Rosemary Blooming under Sun - w/ Dusk - desert
"In the eye? Yikes..." Rosemary trailed off, getting a little lost in her thoughts. When Dusk dropped the lizard, the sand runner tried to suppress a chuckle, but stopped and waited for him to pick it back up. The walked a few paces in silence before Rosemary got a mischievous glint in her eyes. "So, who's this cat you have a crush on?" She asked with an amused purr. In all honesty, she didn't think Dusk would tell her. It's not like they were that close after all.

Her honeyed gaze flickered to Sun's tail as he motioned for her to sit beside him. His reassurance made her relax, and Star felt herself give the slightest of smiles as she padded over to him, keeping a respectful distance between as she sat down. The fluffy molly tucked her chin to smooth down the fur on her chest with her tongue, trying to wash away any nervousness that seemed to linger. "Tell me about your last trade." Star finally spoke after quickly grooming herself, then she lifted her head to look him in the eyes. 'You just came back not too long ago from your recent excursion, right? Where did you go?"

"Maybe bigger?" Storm's eyes widened and he tried to imagine what it would be like to take down a predator that was bigger than him. He was confident that he would be fine, trusting his training with Sunflower. Then again, he also imagined that he wouldn't be taking on any beast alone. There was a reason why they usually went out in patrols of more than two. His attention is brought to the medicine den entrance when Mouse walks in, her mouth full of catmint. Storm took a pawstep back, making room for Fang as he stood, then looking between the two as he pressed Mouse for where she'd been. The look of shock from being caught was apparent on the to-be's face, and her tone sounded nervous as she spoke. He looked to the older toms, wondering how they would handle the situation. 



Duke - w/ Cinnamon - twoleg camp
It wasn't until Mouse had left when Duke emerged, looking pretty ragged and tired. He was finally getting over an awful cough, one that made his throat feel sore and raw. Their twolegs had been keeping him separate from his sister until just yesterday, when he'd gone the whole day without hacking. "Who was that?" Duke asked in a hoarse voice, yellow eyes narrowing at Cinnamon. "You shouldn't be talking to strangers, yknow."

Dusk almost froze, but kept walking. He almost felt angered at Rosemary’s question.
“Why do you wanna know…?” He asked, holding in anger.

Sunflower held in a sigh. At least Fang wasn’t gonna tell Mouse’s mentor.
“Fang is right,” Sunflower admitted, “You go out of camp alone without permission again we will have to have a chat with Cloud.”

Cinnamon turned to her brother.
“Just some young tribe cat. She means no harm!” Cinnamon informed Duke.

Sky in Camp with Petal

Sky's eyes widened, she hadn't thought of asking a tom to father them. "I didn't think of that," she meowed. Sky had always wanted kits of her own, but she was nervous that she wouldn't be a good enough mother to them. "Maybe I'll think about that."

Buck Outside Sand Runner Den with Branch

"Thank you, Branch," he meowed gratefully. Buck took a bite and then slid it over to Branch so that the other tom could take a bite of the mouse.

If Rosemary had picked on his eager, then she didn't show it. She looked at Dusk from her peripherals and was quiet for a moment, giving a shrug as they walked. "Why wouldn't I want to know? It's always exciting to hear about someone else's crush, plus I'm curious." Her joints were starting to ache at this point from her paws sinking into the soft sands with every step. Maybe she should've just tried to stick close to the crescent camp borders. "Are you worried I'm going to turn around and tell them?"

Storm frowned and avoided trying to look at Mouse. He could hear the guilt in her tone as she apologized. The young tom felt sympathetic to Mouse's situation, it couldn't be easy to get scolded by two cats who weren't your rank, or mentor. But, Fang and Sunflower were right. There was a reason why they had the system they did, to keep the cats of the tribe safe from as much harm as possible. Storm shifted uncomfortably then leaned over to Sunflower. "I'll bring you some food." He was out of the medicine den before the older sand runner could respond. 


Duke - w/ Cinnamon - twoleg camp
Duke's expression hardened, scowling at Cinnamon. "You don't know that. Those tribe cats can be vicious, y'know. I wouldn't put it past them if they wanted to hurt us just because they could." He huffed, but doing so made him have to clear his throat, close to another coughing fit. The tabby tom slowly went over to one of their water bowls and lapped at it, enjoying the relief it brought. "Don't get so friendly with them, Cinnamon."

Cloud hummed as he thought for a bit"Can you bring me some moss? It should be growing by the water. I want to add it to the floor of the dens to make it a bit more comfortable"


Fang shook his head"she reminds me of Cloud at her age"he said with a chuckle.

"Always dear"she said, nuzzling her


"Not really"he said with a shrugging just have too much energy right now"

"So, how are you enjoying living here?"he asked"Sandseer said you all came from a place with cold sand! I didn't think sand could be cold"

He nodded"we just need to let it dry a bit. You can set it down by me. Other than that, you should be good the rest of the day. Go relax a bit"


"Well yeah, because he understands the dangers now...especially after that eagle attack. He blames himself for Root getting hurt"

"Still, I feel bad"he said with a snort"You're tough though, you'll get better soon"

"Well you are, especially if you had to deal with us as kits. We caused so many issues"

Buck swallowed a bit of mouse before answering. "Well, I actually enjoy it here. Although, I don't think Snow does." He took another bite, chewed, and swallowed. "We also didn't call it 'cold sand' we called it dirt. And I actually came from a forest."

(Sorry. Two of my cats are in or gonna be in the medicine den)

Buck shrugged. "Why is sand called sand and not hot dirt, hm?" He bent down and took the last bite of the mouse. As he was chewing, he dug a small hole to bury the remains.
