Tribe of Falling Sands (Open!!!)

Sky in Camp with Petal

Sky nodded, sitting beside Petal. "So, when are the kits supposed to come?" She asked, trying to start a bit of small talk.

Buck Outside Sand Runner Den with Branch

Buck shrugged, "Nothing really that interesting to report. Just the regular snakes and scorpions." The patrols seemed quite quiet lately with nothing interesting happening.

Blue Sky Over Sandy Dunes - w/ Sandseer - sandseer's den
It was hard not to feel giddy when he called her darling, or any type of pet name. Blue obediently trotted after her beloved, waiting until Sandseer was comfortable before she curled up right beside him. She took a moment to look around the den, remembering all of the times she'd stayed here after he'd been promoted to Sandseer, and now realizing that the rest of their time at this camp would be her last in this nest. The white molly nuzzled up to her mate and shut her eyes. "I'll miss you desperately when you're gone."


Flight of Stalking Vulture - w/ open - crescent camp
Vulture grumbled as Cloud encouraged him to go and rest. He might've argued back and remained adamant to stay, if only his paws weren't beginning to ache. "Oh alright, have it your way then." The bulky tom began to pad away, but looked over his shoulder one last time. "I'm not about to retire to the elder's den, so you can keep that worry out of your voice." And with that he marched off to the shallow pool in the camp. 

Vulture grunted as he lowered to the ground, ducking his head so his pink tongue could dart into the surprisingly cool water. He lapped at the pool for a few moments before standing and going to find some shade to lay in. While there wasn't much of a difference in heat during the seasons, he appreciated how it didn't get to be blazing hot this time of year. If his dark fur had been any longer, then he might've melted under the sun long ago. 


Rosemary Blooming under Sun - w/ Dusk - desert
Rosemary perked up when he agreed to help her, which honestly was the least he could do after she'd given him such great advice. The russet sand runner nodded her head as she began to bound away in the sand. "Not far off from here, follow me!" It was pretty impressive that any cat could remember where they'd kept anything when there weren't too many land markers in the desert. Once she'd gotten to her spot, Rosemary dug into the sand and revealed a couple of mice, and a couple of lizards. "I figured I could carry them all back by their tails, but if I don't have to then I'll take all the help I can get!"


Star that Twinkles in Night - with/ - location
"Oh! Well, I just wanted to chat. Is that alright?" Star had just moved into the shade that Sun was sitting in, but now she looked like she was about to start backing up. "I can leave if you'd rather be left alone." She sounded wary, as if the tom was quick to anger, even though she knew him to be rather mellow. The black-furred molly also knew that her company wasn't exactly exciting, so she wouldn't blame Sun if he preferred to be alone than talk to her.


Storm that Brews on Clouded Sky - w/ Fang & Sunflower - medicine den
The young tom looked over Sunflower again, just realizing that his mentor was fast asleep after Fang had mentioned it. he frowned and looked to the shadow guard. "That's good to know. Should I come back later when he wakes up, or can I wait with you?" As he spoke, Storm glanced around, trying to spot if there were any den caretakers around. He could make out Cactus shuffling around in the back and he felt himself relax.

“That’s a good technique, but it seems you just caught more then you expected. Half the tribe will be fed with this fresh-kill!” He said. Dusk picked up several mice and lizards by there tails. Rosemary caught quite a lot, but that was good. Prey had been scarce since they moved to the northern oasis, so it was great to have. Dusk suddenly realized Rosemary was right, good things happen along with the bad things.

Mouse realized how bored she felt. Wondering around doing repairs was not what she wanted to do. She was left alone with no orders, perhaps she should go outside camp and grab some herbs. Perhaps catch some prey.
Mouse knew she wasn’t supposed to go out of camp alone as a den caretaker. Especially as a den caretaker to-be. But what mattered? She’d go to twolegplace and show everyone how she was imprisoned in the camp. Mouse escaped the oasis easily, but she had to get around the several shadow guards. To her luck, she did. Her journey to twolegplace began.

Sunflower quietly awoke. It was as if her sensed Storm’s presence. He felt more energized then he was earlier, and wanted to do his duties. But then Sunflower remembered he was in the medicine den and Blue told him to stay put. He looked around and saw his to-be Storm near him.
“Storm?” He mumbled.

Petal nodded"any thoughts of kits yet?"she asked with a smile


"Want to share some prey? Caught some mice earlier"

Blue Sky Over Sandy Dunes - w/ Sandseer - sandseer's den
"I know you will." Blue spoke just as softly, and suddenly felt herself starting to get sleep. It was late in the day and she'd woken up just before the sun rose, but she told Sunflower that she'd be right back. Arguing mentally with herself only made her more tired. The white den caretaker snuggled closer to Sandseer, maybe a short nap wouldn't hurt, plus there was a reason why there were more den caretakers. "Wake me before it gets dark?" 


Rosemary Blooming under Sun - w/ Dusk - desert
"That's what I was hoping for!" Rosemary said with a purr then leaned down and picked up the remaining mice and lizards. She then began the long trek back to crescent camp, trotting beside Dusk. Her hazel eyes glanced around every now and again, trying to look for any movement in the sands. It seemed a bit unlikely, but they could be spotted by predators because of her companion's dark fur. Then again, Dusk was a shadow runner so at least he knew how to fight. Rosemary supposed she wasn't that nervous then. 


Storm that Brews on Clouded Sky - w/ Fang &  - location
The sand runner to-be smiled a bit as Fang moved over for him, he took a step forward about to settle between them when Sunflower suddenly woke up. An immense wave of relief washed over the tom, not realizing that he'd been that worried. "Sunflower, hi! I heard you got hurt and wanted to check up on you." Storm crouched down in front of his mentor, smiling softly. "How're you feeling?"

Cinnamon is a kittypet who lives at twolegplace. She has a short brown tabby pelt that has some small white spots. Cinnamon was born a loner, but as a kit was taken in by twolegs. She is rather playful, curious, and energetic. Cinnamon finds the tribe cats interesting, but never considered joining them. Sometimes she is found wondering away from her twoleg’s nest, but never goes to far.

“Things were pretty quiet…until Sunflower got bitten by a monitor lizard. From what I heard he’s doing well though. Otherwise, everyone is working on repairs really.” Dusk replied. He understood what Rosemary said about focusing. His mother had told him the same thing when he was a to-be.

“Tell you what,” Mouse said, “I’ll come and visit again if you let me leave now.” Cinnamon’s face lit up. Mouse knew she wasn’t supposed to be exiting camp, and definitely not interacting with kittypets, but she needed a way to get out of this conversation. She really firing have to visit Cinnamon anyways, it’s not like she knew where the current camp was.
“Alright!” Cinnamon exclaimed, “I’ll see you then!”
Mouse said goodbye, and trotted back home. Her paws were exhausted, and she couldn’t wait to go to bed. Hopefully she wouldn’t be caught.

“Yeah,” Dusk mumbled, “He saved Fang. If Sunflower hadn’t done something it probably would have bit Fang on the eye.” He stumbled and dropped one of the lizards, but quickly picked it up.

Sunflower chuckled.
“Yes, it was about your size, maybe a bit bigger,” Sunflower told his to-be. Storm seemed concerned, but interested. “Fang you’ll have to tell the other shadow guards to keep an eye out for monitor lizards. There may be more.”

After what seemed like hours of walking, Mouse approached camp. She was exhausted, and was ready to sleep. She headed to the medicine den where she saw Storm, Fang, and Sunflower. Mouse dropped the several bundles of catmint she was carrying.
“I got some catmint,” she told the cats in the den.

Fang nodded, getting up when he saw Mouse"..where'd you get catnip?"he asked, confused
