I don't think people seem to get that Squirrelflight's lineage is the only one that 'matters' to them. Remembering that Leafpool had halfclan medicine cat kits is too disgraceful to them, so they discount Lionblaze and his kits' heritage entierly. Basically they are illegitimate.
Only squirrel->spark->finch/night matter, and night probably moreso due to being a tom.

I made a thread about this exact observation as a theory a little while back and your post just reminded that it might be a good idea to bump it up before it expires since the newest release of Sky might make people want to discuss it again. Who knows.
