Welcome "TremorClan?" the white tomcat scoffs. "You mean those thrill-seekers living on the sides of the cliffs?"
You nod. TremorClan was the group of cats you often heard in stories, whispered with equal parts reverence and disdain. The cats of twolegplace can never agree on anything, especially regarding the wild cats living just outside the city. Some claimed the Clan cats were brave, risking the cliffs in return for a life free of any limits, while others say they were airheaded fools looking for death. Today is the day you finally decide you should see for yourself what these TremorClan cats were like. You ask the tomcat for directions, which he grudgingly gives you after several warnings dissuading you from the journey. But you are determined.
He shakes his head. "It isn't far. Just follow the creek down main street. It ends right at the cliffside. Don't worry, you'll find some TremorClan cats there, they apparently think it's all in good fun to throw themselves off the waterfall." His tone makes it clear he thinks this was entirely foolish behavior.
You follow his directions and follow the stream out of town. As you walk, a dull thrum starts to grow louder. The waterfall, you think, moving faster, eager to catch a glimpse of TremorClan cats. Sure enough, you push through a clump of fern to a clearing where a few cats lay basking in the sun. "Hey," one of them calls when they notice you, "What are you doing on TremorClan territory?" You open your mouth to reply, but all five cats stand, moving to surround you. They look strong, rugged and not at all like the cats back in town.
The one that saw you first walks around the group, assessing. You square your shoulders, refusing to be intimidated, and the she-cat nods approvingly. "Brave, but are you as brave as a TremorClan warrior?" She stops in front of you, looking into your eyes. You can see into her's too: there's a spark there, a core of wild energy just waiting to be loosed. "Can you swim?" she asks.
"Yes," you reply.
She nods. "How's about you jump the falls with us, then? It's the fastest way to camp. Unless you're too afraid, that is." The words were a test, a challenge. You find yourself faltering, forgetting for a moment your earlier determination. But then you remember the she-cat's eyes, the fear, the excitement, and suddenly find you want to feel that too, at least once. You nod, a final agreement.
The she-cat jumps in the air with a yowl, turning to race towards the edge. The others follow, jostling you in the center and forcing you forward. You don't have a moment to think, to regret, to hesitate at the edge before you are thrown off into the sky, the whoops and cries of the others echoing in your ears as you fly.
At that moment you understand: TremorClan is home of the brave. About TremorClan is a Clan that lives outside of a small town. Their camp is at the base of a small cliff. TremorClan values bravery, almost to the point of stupidity-- risking one's self for the pure joy of thrill seeking is commonplace. They solve problems by confronting them head-on. These cats come from a wide range of places, spanning a great variety of pelts, eye colors, and origins. TremorClan never hesitates to offer a spot in their ranks to any brave outsider they find. The majority of their territory is comprised of steep inclines and vertical cliff faces pocketed with clefts and plateaus. These rare flat areas -- and the base of the ravines -- are covered with scrubby trees and varying levels of undergrowth and are where TremorClan cats can hunt and gather herbs. However, since their territory is largely inhospitable and hard to traverse without knowing TremorClan's secret cliff paths, the borders are not regulated as strictly as other Clans' might be. Any outsider that dares to travel on their dangerous territory is honored as brave and, perhaps, offered a chance to stay.
Meta: TremorClan is a claim-a-cat rp, which means that you pick from characters that already have ages, roles, and families defined. This is mostly so that inactive players can be easily replaced without hindering plot lines. Because there will be huge plot lines down the road! This rp is also unique in the fact that there will be a NARRATOR (me) which should help keep things moving and engaging. Roleplay Info This will be the most updated section. Check here often for updates on what's happening in the roleplay including major and minor plots and weather.
Currently: early leaf-fall (september) Weather: slightly overcast, smells of rain, 74F
Main Plot: With leaf-fall comes the threat of leaf-bare. Extra patrols are sent to harvest herbs and several cliff side paths need to have barriers constructed or repaired to keep them passable and safe once the snows set in.
Side Plots: -- Frozenleap is close to kitting! The Clan is excited to share in this moment of joy and bounty. -- A disagreement between Webspots and Cardinalfang almost came to blows a few days ago. (tbd) -- Two young eagles fledged from Eagle's Point, and have been aggressively circling patrols. Directory -- 1 -- Introduction, about, links -- 2 -- FAQ, rules, members, territory, camp -- 3 -- Joining, Characters -- 4 -- Characters cont. -- 5-- Characters cont. -- 6 -- Relationships, predators/prey, herbs, history, roleplay history Links Important links, like to bordering Clans, gathering pages, or short stories/art will be put here.

FAQ -- Can I join? Yes! So long as there are open cats, just fill out the form and you're in. The form is there to allow you to give your cats some personality and any more details. -- How many cats can I claim? Three. Later on, there may be opportunities for more. -- All cats are claimed. Can I still join? If all cats are claimed, the roleplay is closed to joining. However, if you can be put on the waitlist. Characters that have been abandoned (not roleplayed in over a month) are put back up for claiming. When this occurs, people on the waitlist are pinged and have first call for those openings. -- I want to change cat X name/pelt ect. Minor details can be changed, but major pelt type/color, breed, and family trees cannot be changed. Adopted cats (ones that were abandoned and reclaimed by someone new) cannot be changed. -- I want to join with my OC! Sorry, but this is a claim-a-cat roleplay. There may be limited slots to create new characters, but those will be given to active members of the roleplay only. If we get a long waitlist even with the character limit, I'll make new Clan to fill demand. -- How does narration work? In this rp, I (brownie) will be playing a third person narrartor. Mostly, this just means I'll push forward time skips by setting daily description scenes or changes in weather. Sometimes, if rp'ers call a random event or there's a patrol, I will play external factors like rockslides, eagle attacks, or rogues if an interaction is necessary. -- Me and my partner(s)/patrol want to call an event! Random events are the bread and butter of roleplay, of course you can have one! Simply ping me and say you want me to roll an event and I'll roll a random one from my table for you~ Please discuss the timing of these with your patrol and/or the desired outcome (for fights, who takes injuries and who hits the final blow). -- WOAH time changed and I'm not ready. To keep the pace of the rp moving forward, one week real time = 1 day in game. The only exception will be for large plot events, which may take up to a month (rockslide in camp, large battles ect). Whatever you want to get done in that day of rp, please try and find time to finish the scene within that week. Rules -- 1 -- Forum Rules apply here. Nothing crazy, just be a nice person who recognizes that every message is going to another person. Treat others how you would like to be treated and all that. No excessive cussing, explicit illegality, gore or romance. Applies both in roleplay and OOC. -- 2 -- OOC please mark OOC chat somehow. Post headers are fine, or use [ ]. This is to avoid confusion. Feel free to chat as much as you wish, but unless you mark as on hiatus beforehand, chat does not count as being active. -- 3 -- Character limit You may only claim THREE cats. There will be opportunities later to have more for active members. -- 4 -- Activity Let's face it, this place is pretty slow. But that doesn't mean you can poof for a year and your characters will still be yours. A character is considered abandoned when it has not been roleplayed in over a month. Abandoned characters can then be adopted by anyone on the waitlist. Chat does not count as activity, and roleplaying with one character does not secure activity for the other if they had not been roleplayed in the month period (if they are stuck with another inactive member, that is a separate issue and will be resolved as such). Please find a way to warn me if know you will have an extended period of inactivity. We would like you to reply at least 2-3 times a week. -- 5 -- Literacy There are no post minimums or requirements, but you must give your partner enough content to reply to. One-liners, and even two-three simple sentences, are not tolerated. If you are struggling, make sure to include two actions, one thought, and one response and see where that gets you. If you are uncomfortable with the pace your partner(s) are setting (either posting one-liners or too long of replies), please please dm me and we will find a way to resolve the scene. -- 6 -- Godmodding You cannot control another member's actions or replies without consent. You cannot kill or severely injure without consent. Godmodding also includes your characters knowing something without them having access to the information in roleplay. If I see you doing this, you will be warned. After two warnings for godmodding, the next offense will result in you being kicked from the roleplay. Godmodders make for overpowered characters, and that's no fun. I'm also going to stick character creation in here as well: this claim a cat has a lot of autonomy in characters' personalities and details. Please do not make your character without some flaw. Conversely, don't make a character that is only flawed. Neither of these are fun to roleplay with. Give them some strengths, give them some weaknesses, give them a voice. Members Territory TremorClan resides along the rocky hills and cliffs. The only way around is following the bottoms of the ravines, or on special paths carefully marked by TremorClan cats over generations. These paths have been carefully maintained and provide a safe way around the territory if you know where you're going. One of the apprentices' main tasks is to learn these paths.TremorClan's camp is at the southwestern edge of their territory. While the cats claim some of the highlands surrounding the top of the waterfall, this is mostly just to provide a buffer for their camp than used as hunting grounds. Other than the stream and the path beside it, the undergrowth is very thick on the top of the cliffs and is unfavorable for patrolling or hunting. The stream, of course, eventually leads to a small town. The first landmark outside of camp would be Eagle's Point. Most of TremorClan's territory is a series of gorges and cliffs reaching downward, but this outcropping reaches a peak that is easily noticeable from anywhere else in the territory. It is bare of any greenery, standing as bare, proud stone. A cat could reach the top, but it is a dangerous journey --even by TremorClan's standards-- and the pathway up is almost a vertical climb. It is said that cats who spend a night at the top receive messages from StarClan --if you aren't eaten by the eagles that nest there, that is.
Red River is less a river and more a stream, but is still much larger than the one that runs through camp. It originates from a ground spring and runs through a few connected ravines, often branching and draining back into the ground. There are a few fish in the slower eddies, and many frogs can be found here if one can stomach them. An iron deposit down one of the channels tints the water red and though the rest of the river is pure as a cold spring, the name of the red-hued branch made the name stick.
The northward side of the ravines near Red River are often prone to landslides and rockfalls and must be traversed carefully. This area is nicknamed Rockfall. Most patrols would rather path around it than through it, even if --when Red River is flooded-- that means going long distances through other connected ravines. It is forbidden to be on the northward bank of Red River when it is raining or just after a rain. TremorClan cats may value bravery, but no cat can contest the pure might of a landslide.
The plateaus are outside of TremorClan's borders to the northeast. Highlands that are mostly free of elevation changes, most of the plateau is covered in scrubgrass and small, stunted trees. The prey here is plentiful, but so are predators. Foxes, badgers, eagles and bobcats are the primaries foes that wouldn't hesitate to attack a patrol, but there are also sightings of mountain lions, coyotes and rumors of wolves that could roam the land. Venomous snakes, while sometimes present in the rocky gorges, love the grasses of the plateau and one must take careful steps if they don't want to fall into a viper nest. Usually, the danger far outweighs the long travel and dangerous creatures that lurk there.
The journey to the plateau through the ravines is a long one; sometimes patrols might decide to stay overnight in the small traveler's camp tucked away in the last ravine before the plateau proper. This camp is located in the narrowest point of a ravine, tucked tightly between the stone walls and covered in bushes. There is only room for five cats comfortably. There is protection from the rain, but the ravine is quite shallow and that cats sheltering inside must watch closely for any predators that might scent them, particularly if they caught a large amount of prey out on the plateau.
To the Northeast is the swamps. Not a preferable place to be and outside of TremorClan's borders, the swamplands are marshy, wet, and full of bugs at the lowest elevations. Sucking, stinky mud traps paws and the inclines are mud and clay as opposed to the stable stone that TremorClan claims. The fishing is great here, as well as being packed with all sorts of waterbirds in the marshy, plant-dominated ephemeral ponds. If one doesn't mind the mud, the bugs, and the long trek back home, it can be a very promising hunting spot. But much like with the plateaus, venturing outside of TremorClan's borders always has risks: it doesn't have protective patrols to guard it of predators or even other cats.
Camp TremorClan camp lies in a grotto at the bottom of one of the ravines. The camp is quite open, protected by the cliff walls on all sides. A pond lies at one end of the ravine, feeding a stream that runs through camp. In the spring, this is prone to flooding, so while TremorClan cats love to sleep under the stars while the weather holds, many of the actual dens are found several feet higher on the cliffsides in various overhangs, nooks and caves. The Cavern is the only actual cave in the side of the cliffs. Boulders at the front allow for an easy climb up to the narrow gap that leads to the cavern. The inside is wide, but dark and not tall at all. Larger cats would have to duck to stand inside. The cavern itself is used for storing herbs, housing the sickest of cats, or as a quiet place for queens and elders to rest. It can also be used to shelter the Clan during floods. For the most part, injured cats are treated outside of the cavern, in beds of grass tucked safely between the boulders.
When the weather is poor, most of the Clan shelters in the Outlook. A shallow scoop taken out of the side of the cliff, the Outlook provides decent protection from rain, snow, and flooding. It isn't very deep, but the crevasse runs long enough to house the majority of the Clan with a good deal of privacy. The boulders from the cavern allow for an easy pathway up, although a fit cat could climb up most places of the crevasse. A wider portion in the center holds the fresh kill pile, and is a perfect place for sunning during the middle of the day. This is the heart of TremorClan camp where many cats go to socialize.
A stream runs through the center of the ravine that TremorClan calls camp. Usually just called the stream, it can be called Willow Stream to differentiate from other parts of the watershed. The name is from the large willow tree that sits at the head of the stream where the waterfall crashes into the pond. Usually, the water runs at a slight trickle, only reaching a cat's stomach at the deepest. It has a stony bottom and shores, and is a very safe place for kits and apprentices to splash and play. Sometimes, small fish can be caught here. One must be wary of the stream in newleaf, where floods can make it swell all the way to the sides of the ravine. The Rock is a large, flat boulder that overlooks the stream at the far end of camp. It is the perfect place for a bit of privacy, and another good location to sun. The training clearing sits just beyond where many mentors can spar with their apprentices as the kits and elders look on. Beyond that is the herb garden, a sunny, flat, grassy patch of land by the water that has been cultivated over the generations to hold many common herbs the medicine cats use. Rocks have been meticulously piled alongside the riverbank to limit the amount of flooding and now many herbs grow bountifully here.
The ravine can only be accessed by small trails made by TremorClan cats. The passages are hidden, too narrow for any predators, and too dangerous for any cat without TremorClan's unique mix of bravery and confidence. The easiest --and, for most TremorClan cats, the most fun-- way into the grotto is jumping from the waterfall into the pond. It is relatively safe, safe enough that apprentices are allowed with supervision. The trail to the top of the cliff is well worn here from many paws racing upwards for another dive, and the clearing at the top is a well-known resting spot for warriors with some free time. It is also where non-Clan cats can meet with TremorClan patrols.

Joining Forms IMPORTANT: Check "Relationships" tab below before claiming! Most cats have siblings, parents, mates, and might have an apprentice! Be aware of these things before choosing your cats to claim.
Character's name -- age -- sexuality -- rank Extended description (physical and personality) @ tag Characters *Any cat without a description is open to be claimed*On the Runner role: TremorClan cats must be brave to scale the cliffs they call home. But some cats cannot do this, either due to age, injury, or plain cowardice. These cats are made to be Runners, cats that help around camp and the bottom of the ravine, rarely leaving the close premises. They are responsible for helping the elders and queens with whatever they need, strengthening the camp walls, aiding the medicine cat, and tending to the herb garden. They are also the main hunters for the clan, fishing in the stream and pond at the base of the ravines and hunting in its lush undergrowth. While equal to the warriors in every official way, those TremorClan cats who are voracious thrill-seekers look down on the Runners as cowards and soft-hearted. Runners can also be an intermediary stage between warriors and elders for those who do not yet wish to retire, but want to rest from their full warrior duties. This is considered very honorable and these cats get the first pick of the daily Runner tasks.
Kits: 0-6 moons Apprentices: 6-10 (junior) 15-17 (senior) Warriors/Runners: 15-25 (junior) 25-60 (full) 60-130 (senior) Elders: 120+ moons
- Deputies must have had an apprentice become a warrior before their appointment. - Medicine cats must train for at least 18 moons before taking their name. - Senior warriors that retire as runners are usually between 110-130 moons. Elders usually retire around 130 moons.
Genetic coat colors/patterns lingo. More because I like the genetics, but I use these instead of long descriptors for cats. Here's the index if you don't know what it means. Also, googling "x cat" will usually give good reference pics. Try "lilac cat".
Black - the color black Dilute - A lighter variant of the base coat. like grey is to black. Grey - diluted black; can be many shades Chocolate - "dark" brown; this is the deep brown of dark tabbies Cinnamon - "Light" brown; cinnamon cats are closer to red, chestnut is a good descriptor. Lilac - Dilute chocolate. A mid-tone brown. Fawn - Dilute Cinnamon. Tans, pale browns are fawn. Orange/Red - A dominant color. Technically all reds are false tabbies. Cream - Dilute red. White - Can be two kinds of white: white spotting or white masking. White masking is usually a completely white cat. White spotting is spots of white on the cat like paws, tail-tip, stomach ect. Tabby - The common name for ticked tabby. Spotted tabby - tabby markings broken into dashes or spots Mackerel tabby - A spotted tabby with thin, more fragmented markings. Classic/marbled tabby - A cat with thick, swirling tabby markings. Usually with signature "bulls eye" on the flank. Tortoiseshell - A cat that is half orange, half other. Since orange is sex-linked genetically, usually mollies are tortoiseshell, though in this rp, all cats can be tortoiseshell regardless of sex! Calico - A cat that is half orange, half black with moderate white spotting. Torbie - A tortoiseshell with tabby markings; usually appears grey or brown tabby with a blotchy undercoat of cream or ginger. Dilute calico/tortoiseshell - Technically, both colors in a tortoiseshll must be dilute. So grey and cream, or brown and cream. Calicos can also be dilute (grey and cream/pale ginger with white markings) Pointed - A different color or pattern on the muzzle, ears, tail and paws. Usually a siamese thing, but points here can be any genetic combination! Points can be solid "fawn points" tabby "black tabby points" or tortoiseshell "white she-cat with calico points". Seal points - The typical siamese point: near black on the ears, tail paws and muzzle that fades to lighter browns. This color is actually heat-related, and is a dark chocolate, usually with lilac undercoat! Silvering/smokes - Basically, having a different color undercoat than the main pattern. Go wild with this~ Leader Thornstar -- 92 moons - 4/9 lives - Calico she-cat -- open Deputy Ivybrook -- 110 moons - grey classic tabby tom -- open
Medicine Cat Pebblenose -- 68 moons - grey tom -- open

A young eagle rides the currents high above, turning lazy circles around Eagle's Point in the east, but TremorClan's camp lies safely in the deep gully, protected from even the eagle's sharp eyes. Long shadows hide the cliff walls in grey-edged gloom and even the stream burbling gently through the center of camp is muted from the overcast sky.
The stones are still chilly where they haven't been touched with dawn's light, and grasses drip with dew, thouroughly wetting any cat's pelt that tries to navigate through the tall fronds as if they jumped into the pond. The pond itself is visible in the distance, but only just: fog that had creeped into the base of the ravine during the chilly night is only beginning to lift, and the sides and tops of the cliff were still indistinct through the low-hanging clouds.
But the day is waxing warm, and every few minutes a few rays of light poke through the cloud cover, dappling the ground in patches of brighter-than-life green where it touches. Any cat with a nose can smell rain, even through the dew, but the clouds are still white and innocent: perhaps they can get a hunting patrol out before the clouds break.
It is an ordinary day in TremorClan, and chores need to be completed: - hunting party should be sent out - a few cats are needed to gather herbs from the Herb Garden before the first frosts, led by the Healer - and the cliffside trail leading to the Plateaus is sorely in need of repair before the snow weakens it further
These are the tasks TremorClan should seek to complete today before the rains come.

Lotuspaw - Camp
The young molly was a bit annoyed, having wanted to go on a patrol, though it seemed like she wasn't going to do so. She plopped down by the medicine cat's den, awaiting the patrol to go gather herbs.
Cliffwing - Camp
Cliffwing was one of the few cats headed to the Cliffside trail. His ears perked a bit, glancing around before hurrying ahead. He grunted, pulling plants from the trail, moving them off for later. He planned on taking them back to reinforce the dens

Time for a little more scene setting to start off the day~~ I'm thinking time skips should come on fridays, to give the weekend to organizing new day groups. means this day will be slightly short, but that should be fine for people joining (; ]] Wind comes in gusts down the ravine's bottom, carrying with it a faint chill, but also a plethora of scents from further into the gully. Wet is the dominant smell, the dew and fog and thick almost-rain making all other smells cloudy and softened at the edges. But a perceptive cat, or one that travels further into the territory, will start to uncover more. Goldenrod, tansy and marigold have opened their flowers now that fall has come, suffusing the air with the rich aroma of new blossoms. Faintly, prey-smells arise too: mouse, rabbit, and most strongly, songbird.

She has vivid green eyes and a collection of scars from a some of the fights she's been in over the moons. Cardinalfang is a righteous she-cat with a strong set of morals. [ thank you! c: i think that's such a unique idea, i can't wait to see how it works out! ^^ gotta love good, old-fashioned, over the top drama lol just some basic starters -- lemme know if i need to fix something! ] C A R D I N A L F A N G with /open || the plateaus || tags /open
»»————- ★ ————-«« Ivybrook had warned them that the cliffside trail was in bad shape, and that a patrol would be sent out later to do some repairs, but Cardinalfang wondered if the deputy had purposely left out just how bad it had gotten. Debris was everywhere, making the path increasingly hard to navigate. Even full grown warriors could get tangled up in the fallen branches and rubble. Leaf-fall was a menace.
Giving her tail an ill-tempered flick, the molly forced her way between two twigs, shouldering one off to the side. She debated turning back and doing some hunting in the ravines but they'd made it this far. There was a familiar opening up ahead, which would lead to level ground and, hopefully, fresh prey. "We're close now," she called back, her green eyes narrowed on the ground beneath her paws. J A G G E D P A W with /open || in camp, the cavern || tags /open
»»————- ★ ————-«« Jaggedpaw's boisterous laugh echoed in the cavern, the delight almost infectious. He flashed a charming grin at Ebonyfeather, while she nitpicked at Redstorm's story. His paws split the tom's ginger tabby fur with practiced ease, zeroing in on a lone tick. He dipped his head to bite carefully into the moss ball that had mouse-bile dripping from one side, his nose wrinkling at the pungent scent. Drowning the tick in bile, the apprentice set the moss back down to finish removing the bloodsucking insect. "Gotcha!" he muttered around the dying bug, dropping it to the smooth stone floor.

|| Tori || TremorClan camp || With [Open] ||
Tori was sitting in the Outlook, her two kits wrestling nearby. She watched anxiously as the two kits started to play more and more roughly with each other. “Jasper! Ren! Remember to be careful!” The fawn-colored molly called out, in hopes that her kits would be more gentle with each other.

[ oof. this feels really rough for some reason... i must be more out of practice than i thought, sorry! ]J A G G E D P A Wwith Tori; mentions Ren and Jasper || in camp, the outlook || @ 𝙵𝚎𝚛𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚙 »»————- ★ ————-«« Finishing up his chores with the elders, the apprentice padded out into the grotto, giving his coat a firm shake. A bit of dust and loose moss fell free, sending a tickle through the tom's nose. He let out a loud sneeze. "Gross," Jaggedpaw muttered while trotting to the outlook. He'd delivered prey to the elders but he hadn't yet visited Frozenleap or Tori.
At the sight of Ren and Jasper wrestling in the center of the small clearing brought a grin to his muzzle. Memories flooded him, tussling with Littlepaw and getting into mischief. He'd always been a rambunctious cat - snuck out of camp more than once. It was nice to see the kits enjoying themselves.
Though, moments later, the chocolate tabby hid a wince as he realized Tori was sitting a few tail-lengths away. "Sorry, I meant to bring you something to eat a bit sooner." Jaggedpaw gave the queen a much more sheepish smile, truly feeling a pang of remorse. He shouldn't have stayed to listen to Redstorm's story - even though it had been a good one.

Lotuspaw - In camp
The young molly frowned, bored as she looked over the camp. A sigh fell from her , unsure of what to do. She knew Duskclaw was out hunting, but was a bit upset she couldn't go with him.

[[ Tealraven of course~ Welcome aboard! I'm debating if I want to do another narration today or leave it as is. I don't want to push too fast, but I DO want to be strict about these time jumps. Just a reminder, the time skip to the next day is on FRIDAY MORNING. This first day might feel a bit short because of new joiners and that's okay! I'm going to quick narrate a wrap up for the day on that friday morning along with the new morning's introduction ]]

Embertail -- 17 moons -- lesbian -- junior warrior A tall, muscled white molly who looms over most other mollies and even a few toms. She has a ginger tail and pale blue eyes that can freeze a cat with a glance. With her fighter's build and permanently pissed-off resting expression, Embertail is generally menacing without trying to be. She is blunt, fearless, and loyal to a fault. She puts her loved ones above all else and becomes an awkward gentle giant around those lucky few she deems worthy of that loyalty. In her free time she can usually be found going through battle training exercises or accidentally scaring apprentices out of their wits. @ anotherwcfaccount
Heronfoot -- 74 moons -- bisexual -- senior warrior A slate grey shorthair tom with teal eyes that look more green or more blue depending on lighting. In his younger days, Heronfoot was renowned for his volatile temper, but age and experience has cooled that fire somewhat. He’s still got that stubborn streak, though. Hard-working, passionate, and unabashedly outspoken with his opinions - and he has many - his smart mouth has earned him as much trouble as it has praise over the years. Whether that outspokenness is admirable or insufferable is in the eye of the beholder. Heronfoot prides himself on his work ethic and insists “I’ll retire when I’m dead.” @ anotherwcfaccount

EMBERTAIL the plateaus / with cardinalfang
"Good," meowed Embertail, offering one of her usual monosyllabic answers. She didn't dare take her eyes off the crumbling trail beneath her paws. Her frosty gaze matched the chill in the damp leaf-fall air, and she found herself fluffing her white fur up against the breeze whisking across the path. At least the breeze might blow away the scraps of fog that still clung to the cliffs. She quickened her pace, eager to reach opening ahead and the morning sunlight and prey that lay beyond. Her paws sent pebbles skittering off the edge and into the ravine below with a clattering echo. "Perhaps we should have waited for a maintenance patrol to come by before picking this trail," she hissed through her teeth, just loud enough for Cardinalfang and the others in the hunting party to hear.
HERONFOOT cliffside trail / with cliffwing
Heronfoot dutifully scraped debris off the worn trail snaking along the rock-studded wall of the ravine. Leaves and dry branches had been blown into cracks in the cliff wall, and the narrowest part of the trail needed to be reinforced before the leaf-fall rains washed it away completely. He nudged the ball of clay he'd collected from the river's edge forward, intending to patch up and broaden the crumbling path, when a broken branch protruding from the cliff snagged in his dark grey fur. Letting out a stream of colorful curses, the warrior snapped the branch apart and swept it into the ravine with his tail. He returned to his task only to find the way forward impeded by-- yet more clumps of plants ripped up from the trail. The tom groaned.
"Cliffwing!" Heronfoot called. "What is this? You're making a mess! We're supposed to be clearing the trail, not cluttering it up even more." Why he was doing this and not an apprentice when trail maintenance was typically an apprentice's duty, he didn't know, but he hadn't questioned the deputy's directions. Within earshot.
