit hesitant at first even though she feels she can trust her. Still one of the first to willingly interact with her though. But yea, some may be more friendly to Dalvani than others and will try to make her feel more welcome but they too are still wary of her. And yes, it's a thing then! Because there's no way wolfboy wouldn't want to hug his buddy, especially after being apart from him for so long. But yea, feel kinda bad for Kerah. He loses the ring towards the end of the Elusia stuff and only gets it back some time after all the rings have been found by both groups. That's gotta feel like forever. And yea, shame on him for getting captured, you for even suggesting it and me for not even trying to stop you xD

Yea, and they also have more life experience so of course they'd notice things their kids would miss. And yup, also easy for them to tell that Desai doesn't treat the twins the same. But yea, they really are great. They're not the only parents who do a lot for their children and encourage them to find their own path in life (so they won't force them to follow in their footsteps), at least among my characters, but definitely among the best. And rude, dumping your application on them after they find out about the thing with Julius and Akakios xD But yea, really wish everyone could have a loving family like that. And nice. I think you already wrote something like that for Neason but probably not for Searc. Still, Philomel is best dad for him! Nice how Searc gets so many parental figures. First Julius's parents and once he's at Garreg Mach there are also the professors, especially Philomel. Desai may be the worst dad ever but no one cares about him, Searc and Neason have much better people looking out for them

Yea, definitely not the best approach. Not only does it not achieve much, it also makes Elusia's non-cultist citizens distrust Brodia. This is also why Fáelán doesn't just go to Brodia and help with their invasion. He wants for Elusia to change for the better but still remain it's own kingdom, not get annexed. Least of all by such a strength obsessed country. Depending on what Brodia's royal is like Fáelán may dislike and mistrust them a lot or, if they also dislike how the king is handling this, bond with them over this

Yup, Harrison doesn't count, he's just a doggo who is way too nice for his own good xD And yea, Kerah just having a hard time adjusting to no longer having the ring sounds lovely. Especially like we already said, during that battle for Solm's second ring. Because yea, this makes it so much worse for him, once again remembering that he doesn't have his ring anymore and also being unable to help Ajax. And yup, you not being mean to one of your characters even once would be very concerning xD

Same, really need to get back to playing puyo puyo tetris. But there are so many other games I also want to play. Might still take the time to pop some puyos and clear some lines, either to continue with adventure mode or just to get some practice so I don't get rusty
