Maize paused for a moment at the base of the steps. Her amber eyes flickering around, trying to decide what area she was going to scope out today. She was familiar with most of the ranch, as it has been her home now for a few seasons. Her ear twitched.
Buzz Buzz.
Her gaze lit up as she spotted a horsefly hovering nearby. She crouched low to the ground before springing up, playfully swatting at the insect. She huffed as it darted towards the barn and the molly was swift to follow it into the barn. However; once the ginger & white feline was in the barn something else had caught her attention. "What is that?" Maize muttered, scenting the air. There was something else in the barn beyond typical scents like mice, horses, and hay.
It wasn't hard to track the scent beyond the stalls and leading up the stairs into the hayloft. Whoever it was, cause it was definitely another feline, didn't try to hide their tracks. Maize blinked, glancing around the dim of the loft. There you are, she thought as she saw a fluffy tail draped across a bale. And without any self-preservation, the molly swiftly climbed up the bales, positioning herself just a bale higher to look down at the stranger. Mazie wasn't terribly afraid of barn cats, if that's what this one was. There was a curious gleam in her eyes.
With a swipe of her paw, Maize sent some hay sprinkling down onto the golden tom below. "Good morning, sleepyhead," she greeted, leaning down slightly to get a closer look at him but not too close for now.

Rocky swatted at a dry bush, boredom eating him alive. While he was happy with being outside all the time now, he missed having someone to share life with. Life with his two legs was fun, he never had to worry about his food, he was able to come and go as he pleased, and if he wanted companionship, he could sit on the legs of his people, and they would pet him until he fell asleep. With him running a tad to far during his families visit here, he had sadly gotten lost and forfeited his comfortable life style for one of a rogue. The raggedy tom sighed and look around. catching wind of a strange scent. Another cat? The tom jumped up to his paws, excitement coursing through him. He drank in the air, pinpointing where the other cat was. It was only a few tail lengths away from him. He lightly pranced over to another bush where he could carefully watch what was going on. Was this cat trying to hunt? His rump was up way to high, or Rocky thought. "Put your rump down!" He called, not realizing he was totally spoiling this cats hunt. He watched as the mouse dashed away. "Oh, sorry about that..... Give it a few minutes and three will takes it place." He shrugged, emerging from the bush. The mice here were very plentiful, and he was a little surprised this was the first time he met another cat. "I'm Rocky!" He mewed, bouncing right over to the other cat. Honeymist // Grayfire
Honeymist purred in greeting to her mate as he welcomed her to his side. "Thank you." She mewed as she lowered her head to take a bite of the meal the tom had been enjoying. "I have news." She mewed, deciding to just jump right in with the information. "Were going to be a family." She mewed while her mouth was still full of food. She swallowed hard and looked at her mate, gaging his reaction. "I mean, I just found out, I can feel it, I haven't talked to the Medicine cats yet, but I just know, I can feel it." She mewed quickly. "I could be wrong but I really dont think I am?" Her mind was racing once again. "I am so excited!" She mewed, her happiness nearly palpable.

[ I personally would rather not have the apprentice gang deal with coyotes right now. The scene is already chaotic just due to the fact that we have so many people in it right now so Iโd like to keep it more stream lined and simple ^^; We could do coyotes close to camp at a later date tho! ]

Tumblefawn โ camp โ with Frogblaze Tumblefawn had their own troubles of finding friends since they grew up. It didn't seem that hard since they were young, but hopefully the playing field was even. Although they had grown up aside Frogblaze with a difference of two moons, they kept to themself. The fawn tabby was soft with a lot of optimism. Plus, not having a littermate or other family members to fall back on left Tumblefawn to feel isolated at times. At least there was always Sagevale, their mentor who taught them a great deal. They were thankful for them, especially in hard times.
In their time of talking and being in Frogblaze's presence, they realized that they were never around her as an apprentice. On top of that, they didn't remember if other cats hung around her at that time. Even now the amount of friends Frogblaze had were sparse, similar to their own companions. Tumblefawn had none, unless you counted Sagevale. However, they were hopeful that the red ticked tabby would become their friend. They had no ill will towards the deputy either.
Whatever Frogblaze had in mind, Tumblefawn hoped silently that it was nothing too out there. They didn't want to wander in any place that was near coyotes. After all, they had been around since Russetnose's death and Twigstar losing a life. Their head turned when they heard the deputy take a deep breath. Gulping, the words "Abandoned Cabin" were still ringing in their ears. Great StarClan, we're going to die, they thought. Although Frogblaze had an excellent point, Tumblefawn's fur bristled like a terrified kit's. This was it, the end of their lives. All for the Abandoned Cabin where the coyotes were waiting for them...
"Y-You're right, it has been too long," the pale cat mewed shakily. They took several deep breaths, doing their best to calm down. The last thing Tumblefawn wanted to feel was more anxiousness. "Should we leave now?" [ tags: Feathertalon ] | credit: unsplash, cc0 licensed | notes: Lilysong & Cloudburr will be near the destination

Pigeonclaw ยป
All the molly cared about in this moment was taking a bite of the quail. She tore off a clump of feathers, not even caring that she did so in a rather mess; she was now starving and didnโt have time to waste. Pigeonclaw tore off a good sized chunk of meat once she had pulled away the feathers, a purr of content following as her hunger pangs were slowly being put to rest.
Once she began feeling satisfied - after two or three more bites of the quail - Pigeonclaw turned her attention back to Silversparrow, ears swiveling toward his direction and eyes looking back up at him. โI could clean out the nursery. Thereโs a few spots that need it already,โ she mewed with a shrug. Cleaning dens was typically reserved for the apprentices, but there wasnโt much Pigeonclaw could do besides that. Even she knew she was too pregnant now to effectively help with a patrol. This would be the third time she had busied herself with cleaning the den, if thatโs what she decided to do today, but she did have some more options on how to spend her time. โI was also thinking about checking in with Sandyhawk, just to see if he could estimate how many little ones we might have.โ Pigeonclaw was sure it had to be at least three in there. She was absolutely huge and still had almost a whole moon left to go. The queen also hadnโt spoken with the medicine cat since she had first been diagnosed as expecting so it may just be a good idea to see him regardless.
โYa know, if you can manage to get stuck in camp all day, you could take me on a little walk outside camp. We donโt have to go far,โ she quickly added, sure that Silversparrow would say something about that, โbut getting some fresh desert air would be nice.โ A part of her would love to go to the ranch and hang out with some of her fatherโs family there, but she doubted Silversparrow would let her go that far. Maybe she could talk Cowtail into taking her some point soon, or even Mistystorm. Asterthorn could be an option as well. It would be worth a shot at least. Definitely worth a shot.
As she waited for a response she went to digging into the quail some more, glad to have such a plump piece of prey to start her morning.
Dustflame ยป
Not wanting to start anything up while out on patrol, Dustflame remained silent, though it was clear by the cross look in his face that he wasn't all that pleased with Coyotestorm just deciding to do something that could have ended up with him hurt. He nodded in agreement at Sagevale's words; at least he had one warrior with him that had a working brain.
Looking undisturbed by Dustflame's annoyance, Coyotestorm puffed out his chest, blue eyes flashing with a cockiness that had Dustflame's pelt prickling. "I say we keep going! There's bound to be more prey out and about. Just...maybe not here," Coyotestorm mewed, waving his tail around to gesture back toward Hawk Rock.
While Dustflame wasn't against the idea of trying a round of team hunting, he knew that there wouldn't be any use to hunting this area for any longer. Another breeze kicked up, swirling dust once more around the three cats. He narrowed his eyes, lowering his head in hopes of keeping the desert's soil away from his nose. "If we continue hunting then I suggest we find somewhere with a bit more brush. I don't want to be out here if a dust storm kicks up, and prey won't want to, either," he told the patrol, eyes flashing between Sagevale and Coyotestorm. Rather than stay up in the hills where they were, they could head back down to the valley, where low cacti and thick shrub made up a majority of the area. There wouldn't be as much wind stirring up the sand, either, and if they made their way back toward the valley they would be hunting in the direction back to camp rather than away from camp.

Frogblaze ยป
A huge part of Frogblaze didnโt want to patrol the abandoned cabin. In fact, she would much rather avoid the place at all costs, but the chance for her to prove to her Clanmates that she was brave and capable was just too much for her to give up. Maybe this would be what showed the Clan just how worthy she was. No cat else would doubt her abilities.
She swallowed down her fears, hoping Tumblefawn hadnโt caught on. She shook out her pelt as if getting rid of her uneasiness was as simple as freeing herself of loose debris. Frogblaze began heading toward the campโs exit, gesturing for her companion to follow alongside her. โFor all we know the coyotes have left by now,โ she mewed over her shoulder, though her words were more to reassure herself rather than Tumblefawn. She prayed that she was right.
Bright sunlight streamed into her face as she left the comforts of camp. Frogblaze narrowed her eyes at the glare to adjust her sight. The desert was starting to warm up from the nightโs cool air, but a hint of breeze told Frogblaze that rain would be pushing in. A storm was sure to be upon them by nightfall.
Once more trying to mask her wariness the molly puffed out her chest and pointed her tail high toward the sky. โEven if there are coyotes around Iโm one the Clanโs best fighters! I could take down an entire pack of coyotes. Youโre in good paws,โ she mused, looking back at Tumblefawn, giving them both a cocky wink and smirk.

The breath got knocked out of Speckledhare's lungs by a flash of white. He coughed and wheezed for a moment before blinking at Lurkspurbreeze. It wasn't uncommon for Speckledhare to get distracted... the nosey tom did tend to hyper-fixate on anything that catches his attention.
"Slow down," he laughed once he managed to get his breath back, "Where's the fire?" A playful gleam in his eyes, he thought he was funny.

Goldenstrike
Wrinkling his nose as hay rained down on him, Goldenstrike sleepily batted it off of his face. He had heard one of his clanmates say something, but he couldn't place the voice to a name. The golden tom yawned and opened his eyes to reply, but when he registered his surroundings, he realized that he wasn't back in the Aridclan den. In fact, he was still in the hayloft of the ranch.
Leaping to his feet with his claws unsheathed, Goldenstrike wheeled his head around to try and find where the voice had come from. It didn't take long for him to make eye contact with a pretty orange and white she-cat who stared down at him from the bale above. He could tell by her scent that she wasn't a clan cat, and she didn't seem like much of a threat, so he resheathed his claws.
"And you are...?" He trailed off, sitting confidently as he looked her up and down, analyzing her as he spoke. This molly had the soft physique of a kittypet, paired with a friendly and open gaze. He was curious if she had met a cat from Aridclan before. He had a feeling that if she had, she may not have been so fearless around him. Though he supposed that since he was in her territory, and not the other way around, she didn't really have a reason to be afraid.

Falconwing
"Need some help with that?" Falconwing asked his sister as he watched her struggle to get the splinter out from her paw. He winced slightly as he got a better look. That would definitely hurt...
"Perhaps we should head back so you can have Sandyhawk take a look at it," he began, before whipping around at the sound of a growl behind them. Frozen in place momentarily as he locked eyes with a single coyote, the tabby tom felt his heart pound in his chest. "Cherryfrost, get out of here. I'll distract it," he whispered, crouching down and releasing his claws as he hissed at the scrawny predator. It looked scrappy, but intent on attack as it inched towards them, it's beady eyes glinting with rage. Every one of Falconwing's instincts told him to run, but he refused to leave before he knew his sister was safely on her way back to the clan, especially since she might be slower than normal with that nasty splinter.
With a deep breath, Falconwing risked one final glance to the side check Cherryfrost's position, before darting in the opposite direction, slowing slightly to make sure that the coyote was chasing him and not his sister. But once the race had begun, he picked up speed and darted for the boulders on the other side of the stream, praying to StarClan that he could find some sort of crevice to hide in or rock to jump on where the coyote couldn't follow.
Spotting a ledge on the side of a rocky outcrop that was about five tail-lengths off the ground, Falconwing sprang for it and landed nimbly on the narrow surface. He was panting heavily as he looked over the edge, where the coyote was snarling below, filled with anger at it's elusive prey. The grey tom didn't want to risk it giving up on him and going after Cherryfrost, so he taunted it a bit, hissing and batting at the air with his paw to remind the creature that he wouldn't go down without a fight. He only hoped that he could keep it's attention long enough for his sister to get back to camp and either return with help, or wait long enough for the beast to get bored and leave him be.

Tumblefawn โ leaving camp โ with Frogblaze Tumblefawn had began/begun to wonder if patrolling the Abandoned Cabin in a pair of two was a good idea. Surely there would be no problems unless they ran into a coyote... or coyotes. Just the thought of it made them feel tense inside and out. However, they needed to remember the clan's deputy was with them. Frogblaze was a strong, capable feline and they weren't like that whatsoever. They decided to put their faith into her, hoping that it would do them some good.
They held back a gulp, shaking out their pale coat quickly. Maybe the fear would roll off their back like it appeared to do for Frogblaze. So far it hadn't, but they felt confident that it would happen sooner than later. Padding after the deputy, Tumblefawn knew they needed to adjust their mindset. Going into this patrol scared like a kit would be useless. They needed to act and think like a true warrior. "Of course, I don't see why they would hang around for so long," they mewed, shutting their eyes briefly.
The sun felt blinding to the fawn tabby as they glanced up at it. At least the weather wasn't horrible and the warmth from it made their coat feel nice.
The sight of the red ticked tabby's tail moving upwards caught Tumblefawn's gaze. They purred quietly at the deputy's comment and grinned at her. "I have faith in you, Frogblaze! If we come across any coyotes, I bet you could take them down easily," they meowed with a smirk. "Not a single coyote stands a chance against you." A beam of sunlight hit Shypaw right in the eye, causing the young molly to flinch and duck her head down for a moment. Her ear twitched as she listened to Acaciapaw's suggestion. Truthfully, it wasn't a bad one and she couldn't help but pleased that Cowtail agreed. This was going to be fun.
She flexed her claws into the sand and glanced at Cowtail, "What team do you want me to be on?" she asked, tilting her head. She was always more than willing to follow her mentor's instruction to a tee. "Also are we just supposed to use what moves we know now... or should we try something different?" Shypaw wondered out-loud.
tbh i should make an excel sheet for when we all replied last so i know when it's time for me to xD instead it just took me days

Frogblaze ยป
What Frogblaze had said earlier wasnโt exactly a lie. Her fighting skills were rather impressive, perhaps not the best the Clan had to offer in terms of fighters, but she had a way of fighting that wasnโt entirely common. Her style was scrappy, a bit unpredictable, yet still withheld most of what was acceptable for an AridClan warrior. Frogblaze just hoped that would actually be enough to fend off a coyoteโฆor coyotes.
Tumblefawnโs enthusiasm toward her cockiness only spurred Frogblaze even more. Her tail quivered excitedly. A feeling indescribable to the molly came over her, warmer than the sun. Tumblefawn sounded like they actually believed in her, like they actually believed she was capable. That wasnโt something that happened often, or at all. This was new to her, something foreign and strange yet welcoming all at the same time.
She could have soaked in the feelings for a lot longer if not for some familiar scents coming to her on the breeze. Frogblazeโs nose twitched. Her eyes narrowed as names came to the scents. โAre Lilysong and Cloudburr nearby?โ She inquired, eyes flicking this way and that to try and find the pair she had just named. Frogblaze didnโt recall sending a patrol out to the cabin; she supposed the two had gone out on their own. Not many warriors liked to be stuck in camp.
This finding did dampen the deputyโs mood somewhat. While she had no personal problems with Cloudburr or Lilysong - neither of the two had gotten on her bad side in recent days and she didnโt particularly know either of them well due to age differences - she wasnโt entirely fond of the prospect of not being alone with Tumblefawn. What if they abandoned her just like Asterthorn had when they spotted the other two warriors? Frogblazeโs tail lowered as her ears moved closer to her skull. She slid into a more defensive posture, not liking the new options that had opened up.
Cowtail ยป
This was turning out a lot easier than Cowtail had expected. He had doubts that such a large group of apprentices with just one warrior would be manageable, but so far all four of the โpaws were eager to learn, listen, and volunteer. The warrior couldnโt have asked for an easier group. And in the back of his mind he told himself to put in a good word about all four to their mentors and to Twigstar as well.
With a pleased smile he turned to look toward Goosepaw and Acaciapaw. He nodded to both the toms. โI see no problems in letting you two be the defenders. Though,โ he looked directly at Acaciapaw, โwe should let the attackers keep their ears.โ His voice held amusement in the words yet a serious tone was there. He wanted the apprentices to take this seriously but he didnโt want to see any injuries.
Now turning to Shypaw he answered, โYou and Bluepaw will be the attackers. Use what you know, but donโt be afraid to get creative and do what you feel is right. Iโm not judging the four of you based on what you know, rather than how you put your skills to use in an effective manner or not. Is that clear to the four of you?โ Cowtail hoped that made sense to the four. If not he would find another way to explain, but hopefully this got the point across and they could soon begin their session.

She leaned back instinctively as the tom startled at her voice, watching as he shot to his paws. Her head titled as she took note of flashing of his claws. Skittish isn't he, a part of her felt amused and the other part could see reason in the startled reaction. She'd probably freak out too if someone woke her up that wasn't supposed to be in her house.
A pause. As the two felines took a moment to study each other. green eyes and she had to guess, he looked like he was her age. not a kitten at all.
"Maize," she meowed with a slight purr, seeing no true reason to be scared, "My name is Maize." If there was any danger, well... she knew how to run. One didn't live on the ranch and not learn a thing or two about being swift on their paws. And with that mentality, the fluffy molly slipped down off the bale, the bell on her collar making a small chime and padded over to the tom.
Discreetly, Maize scented the air. The tom's scent seemed unusual compared to kitty pets and barn cats she knew. He seemed to have anโฆ almost earthly undertone to his scent. Strange, maybe he isn't a cat but a golem, a huff of laughter escaping from her at that idea.
"It's only fair if you give me your name now," Maize reasoned with an expectant glance.

Tumblefawn โ near the Abandoned Cabin โ with Frogblaze mentions โ Lilysong & Cloudburr Tumblefawn could remember how Frogblaze fought in the past, even if it was just sparring as an apprentice. Although her moves were much different than their own, they found her to be impressive. Maybe it was the way she was able to catch an opponent off guard and strike back unpredictably. They weren't sure, but they know the deputy was a great fighter. As for themself, Tumblefawn was hesitant in fights. They would second guess themself often along with being a clumsy mess. However, if they were all-in, they were able to dodge gingerly. Their movements weren't great and they believed that other felines in the clan ranked much higher than them.
Normally, the fawn tabby didn't care much for cockiness. Yet Frogblaze's cockiness made them feel delighted on the inside. It was like rays of sunshine moving in their belly. Just watching the red ticked tabby doing her job with passion made them grin.
Tumblefawn followed her lead, lifting their pink nose to the air. Two familiar scents lingered, possibly that of their clanmates. "It smells like it. They must not be too far either," they replied, twitching their whiskers. "Why did they come out here? I don't remember seeing them leave camp..."
Thoughts swirled in the clumsy cat's mind. Had Cloudburr and Lilysong left on their own without taking a third cat with them? Not that it mattered, but the Abandoned Cabin was dangerous. It sounded quite hypocritical of them to criticize their clanmates. They were his superiors and they knew the territory better than him. Surely they were okay... right? They glanced at Frogblaze, noticing her ears lowering to her skull. Tumblefawn slid up next to her, their ears pricking up for any sounds. A faint cry was barely noticeable to them.
"Do you hear anything? Maybe we should go look for them. It's not safe for them to be out here without being together," they mewed, turning to Frogblaze for an answer. Their tail flicked from side to side, briefly touching the deputy's flank to comfort her. [ tags: Feathertalon , Brindlebriar , & ๐ธ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐ ] | credit: unsplash, cc0 licensed

Frogblaze ยป
Now this was annoying. Frogblaze was so sure that no other cat would dare step paw near the abandoned cabin. Her tail swished back and forth, annoyance ruffling her pelt. What was she going to do if a coyote did happen to be in the area and Tumblefawn decided to leave her for Cloudburr and Lilysong? She would be a coyote's meal for sure. She'd meet the same fate as her father did just a moon ago. Her throat went dry, ears completely flattening against her cranium. "They went to the cabin, too. Though..." She paused in her words as, for once, a rational thought entered her mind. Frogblaze stood a little taller as she mewed, "If they're out here and nothing seems to be wrong, there may not be any coyotes..."
Just as the words left the deputy's mouth the faintest of cries echoed out around the desert. Frogblaze paused in her steps, glancing toward Tumblefawn. Without even realizing it she had pressed up against the other warrior, ruddy fur intermingling with fawn. "Yeah, I...I heard it, too," she informed quietly, voice no more than a whisper. Eyes staring straight ahead she fell silent, muscles rigid underneath her pelt, claws unsheathing. The breeze carried no scent of canine, only the scent of Clanmates and dust, but everything in Frogstorm was telling her that there was a coyote out there. Her muscles screamed at her to run, her heart telling her to turn tell and run back to camp, and she would. Frogblaze would no doubt leave and let Cloudburr and Lilysong be torn apart by a coyote if not for the fact that Tumblefawn was right there with her.
Her limbs were shaky as she took a step forward. "Let's go skin some coyotes," she hissed, channeling her fear into fury as she strode forward, closing the distance between herself and the cabin.

She lifted her eyes from her paw and locked them with a scrappy coyotes. Frozen in fear and pain, her fur rose to make her look twice her size out of instinct. Her back arched as she let out a gnarly growl. "Cherryfrost, get out of here. I'll distract it," She opened her mouth to snap back at him, but he was already bolting up into the face of the danger to taunt it away from her. "Falconwing! You mouse-brain!" She spat, slamming her hurt paw on the ground. She whined silently and shook her head. Before she could even decide for herself what to do, Falconwing had lured the animal away. Angry with him, she bolted to camp, trying her best to ignore the stabbing pain that radiates with every paw step. Bursting into camp, she yowled. "Falconwing is being chased by a Coyote!" She wasn't sure who would help them, or if they would, but she couldn't just leave him out there. She panicked and turned to go back out of the camp, but staying close to the entrance, her ears perked for any signs of her brother.

He squeaked, crouching down, getting ready for the first attack. He would be lying if he didn't feel a little nervous about this, seeing he didn't know half the moves everyone else did. He shrugged it off, not wanting to be distracted in thought when someone came onto him.

Goldenstrike
Goldenstrike had to stifle a small chuckle in his chest as he heard the she-cat's name. Maize? What kind of a name was that? He wondered, before trying it out on his tongue. "Maize, hmm? Interesting name. Where does it come from?" The tom asked, tilting his head in consideration.
When the fluffy she-cat hopped down beside him, he stood his ground, not backing away to show that he was not afraid of her. But as a result, he could feel his long fur brush with hers and send a tingle up his spine. Sucking in a breath at her sweet, but foreign scent, Goldenstrike narrowed his eyes. "What was that noise?" he meowed, raising a paw confidently towards her neck to bat at the small metal piece that dangled off her collar. It rang out softly, and he laughed. "That must make hunting difficult. I bet this scares away all the prey!"
Realizing he had forgotten to answer her question regarding his own name, he returned his paw to the ground and proudly said, "My name is Goldenstrike. I am a warrior of Aridclan." The orange tabby was proud to belong to Aridclan, and figured that this fact would impress the pretty molly, if she knew anything about clan cats.

โโโโ-ใโใโโโโ- Orangesky with Prickletooth & Spiderfur camp @ Sand , Brindlebriar The orange tabby didn't even try to hide her snickering ass Prickletooth continued to go off on Spiderfur, throwing insults and reads at the older tom. Orangesky had always admired her friend's quick comebacks and courage to tell others off, whether they deserved it or not. She brought up a paw, licking the side of it to groom her cheek, as if to wash away the invisible residue that was left behind by Spiderfur. What she hated the most was that he did it to get under her skin, and it worked. They hadn't even done anything to the grumpy tom that should've illicit such a patronizing response. Whatever, she just wanted to share her piece of prey with Prickletooth in peace.
At least, that's what she was hoping for before he brought up his intentions to get back at the gray furred warrior. Orangesky kept her head down, nosing through the pile until she snatched up the quail she'd just been eyeing. Part of her could care less about enacting whatever revenge Prickletooth had in mind, but when it came to the cream colored tom, she could hardly deny him. After setting down the quail at their paws, her pale green eyes briefly settled on Spiderfur has he took up space near the entrance of the camp.
"What did you have in mind?" She finally asked. Cloudburr had stalked off in the opposite direction, finding himself near the edge of the abandoned cabin. It probably wasn't the best place to be hunting when it was just the two of them, but he figured the recent sighting of coyotes had driven most of the snakes away. He was poised low to the ground, crouched down as he was staring at a different mouse just a few fox-lengths away. Part of him was relieved to have found some prey on his own. He couldn't just rely on Lilysong to catch everything. What would that say about him? Probably that he was getting old. His haunches wiggled in the air, paws pressed to the ground as he was about ready to launch himself forward, knowing he would land square on the mouse when-
"Cloudburr!"
The sound of his name startled both him and the mouse, the fuzzy brown creature racing away as the white tom tried to collect himself. It sounded like Lilysong, and judging by the tone of her voice, something was wrong. Cloudburr was on his paws and quickly racing to where he thought he heard his companion, which he confirmed by racing his nose to the air and following her scent. A couple other familiar scents wafted nearby, but he was too focused on Lilysong's to give them a second thought.
"Lilysong!" He called out when he spotted the smaller brown molly. Fear nearly froze his paws when he spotted the rattler coiled up just in front of her, looking ready to strike. "Oh, great StarClan you've got to be kidding." The larger tom muttered under his breath, trying to ignore his bundle of nerves as he leapt forward. With his paws outstretched, he managed to crash into the rattle snake and keep it from lunging for Lilysong. Now he was on top of the snake, using his weight to his advantage to keep the creature down. "Run! Get help!" He ordered, unaware that Frogblaze and Tumblefawn were already so close.

(Sand Feathertalon Do yโall want to write replies before or after I reply with Lilysong?
Also does anyone at camp want to hop in with Cherryfrost? If not I can get Falconwing back to camp on his own, but if anyone wanted to throw their cats in with Cherryfrost to assist, I can wait.)

Tumblefawn โ Abandoned Cabin โ with Frogblaze mentions โ Lilysong & Cloudburr Tumblefawn was racking their mind over the patrols they heard announced in camp. It felt stupid and irrational to do so, but not much else made them calm in the moment. Maybe they went out together without anyone else knowing, they mused. Concern for their clanmates, but most especially for Frogblaze grasped their innards. Thankfully the deputy's rational thought eased the pale cat's own thoughts. Yet the sound of a faint cry changed that immediately.
They were pressed up against Frogblaze without realizing the molly had done the same. It took them a moment to notice how close she was to them. It was comforting somehow, despite the circumstances. The fawn tabby lifted their nose to the air, noticing the scents of their clanmates, dust, and Frogblaze's scent as well. "I just hope they're safe," they whispered back. Their clanmates didn't need to face the coyotes like Russetnose and Twigstar had.
Swallowing the doubt that felt cemented in their throat, Tumblefawn knew they had to be brave. They needed to be brave and strong like Frogblaze. They slowly took a step forward with trembling limbs, hurrying after the deputy. "Right, we're going to skin some coyotes!" they mumbled to themself.
