Ivy with Lynxtail and Sootmask She gazed at Lynxtail and all was quiet for a moment. He wasn't able to visit all that often, and she was happy to see him despite the circumstances. She knew her den wasn't the greatest place for a storm, but could she really risk Lynxtail's position within the Clan? Was it worth it? Her life? She shook these thoughts from her head, and continued gazing at her mate. It comforted her. "I-I'm not sure." She stammered, looking to Lynxtail. He had a stern expression, and his chest puffed outward as he breathed deeply. "You should come back with us." He decided, giving her a small nod and looking over at Sootmask. He was right, she would be helpless here without them. |

Sootmask's ears flattened as soon as Lynxtail decided to take Ivy back to camp. How would Streamstar react to this? The tom felt his heart pumping against his chest. Would he be in trouble simply because he knew Lynxtail's secret and didn't say anything about it? He nudged Lynxtail's shoulder with his nose and looked at an empty space in the den, signaling him to follow him. "Can we talk before we head out?"
He let out a small smile, not wanting to show something was wrong. Sootmask waited for the cat to follow him, figuring out what to say to him in a kind manner. |

Dipperstream | Warrior | 48 Moons | A fluffy brown, ginger and white tom with green eyes | A rather jovial tom, he is quite soft-hearted and brave, though he is quite the goofball, and it can take quite a bit to get him to take something seriously. He is rather careless and impulsive which can be dangerous at times.| Born a kitty-pet, he came across the clan on one of his daily walks managing to befriend of one of the older apprentices before wandering away again, unbeknownst to him, his Housefolk had just finished the process of moving, and had left him behind. When he got back, they had gone and he waited for at least a moon before giving up and going back into the forest, managing to convince a patrol to let him join with the help of the apprentice he befriended, who happened to be there. He was quite unsure regarding his decision, knowing it wouldn't only affect him. He wondered how Streamstar would react, and he hoped it wouldn't result in his exile. However, he would do anything for Ivy. The she-cat gave him a nod of approval as Lynxtail followed Sootmask. "Of course." He said. Lynxtail had a hard time reading the tom, though he had hoped he wasn't too disappointed in his decision. "What is it?" He asked, as they had now put some distance between themselves and Ivy. The she-cat sat grooming herself, still a bit shaken up from being out in the storm. |

Sootmask was relieved to know that Lynxtail knew what he was suggesting. Sootmask shot a small glance at Ivy before focusing back on the problem at hand right now. He sat down and swiped a paw behind his ear before starting. How should I say this in a polite way? He let out a small whisper,"Look, I'm not against bringing Ivy back to our clan only because of what's happening right now, but how will the others react? How will Streamstar react? "
The tom knew that Lynxtail was going to face deep consequences and perhaps stress his clanmates more, considering the events going on."Do you at least know what you're going to say?" Sootmask stared at the tom, eyes filled with doubt. Despite him not personally dealing with this event, fear has struck every vessel in his body, not wanting to see Lynxtail take the heat from every cat around for his own personal decision. The tom sighed deeply, having already predicted Sootmask's words before they came out. "I'm not even sure it's the best idea. I don't know how everyone would react, but I'd be willing to risk it. For her." He said softly, meeting Sootmask's gaze.
He let out another heavy sigh before turning back to face him. "Maybe I shouldn't. I have no idea what I'd say..." He began, a bit panicked. |

As the tom expressed his doubts, Sootmask couldn't help but feel a bit worried himself. He had promised to keep Lynxtail's secret, but he wasn't sure how their clan leader, Streamstar, would react if he found out that Sootmask knew.
"Lynxtail..at this point we have nothing to lose now, especially since none of the clan even know our whereabout, so it's worth a shot. P-perhaps Streamstar will react differently from what we think," Sootmask stuttered, trying to hide his anxiety. "But we also have to be careful. We don't want to put Ivy or ourselves in any more danger."
Sootmask took a deep breath before continuing, "I'll support you in any way I can, but we also need to consider the consequences of our actions. If we do decide to take this risk, we need to be prepared for the worst."

Lynxtail The tom sighed deeply, unsure of what to say or do next. He had doubts himself, but he also had hope. He certainly didn't want to get Sootmask into any trouble, and didn't want to ruin their friendship either. He also didn't want to risk his relationship with Ivy, if Streamstar found out, who knows how they would react. "You're right. Perhaps." Lynxtail said softly, keeping Ivy within his sight. "I don't think we have much of a choice. I think we should bring her with us, regardless of how Streamstar may react." The tom said, trying to be confident despite his worries. |

i am going to unbookmark this thread for the time being, but if/when Tempo returns and the clan picks up again feel free to tag me and i'll come back if y'all still want me.
