"No need to apologize," Sootmask looked at her softly before continuing, "I'm quite excited too I won't lie." The tom followed Mumblewhisker's direction and started smelling the air in case any prey was near the three. Sootmask continued walking as he didn't pick up anything. "Quite desolate right now despite this great weather." Sootmask mewed out loud for the other two warriors to hear.

Mumblewhisker smiled at him, a bit relieved at his words. "Alright," she said, her tail flicking a bit. "I'm sure more will come out soon, they are probably still just waking up." She headed off briefly as she followed the scent of the mouse, crouching as she got closer, as she watched the mouse move along the root of a tree. She paused before moving forward, landing on the mouse and giv8ng a quick bit to its neck, burying the creature by the root to collect later, and returned back to where the other two were.

The tom didn't know where to go as he felt anxious hunting alone as the thought of getting lost frightened him, so he decided to wait until Mumblewhisker came back. "Did you catch something already?" Sootmask asked the she-cat as he witnessed her walk away from the two earlier.
"Hmph. I'm not able to smell anything right now," Sootmask raised his nuzzle in the air, sniffing once more, "Perhaps my nose isn't working properly right now." The warrior looked down, embarrassed that the main body part he needed right now wasn't even working.

She frowned at his comments."I'm sure it is just because it is really early still," she said offering a smile. She gently nudged him trying to cheer him up. "You'll catch a scent soon, I know you will!"

The tom watched Dovefeather gracefully catch the crow that was briefly pecking at the ground for worms earlier. "Nice catch Dovefeather." He couldn't help but compliment the two warriors as they managed to impress him with their hunting skills.
The dark tom blushed feeling Mumblewhisker's fur brush against his. "I hope so," he sighed quietly, "Maybe I have unknown allergies or who knows what." Sootmask followed the she-cat who was trying to cheer him up.
"I'll try checking around the bushes here, there's bound to be prey." Sootmask followed his words and carefully padded towards the nearest bush and starting sniffing the air, hoping to pick up a scent.

"Maybe you should see Sunnysky or Howlpaw when we get back," she said, tilting her head a bit. "Just to make sure it is alergies." She hated the thought of any of her clanmates getting sick. She watched him walk off, pausing to keep quiet so that way in case something was there it didn't get scared off before the tom could catch it. She gave a nod and a smile to the other she cat, she would congratulate her verbally when Sootmask was done.

Pumpkinheart paused for a moment, what exactly did she want? She thought for a little while, she had forgotten her worries while joking with Stagpelt. "Oh! I was kind of worried," she meowed, "You've been acting strange lately, like coming into camp in the middle of the night."

Lucky returned the friendly nod to Stagpelt. His eyes widened in surprise when Pumpkinheart confessed that she was worried. "Oh," he chuckled, "Don't worry. My twolegs recently got a twoleg kit. I've been a bit frazzled since it arrived. And last night it was crying." He wished that him and Pumpkinheart lived in the same place so they could share how they felt more often, but he was a kittypet and she was a Clan cat, and they both enjoyed those lives.
