"Ok, follow me," Aoi said. She walked out to the sidewalk, motioning for Corynn to follow her. She stopped for a moment to look at the street signs, and then turned to the left. "The library is this way," she said, and began to walk down the street.

Corynn nods before following and tries to memorize each turn and how many blocks that she walks just so that she can find her way on her own next time.

Aoi turned down one more street and they finally came up to the library. It was a simple building, with nothing impressive to garner people's attention as they passed by. "Here we are," she said. She glanced to Corynn before walking inside. "What did you need here?"

"Um..." Corynn mumbles, she has never told anyone about her work on tracking down her real parents. After a moment though she decides to tell Aoi. "I'm trying to figure out who my birth parents are." She says softly not wanting to many people to hear.

Aoi nodded, her face turning a bit more serious. "They might have genealogy books here, but I'm not sure... we might end up having to use the computers," she said. She wandered through the aisles of books, looking at each of the genre labels until she found the section with encyclopedias and related literature. "Maybe here?" she whispered.

Corynn nods, and tries to recall everything that she knew so far from her research. Sadly wasn't much. Just how she learned they came from this town. She mainly follows Aoi until she spots the section with all the old news papers.

"Um... They had an older child that died in a house fire I think... I remember the spit in their voices... They named me after him... But I was a girl... After I was adopted though my name was changed." Corynn says softly and closes her eyes letting the memories of her name being said play in her mind.

Aoi frowned. "You don't have even a last name? Without one we won't get too far," she said, pulling out an old newspaper. She scanned the headlines and then slipped it back on the shelf after not finding anything useful in it. "If worst comes to worst, my dad works for the city. I think they have a family registry or something."

"Well... My name before I was adopted was Ichira.. The one I was named after I think was Ichiro... But yeah I don't recall ever hearing a last name... But how often does a house fire start in a bathroom?" Corynn says with a slight tone of laughter in her voice when she mentions where the fire started.

Aoi lifted her eyebrows. "A house fire in a bathroom?? Yeah... I guess that doesn't happen too often," she said, smirking ever so slightly. "An event like that is going to be a lot more helpful than searching for a name." She began searching through the newspapers with a bit more enthusiasm now.

"Probably... Hopefully it was in the news... It happened I think at least 5 years before I was born" Corynn says trying to think of when it might have actually happened. "Oh! It was also during the winter." Corynn adds thoughtfully remembering the conversation that she got smacked of eavesdropping on.

Aoi folded another newspaper up and placed it back on the shelf. "So it was twenty two years ago then?" she asked, just making sure. Her eyes scanned the labels organizing the papers by year and took a couple steps further down.

Aoi pulled out a newspaper and looked through the headlines. She flipped the page and her eyes widened. There it was, the headline they were looking for, in tiny letters at the bottom. "Hey Corynn - " she started, but stopped short when she felt a familiar presence that made her go cold. She looked out the window and there it was. A hollow was slithering around just outside the library. "Here, Corynn, take it. The article's at the bottom. I'll, uh, I'll be right back," she said quickly. She shoved the paper in front of Corynn before dashing outside.

"Yeah?" Corynn starts before blinking with how fast Aoi just when. "What just happened?" She asks herself and goes checking out the newspaper before going out side to see what Aoi was up to.

Mitsuo nodded, though the worry was starting to show on his face again as Ayashi described the damage. He started out standing at the foot of the couch, watching intently as Ayashi did his work. The adrenaline was still pumping through Mitsuo's veins from the battle and he started to pace a little behind the couch, growing a bit restless and perhaps a bit frustrated that there wasn't anything he could do to help at this point. Then a few minutes later he relocated to the chair behind his desk, thinking it might be good to try and get something done. He prepared a clean sheet of paper and readied his ink and brush only to end up falling asleep with his head resting on his arm atop the desk. ~~~ Mizuki thought for a moment before nodding. "I would appreciate both of those offers, thank you," she said, looking to Kousei. "Before we do anything more, however, I think a hot cup of tea is needed at this time. Would you care to join me?" She smiled a bit as she extended the offer, feeling like the tea would help ease the nerves and tension from the battle. Ayashi glance towards the exhausted captain as he finally settled himself to his desk. Then as he slept Ayashi relaxed a bit and turned his focus back onto Nikita. He'd have to remain her for a few hours more to continue with her internal injuries. Those were the first of his worries. The broken bones would heal afterwards but he needed to first get her bleeding stopped and her body stabilized. Something about this girl felt different though, she didn't have the same feel as a usual Shinigami. Ayashi pushed the thoughts away tough, it was not his place to question, it was his place to heal and renew. On into the morning he continued working on her silently. Kousei nodded in return to Mizuki and sighed lightly, thankfully, "I would very much enjoy that." He replied happily as he smiled to his captain and stretched his arms above his head. He would be a bit sore tomorrow from the battle, but that was the fun part. How would you know how hard you fought if you weren't hurting afterwards to prove it? |

Alucard: Keko looked over to the older arrancar and snorted. "Yeah, right. I wasn't even going all out against that captain," she retorted. "Neither was she against you," Ikki murmured, eyes flicking over to her. Keko sent a glare back before turning back to Sithis, face shifting to look a bit more cheerful. "You'll really help me make these menos stronger? Ahaha, the shinigami won't know what hit them~" she sang, cracking a crooked grin. ~~~ Gamergirl: "Hm." Aoi grunted, not feeling the need just yet to implore any further. She led Corynn into the school building and turned down the hall before turning yet again down another hallway, dodging the several students walking the other direction. Then she paused and turned to look at Corynn with an eyebrow raised. "Sorry to ask, but are you sure you're here for a job? You don't look much older than me," she commented. [ Sithis grins "by the time I'm done you'll have your own Espada young one " he says grinning at his younger hollow partner turning and walking away |

"It's nothing! Just keep reading!" Aoi called over her shoulder. She didn't look back but she felt that Corynn had probably followed her. She pulled her necklace off and held the pointed star between her fingers, created her light blue bow of reishi. She then jumped onto the lowest roof of the library and aimed at the hollow. It was shaped like a long slender lizard and wasn't too much bigger than a tall human. SHouldn't be too hard to deal with... I hope.

Mitsuo woke up several hours later feeling quite hazy and sore. His body felt heavy and his head was aching, and as he sat up he held his head and massaged his temples. I feel like I woke up from a night of drinking way too much sake, he thought, almost mustering a laugh. He blinked several times as his vision cleared and looked over to the couch where he remembered leaving Nikita. She was still laying there, and he also noticed the healer was also still there doing his job. "Thank you, for doing this much," he said to Ayashi, figuring it must be late into the night by now.
Mizuki smiled and led the way back to her office. The aftereffects of the battle were starting to set in and she stifled a yawn or two. Her ponytail was nearly fallen out but she didn't bother fixing it, and ended up undoing it entirely when they got to the office. "Have a seat, it'll only be a moment," she said to Kousei as she went to set up the tea kettle.

Keko couldn't help but let out a cackle at Sithis' words, and her grin only grew wider. "So, what are your plans for getting them there?" she asked, trailing after him. Then she stopped. "I will miss their giant forms, though... they're so cute~"
Ikki rolled his eyes. He slowly followed after the two, not quite believing the words of the older arrancar. "Why are you helping her?" he asked. "I rarely see arrancar working together."

Corynn blinks watching her walk out the door before looking down at the paper. "This picture looks blurry... Even for this time period." She mutters and decides to go show Aoi the picture.

Aoi glanced down for a moment and noticed Corynn walking out of the building. "Corynn! Get back inside! Just trust me on this!" she shouted. Her voice had caught the attention of the hollow and it was now speeding towards her. She held her breath and aimed, quickly firing an arrow at its mask. The hollow dodged, but the arrow still managed to chip off a piece of its mask and delay it for a moment.

The hollow then noticed Corynn, and dove for the girl. Aoi cursed under her breath and jumped down from the rooftop, firing a couple more arrows at the monster to keep it at bay. She released more of her power to give her feet a boost and sprinted over to Corynn, pushing her back. "Sorry about that!" she gasped, taking aim at the hollow once more.

Corynn stumbles, and drops the news paper in the process. Finally looking up she feel a big sense of danger in front of her. The feeling reminds her of a conversation that she over heard from her parents that she had forgotten about until now.
