If you read the rules, please put dunes in your form RanksSandseer: Leader of the tribe, speaks directly to their ancestors and helps heal those who are sick or injured. They are chosen by the previous Sandseer. Sand Runners: Cats with sandy or brown pelts that traverse through the sands around their home. They usually look for other Oasis to move the clan to should their current one dry up. They also bring supplies back from them. Shadow Guards: Cats with darker pelts to help blend in with the shadows of their Oasis. They are trained to protect their clanmates from dangers at home, like vipers or large birds of prey. Den Caretakers: Usually those with unusually light pelt colors, they are trained in basic healing and are made to care for kits, elders, and queens within the main part of the camp. Traders: Cats with lighter pelts, usually those who are rather fast and strong. They are charged with travelling to Twoleg camp, Murky Camp, or where there are large groups of camp to trade supplies. Most travel at night. To-bes: Cats six moons to twelve who are in training to work in their specific field. Queens: Those who are expecting kits or are currently nursing kits. Elders: The eldest members of the clan, those who have retired from their positions. They are sought after for their knowledge to help tribe members. TerritoryCrescent Camp (Northern Oasis): The current camp, shaped like a crescent moon. It is one of the smallest of the camps and safest from Twolegs. Only used during the colder months due to needed less water. Waterfall Camp (Eastern Oasis): A slightly larger oasis with a small waterfall. There is a cave underneath it that is cool most of the year. The cats find this spot important to their ancestors. Twoleg Camp (Southern Oasis): The largest of the camps the cats use, it is almost a lake in size with a small island at its center. The tribe cats come here during the summer, though the area has a small twoleg village. Murky Camp (Western Oasis): Named for the murky, greenish water, this is the camp used just before returning to the Crescent Camp. This area is a known spot for loners or wild cats to gather. Large Monster Path: A long path that runs between the Eastern and Southern Oasis, it is common to see large monsters go along it. More location open to suggestion The Serpent's Jaw: A large mountainous area to the north. It's sharp, jagged peaks resemble a snake's fangs. It is extremely difficult to traverse this area. The Loose Sands: An area to the far south, past the Twoleg Camp. It is where sand seems to slowly shift into more rocky footing. Herbs ( Source )
Bindweed- A vine-like plant with white, trumpet-like flowers and distinctive arrow-shaped green leaves. Grows almost anywhere like ivy. Vines can be used to tie things, most importantly sticks to broken legs to set the break. Borage- Commonly found in gardens and old dwellings. The whole plant is rough with white and prickly hairs. Flowers are blue or purple and star-shaped. Leaves are eaten to stimulate milk in queens. Can also bring down fevers Burnet- Small bush that grows in dry meadows. Has multiple oval-shaped leaves on multiple single stalks. In Leaf-Fall and late Green-Leaf, large clusters of small flower buds grow on the top of the plant. It is eaten as a travelling herb to keep a cat’s strength up. Little is known about it. Catchweed- A very small weed with fuzzy green orbs that grow tiny white flowers on long stems. Found where ever there is a lot of long grass and low vegetation. Burrs are very rarely used to keep poultices in place without irritating the wound or skin. Catmint- Also known as catnip. Is very rare to find in the wild and can normally only be found in two-leg gardens. Is a very delicious-smelling plant that is low to the ground and possesses small, bumpy, slightly fuzzy leaves. Are eaten to treat Greencough and Whitecough. Collect in the day so the morning dew will be gone and it won’t rot in storage. Chervil- A sweet-smelling plant that is large and very leafy. Has fern-like leaves and small white flowers. Roots are dark brown, gnarled and knoby. Grows in forests among rocky areas. Leaves are chewed and spit out for the juice on infected wounds. They can also be eaten to sooth a bellyache. They also assist in nausea that sometimes occurs when kitting. Cobwebs- Webs from a spider, normally old or abandoned. Can be best found in dark and secluded areas. Used like a cloth on open wounds to stop bleeding. Applied to recovering wounds to keep medicine in place or protect the wound. Feverfew- Composite plant that grows nearly everywhere, but most commonly near water. Has numerous, small, daisy-like heads of yellow flowers with outer white rays. Leaves are broad and downy. Most commonly eaten to sooth a fever. Also eaten to treat coughs, colds, wheezing, and difficult breathing. Can help with colic. Is very bitter. Knotgrass- A very common weed found relatively anywhere. The stems can grow up to six feet in length, with leaves that alternate and are stalkless. Leaves are narrow and oval. Roots are very strong and branching. A tonic can be made out of knotgrass to treat diarrhea. It can be directly administered to kill worms and fleas. Mouse Bile- Stomach bile taken from a dead mouse. Used to remove ticks and fleas from pelts Parsley- Found in moist soils that have a lot of sun. Grows low to the ground. Leaves are broad and crinkly and have ragged edges. Has tiny clumps of five to eight white or yellow flowers on a branching stalk. Generally has little use in most mammals but can stop milk flow in some queens. Is poisonous to birds. Rosemary- Tall, needled bush with small, light-purple flowers. Found relatively anywhere that is dry. Put on a dead cat to hide their scent, especially at burial. It is seen as a bad omen to smell rosemary when there is none around. Rush- Long, very very thin leaved plant with dark reddish-purple heads on its stalks. Grows in soils that don’t seem to grow anything else. Hard stalks are used to bind broken bones. Snakeroot- Best treatment for poison, especially from snake bites. Is a short-growing plant with numerous, very tiny white flowers in clusters and pointy and narrow green leaves. Chewed and applied directly to snake bites. Stick- A thin twig usually found on the ground. Given to cats in pain to bite on to keep them from crying out too much. Also used in binding broken bones. Yarrow- Grows pretty much everywhere. Stem is hard and long. Small white flowers grow in clumps. Eating any part of the plant fresh induces vomiting. Dry yarrow eaten in small quantities has been known to open bloodflow (when bitten by snake or in shock) and to help with colds. SandseerSandseer | 79 Moons | Moonclaw400 Sandseer, formerly Heat of Dying Fire, is a tawny spotted tabby tom with sharp yellow eyes. He has sleek fur though has some thicker fur around his face. He is a hybrid, his mother having been a tribe cat while his father a Sand Cat. He has old scars along his body from his moons of working for the clan. He was the only kit of his parents and was outcast as a tobe. He worked hard to get to where he is today. He is a rather stern cat, knowing the dangers these lands hold, but tries his best to be understanding to a point. Sand Runners

Sunflower is a pale ginger tom. His pelt contains small brown speckles along his back. Sunflower was born in the tribe alongside two other siblings, however they both died at birth leaving him the only kit. Sunflower is humble, yet protective and is usually quiet unless it come to problems with in the tribe or those he loves.
Rosemary Blooming under Sun (Rosemary) | Molly | 34 moons | Sand Runner | Rainy Rosemary is a tall red-furred molly with cream patches on her chin and chest. She has a fluffy tail, a notch in her left ear, and hazel eyes. Rosemary can be easily excitable, talkative, and a bit clumsy. She loves to explore the dunes and is known for venturing further out than she should. When Rosemary was a to-be, she and her mentor fought off an African wild dog, which killed her mentor and left the young molly with a couple of scars.

Rain is a small brown ticked tabby molly with hazel eyes. She has a long scar along her side and is missing the tip of one ear. She was born in the clan, though her mother died at a young age, leaving her in the care of her father. She loves working out in the sands, blending in fairly well. He was born to the Sandseer and Blue in one of their older litters. He is a rather clumsy, nervous tom, scared he's never living up to his parents expectations. Vulture is a towering tom with short, black fur, and deep green eyes. His pelt is riddled with scars. He is ambitious, irritable, and can come off cold. Vulture is hardly good with words and becomes awkward when trying to be vulnerable. He is proud of his sons accomplishments, even if it doesn't seem that way.
Dusk That Brings Cold (Dusk)| Tom | 39 moons | Spicefang Dusk has solid dark grey fur with a silver muzzle and green eyes. He is clingy, energetic, pessimistic, and is a fantastic hunter. His mother died while kitting to her second litter and his father mysteriously went missing a few moons ago. Dusk tries to be as loyal as possible to his tribe, but has a bad reputation from is negativity. He finds all his younger siblings awful, as he believed they were responsible for his mother’s death.
Fang of Hissing Viper (Fang) | 38 Moons | Moonclaw400 Fang is a bulky dark gray mackeral tabby tom. He has white on his front paw tips and dark blue eyes. He was born in the clan with his littermate Cloud. He was always protective of his littermate, due to the other having too bright of a pelt to really leave camp. He is a polite tom, though rather quiet. He finds his actions speak more than he words ever will.

A lean molly, Star is a long-furred black cat with white fur on her chin, chest, and front paws. She has dark amber eyes. Star can be pretty shy, sensitive, and tends to overthink. She is a perfectionist that works hard and struggles to relax. Born to a kittypet mother and tribe father, Star was separated from her sister and raised in the tribe. Blue is a small, short-furred all white molly with a long tail and thin paws. She has a pink nose and bright blue eyes. Blue is a very kind and motherly cat, normally soft-spoken, except for when she needs to be stern. Not very confrontational, she tries to avoid conflict as much as possible. Born in the tribe to Fennec and Wind, her parents died soon after her to-be test. She had been infatuated with Sandseer long before they became mates, and loves the family they've created.
Cloud Shrouding the Blazing Sun (Cloud) | 38 Moons | Moonclaw400 Cloud is a bulky, manly white tom with sparse patches of gray mackerel tabby. He has bright green eyes. Cloud was born in the clan with her littermate Fang. While pitied by his brother, the tom still tries to prove himself daily. He works to make sure the clan stays running, mainly by bringing new nesting material or water to those in camp.

The markings on his face are perfectly split, half white and half tabby. Cactus is charming and friendly, but can be pretty oblivious at times. He seems to have a one-track mind and struggles to pay attention for too long. Born and raised in the tribe, Cactus never knew his father as he left before he was old enough to remember. His mother, Wren, was heartbroken and passed away from sickness when he was a to-be.
Glitter of Bright Star (Glitter) | 23 moons | Den Caretaker | Tawnyfire Glitter is a sleek furred, solid white she-cat with odd green eyes, since neither of her parents have green eyes. Glitter has a long tail and thicker fur around her face, along with a small scar under her left eye. Glitter takes pride in her work as a den caretaker and loves taking care of other cats, though she hopes to have kits of her own one day to look after. Glitter is Optimistic and seems to always have energy to spare, but loves teasing those she cares for. Traders (Limit 5)Fox that Hunts Quick Prey (Fox) | 32 Moons | Trader | T1nkdraws Fox is a smallish sleek tan tabby tom with white markings on the underside of his face and belly, having more golden coloration on his face and yellow eyes. He has a scar across his face, running down his muzzle and a few nicks in his ears. Hybrid. E.g. A loyal, disciplined and tough tom, Fox is rather critical and can also be quite irritable at times, though he tries to be as patient as he can, especially with those he cares about. He is hard-working and honest, trying to be a good role-model for his kind, teaching those who want to be taught when he can which leads to him having a soft-spot for kits and apprentices. He joined the tribe after moons of being a loner after escaping a two-leg breeder where he was born after seeing Sandseer, Fox fought long and hard to be accepted in the tribe, being granted credibility because of the presence of another hybird and was granted the rank of Trader due to his tabby-cat quickness and Sand-cat strength. Pale Glow of Setting Sun (Sun) | 26 moons | Trader | Tawnyfire Sun is a Fluffy, Cinnamon mackerel tabby tom with lighter face markings, chest and underbelly; along with a cream diamond shaped marking on his forehead. Sun has pale green eyes and a small scar just above his paw where he got caught in brambles as a To-be. Sun was born to Light and Sky along side his siblings, he still misses both his parents due to their untimely passing a few moons ago. Sun tends to work with the Sand-runner's when not trading or visiting the other camps.
Blossom on Succulent Cactus (Blossom) | 26 Moons | Trader | ⊰∙∘☽ ᗴⓝ𝓒н𝐚Ň𝕥𝔪€𝔫𝐓 ☾∘∙⊱ Blossom is a tortoiseshell she-cat with green eyes. Blossom is a cat who tends not to get close to other cats. She's a mysterious cat, keeping her feeling locked up tight and not showing much emotion. Blossom was born with a kittypet mother and a tribe father. She happened to be sent to the tribe with Star and was shocked to learn that Petal was her sister and her mother was a kittypet. Since then, she has made a vow not to trust anybody.

Cobweb is a fawn molly with white paws and underbelly. She had originally trained as a Den Caretaker, but soon took up the position of Trader when she was found to be a quick runner. While her pelt prevented her from day travel, she was able to stay cool easily at night. She is rather snappy, wanting to be out of camp. She does assist the Den caretakers when not out visiting the other cats in the area.
ToBesNight with Endless Stars (Night) | 11 Moons | To Be Shadow Guard | ⊰∙∘☽ ᗴⓝ𝓒н𝐚Ň𝕥𝔪€𝔫𝐓 ☾∘∙⊱ Night is a black tom with white speckles and yellow eyes. Night is a some what grumpy cat who gets irritated easily. Around cats he's close with, he is usually very soft, but still a bit grumpy. He's pretty good at hiding in the shadows. Sometimes, he likes to jump out of the shadows and scare his Triebmates. Night was born into Tribe of Fallings Sands. Rumble of Distant Thunder (Thunder) | 9 Moons | Sand Runner ToBe | Moonclaw400
Thunder is a lanky cream molly with yellow eyes. She is dappled with small white spots along her back. She was born in the clan to the Sandseer. She feels like she doesn't do enough for him and usually overworks herself. Despite this, she is a rather kind cat.

Mouse has a completely silver shining pelt. She has green eyes and the tip of her tail is dark grey. Mouse is bossy and sassy, yet still patient. She was born in her mother’s second litter, however her mother died kitting. Mouse despises her older brother Dusk and believes he is a negative wannabe. Deep down she believes she is useless to her tribe due to only be training to become a den caretaker, and wishes to be a sand runner despite her pelt color. Her father went missing a few moons ago, leaving just her and her siblings. Storm that Brews on Clouded Sky (Storm) | Tom | 9 moons | (Sand Runner) To-Be | Rainy Storm is an orange spotted tabby tom with hazel eyes that look more green in direct sunlight. He is known to be selfless, intuitive, and recklessly brave. Born to the Sandseer and Blue, he feels some unknown pressures to be the flawless, as if there are eyes on him at all times. He tries to not let this consume his every action, often trying to find time to sneak away with his sister.
Flicker of dying flame (Flicker) | 8 moons | Sand-runner ToBe | Tawnyfire Flicker is a medium furred, ginger classic tabby tom with lighter fur on their face and neck. Flicker has green eyes, but is blind in the left one. Flicker is a curious and optimistic tom, often having an air of innocence without meaning too. Flicker can be recklessly protective if someone he cares for is in danger and often puts others before himself, to the point he tends to bottle up his own emotions. Flicker was found in the desert as a kit and taken in by the clan, no evidence was found regarding his parents the days after being found.

Petel is a diluted cream and silver tortishell molly with blue eyes. She has rather long, silky fur. Petel was born to a kittypet mother, her father being a tribe cat. She was brought to the clan as a kit, her mother giving her up to her father. She worked hard as a Den Caretaker, eventually falling in love. Her mate, a cat known as Pebble that Sits in River, passed shortly after she found she was expecting, during the annual journey. She's a rather loud molly, speaking her mind if she thinks something is wrong. Rushing Water Running in Stream (Stream) | Tom | 1 Moon | Spicefang | Stream is a large silver marbled tabby with blue eyes. He is rather curious, as he enjoys wondering off and going on walks. Stream is very easygoing, but gets distracted easily. He was born to Petal and Pebble in the tribe, but Pebble died moons before he was born. Stream is known for looking like his father, which sometimes makes his mother upset with grief. Hare that Listens for Danger (Hare)

Root is a large black tom with amber eyes. He is covered in old scars, one even blinding him in both eyes. He is very soft spoken, though loves to tell the kits and apprentices stories. He does his best to make sure each has a lesson they can learn from. He was born in the clan to one of the former Sandseers, and worked as a Shadow Guard for most of his life. He retired early after being blinded while fighting off an eagle. He knows his time might be coming soon, but wants to make the most of every moment he has left. Loners/Kittypets/RoguesCinnamon | 16 Moons | Kittypet | She-cat | Spicefang | Cinnamon is a kittypet who lives at twolegplace. She has a short brown tabby pelt that has some small white spots. Cinnamon was born a loner, but as a kit was taken in by twolegs. She is rather playful, curious, and energetic. Cinnamon finds the tribe cats interesting, but never considered joining them. Sometimes she is found wondering away from her twoleg’s nest, but never goes to far. Duke | Tom | 16 moons | Kittypet | Rainy Duke is a slender brown tom with a classic tabby pattern, and white boots. He's got a long, feathery tail and piercing yellow eyes. Duke is cautious, protective, and distrustful. He likes to take charge of situations and is highly critical. His prickly attitude comes from his desire to keep his loved ones safe, even if it doesn't come across that way. Duke was born a loner, along with his sister Cinnamon, but was renamed and adopted by twolegs.

Prophecies
Main plot: The current Sandseer has had a vision that he will pass within the year. He is now working to pick who to train as his successor.
Traditions
The Journey: Towards the end of a season, the cats travel to the next Oasis. It goes North -> East -> South -> West before starting over. It is to make sure each has plenty of water while also giving animals a chance to come back.
Test of the Sands: A test given to ToBes to see if they are ready for their full roles. It is usually something the mentors and Sandseer discus, each test being unique to the role of the ToBe.
Test of the Waterfall: A test given to those taking up the role of Sandseer. It happens at the Waterfall Camp, the cat doing the test must remain in the cave for three days, or until their ancestors speak to them.
Ceremony of Ancestors: When a cat passes, they are laid to rest under the sand near their camp. They are usually laid to rest with sage flowers and something reflecting their name or something they held dear.

(alrighty! might add more later, but just flicker for now. image from Pixel WC OC Generator)  Flicker of dying flame (Flicker) | 7 moons | Sand-runner ToBe | Tawnyfire Flicker is a medium furred, ginger classic tabby tom with lighter fur on their face and neck. Flicker has green eyes, but is blind in the left one. Flicker is a curious and optimistic tom, often having an air of innocence without meaning too. Flicker can be recklessly protective if someone he cares for is in danger and often puts others before himself, to the point he tends to bottle up his own emotions. Flicker was found in the desert as a kit and taken in by the clan, no evidence was found regarding his parents the days after being found. open to crush | to young for a mate | open to siblings | other |

Mouse that Dashes Through Sand (Mouse)

Mouse has a completely silver shining pelt. She has green eyes and the tip of her tail is dark grey. Mouse is bossy and sassy, yet still patient. She was born in her mother’s second litter, however her mother died kitting. Mouse despises her older brother Dusk and believes he is a negative wannabe. Deep down she believes she is useless to her tribe due to only be training to become a den caretaker, and wishes to be a sand runner despite her pelt color. Her father went missing a few moons ago, leaving just her and her siblings.

Dusk has solid dark grey fur with a silver muzzle and green eyes. He is clingy, energetic, pessimistic, and is a fantastic hunter. His mother died while kitting to her second litter and his father mysteriously went missing a few moons ago. Dusk tries to be as loyal as possible to his tribe, but has a bad reputation from is negativity. He finds all his younger siblings awful, as he believed they were responsible for his mother’s death.

It had been almost a moon since the tribe had made its journey back to the Crescent Camp. The Sandseer slowly left his den to look over the camp. There was much to do, dens needed repair, borders needed to be fixed once more, and more over they needed to look over their herb supply once more.
Rain smiled as she left the Sand Runner's den, hurrying over to the ToBes. Many were busy with fixing up camp once more, so she was going to teach a few future Sand Runners how they help with repairs.
Fang grunted as he stayed in bushes near the border of the Oasis. His eyes darted back and forth, keeping an eye for any large birds or wild dogs.
Cloud wandered around the main section of camp, helping work on the dens. They had fallen into disrepair, each having bits missing due to either weather or larger animals eating them. He sighed, tail flicking as he dragged some of the most damaged bits further away.

Dusk that Brings Cold (Dusk)

Dusk paced around the entrance of the Crescent Camp. He got up early, not wanting anything to harm his tribe during his sleep. It was a surprisingly quiet day around the tribe, no hawks or anything. However, Dusk was sure something would happen. In his mind a day without disappointment wasn’t a true day. He thought everyone had to face challenges to grow. Apparently, many other cats didn’t think this, as they found him pessimistic.
Sun shined on his pelt while the wind blew. He felt lonely, and wanted someone to approach him. Suddenly, he spotted something in the corner of his eye. A monitor lizard. There was his challenge for the day.

Mouse marched towards the place where the tribe cats kept herbs. She had to grab some mouse-bile as she was ordered to do so. Since there was no elders at the moment, she decided to check Sandseer for ticks.
She disliked doing mouse-bile, in fact she disliked her job all together. Her pelt colors landed her in this position, but she wished to be running along the sand catching prey as a sand runner. She was having trouble coping with her father vanishing. He was the only person there for her due to her mother dying while giving birth to her and her brother absolutely hating her with all his heart.
While preparing the mouse-bile she scanned the herb supply. Perhaps she ought to ask the sand runners to gather some. She’d ask Flicker of Dying Flame, a fellow to-be.

Sandseer was checking in on the various dens, making sure his tribemates were doing alright. He gave Mouse a slow nod once he saw the molly"Young Mouse, how is your training? Are you assisting your Mentor Cloud?"he asked softly. The older tom had been thinking of which cats would make good successors, knowing that he was getting up there in Moons.
Fang looked over, hearing Dusk pace. He made his way over, frowning when he saw the Monitor Lizard"Dusk? Are you sure? They're poisonous"
Petel slowly left the nursery, stretching as she moved to lay in the sun. She was still mourning her mate, but knew she had to keep moving forward. She laid her head down, just trying to rest.
