Well, Onestar sure is losing it. I don't think he's going to be around much longer. He'll probably die in the next book or something. I was just thinking about this and Kestrelflight saying that Onestar doesn't rust his own Clanmates right now made me think of Bluestar during her last books in the OS. I wonder if this means he actually is on his last life. |

But that doesn't mean she should get one before Birchfall and Brightheart. Plus her constant immaturity may not make her the most ideal for a mentor. She's also a pushover, as seen with the Bumblestripe situation, and that isn't a good trait, either. I do like that a main character or a former main character hasn't gotten an apprentice yet, too. Birchfall yes, but not Brightheart. And who says she and her father can't get apprentices at the same time? Cats around the same age as her and younger than her have already been mentors, so I see no reason why she shouldn't be one as well. Same goes for Birchfall. And yes, Dovewing has been shown to be a bit of a pushover, especially when it came to the Clan pressuring her to be with Bumblestripe, who she broke up with, but she has been maturing, just very slowly. It doesn't help that now she's become a background character. |

The sickness must make cats delirious, because Pinenose hallucinated that Twigpaw was her daughter. That said, I feel bad for Pinenose. In one part she was so sick she wanted all of her kits to come sit by her. I'm guessing she feels like she is going to die and wants to say goodbye or something. I know she doesn't die though, but maybe she will in the next book.
Lionpaw and Birchpaw worry me. I hope they don't become like the other apprentices, but I bet they will. :/
Also, what happened to Slatekit? He disappeared and has not been mentioned since Chapter 2

I just finished it. Together with the bonus scene, the book is 402 pages long.
I enjoyed it.

Twigpaw's mentor should have been Dovewing. Dovewing is in no position to mentor any cat tbh. She's already having at it with Tigerheart, now that he's in ThunderClan. That reminds me...what if Tigerheart STAYS in ThunderClan? That way he and Dove can be together and we won't have to worry about Tigerstar 2.0. But at the same time I think Tigerheart is too loyal to ShadowClan to do something like that, but it would be ironic, because he'd be doing the reverse of what his grandfather did. |
