Deciduousclan - Planning Done

I would be, I always enjoy your rps, I think a beach or waterfall based clan would be alot of fun

Territory::


Forest-

The main of Deciduousclan's territory is in fact a deciduous forest. It spans over miles and miles of more mountainous and hilly terrain with a couple valleys here and there though only one falls within the territory and is home to a two-leg place. The trees mainly consist of oaks, beeches, birches, chestnuts, aspens, elms, maples, and basswoods with some ash trees and pines mixed throughout to give a wide variety of growth. The bright greens of summer are equally as beautiful as the golden and red hues of autumn that befall this land. The undergrowth is thick and as diverse as the trees themselves with different variants of shrubs, bushes, berries, ferns, flowers, herbs, and vines. Moss grows thickly throughout the forest so there's never any shortage of bedding and the thick greenery leads to a large diversity of both prey and predators as well.


The Beach-

The beaches borders the forests to the south and has a west end and an east end. With white sands to the west and a more rocky banking for the east the beach shows some diversity as well. A coral reef sits off the embankment and sometimes apprentices will dare each other to try and swim out to it, which is a pretty decent swim really. Once at the reef a full sized apprentice can stand on it and have their head sticking out of the water still.

    West End:
The west end of the beach is more forgiving than the east. With soft, warm white sand underpaw it's a nice place to look for shells and to go to if you want to take a swim in the ocean by chance. A cliff face juts out of the beach that has a shaded area beneath that's really nice on the extremely hot summer days. At night there are also bioluminescent algae that lights up underneath from the waves hitting against this area during high tide (which also partially submerges the area).

    East End:
The east end of the beach is less forgiving with a hard, rocky embankment of stones that may hurt underpaw for the more tender footed feline. It's a beautiful area though that is closer to the reef than the west end and also has a steeper decline up to the forest. This area is where you'll sometimes see turtles come on land to lay eggs in a certain area that's the only bit of white sand instead of rocks on this side.


The Forest of Waterfalls- 
The Forest of Waterfalls is a breathtaking place that is seen as the go-to area for relaxation, play, or romantic getaways. Settled deep in the north of the forest at the edge of the territory, it's a mile sized area of multiple breathtaking waterfalls. Some pool into still water that's nice to play in and some of the pools are even shallow enough for kits to play in while others are deeper and are good for simply floating in or taking a dip. Several different fish species can be found among the pools during spring and summer. In the winter the water freezes over and some find it fun to skate around on the ice. During late spring there's a surplus of wildflowers that suddenly bloom all over the place and turn this area into a gorgeous array of color and light. The water here is also a deep, rich blue instead of simply opaque thanks to the blue stones that sit at the bottom of the pools.



Landmarks::

The Lavender Field-
One of the most beautiful and calming places in the territory is the Lavender Field. The trees are more sparse in this are that sits between the camp and the beach and the undergrowth becomes near non-existent. The one plant that does grow here? Lavender. And lots of it. During the blooming season this entire area of the forest becomes a blanket of purple and it's not uncommon for cats to go here and simply lay among the blooms to relax or calm down after a long day.


Two-Leg Place-
The two-leg place is settled in the only valley that's close enough to be counted as part of the territory though the border for the clan actually rests several fox-lengths from the edge of the dens. Placed to the east side of the clan's land, it's a medium sized place with some dens spreading out further down the valley as well though the main cluster of the two-leg place is right on the border with the clan. Kittypets, loners, and dogs can be found here and many times two-legs will leave to go hiking in the territory so it's forbidden for apprentices to be on this side of the territory by themselves.


Herb Grove-
The largest clearing in the forest, this entire area is ripe with vegetation and herbs of all kinds. The main location where medicine cats get their herbs during the warm months, this place has definitely saved lives on multiple occasions. Settled just a small ways south of the Forest of Waterfalls and small stream from the waterfalls flows by the clearing and leads to river located herbs being able to be found here as well. There are a few plants that can't be found in the area but for the most part this is just a ripe garden of all different types of herbs and wildflowers.

We have to figure out what to name the clan first though lol

Hm. They'd be a more open clan that's a little more linient with outsiders but still have a strong sense of loyalty.
Tons of diversity in both names and looks thanks to how diverse their territory is as well.
Um... they have a different stance on kits for medicine cats and such if that helps any (if a med cat has fully trained an apprentice then they're allowed to have kits)

I thought deciduous since most of their territory is deciduous forest

Makes sense, and works to tie in with the forest, and with them being open and having different stances compared to other clans, works with the "change" aspect that comes from deciduous with leaves being shed or animals loosing milk teeth as they age

Then the ancestors are Oasisclan and The Drowned Ones

what type of plot do you have in mind for it?

i got a few ideas, but not fully fleshed out ones

1. so this one pretty basic, but a harsh drought happening out of nowhere, and causes for cats to question what they did wrong for oasisclan to be punishing them this way

2. a prophecy plot to start of the rp of some kind

3. a harsh leafbare hitting the clan, with a strange variant of greencough that the medicine cat is struggling to treat

4.a newly appointed leader, but instead of oasisclan gifting them nine lives, it was cats of the drowned ones that did it, due to the clan's loyalty, no one believes the medicine cat when they share the new leader was not present in the ceremony in oasisclan

I think you are right greencough one would be a good one to start the clan off with. And we could have in the background the build up to do the evil leader plot as the next one, such as in the background maybe have the deputy being evil, and even could be the one secretly sabotaging the herb supply or something. And we end the greencoufh plot with the leader for it dying either from catching the disease or may e even by the deputy doing something?
