Riverstone camp, the medicine den The she-cat decided to return to the nursery as the storm slightly calmed, carrying her kit in her jaws gently. Stormtail trailed behind her, and Greypaw followed him closely. The three walked in on a rather curious sight, upon which they found Cinnamonpaw preparing to have her kits. "Are you alright?" Greypaw asked, sniffing the she-cat. |

Stormtail camp, the medicine den "Oh, no. I'm sorry. The storm is just making her rather anxious." The tom looked a bit startled as he spoke, nodding towards Riverstone. "I meant to go into the nursery...I suppose my nerves are all mixed up." The tom said. |

Howlpaw-Medicine Cat Den-Stormtail
Flicking his tail in annoyance as he headed over. "Take her to the nursery and I'll bring some herbs to her to calm her nerves, now leave it's to crowded in here with all these cats." He had heard Mountainleap get kicked out, and it wasn't fair for cats that had no conenction to Cinnamonpaw to be in here while the father wasn't. "Do you need a paw before I do that though, Sunnysky? Sorry I was busy checking on Beetlepaw."

Cinnamonpaw-Medicine Cat Den-With Sunnysky and Howlpaw
The molly was watching all of the activity with a mild annoyance as her pains continued until there was almost no pause between each one, the molly clenching her teeth tightly at the feeling and realizing what the stick was meant for, quickly picking it up. "Sunnysky," she mewled out from between the stick, unsure of what to do and a little scared.

Sunnysky in Medicine Den with Cinnamonpaw and Howlpaw "Sorry," Sunnysky meowed sheepishly. She thought if Howlpaw could help her out in any way. "No, I don't need anything, Howlpaw. But I'd like for you to come straight back once you deliver the herbs. This is an important learning experience." She jumped as more thunder rolled in the distance. Her fur spiked up. |

Firetooth flicks his tail back and forth unsure of what to do now. Would they wait for Cinnamonpaw or would just head out now? He looks towards the deputy to see if he was going to do something.

Ivy the forest The she-cat didn't mind the storm much, as she lived outside the clan and had often been exposed to dangerous weather. She trotted through the muddy forest, her pelt becoming littered with dirt. She had decided to hunt before the storm got any worse, as she needed as much prey as she could get. The she-cat had gone starved for a while, as she hadn't felt the motivation to hunt. However, the rain gave her the energy she needed. |

(Alright!) Sunnysky in Medicine Den with Cinnamonpaw Sunnysky let out a huff as she sat back and looked at the three kits. They were finally here. But, something didn't seem quite right about one of them. She crouched down next to it and tapped it with a paw. It didn't respond. Her eyes flashed with horror. It was still born. She sat back up and heaved a sigh. "Cinnamonpaw," she meowed gently, "I hate to inform you, but one is still born... I'll get Mountainleap if you want me to." She hated giving such news to a mother, especially an apprentice mother. |

Mosspelt hunting The tom crept through the damp undergrowth, his pelt drizzled with rain. He heard a branch snap, and pounced rather quickly only to realize his prey was much bigger than he thought. In fact, it wasn't prey at all. "Hey! Watch it." Ivy snarled as Mosspelt stood over her. "Sorry, I thought you were a rabbit." He chuckled, letting his sister get up. Ivy gave him a soft smile. "Hunting?" She asked. Mosspelt nodded. "Want to join me?" She proceeded. "I'd love to." Mosspelt said with a smile. |

The molly was exhausted once it was finally over with but the words hit her like a train and send reeling backwards, twisting around to view the three kits with a frantic look in her eyes. Two of them were squirming and breathing but surely enough the third was completely still. She let out a low, mournful sound and pulled the kit in close to her, licking it's fur. "Please, get Mountainleap," she whispered after a few moments.

Sunnysky in Medicine Den with Cinnamonpaw Sunnysky dipped her head. She backed out of the den to get Mountainleap. Once she spotted him, she beckoned to him with her tail. Once he came up to her she nodded towards the den saying, "Cinnamonpaw would like to see you." Mountainleap in Medicine Den with Cinnamonpaw and Sunnysky Mountainleap searched Sunnysky's gaze. Was there grief? Had something happened? He rushed over to the medicine den to see Cinnamonpaw with two squirming kits and one closer towards her. It wasn't moving. Perhaps it was just asleep, he tried to convince himself as his panic rose. "They're beautiful," he meowed trying to cover up a slight shake to his voice. |

Howlpaw-Medicine Cat Den-Sunnysky, Mountainleap, Cinnamonpaw
Howlpaw returned to the den, after bring the herbs to the nursery, and had paused breifly to check on the two queens and their kits that were with the warriors by the entrance, to ensure the storm wasn't bothering them as it had with the other queen. Looking to the apprentice with her kits, his tail flicked noticing the grim expressions everyone had on their faces. Sending a glance over to Sunnysky.

The molly gave a low sound in her throat at first, unable to speak for a moment before she raised her head to look at Mountainleap. "They're gone Mountainleap. They didn't make it." She looked back down at the small reverse siamese tom, their eyes closed and their body never having been disturbed by a single breath. She licked their fur once, twice, and then her tears fell, unable to be kept back anymore. "I thought I had done so well. There were no issues."

"She did well..." she began, "But one of the kits was still born. Poor thing." Her gaze was filled with grief and sadness. "But, as a medicine cat, this is something that can happen at any moment with no warning... whether you treated them correctly or not." Mountainleap in Medicine Den with Cinnamonpaw Mountainleap went over behind Cinnamonpaw and curled himself around her with his ears back. He used his plumed tail to softly stroke Cinnamonpaw's back to comfort her. "Listen... you did amazing, Cinnamonpaw, you couldn't control whether they were still born or not," he soothed, "We can still name them, if you'd like. That way they'll have a name in HavenClan. Please don't blame yourself..." He hoped that his words would help comfort her and reassure her that it hadn't been her fault and no cat could control it. |

The molly gave a small sob when the other touched her before relaxing against him and letting his touch soothe her. "I do want to name them still. One of my favorite noises is to hear the rustling of the wind through the trees, and sadly my little one will never get to hear it." |
